Obituary Preview: Albert Vincent Eisenhauer- age 91, passed away on March 14, 2024, at Pioneer Golden Estates. Al was born on November 28, 1932, in Farwell, to parents Joseph and Grethel (McPhall) Eisenhauer. Al lived a life of community service and was immensely proud of his involvement with many service organizations. He served with the Farwell Fire Department, School Board and as Township Supervisor, also as President and V.P. of the Farwell Centennial Celebration. He served with honor as a Mason, Shriner, White Shrine, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Consistory, York Rite College, Knight of the York Rite, Cross of Honor, and York Rite Commandry. He also served as past officer with each Lodge and as President of Young Men’s Service Club of Farwell. Albert worked as a Supervisor and Retired from Dow in Midland. Albert is survived by his children; Marilyn (Gary Earnest) Eisenhauer of Sears, Ricky (Joan) Eisenhauer of Alto, Dennis Eisenhauer of Farwell, Carolyn (Jim McLachlan) Vining of Evart, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; his brother Gordon (Jenny) Eisenhauer of Mt. Pleasant, and his sister Janet Powers of Ohio. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan McLachlan, and brothers Richard and James Eisenhauer. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, at 11AM at the Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Farwell. Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 18th, 2024, from 2PM until 8PM. A Masonic Funeral Rites Service will be provided at 6PM. Albert will be laid to rest in Surrey Township Cemetery. Obituary Preview: Larry Joseph Cotter, 78, of Weidman, passed away Friday March 8th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Larry was born at Central Michigan Community hospital in Mount Pleasant Michigan on May 20th, 1945. He married the love of his life, Karolyn, on March 22nd, 1969; together they had three children, and celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage. Larry made a career working in the Agricultural industry; he worked at the Shepherd Elevator for 30 years but later retired from McDonald Farms after hauling milk and grains for many years. Larry was a kind, caring, and personable father / grandpa / friend. He was always full of life, and can be remembered to always be joking, laughing, and smiling. He loved dancing, enjoyed music, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Karolyn Kay Cotter (Shear) of Weidman; one son, Larry (Paula) Cotter II of Rosebush; two daughters Terri (Mike) Banaszak of Mount Pleasant; Traci (Dathan) Murray of Lakeview; Six Grand Children, Megan Yonke, Mandy, Josh, and Jamie Block, Mikaela Bell, & Courtney Loomis; Siblings, Ron Cotter of Weidman, Jack Cotter of Harrison, Mary Kay (Arnnie) Price of Mt. Pleasant, Tom (Laura) Cotter of Sparta; and several other great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Eileen Cotter, and siblings Shirlene Gepford, and Jim Cotter. Lois Joan Manville - May 25, 1930 - February 15, 2024

Obituary Preview: Our Mom, Lois Joan (nee Fettig) Manville, 93, was reunited with her beloved husband in Heaven in the early morning of February 15, 2024 and will be missed by all whom knew and loved her.
Mom was born the second of five children to Louis and Edna (nee Dashner) Fettig in Petoskey, MI on May 25, 1930 and attended St. Francis Catholic and Petoskey Public Schools before graduating in 1952 as a registered nurse. After graduation, Mom married our Father and began an amazing life with five children and a career as a surgical nurse. Unfortunately, this life was changed forever when our Father died in 1967. Mom channeled her immense inner strength and strong Christian faith to raise her children with love, guidance and undying devotion.
After raising her children, Mom started a secretarial business in our home town of Harbor Springs and, for many years, enjoyed her involvement with local associations and community members as well as many hobbies including reading, knitting/crocheting and writing poetry.
The last four years of her life were spent in Lake, MI with her son Richard (Christine) Manville where the love, support and happiness that she was showered with were obvious to all. Her final gift to her children was a book she wrote entitled From Shattered Glass to Sparkling Diamonds that we will cherish forever.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer Duane Manville, son Robert Louis Manville and her four siblings. She is survived by her four children Richard (Christine) Manville of Lake, MI, Gary (Mary) Manville of Bellaire, MI, Kalyd (Jamie) Manville of Farmington Hills, MI and Connie (John) Kindley of Wolverine, MI; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A small family service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell, MI on Friday, February 23rd. Please visit their website at www.Campbell-fh.com to share your memories. A celebration of life graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Petoskey, MI. The family asks that any donations be made in Mom’s memory to the MyMichigan Hospice in Clare, MI for their amazing support and services. We also encourage those fortunate enough to still have their Moms to visit her as often as possible, cherish your time together to make memories and always shower them with the love they deserve.

Obituary Preview: Dorothy Jean Hoberek (Mullen), age 75, passed away peacefully February 3, 2024 of natural causes. She was born October 17, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to James and Dorothy Mullen. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert George Hoberek, in 2008.
