“Timmy,” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, accepted Christ at an early age. He later rededicated his life to Christ in 2022. He was a member of A Family With A Heart For God Christian Church in Gordon, AL.  He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to many.  His smile and laughter were infectious.

Obituary Preview: Willie J. McCrory was born February 23, 1933, in Gordon Alabama. She was the daughter of the late JC McClendon and Eva Mae Westley (McKinney). She was baptized at an early age and attended St. John’s Baptist Church.
At the age of 18, she left home to see what the world had to offer. In 1952 she was married to Sammie L. McCrory in Haines City, Florida.  She was a woman who was not afraid of work and always held two jobs to support her family.
She met no strangers and loved to make people laugh. She cared deeply for her family and often gave them words of wisdom. She always had a willing heart to help others. She accepted Christ in her adult life and was a member of North 8th Street Church of God in Reading, PA, where she served on the usher board for many years.
Upon retiring she returned to Alabama to care for her mother. She then joined Trinity Baptist church where she served for many years. She also worked as a foster grandparent at Ashford Elementary School for 5 years. It was rewarding for her to impact the lives of so many young people.
When her health began to fail, she relocated to Massachusetts to reside with her daughter Ellen and her family. This is where she lived for the last 12 years. In her last days, she began to show signs of Alzheimer’s, however through it all she never lost her faith in God. She would faithfully ask God to forgive her and give her a home in glory when this life is over.

Charles received his education through Dothan City Schools, and was a Carver High School alumi. After high school he joined the United States Army and after his Honorable Discharge Charles started his career as a over the road truck driver.  He drove many years for Kenworth Trucking Company of Dothan, AL.  Brewton Block Company and many others.  He then went on to start his own fencing company. In his free time he loved spending time with family playing his bass guitar, and singing at the L&J music hall, which was a place he built with his very own hands for his quartet family to sing in. Charles leaves to cherish his memories his twelve children; Charles (Felica) Myhand, Shawn Myhand, Melissa (Charles) Lamoley, Kareem (Angela) Poke, Allerie (Stephanie) Gilmore, Latonya Gilmore, Lattifany Kahn, Lateisha (Joey) Elliot, Jerome Swain, Ladonna His two sisters; Mamie Myhand Swain, and Jean Myhand Price who cared for him so dearly during his illness.  A loving niece; Ms. Cynthia Myhand, his companion Carrie. William Micheal Snell - February 27, 1955 - July 25, 2023

Obituary Preview: William Micheal Snell, Sr., affectionately known as Bill, passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 68, at his home in Seaford, Delaware. His battle with several medical issues showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile. Despite his pain, he was a protector and stayed strong until the end.
Bill was a master mechanic and as the saying goes, he could fix anything from steamboats to billy goats. He maintained a commercial driver's license throughout his life and has driven trucks.  He was employed by the following companies: Maryland Truck Parts, Chambers Motors, and Seaford Disposal. He would make fast friends wherever he lived or worked and had a genuine ingenuity about mechanics design and repair. He had a passion for drag racing and enjoyed going to local drag strips, occasionally attending a national drag racing event.
In the heyday of CB radios, he had every car equipped with one and a base station at home. His CB handle was “Nighthawk”. He would spend many hours chatting with fellow CB users and truck drivers across the country. In his later years, he was a big NASCAR fan; Dale Earnhardt, Sr. was his favorite driver. He loved that old number 03.
When he was not working, Bill would grab a pole and find a fishing spot. He passionately named one place, drop a line and catch a fish. He also enjoyed taking his children to amusement parks and going on long road trips, mostly to Alabama.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lola and Ralph Snell; sisters, Maxine Farmer, Pamela Fenn, Evangeline Snell, Francine Duncan, and Angeline Snell; and brothers, Henry Fenn, Harry Fenn, and Williams Snell, all of Dothan, Alabama.
Bill is survived by his former spouse, Denise Snell; their children, Jacqueline Wildman (Gerard), Jason Norris, William Snell, Jr., Bruce Snell, Dean Snell, and Gene Snell, (Chelsea); eight wonderful grandchildren, Jason Norris, Jr., Jazmine Snell, Sasha Norris, Olivia Snell, Allissa Norris, Gene Snell, Jr., Rhiannon Snell, and Victoria Wildman; three great-grandchildren, Riley Norris, Jaizod Williams, Jr., and Halo Norris; four siblings, Irmatine Bealyer (Hansler), Ronald Snell, Robert Snell, and Richard Snell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lisa was born on August 29, 1962, in Peoria, Illinois, and graduated from Pekin Community High School in the Class of 1980. Lisa was a true cat lady, and her love for felines was no secret. She was always taking in stray kittens and giving them a perfect  home. Lisa also had a passion for the beach, where she loved to soak up the sun and walk along the shores of the ocean with her youngest daughter, Lauren. Lisa's favorite color was purple, and she was always fighting with her sister Linda over who got to be the purple playing piece in Trivial Pursuit during family gatherings. This tradition, along with the love of purple, continued with her oldest daughter Melissa. Lisa's taste in music was classic. She loved everything from Keith Urban to Jason Aldean to Brooks & Dunn. Her favorite song was “Neon Moon; by Brooks & Dunn, even though it always made her cry. Lisa is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Glass-Gonzales (Adrian) of Pekin, IL, and Lauren Turner (Logan) of Decatur, TN, and her five granddaughters, Riley, Mila, Nora, Paisley, and Amelia. These five girls all called her Mimi. Also surviving are her nieces Michelle Jones and Kimberly Esser. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Betty Washburn, her brothers Larry Washburn and Loren Washburn, her sister Linda Pennington, and her nephew Michael Shaw. Lisa's services are to be determined at a later date, and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to TAPS No Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin, Illinois.

