Harry J. Enea, III - February 20, 1970 - May 30, 2023

Departed: 05/30/2023 (Ilion)
Obituary Preview: Hard Rock Harry February 20, 1970 — May 30, 2023 Winter Garden, FL/Little Falls, NY
The rock gods have called upon Harry, a devoted father, son, a thoughtful friend and a loving brother. It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Harry J. Enea, III, “Hard Rock Harry”, age 53, of Winter Garden, Florida. Harry, a well-known area DJ, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023. He had the love, encouragement and support of his entire family at the time of his passing, following a brief illness.
Harry was born on Feb. 20, 1970 in White Plains, NY, the son of Harry J. Enea Jr. (Lisa) and Sheila Marie Holleran. Harry was blessed with two cherished children, Cameron and Chris who reside at home with their mother, Kimberlee.
Harry was raised in Little Falls, NY and was a proud graduate of the Little Falls High School, “Class of 1988”, where he received the title, Class Clown - a trait he carried with him long after high school and beyond Little Falls. Harry was a character with a laugh all his own! More importantly, he had the gift of positivity. Even in the worst situations, Harry could see the good - and the humor. When he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at a young age, he didn’t let the disease define him. Instead, he chose to face it with courage and bravery. He maintained his Class Clown title right up until the end, never complaining a bit about his health.
Harry’s life-long passion was music. He loved every metal band there was, knew every song imaginable and was likely an original member of the Kiss Army. Harry was lucky and talented enough to make music his career. In addition to working as a disc jockey for various rock stations in the Mohawk Valley and also in Orlando, FL, he was the co-manager of Mr. C’s Music Shop in Herkimer for 17 years where he loved interacting with the customers and helping fans score their favorite concert tickets. But above music, Harry was a proud and dedicated father to his two children. He was the happiest when he was with them and held an individual bond with each of them. Throughout his life, Harry’s infectious smile, outgoing personality and vivacious laugh made him the perfect friend to many. He was genuine, compassionate and lived life fully.
In addition to his children & parents, Harry is survived by his brothers (each of whom he loved very much), Kevin E. Enea (Kristy) of Frankfort, NY, Andrew M. Enea (Darcie) of E. Falmouth, MA and Daniel J. Enea of Little Falls, NY. He is also survived by his nieces, Claire, Hannah, Jenna and Norah, and Sadie, Charlotte and Hazel Enea; many aunts, uncles, cousins and step sister. Harry also leaves a host of wonderful friends, too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his cherished paternal grandparents, Lucy and Harry J. Enea and his maternal grandparents, Grace and Edward Holleran and by his nephew, Charlie Enea.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to say goodbye to Harry at calling hours which will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville from 3-7 pm. A CALLING HOUR WILL ALSO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10TH AT 12 PM AT THE ENEA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 24 W. MONROE ST., LITTLE FALLS FOLLOWED BY A 1 PM FUNERAL HOME SERVICE WITH THE REV. PATRICIA LAWRENCE, OFFICIATING. Procession will follow to Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls, where he will be laid to rest.
Please omit floral offerings and consider donations to a memorial fund to be established in Harry’s name which will be used to benefit a cause close to his heart. We will celebrate Harry’s life at Rock Valley Brewery in Little Falls where we will have a live band playing his favorite tunes following the services on Saturday, at 2 pm. Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance Another heartache, another failed romance, on and on Does anybody know what we are living for? I guess I'm learning I must be warmer now I'll soon be turning, round the corner now Outside the dawn is breaking But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free The show must go on The show must go on Inside my heart is breaking My makeup may be flaking But my smile, still, stays on -Queen, The Show Must Go On

Departed: 04/05/2023 (Ilion)
Obituary Preview: FRANKFORT - Patrick Michael DeRocco, 47, of Frankfort, passed away at home unexpectedly, on April 5, 2023. He is now reunited with his father, Joseph DeRocco, whom he felt incomplete without.
Patrick was born on March 17, 1976, to Regina (McCann) DeRocco-Osley and Joseph DeRocco, in Ilion, NY. Patrick was a native of Frankfort, graduating with the Frankfort-Schuyler Class of 1995, a class with strong bonds and lifelong family-like friendships. Patrick was so proud to have returned to his hometown to raise his girls in the community he loved the most.
Patrick married Sarra Hale, on July 24, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, in Utica, NY. It was through this union of love that their beautiful daughters came to be. There was no doubt that Patrick’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was incredibly proud of his girls and would do anything for them. He often joked “I’m surrounded by women.” Truth was, he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Patrick enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to the ocean. It was his happy place. He was a lifelong, diehard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Yankees. He loved to hang out in his garage with his dogs and always welcomed friends to join, so long as they didn’t move anything!
Patrick’s love for all family ran deep, especially his Mom. He made sure to spend time with her during days off. He always put others ahead of himself and would do anything for those he loved without hesitation. He was extremely prideful and the last one to ever ask for help.
Patrick had a way to make people laugh and feel loved. Everyone who knew Pat enjoyed his company. As a child he was a gifted athlete and as an adult he was so proud of the girls’ AYSO teams he coached in Frankfort.
Patrick was currently employed at the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer. He earned tremendous respect in this position from co-workers, inmates, professionals that visited and the families. He treated everyone with the same respect and dignity. His co-workers knew they could always count on him to help out or just make them laugh. Through his position he developed many friendships. Patrick had previously been employed by Remington Arms, Walmart Distribution Center and The House of the Good Shepherd. He developed friendships wherever he worked and always made work more enjoyable.
Surviving are his wife, Sarra; his two beloved daughters, Hannah and Hailey; his three dogs, Pepper, Milo and Nova, at home; his mother, Regina DeRocco-Osley and stepfather Steve Osley, of Mohawk; one Brother, Jason, of Maryland and his children, Joselyn (Patrick’s Goddaughter), Joseph “Joey”, Jaylene and Johnny; his in-laws, Philip and Linda Hale, of New Hartford; many aunts, uncles and cousins, including Sara Billman, whom he referred to as the sister he never had. Patrick had numerous brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews that he was proud to call family.
Patrick was blessed to have friendships that lasted throughout his life, Jonathan Penree, Joseph Aiello, Rick Palumbo, Scott Grates, Bert Doolen, Heather Hanford and Kristy Nole who were just a few of the FSCS Class of 1995 that became lifelong friends and family.
Patrick was predeceased by his Father, Joseph DeRocco; his grandparents, John and Anne McCann and Grace DeRocco; and a special uncle, Craig Gilker.

It may also include information about their surviving family members, funeral or memorial services, and any charitable donations in their memory.

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries serve as a way to inform friends, family, and community members of a person's passing, allowing them to pay their respects and offer condolences. They also provide a permanent record of the person's life and legacy.

The responsibility of writing an obituary often falls on the family members or close friends of the deceased. Funeral homes or crematories may also assist in writing and publishing the obituary.

What information should be included in an obituary?

A typical obituary includes the person's full name, age, date of birth and death, place of residence, occupation, education, military service, hobbies, and surviving family members. It may also include information about funeral or memorial services, burial arrangements, and charitable donations.

How long should an obituary be?

The length of an obituary can vary depending on the publication and the family's preferences. Generally, it should be concise and to the point, ranging from a few sentences to a short paragraph.

Can I include photos in an obituary?
