Obituary Preview: Palmer M. Flack, 62, of Hastings, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Palmer was preceded in death by his father, Theodore, and his sister, Kerry.
To know Palmer was to know love. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of McLane Northeast for 35 years. His passions were his family, the outdoors, and building whatever he could. He was always willing to put other before himself to lend a helping hand, and expected nothing in return.
His family is so proud of the man that he was, and all of the lives that he touched.
Palmer is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Wendy; his son, Anthony Flack; his daughter, Amanda (Eric) Mayers, and grandson, Emmett; and his mother, Mimi Flack.
Calling hours for Palmer will be held Friday, April 29th from 4 to 6 PM at the Traub Funeral Home in Central Square.

He was born in Manlius, NY to the late Howard and the late Edna (Mason) Wescott. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Sharon (Tanner) Wescott; his sons, Paul Wescott and Mike Wescott; siblings, Howard Wescott, Jr., Arlene Zink, and George Wescott.
Paul joined the United States Army where he served 4 years. He worked for Detroit Diesel as a Diesel Mechanic and he retired from Oswego Asphalt. Paul loved his work and his family. He was a member of the American Legion, the Oswego County ATV Club, and the Teamsters Union #317.
Paul is survived by his children, William Wescott, Sherrie Wescott, Lori Wescott, Kerrie Jay (Yvonne) Wescott, Shannon Sofsky, Kimberly Sofsky, Jennifer (Huggins) Wescott, Melissa (Michael) Wendt, and Jessica Wescott; his sister, Minnie Hall; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved “Granny”.

She was born on December 29, 1957 in Syracuse to the late Hadwin and the late Geraldine (Gerthoffer) Bisbo. Melanie was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Graber and her sister, Bonnie Bisbo.
Melanie graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in 1976. She then went to Oswego State where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. Melanie dedicated her life to caring for her children. She was always there to help anyone in need. Melanie loved to dance and knew how to have fun. Melanie enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors.
Melanie is survived by her husband, David; children, Erica Graber, Micheline Stevenson, and Nora Stevenson; siblings, Jill (Ben) Supraski, Sherry (George) Gibbs, Cindy (Gino) Fortino, Ginger (Michael) Corr, Mark Bisbo, Michael Bisbo, and Julie Bisbo; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Charlene M. Marsello, 72, passed away peacefully in her home on April 11, 2022. She was the widow of Guy (Tom) Marsello. They shared just shy of 44 years of marriage together.
Born in Herkimer, NY, on October 31, 1949, Charlene was the daughter of Rita and Howard Foertsch.
Charlene was retired from her job at R.H. Schaub and Associates, where she was employed for 30 years. Prior to that, she was employed at Reymore Chevrolet.  She was a Boy Scout leader, and a member of The Lioness Club of Central Square.
Charlene enjoyed fishing, camping, and league-bowling, and had been known to run a pool table.
She will be remembered for her great sense-of-humor, fierce independence, strong work ethic, and her love of slot machines.
She was extremely passionate about rescuing animals from shelters, giving many a loving home.
Charlene is survived by her brother, Peter (Jackie) Foertsch; her children, Suzanne (James) Marsello, Julianne (Micah) Marsello, Joseph (Trish) Marsello; her grandchildren, Thomas (Heather) Moody, Cameryn Williams, Zion Belair, Sophia Belair, John (Jill) Kelly, James (Holly) Kelly, Tricia (Kayla) Kelly; her great-grandchildren, Wyatt Boyzuck, Carson Kelly, Cole Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: On Thursday, April 7, 2022, Mrs. Sally E. Clark of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully at age 77 to be with Jesus in heaven after a long courageous battle against acute leukemia.
Sally was born December 14, 1944, in Dunkirk, NY, and graduated with her master's degree from the State University of New York, Fredonia in 1966. Sally enjoyed reading, book club, crocheting, birding, gardening and spending time with her seven grandchildren. She taught reading and math at West Genesee Schools for 36 years. She loved her students, co-workers, and friends from book club. Sally was a member of Clay Community Church for several years participating in choir, bible study and services.
Sally was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Samuel Lazarony. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bradley Clark, her brother Donald (Linda) Lazarony and sister Margaret (Ronald) Tofil, daughters Michelle (Steven) Erickson, Deborah (Eric) Stroh and Andrea (Matthew) Ducharme, as well as several grandchildren: Zachary, Nathaniel, Joshua, Elisabeth, Cameron, Lincoln and Grant.
A memorial service is planned for 1:00 on April 12, 2022, Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville.