Dorothy loved cookbooks, Elvis, Kenny G, and Facebook games. She was constantly creating new canvas sets and fiddling her fingers away while crocheting new crafts. Dorothy was a homemaker that loved her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite times were during holiday dinners as she wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by the people, she loved the most.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Catholic. Dorothy is survived by her brother and wife James and Clara Mullen, sister Diana Chmielewski (widowed); her three children and their partners Dottie and Mark Hoberek, Samantha and David Chatfield, Robert Hunt and Brittany Hadanek; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
We will be celebrating Dorothy’s life in a private setting on Thursday February 8th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Royal Cemetery. The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.

Obituary Preview: Danielle Joyce Slanker- Our Queen, Tootie, Little momma, went to tend the gardens in heaven on January 26, 2024. She lived in Farwell with her husband Darrel Slanker. They married on June 14, 1980. He was the love of her life, and the absolute best bonus Dad to her children. He was so devoted to her when her health began to decline. Danielle loved to garden. Gardening was her happy place; out playing in the dirt. Her yard was beautiful. She loved MSU sports. If there was a football or basketball game on, you knew she would be cheering them on. She was a proud alumnus of Haslett High School and maintained friendships from her time there. She loved the beautiful homes that Darrel built for them. She had an amazing eye for design. Her home was as beautiful inside as it was outside. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She always wanted to know what her family members were up to. She adored her grandchildren and great grandbaby. She lit up when they walked into the room. Her passing has left a huge void in our lives, but we all know she will be watching over us from her garden in heaven. Danielle was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Tim Longpre and Bobby Ridenour. She is survived by her husband Darrel Slanker, her children; Melinda Sue (Jim) Lard, Kris (Wendy) Ridenour, Kerrie (Russell) Lang, Kurt Ridenour, Dawn (David) Faverman, grandchildren; Chelsea (Zachary Madejek, Justin Lard, Josh Crampton, great-grandchild Myla Madejek, sister and brothers; Pat (Ron) Smith, Carol Ridenour, Dick (Eileen) Ridenour, Terry (Sue) Longpre and DeeDee Van Douser. Danielle’s family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the amazing help and comfort they provided, particularly her nurse Denise and aid Nikki. They were beside us all the way. He proudly served with the United States Marine Corp from 1953 until 1956 a small arms proof technician. He earned a Korean Service Medal as well as a United Nations Medal. He enjoyed BBQing, hunting, fishing, farming, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife Betty, sons ; Rex Phenix (Kim) of Mt. Pleasant, Stewart Phenix of FL. Wendell N. Phenix (Barbara) of Big Sandy, TX, Robert (Shirley) Phenix of TX., step-daughters; Darcey Palermo, Karla Schrauben, Patricia Hines of TX, Nichole Gibbons of Mt. Pleasant, Dale Zimmerman, Debbie Shaw, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister Enid Schafer of Weidman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Barbara Phenix. She is survived by her husband John, children John and wife Faith of Farwell, Kristie Hanna and husband Chad of Lake, grandchildren, Tommy, Avery, Hayden, Taylor, Seth, Zane, and Grace, sister Becky Johnson and husband Fred of Sheppard, and sister-in-law Marilyn Bower and husband Don of Farwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Eichhorn, and daughter Rachel Ackerman. Vickie was born with Downs Syndrome in Highland Park MI and has resided with her parents since birth. Vickie grew up in Berkley MI before moving with her parents to the Farwell area in Clare County MI, in 1986, where they have resided since. Vickie worked at MMI in both Mt Pleasant and Clare branches. She loved earning money for Pepsi and McDonalds! She loved kittens/cats; her Barbies; her baby doll Vicky Ann; Disney Movies; any Black and White films; Gilligan's Island; Scooby Doo; The 3 Stooges;
Three and a half Men (❤️ Charlie and would laugh); any of the older cowboy films; and Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Vickie is survived by her father H. Vernon Kirby; siblings: Teresa Mackie (Ruth Fretz).Cheryl (Patrick) Hoffmann; Robert (Bobby) Kirby; Brenda (George) Dietz, 12 nieces and nephews; Nicole, Danielle, Jason, Amy, Michelle, Katie, Jackie, Bryan, Jessica, Taylor, Jamie, Mitchell, twenty great nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Donna was born on March 4th, 1932, to parents Vernie B. and Bernice I. Austin Hose in Lake City, Michigan. She was married on June 16th, 1950, to Gerald Ray Rodabaugh in Alma, Michigan. Together they raised three children. Donna worked for 25 years at Farwell Middle School as a Secretary. She liked to knit, crochet, music, and loved being involved in as many things as possible. She is survived by her son Richard of Farwell, daughter Debra Smith of Valrico, Florida, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a brother Pastor Terry Hose and wife Maxine and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald “Bud” in 2018, daughter Kathryn Jones and husband Bruce Jones, son in law William Smith, brother Richard Hose, sisters; Elaine Loomis, and husband Alvin, and Bethia Wood, A funeral service is planned for Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at 1PM at the Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Farwell. Lawrence was born on December 17th, 1958, to parents Herbert Lee and Diane (Verty) Green in Detroit, Michigan. Larry grew up here in Clare County, moved downstate to Detroit and then back here again 25 years ago. Larry was a workaholic and great provider for his family. He loved his play time enjoying fishing, hunting, playing cards, football and Superbowl parties, baseball, hockey, and Nascar. Larry died doing what he loved. He is survived by his lifelong companion Nancy Stark, and her children; Dennis Stark, Jennifer Stark (Eugene Williams), Amelia Harmon, grandchildren Damion, Siera, Elizabeth, Liam, Myah, brothers; Darryl Green and wife Kay, and Robert Green and wife Lacey. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Green and sister Glenda Green. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Larry’s life is planned for Monday, November 27th from 11AM until 1PM at the Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Farwell.

