Yalonda Rene Barnes - May 02, 1962 - February 22, 2024

Departed: 02/22/2024 (Highland)
Obituary Preview: Yalonda Rene Barnes was born May 2, 1962, in Longview, Texas.
After just living in White Oak, Texas for only 3 years, she and her family moved to Chinle, AZ on a Navajo Indian Reservation from 1966-1969 at the age of 4. This is where she became the "little mama" always wanting to take care of her baby brother. After 3 short years on the reservation, Yalonda and her family moved to a small desert community named Eagle Mountain, California. Eagle Mountain is where Yalonda had her formable years in life. Yalonda lived with intense headaches throughout her life, but that didn't stop this determined young mind from achieving a nearly perfect record of all A's throughout her high school time (she amassed 1-B one grading period which prevented her from having a perfect high school time).
Yalonda dedicated her life to her God, Jehovah through water baptism on January 26, 1980, 5 months before graduating high school in June of 1980. After graduating high school, she moved to Rialto, CA and attended Skadron business college where she earned an associate degree in accounting in 18 months.
She worked only a few jobs until stepping into the role as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for America West Airlines on October 15, 1985. Although serving as a flight attendant for only a couple years, she decided to return to the CSR position for the remainder of her career. Through acquisitions, America West Airlines became American Airlines. Here, Yalonda spent the remainder of her career serving customers to the best of her ability. Even while on disability from a recent surgery, Yalonda was looking forward to getting back to work to finish her 41-year career with the Airlines and had planned to retire this summer.
The friendships she built throughout her career are a number that can't be counted. Although never married, she loved to travel with friends and family, and it can be said that she was a true "globe trotter". You name a place, and she probably touched down there.
Words cannot be expressed to say how we all already miss her dearly as she had an impact on each and every one of us.
Yalonda departed from us on February 22, 2024, at the age of 61. She leaves behind her dear father Gene Barnes age 90 from White Oak, TX, her loving mother Lola Barnes age 86 from White Oak Texas, her ever caring brother Darrell Barnes age 63 from Ontario, CA, her always concerned brother Ronnie Martin Barnes age 63 from Milwaukee, WI, her beloved brother Nathan Barnes age 57 from Mansfield, TX along with her cherished nephews Jaeden and Jaxon and his wife Samantha and her son Jonah and her caring sister Kelly Barnes Peden age 31 from Gilmer, TX along with her husband Grant and sweet nephews Ethan and Ezekiel.
She will always be remembered by her Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at Padua Hills, Montclair, CA, her loving American Airlines family of nearly 41 years at Ontario International Airport, her loving neighborhood neighbors and her dear friends from New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Chicago, Michigan, California, Texas, and more places not named.

Peter Francis Feenan - July 19, 1976 - February 07, 2024

Departed: 02/07/2024 (Highland)
Obituary Preview: Peter Francis Feenan Jr July 19, 1976 - February 7, 2024 Peter Francis Feenan, age 47, of Henderson, NV, was born into this world on the July 19, 1976, at Silas B. Hays Army Hospital, Fort Ord, California. He unexpectantly passed away on February 7, 2024, surrounded by his family and leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service, and affection. Peter was always willing to help anyone out, to include a stranger in line at a store who needed help moving a couch from the second story apartment and no elevators. Peter walked through life with a humble heart, a servant to all, embodying the virtues of compassion and boundless charity. Those who have had the pleasure of meeting Peter have commented that his big smile was genuine and infectious!
As a young child Peter loved being outdoors riding bikes and skateboards, playing baseball and basketball, scouts, and church. Peter was a huge Michael Jackson fan and would request favorite songs of his every Friday night for roller skating at the Ft. Huachuca Community Center. He made friends easily and always tried to stay in touch with them in spite of our numerous “opportunities to see the world” compliments of the U.S. Army. Peter accepted the Jesus into his life when he was eight years old and was baptized at 12 years old at Sierra Vista Lutheran Church.
Peter was active in High School playing basketball, football, and baseball. He worked all throughout High School at Pep Boys to support his passion of keeping his green Volkswagen Bug running and making sure his stereo was top-of-the-line (that he could afford) so he and his friends could play loud music while they cruised down Fry Blvd. He graduated from Buena High School in 1994 prior to joining the United States Army in 1996. He continued his education throughout his career, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in 2016.
A man who served his country with pride, Peter dedicated eight years of his life to the United States Army as a Military Police Officer before continuing his vocation of safeguarding the public as a Department of Defense Police Officer in Sierra Vista, Arizona; Albany, New York; and Phoenix, Arizona, for an admirable 14 years, and rounded out the last seven years of his career as a Special Agent for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Peter leaves behind a grieving family who will cherish his memory: fiancé, Jennifer Viola, parents, Peter and Peggy Feenan, sister Heather Burdett, brother-in-law Erik Burdett, nieces Aliaja Bothwell and Isabella Burdett, daughter, Kailie Mallett, grandfather Thomas Schenkel, many special aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and colleagues. The void left by his departure is shared by those who preceded him in death: his grandparents Marla and Robert Sotelo, James and Mary Feenan, and Uncle Daniel Martin. Peter's reverence for God's creation was evident in his love for the outdoors. He loved camping (not glamping), and sought the divine in the quiet of the fishing waters where he would sit or wade in the water for hours, not catching anything but a nibble. He looked forward to watching UFC fights and spending time texting back and forth with Heather all day during the fights. Peter and his parents were avid fans of the U of A basketball team and looked forward to attending the PAC 12 games at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to cheer on the Wildcats. Peter and his fiancé Jennifer took pleasure in cooking together almost every Friday night, playing dominoes and making bonfires, working out, doing home projects and cherishing every moment they had together. They took an active interest in gardening, experimenting with tomatoes, basil (they made a fantastic homemade basil pesto sauce!), and many other herbs and vegetables. They were engaged at sunset on the Hale Koa beach in Hawaii in October while on a family vacation and looked forward to tying the knot this year. He also enjoyed the adventure of riding motorcycles, off-roading in his jeep, working out at the gym, being the “Commish” for the family Fantasy Football League, listening to country and hip-hop music, golfing and going to the gun range with family and friends. Peter had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved April Fool’s Day and truly enjoyed planning his next April Fool’s jokes!
Most of all, Peter treasured spending time with his family and friends, and loved them deeply. His zest for life and his favorite pastimes brought joy and camaraderie to those around him and he will be dearly missed.