Obituary Preview: Louis A. Teague Sr. was born October 29, 1960 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Mr. Bud and Caldonia Teague.   Louis better known as “P-Nut” would brighten up any room that he entered. He knew that when he answered to the calling that God placed upon his life that it would prepare him for such a time as this.  He would always say, “I’m Alright, cause God’s got me.” After high school graduation he worked for the City of Dothan and continued doing what he loved to do which was playing basketball.  When he turned his life over to Christ, he became a mentor at Westgate Church Of Christ, He then joined Acts Church  Christian Center where he became an Elder.  He felt that his mission was to preach the word to everyone.  His spirit was genuine, loving, and peaceful.  He will be missed by many.
Louis Teague was proceeded in death by his lovely wife Stephanie Wimbush Teague; Father Bud Teague; Mother Caldonia Teague; Sister Evelyn Miranda; Brother Willie “Red” Daniels. She was raised up at 909 Linden Street with her grandparents who also preceded her in death. Emma went to high school where she learned how to be a hairstylist, which was a passion she loved and provided for the community for many years. She also worked at Village Cleaners for many years and retired from that job. Emma was a Seventh Day Adventist church member, and was loved by everyone everywhere she went. Most everybody either called her momma or Granny.  To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed. Emma Coleman was preceded in death by her son; Otis Coleman. One sister; Martha P. Jackson Reed. Two brothers; Larenzo Jackson, and Cleavon Coleman. She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter; Sylvia (Detrick) Roberson. Jose had many talents by baking became his love and life long career until he retired in Boston where he lived until he relocated to Alabama.

Eddie Charles Smith attended Rehobeth High school and graduated from there in 1979. He was a member at Bethesda Apostolic Faith Temple, for many years. He grew up in the church. He was a prayer warrior loved the Lord dearly, and was able to bring others to Christ.
Eddie was known as “Bootman” to his coworkers and friends. He loved people and never met a stranger. He was a person with a big heart.  He was a very hard worker, and he was very special to anyone who was around him or knew him.
His memories will remain with his loving wife Carolyn Perkins Smith whom he called his “Queen” of 25 years. She was the love of his life. A son; Joshua Perkins of Dothan, Al. Whom was very dear to him.  A God sister Tiffany Patrick Clark of West Palm Beach , Fl. Also a sister Mary Turner of Dothan, Al. Mama Jewel Smith who was just like a mother to him. Survivors also include his brother Superintendent Eugene (Evelyn) Smith of Kinsey, Al.  Three biological sisters Evangelist Eva Johnson Midland City, Al.  Elder Mary Arnette Lynn of Dothan, Al.  Remona smith of Houston, Tx.  Uncles;  Don White,  Bishop Robert (Freddie Mae)  White and  Pastor Jimmy White all from Anderson, Indiana. Bishop Phillip (Daisy) Smith, Paul (Sheena) Smith, Shelly (Lillian) Smith all of Dothan, Al. and Cecil Smith.  A host of nieces nephews and first cousins other relatives and friends.  Much love to the Howell Family his coworkers and friends whom will all miss him dearly.