Obituary Preview: Doris Marie Vanbuskirk (Melinowski) - age 75, of Weidman, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 6, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. She was born January 22, 1948, in Weidman, MI.
Family was everything to Doris. She lived on the property of her childhood home where she was born in Weidman. Doris had a zest for life and radiated joy onto others. Doris greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and laughter followed her everywhere she went. Doris took pride in caring for the love of her life, Larry. Last year, the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They loved spending the winter months in Florida, which Doris referred to as her happy place. She traveled there in the fall each year to be reunited with many of her lifelong friends. In the summer months, the couple would escape to their remote property in the Upper Peninsula and enjoy fishing trips in Canada with their loved ones. Together they owned and operated Van's Party & Grocery Store in Gilmore Township for nearly 20 years. Doris loved cooking, canning, music, crafting, art, and thrifting. She was always game for an adventure and never declined going on a spontaneous trip with her daughter Sheila.
She is remembered and loved by her husband, Larry VanBuskirk; daughter Sheila Buccilli of Clare; son, James Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Kathy Munn of Clare; Marty Melinowski; Christine Hunt; stepson, Larry and (Julie) VanBuskirk Jr. of Coldwater; stepdaughter, Catherine (Norm Thompson) VanBuskirk of Bronson; several grandchildren, Chris and Jessica Buccilli of Perry; Andrew and Julie Buccilli of Atlanta, GA; David and Ray Mao-Buccilli of California; Daniel Buccilli and David Custer of Fenton; Amie and Ed Hawley of Freeland; Michael Buccilli of Mt. Pleasant; Isaac and Yisel Andy (great grandchild Ariel) of Washington; Benjamin Andy of Washington; Elizabeth VanBuskirk of Mount Pleasant; William and Brandy Ryder of St. John’s; Angela and Jeremy Provatas of Remus; Caroline and Eric Allen of Edmore; and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret Melinowski; in-laws, Percy and Elsie VanBuskirk; siblings, Ralph Melinowski; Theodore Melinowskin; sons, Keith J. Reynolds; Kevin Reynolds; daughter, Jennifer M. VanBuskirk and her newborn Ethan Z. Andy; stepdaughter, Angela K. VanBuskirk Ryder; and son-in-law, Michael J. Buccilli.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Campbell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Farwell, MI. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am, Saturday, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gilmore Township Cemetery. Obituary Preview: Carrie Rose Owens- age 63 of Farwell Michigan passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023, at North Woods Nursing Center in Farwell. Carrie was born on November 3, 1959, in Midland Michigan, the daughter of Russell Clyde and Lovana Jeanne Yates Owens of Coleman. Carrie had previously worked at McDonalds and for many years had cared for many at the Gateway Apartments in Clare. Carrie loved doing things for the people around her. She loved arranging trips for many folks at the Gateway Apartments such as trips to Comerica Park to see the Detroit Tigers for games and planning things for them to enjoy. She was a lifetime member of the Pettit Kapplinger Post # 5738 Clare VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Colonville Bible Church. She enjoyed helping in the kitchen at her church during Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed watching the excitement of the children as they came in. She celebrated her birthday every year with her friends, Kathy Kistler and Maxine Lago, who have birthdays close to hers. Carrie is survived by her sister, Mary Ann (Patrick) Findling of Lake Orion, nieces Julia (Jon) Pillen of Las Vegas, and Alaina Findling of Lake Orion. Left to cherish her memory are” Sis” Aubree Brenman, Shellie Kelley, Cheyenne Brannan, adopted grandchildren, JB (Jordan) & Tyler, Larry Stoneham, Bud Waite, Kathy and Rick Bertoncin, her dear friend Arlene Podgorny, Julie Hostetler, Carol Forkum, many mor friend and Church family. She is also survived by her canine companion and best friend Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and dear friends Merry Christmas and Kathleen Anderson. A Celebration of Life Service for Carrie is planned for Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home in Farwell. Jon Trerice will officiate. She worked outside her home and loved sewing, jigsaw puzzles and most of all loved catering parties and various events for friends and family. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Robert Byard and wife Tracy of Lake, Kathy Lorenzen of Lake, Dawn Golden of Alabama, Sherry Hayden, and husband Harold of Arkansas, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, six nieces and four nephews. Honoring Marjorie’s wishes a cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest in Mosherville Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Campbell Funeral Home, 408 W.