Departed: 07/10/2023 (Highland)
Obituary Preview: Pamela (Pam) Dorlene Emerine-Biccum, 66, passed away peacefully in Big Bear, California on July 10, 2023, as her family sang her through the gates of Heaven after an almost two year fight with Pancreatic cancer.
Pam is survived by her husband Scott of Oceanside; children: Rachel (Michael) Hicks, Sarah (Benjamin) Carr, Rebekah (Matthew) Nolen, Micah (Rebecca) Emerine, Amber Perryman, Aaron Biccum, Sarah Biccum, Achlee (Christian) Rodarmel; multiple grandchildren; mother Betty Sullivan; siblings: Dennis (Kathi) Sullivan, James (Lori) Sullivan, Sheryl (Todd) Nadeau; and many other family members.
Pam was preceded in death by her father-in-law Ken Biccum, stepson Alec Biccum, her mother-in-law Dolores Evelyn Emerine, her father Robert Sullivan, her father-in-law Dr. Ollie Emerine, and her first husband Dr. Richard Emerine.
Pam was born on June 30, 1957, in Danville, Illinois to the parents of Robert and Betty Sullivan. Upon graduation in 1975 from El Cajon Valley High School, Pam attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, OR, where she participated in the musical group Pilgrimage. She graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and Educational Ministry. During one of her college Christmas visits home to Lemoore, CA, she met and fell in love with Richard (Ritchie) Emerine. Upon graduation from college, Pam and Ritchie were married on June 12, 1982, in Lemoore. They had 4 children together. Having a military husband, Pam moved a lot: California, Florida, Guam, and Washington to name a few.
Upon Ritchie’s untimely death on December 13, 2000, Pam invested her time in her family, church group, and her preschool co-workers and students. Pam’s passion for early childhood was evident in her nearly 40 years as a Preschool Teacher, including 25 years at Tri-City Christian School in Vista, California. In 2002, she fought breast cancer and won that battle. In 2004, Pam met Scott Biccum and wondered if love had given her a second chance at happily ever after. They were married at Oceanside Harbor on July 19, 2009, to the approval of family and friends.
Pam could often be found worshiping in church on Sundays, working with preschool age children, baking in the kitchen, sewing clothes for her grandkids, making memories on vacations with her family, checking in and catching up with friends, and singing and voice acting her way through life. She was known as “Party Pam,” a term coined for her zest for life, taking each challenge head on with gusto, and creating epic parties such as: high tea, Kentucky Derby, caroling, and birthday sleepovers complete with monkey bread. Pam remembered to give God the glory through life’s ups and downs, so although she is missed here on Earth, we know she is partying it up in Heaven.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the many family, friends, doctors, and nurses that helped care for Pam these past two years. Your care reminded her of God’s hand in the situation and allowed her to run her race and fight her fight with everything she had until God called her home (2 Timothy 4:7). Please join the family for Pam’s Celebration of Life on August 26th at 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel Oceanside. A reception at the church will follow. Address: 3715 Oceanic Way, Oceanside, CA 92056.
