Obituary Preview: Joseph Antonio (Pepe) Fernandez, 90, passed away in his home in Delmont on May 15, 2024
Born on June 23,1933 Pepe was the son of the late Jose Ramon and Maria Antonio Fernandez of Donora, formerly of Asturias, Spain. Pepe was very proud of his Spanish heritage. He spoke Spanish fluently. He enjoyed visiting Spain and Majorca. Pepe loved to travel. He had a deep appreciation for the cultures of other lands.
Following his graduation from Donora High School, Pepe was employed by the USS Zinc Works in Donora. He later retired from the USS Irvin Works plant after 44 years of service.
Pepe was blessed with many years to enjoy his retirement. He could often be found at the mall or Panera Bread conversing with friends. He was easily spotted by his full head of silver hair.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Orr Young; three stepsons Bryan (Lisa) Young of Vandergrift, Richard Young of Seminole FL, and Charles (Gretchen) Young of Ford City; five step grandchildren Samantha Young of Pittsburgh, Scout Young of Leechburg, Benjamin Young of Raleigh, NC, Christian Young of Pensacola, Fl, and Zeke Young of Raleigh, NC and twin step great grandsons Eli and Zak Bruni of New Kensington. He is also survived by nieces Judy (Markle) Ruggieri, Carrie (Markle) Richards, and Pamela Markle.
A sister Matilda (Fernandez) Markle, a nephew Harold Markle Jr., and a step granddaughter Ashley Young preceded him in death.
At Pepe's request there will be no viewing and services will be private. Pepe will be laid to rest in Twin Valley Cemetery in Delmont PA. Pepe's family would like to thank all members of the hospice team from Excela Home Health Hospice

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son Joseph, and son Richard, Siblings, William Hopbell, Mary Louise Boyd, and Catherine Hopbell.
Anna Marie will be greatly missed by her children, Raymond (Toni) Burdis, Rita (Wayne) Gabel, Ronald Burdis, Roxanne Lewis, Renee (Jim) Lenart and Daughter-in-law Karen Burdis. Grandchildren, Michelle, Richard, Leighann (Don), Rob, Michael, Matthew (Luhan), Jason, Kevin (Meghan), and Kate. Great-grandchildren, Collin (Nina), Chloe, Claudia, John, Anna, Ellie, and Molly.  She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
When she wasn’t enjoying her family, she loved watching game shows on TV, Anna Marie was an avid Notre Dame fan, she was devoted to The Blessed Mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 of her siblings.
Mona will be greatly missed by her daughter Gina Gallucci-Tatosian and two grandchildren, Irena (Nash) Tatosian- Golon, soon to be great-grandchild, baby boy Golon, and Madeline Tatosian.
She enjoyed doing many things in her free time, some of them included, golf, bocce, dancing, and most importantly shopping. Everyone who knew Mona always knew she was a sharp dressed woman.

Barbara was a graduate of Franklin Regional High School, and a member of The Guys and Gals button box group. She enjoyed Swedish embroidery and was an accomplished baker. She loved the time she spent with family, especially her grandchildren, family meant the most to her.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marschik Sr., siblings, Frank, George, John, Thomas, Anna.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. (Tracy) Marschik Jr. of Greensburg, sister, Agnes Kuznik, brother-in-law, Dave (Anne) Marschik, sister-in-law, Louise Matesic, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a proud grandmother of her granddaughters, Katherine (Matthew) Thomas, and Barbara (Michael) States, great-granddaughters, Margaret, and Caroline States, who she loved dearly.

Fred was a very devoted husband and loving father.  He was an active member of the New Alexandria Lions Club and the Salem Ukrainian Club.  When Fred wasn’t enjoying time with his family, you could find him passionately cheering for all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. He was the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh. Fred had a true servant heart and was always willing to lend a hand to whoever and where ever it was needed.
Fred is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tracy (Barton) Lydick; his children, Regan (Randall) of Greentree, and Brenden (Megan) of Salem Twp and his sisters, Kathie (Mark) Knupp, Sue (Tom) Kline, Debbie (Kevin) Ruff and Lori (Doug) Brown along with numerous nieces and nephews. Fred will be greatly missed by his family, numerous friends, and his community.