Marsha married Lloyd Wilson in 1991, and from this union came her two children, Victoria and Lloyd Joshua. As a mother she was dedicated, loving, and a strong role model.
Marsha earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from Nazareth College. In 2019, she earned her Master of Social Work degree from Troy University. Marsha had a passion for empowering people and was an advocate for her clients. She was also a faithful member of the usher board at Total Restoration Church. She always looked forward to participating in various ministries and volunteered to serve her church family in any capacity. Her friends and family will always cherish their memories of Marsha.

Shirley was brought up in Midland City, and obtained her education in the Dale County School System.            Shirley accepted Jesus Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Midland City, Alabama. She later joined First True Outreach Ministries, Dothan, Alabama where she was a faithful member for many years. Later in life she joined Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama. After moving to Dothan, Shirley was employed at Ansell Incorporated for several years, she was also employed by Dr. Allan & Deborah Prince, M.D. until her retirement. Shirley loved attending church, participating in many church related activities and listening to gospel music. Her favorite pass time was fishing. Through out her life she taught her grandchildren, nephews, and nieces how to fish. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and being “Big Mama.”
In her younger life Shirley met and married Mr. L.C. Dull Sr. This union brought forward two children: L.C Jr. and Shirley Dull.  After becoming a widow, Shirley later married Mr. M.C. McCree, this union brought forth four children: Brenda, Sue, Debra, and Joe.
She is preceded in death by both parents, sisters; Betty Jean Higgins, Eva Lou Helms and Ruby Joyce Helms, brothers; Robert Lee Helms, Willie James Helms, Jasper Helms, Gregory Helms, Martin Earl Helms, Robert Earl Helms and Hollis Earl Helms, grandchildren; Justin Lewis, Ke′Vocion Williams and Jaylen King, great grandchild; Trustin Williams.

Clifton was blessed with a large and loving family. Clifton was a loving, free spirited person. He loved his family very deeply and anyone that knew Clifton, knew that Clifton Jr. was his world. It was always, “My son this” and ”My son that”. Clifton would give his son any and everything. Cliff enjoyed hanging out with his family friends on the Block playing cards, listening to music and on any given Sunday, Cliff would be talking about his favorite football team, The Green Bay Packers.

Joseph Mills Jr. was born on May 2, 1941, in Queen New York, to his parents the late Virginia Robinson and Joseph Mills Sr. There were five children in all. Three of Joseph’s siblings proceeded him in death.; one brother Raymond Mills, and two sisters; Carrie Bell Mills, and Passie (Henry) Owens.
Joseph Mills jr. married Betty Mills in New York, then moved to Richmond, VA, Joseph Mills was also raised by his loving late aunt and favorite uncle Lawrence and Caroline.
Joe as he was affectionately called was a good husband, wonderful father, and a good friend. He believed in helping his children, grandchildren and family members out any way he could. If Joe had it, he would give it to you.  All you had to do is just ask him. He had a great sense of humor, was very comical, and would say the funniest of things.  Everyone fell in love with Joe, no matter where he was or went. When admitted in the hospital, the nurses called him there “Big Teddy Bear.”  His dialysis nurses loved him, and so did all of his roommates.
Some people always said he had features of the late great Cassius Clay AKA Heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali. Joe was a boxer during his early teens to young adult days.
Joe hobbies included playing the lotto and cards with his buddies in the country and watching wrestling.  He loved dogs and max was his favorite. Max was his bodyguard.
Joe always said he had 9 lives and he defeated them all because he was a blessed, strong man to survive them all.  He will truly be missed by his children, family, and friends.
Joseph leaves to cherish his loving memories his three beautiful, loving, and caring children; Two daughters    Lorie (Willie) Arnett , and Yalonda (Gregory) Reynolds; One son Gregory Mills; One sister-in-law Barbra Mills; Eighteen  grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, and good ole buddies.