Obituary Preview: Veronica F. Proulx, 90, of West Monroe, NY passed away at home Tuesday with her family by her side.
Veronica was born in Lowville, NY to the late George W and Nellie (Dickinson) Veitch on September 1, 1931. She married the love of her life, James, in 1952 and they celebrated 67 years of marriage, when he passed in 2019.
Veronica volunteered at the Downstairs Scotty and Food Pantry at St Michaels for 30 years. She was a Religious Education teacher for several years. Wherever the church needed a volunteer, Veronica was always there to help. She loved Knitting, gardening, cooking, sewing, and playing cards. After her husband retired, they spent summers at Jerden Falls at their camp. Veronica was very giving and very loving. She was a “Mom” to the entire neighborhood.
Veronica is survived by her eight children, Jacqueline (Timothy) Brockett of Parish, NY, Gary (Debra) Proulx of  St. Joseph, MI, Donna Proulx of Central Square, NY, Mark (Ava) Proulx of Pahrump, NV; Patty (David) Smith of Palermo, NY, Sue (Ronald) Perkins of Palermo, NY, Amy (Matthew) Gorman of West Monroe, NY, and Stephen (Teresa) Proulx of Parish, NY; 22 Grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson; siblings, Frederick (Florence) Veitch and Pauline Babcock; she was the favorite aunt of all of her nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be 5-7pm on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 am on Wednesday at Divine Mercy Parish.  Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.

He settled in Parish with his childhood sweetheart, Norma McDougall and is survived by Norma and their four boys: Daniel, Nicholas, Joel and Kevin Jr; His wife, Tina and their three children, Ashley, Joseph and Laura. He is also survived by his father, Keith of Parish, three sisters, Kathy and Janet both of Parish, Kay of Oswego, and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Trudy retired from Higbee Gaskets in Syracuse NY after many years of loyal service, her coworkers admired her hard-working ethics. Gertrude loved to bowl in her younger years and enjoyed country music! She loved to shop online and build her collection of beautiful peaceful hummingbirds.
Gertrude is survived by her children, Wayne (Holly) Baker, Darlene (Glen) Shoop, Bruce (Sherry) Baker, Jeff Baker, Christopher (Amy) Williams and the late David Baker. Gertrude will be missed by her sisters Valerie (Larry) Laribee, Doris (Bill) Adner, and multiple late siblings. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great/great-grandchild, nieces and nephews. Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us

In his 83 years on Earth, he was loved by many for last 26 years he was cared for and loved by The Thurston Family and their extended family.
He worked at Oswego County Industry for many years until retiring in his 70’s to enjoy their Senior Program and lunches with his brother Bob.
Bill’s pastime was watching Westerns, toast, drinking coffee, paper, hats and family time with his adopted family.
He was born in Jamaica, Long Island, New York. He was predeceased by his parents, William Burkert and Elizabeth Constanza Burkert and his brother, Robert Burkert
He is survived and missed by Morris and Tina Thurston, their children Mandy (Steve) Labodin, Christopher (Kayleigh) Thurston, Nicholas, Jason and Joey Tibbles.
Their grandchildren saw him as an uncle and miss him deeply along with many extended family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11 am- 2pm at TRaub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2 pm.

Vern graduated in 1950 from Central High School and then joined the Army Reserve in 1950 until 1959. He was owner and operator of Aero Marina Conway since 1960 after taking over the family business from his parents. Vern was a Town of Cicero Board member and Chairman. He spent 1 year on the planning board and was past President of the Marine Dealers Association, past President of the South Bay Snowmobile Club, Board of Directors of Central New York Waterways, Yamaha Outboard Motor Dealer Council, Yamaha Water Vehicle Dealer, and Larson Boat Company Dealer Council. He was a Lie member of the South Bay Volunteer Fire Department, served as Assistant Chief, then promoted to Chief for several years. The new Town of Cicero Highway Department building was dedicated to him in his name.
Vern is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie J. (Wise); their 5 children, Marla J. Carno, Merritt A. (Maureen) Conway, Vernon M. (Wendy) Conway, Pamela A. (Daniel) Kurtz, and David S. (Carrie) Conway; 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
There will not be any immediate services. A Celebration of Life will take place in August with a date to be announced.

