When Mary married Elgie Dupuis, they quickly became inseparable. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and precious memories. In these times of mourning, I am reminded of a passage from John 14:1-3, which says:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, that you also may be where I am."
As we grieve the loss of our Aunt Mary, let us find solace in these words, for her faith and love for the Lord were as strong as her love for us. We can find comfort in knowing that Mary is now in a better place, a place where she can rest in eternal peace.