Liz will be greatly missed by her daughter ChrisAnne (Stacy) Blatney, two daughters-in-law, Lori Blatney and Tammy Rawlinson, five grandchildren, Lindsey, Justin, Daniel (Sedona), and Shawn (Lauren) Blatney, and Christina Rawlinson, One great-grandchild, Kinsley Blatney, and numerous nieces and nephews, most importantly her devoted furr-companion Precious. She was also survived by many dear friends who were like family. The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice for the wonderful care for Liz.
Liz was a proud graduate of Sewickley High School and then went on to the Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. She enjoyed that job for many years prior to retirement.

Jim will be greatly missed by his wife of 70 years LaVerne (Kramer) Vaia, his dog Molly. His children, Flash (Kim) Vaia, Dan (Terri) Vaia, and Missy Vaia. His grandchildren Tony Vaia, Bobbi Jo Vaia, Jennifer (Chris) Askins, Mark (Devon) Vaia, and Eric (Christa) Vaia. 10 great-grandchildren, Lena (Ethan) Vaia, Franki Vaia, Vin and Ivy Vaia, Mila Askins, Jaxson and Jade Vaia, Max, Arista, and Judah Vaia. His Siblings Butch (Patti) Vaia and Yvonne Herald.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, cutting grass in the summer, riding on his tractor, and digging in the dirt.
The family wants to thank all of his caregivers and Via Quest Hospice for the wonderful care he was given.

Alfred enjoyed working on his corvette, Polka dancing, visiting with friends, cutting grass, pig roasts, being the Slickville Historian, and especially loving his grandkids. Prior to his retirement, Alfred was employed by Beckwith Machinery as a Field Service Manager for 35 years. Alfred was also co-owner of L.J Novak Oil Company.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Novak, Frank (Goldie) Novak, Albert (Donna) Novak, and his sister, Laverna Novak.
Alfred will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Audrey (Biss) Novak, daughter, Laura (George) Yarbenet, sons, John (Holly) Novak, Martin (Mary) Novak, and his sister, Jane (Tom) McClaren.
Alfred was a proud grandfather of Nicole Yarbenet, Griffin Yarbenet, Jeff (Jacquie) Novak, John Novak Jr., Kate (Tyler) Hohmann, Martin (Cassandra) Novak Jr., Mark Novak, and fiancé (Kristyn), great-grandson, Anthony Novak, who he loved dearly.

Curtis was a Mason in the construction business, his work was breathtaking, he also was a Carpenter, a jack of all trades you could say, he could do anything. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially his dog Mellow. Curt loved his family, and he had a charm that was unstoppable, his daughters and Mellow were his whole world, and everyone knew that.
In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his nephew, Shawn Michael Bernhardy, his stepson, Jimmy Albertson and Jimmys mother Tina Albertson, and most recently Kimberly Fox “Grandma Kim”.
Curtis will be sadly missed by his daughters, Brittany Waugaman (Evan D’ Ascenzo), Angelina Waugaman (Jake Miller) both from Murrysville, and their mother Michelle Waugaman (Miles Brkovich) of Greensburg, and another daughter Jessica Waite (Tina’s Daughter) of Claridge, sisters, Lari (Raphael) Uncapher of Apollo, Brenda Bernhardy of Apollo, brother-in-law, George Bernhardy of Penn, numerous nieces, and nephews, and their children.

Jimmietta will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband, Ronald Corradini Jr., who she married October 28, 2021, daughter, Jamie M. Brown, son, Michael J. Lanfrankie and Rachael A. Warren will be missed by his daughters, Mikey Clark of Avonmore, Nancy Schimizzi of Virginia, Mary (Bill) Thall of Jamestown, Barbara "B.J."(T.J.) Bellotti of Avonmore; son, Warren R. (Paula) Schimizzi Jr of Saltsburg. A brother, Richard (Sam) Schimizzi of Greensburg, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved being on his tractor, fishing at Pymatuning Lake with his best friend Oren Keibler, hunting on his farm as well as hunting trips out west. Warren truly enjoyed playing poker with his brothers and nephews every other week. After his retirement from Hillview Motors, Warren enjoyed country line dancing with his late wife Barbara as well as woodworking and spending time with family.

She worked at Moreland Sportswear and then for many years at Kaufman’s Department Store, where she was known by many as “K.J. the shoe lady”. When she wasn’t working, she loved to sing, she was even in a band. She also enjoyed sewing. Katherine also loved to travel whenever she could. The Legos were spread out all over the floor (it must’ve driven Grandma Shirley nuts), and before we left, we put them back into the laundry basket lined with a pillowcase.
