Obituary Preview: Anna Leahy passed away May 2, 2023 at the age of 74, in Jacksonville, FL. Born in Louisville, KY on August 28, 1948, Anna was the daughter of the late Clara Catherine Hasty and John Henry Hasty.
In 1967, Anna married the love of her life Timothy Leahy and they shared almost 56 years of marriage together. Anna, Timothy and their three daughters (Traci, Christi & Tiffiny) relocated from Louisville, KY to Jacksonville, FL in 1980.
Anna spent most of her time raising her three daughters alongside of her husband. Anna excelled in motherhood and was the foundation of her family. She cared deeply for her family and friends and always provided support to every child that crossed her path. She was known for always lending a helping hand to others during difficult times and was always the constant cheerleader and supporter to her family, friends as well as total strangers. Most of her time was spent with her husband at ballparks, gymnasiums and football fields watching their daughters and oldest grandson do what they loved to do as well as many of the children in her neighborhood. Anna also worked as the School Crossing Guard for Holiday Hill Elementary with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office for 25 years. During her time as a School Crossing Guard, she became very close with many families in the neighborhood. If the kids needed lunch money, fieldtrip money or just a hug she was always there for them. She had a significant impact on many people in our community and especially the children.
Anna leaves behind her husband Timothy Leahy, her children Traci Leahy, Christi Powell (Jason), Tiffiny Leahy (Hunter) and grandson’s Aiden, Jase and Hunter James. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Fisher, niece Katie Stubbs (James), 2 great nephews JD and James Ellis, her fur babies Bella and Ashley, many friends, extended family, and kids that she loved dearly throughout our community. Anna was preceded in death by her parents Clara Catherine Hasty and John Henry Hasty; sisters Minnie Smith, Helen Smith, Sara Hasty; brother-in-law John Fisher; mother-in-law Thelma Marie Leahy and father-in-law John Patrick Leahy.
A memorial service will be held for Anna on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2pm at Holiday Hill Baptist Church 730 Mandalay Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Senior Pastor Albert Byrd officiating.

Obituary Preview: Kenneth Richard Fowler, 86, passed away on April 7, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Dunnellon, Florida, the only child of “Jack” and Alma Fowler. He was a resident of Jacksonville for the last 80 years. Kenneth was a man of many talents and a Master Carver who specialized in wood, but also carved shell, stone, ivory, and seeds. If it could be carved, he used it. His carving started as a hobby at the age of six and developed into a lifelong gift that touched his family, friends, and many others. His detailed work received multiple awards over the years ultimately competing at the skill level of “Master Carver.” In addition, to his carving, he spent many hours digging for artifacts and old bottles. Kenneth’s knowledge of Florida wildlife was second to none. His ability to fix and repair almost anything was a point of pride with him and a bonus for all the family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Eleanor Lourcey Fowler and their three daughters: Cynthia F. Nettleton (Edward) of Norfolk, VA, Bonny F. Charleston of Jacksonville, FL, and Louise E.F. Roussin (Lewis) of Jacksonville, FL, as well as his son: Kenneth R. Fowler, Jr. (Anne) of Cummings, GA. He was the proud grandfather (Papa) of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Kenneth is pre-deceased by his parents and his son-in-law, Chuck Charleston.
A funeral mass for Kenneth will be held in Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Thursday, April 13th at 1:00 P.M., with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.

She married Wallace Manuel Hagan, the love of her life on July 9th 1949, and they had one son, James William Hagan, and spent many wonderful years together. She retired from Woolworth and was one of the first female managers, which was a great accomplishment in those times. She enjoyed traveling in her camper, and camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness, and would take her grandson often.
In her later years, she enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo with her friends, and cooking extravagant meals for her family for the holidays. She made the best hummingbird cake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Manuel Hagan, son James William Hagan, parents, Nina Mae and James Wilmot. She is survived by her grandson, James Wallace (J.W.) Hagan (Dana), and great grandchildren Addison and William Hagan. A private graveside service was held on April 3, 2023 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32207.

Al worked for Winn Dixie for forty years, he was also the owner of Media Content Advantage and most recently was employed by UPS, many may remember him as the videographer for JM Video Productions or LaBonita Video.
Al is survived by his mother Winnie Brooker Doane, He was a devoted father of four sons; Justin Michael Doane, Cody Weil Doane, Dallas Austin (Nicole) Doane and Dylan Casey Doane, a sister Melanie E. Barat and brother Darrell R. (Susan) Doane.
Al is preceded in death by his father John E. Doane, Sr., and a sister Starla R. Doane, grandparents; Roy Edwin and Willie Pearl (Mathis) Doane, Evan Wilson and Maggie Christine (Buckins) Brooker.
Al was born and raised in Jacksonville Fl and graduated from Englewood High School in 1975. He was also a member of The River City Mens Chorus and
was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan who never lost faith in his team and longed for the day that the Jaguars would play in the superbowl.
John (Al) will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bailey and her husband Matthew Frake of Davenport, FL, a son Joseph Hoke Board of Jax, FL, a sister Rose (Ken) Bailey Smith of Jax, FL, a brother Stephen (Margaret) Bailey of Interlocken, FL and two grandsons; Dillon (Mackenzie) Hoke Board of Jax, FL and Dalton Hoke Board of Aurora, CO. Paul was also preceded in death by his oldest brother David Bailey and his grandmothers; Mildred Pennington and Minnie Bailey. For Paul, being a public servant was a natural calling. As a teenager he volunteered with the fire department and always enjoyed helping people. He retired with JSO after twenty-six and a half years, receiving a lifesaving medal. He was a JSO helicopter pilot and served as a training officer. He was often called on to be PIS, a compliment to his knowledge and work ethic.