She absolutely loved spending time with her family, and spoiling us all. Natalie is predeceased by her parents , brother Gregor Korenini, and Beloved son Christopher Berg. She is also predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Norman Berg Jr. (Pop) Survived by; Daughter Nikol (Jason House) Berg; Son Justin (Kate Martin, Lexi lemon) Berg ; brother Karl Korenini ; adored grand daughters Makenzi and Allie Berg ; Loved nieces & nephews and many extended family and friends. Gene was in the United States Navy after High School where he served on the USS Forrestal at Norfolk, Va. During the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then began his career as a Truck Driver and he worked at various companies including JLT Trucking. Gene was a member of the Hastings Volunteer Fire Department and was Chief for several years. He was an Under Water Rescue Diver for Oswego County and he drove for SOVAC Ambulance. Gene was a member of the Hastings VFW in which he and his father founded.  His member number is #1. Gene enjoyed drinking beer and riding his Harley. He liked to fish.
Gene is survived by his sons, Rick (Shanna) Huling, Eugene (Anna Husted) Huling III, and Michael (Stacey) Huling; siblings, Roy (Gloria) Huling, Kay (the late David) Smith, Joan (Laverne) Israel, Judy (James) Roggina, Sandi (Carmi) Wells, Terry (Corrine) Veith, Pamela Huling, and Dawn Huling; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Chester A. Perkins, 92, of Hastings , passed away on March 22, 2022 in Liverpool. He was born on March 1, 1930 in Princeton, Maine to the late Arthur C. and the late Hilda T. (Shankel) Perkins. Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2020, and his son, Lawrence.
Chester graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in Maine. He then went to the University of Maine at Orono where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Right after college he began his career with General Electric where he retired from in 1986. He married Mary Strout on September 13, 1953 and they settled in Central Square in 1956 where they raised their family. Chester was very active in the First Universalist Church of Central Square and held several positions on their board. Chester was on the Board of Directors for the YMCA and he volunteered with RSVP every year to help people with their taxes at the Central Square Library. He delivered Meals on Wheels in the North Region. Chester enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and visiting with their families at their camp on Green Pond in Maine.
Chester is survived by his children, Kelvin (Kim) Perkins, Timothy (Tracey) Perkins, and Cheryl (Robert Figger) Perkins;  10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Moore High school and a 1983 graduate of SUNY Morrisville.   She worked for many years in the health and human services in various roles.  However, her life's work was raising her 4 children, Megan Mawhinney (Michael), Robert, Emily (Melissa Hall), and Matthew.  She often spoke of how proud she was to have raised 4 successful, confident, "amazing" (her words) kids.  Her dedication to her children was unwavering and selfless. In addition to her children, she is survived by her devoted parents, Charles and Gail Lauricella, her sister, Christina Moses (Peter), brother Kevin (Beverly) Lauricella, beloved granddaughters Adelyn and Bridget,  along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and ex-husband Donald McPherson.  Cindy will be forever remembered for her quick sense of humor, fierce devotion to her children, compassion for those she cared for, love of music, and her passion for food and cooking.  She spent her life caring for others, both in her family, through her work in healthcare, and in volunteering with the Girl Scouts and Pompey Hill Ladies' Auxiliary.   The family would like to thank the staff of Loretto's RCU for their compassionate care.

Anthony will also be missed by Marci his beloved Boxer.
He is also leaving behind many friends at the Pentecostal Church of Fulton where he was the assistant pastor.
He studied at Holy Bible at Lancaster Bible College Capital Seminary & Graduate school from 2012-2016 and was currently studying at the Urshan Graduate School of Theology from 2017 to present.
In his spare time he enjoyed making models and watching all sports.  Most of all he was an avid baseball fan of the Boston Red Sox.  Tony has left a hole in all our hearts and will be loved and missed forever.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 12, at the River of Life Church, City Line Road, Oswego, NY.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother , and grandmother. She volunteered at the food bank and various other places.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry H; her children, Heather M. Briest- Proulx, Theresa L. (Richard Mylchreest) Briest, and Benjamin Briest; grandchildren, Anthony Proulx, Tiffany (Bryan)  Smith, Nicole (Brandon) Balcom, and Victoria Van Wagner; and 4 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Monday March 7, 2022 from 3-6 pm at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Bryant officiating.
A Spring Burial will take place on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 10 AM  in West Amboy Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Debra “Deb” Corsette, 67, of Constantia passed away on March 1, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, with her family by her side.  She was born in Syracuse, NY on February 21, 1955, to the late Bernard Corsette and Ruth (Harrington) Corsette.  She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Corsette.
Deb was a Medical Records Technician for Health Direct for the last 14 years, she loved her work family and often referred to them as a second family.  She was kind and generous to everyone she met, she never missed a family gathering, and she could often be seen playing bingo.
Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and would always be found cheering on the sidelines for their football and baseball games.
She will most be remembered for making people laugh and we will all miss her wit and her contagious smile.
Deb is survived by her son Nick (Stacy) Corsette, grandchildren Cole and Cameron Corsette all of Hastings; her mother Ruth Corsette of Constantia, siblings Gary (Denise) Corsette of Central Square, Billy (Alida) Corsette of Hastings, and Betty (David) Potter of West Monroe, several nieces and nephews she loved dearly along with great nieces and nephews she adored.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 3- 5 PM at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Graveside Service will take place in the Spring.
