John worked in the cleaning department for the Niagara Falls City School district for over 30 years, until his retirement. He was also a lifelong member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, now Divine Mercy Parish, where he attended mass every week.
He is survived by his siblings, David (Claudine) Lachowski and Carolyn (Daniel) Leudanski; nieces & nephews, Lauren, Daniel, Lori, and Kelsey.
Friends may call Saturday, June 1st from 9 AM-11AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where a Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Phillip enjoyed riding and building motorcycles, but his true passion was hunting and fishing. He was also a football & baseball coach for various leagues in Niagara Falls, NY for many years.
He is survived by his children, Gemma Butry, Joshua Butry, and Jimmy Scaringi; grandchildren, Vienna, and Vincenzo; brothers, David (Cathy) Butry and Francis "Frank" Butry and dog, Bruno. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John Butry.

Obituary Preview: Robert F. Rydzewski Jr., 97, of Niagara Falls, NY and formerly of Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 26, 1927 he was the son of the late Robert and Louise (Kozdranski) Rydzewski Sr.
Robert worked as an Industrial Painter for 27 years at Kimberly Clark and then for 15 years at Harrison Radiator, until his retirement. He was a musician, who could be found playing his accordion at various places around Niagara Falls through the years. Robert was also an umpire and championship winning baseball coach with the Babe Ruth league and was also a member of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his children, Joseph (Susan) Rydzewski, Timothy (fiancée Kathy) Rydzewski, Roberta (Brian) Stalteri and Theresa (Mark) Revitzer; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and daughter in-law, Carol Rydzewski. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Theresa V. (Kulak) Rydzewski; son, Michael Rydzewski USMC; daughter, Claudia Gorzka; brother, Richard (Cecelia) Rydzewski, and sister, Florence (Chester) Kozen.

He was the son of the late Dorothy Oswald and late James Sisler; the beloved father of Shannon, Daniel, Sheena, Dottie (Aaron) and Shelby (Zack); the loving grandfather to David, Carmella, Skyler, Callie, Aurora, Brandon, Sammy, Olivia, Silas, and Juliet. As an only child, he had chosen brothers; Steve Lounsbury, Jeff (Linda) Sisler, John Wilson, and John Harbeson.
He was also known as Uncle Kyle to many loved nieces and nephews and maintained a loving lifelong friendship with the mother of his children, Dawn Townsend (Paul), which was pivotal in his beautifully blended family.
From age 16, he worked for the City of Niagara Falls, Department of Public Works and retired in 2021. He had a great love for classic cars ('67 Shelby Cobra Mustang) and motorcycles (Harley Davidson, Knucklehead); he would want us to be specific. He was best known for being the last to arrive and an "Irish goodbye." He was a homebody who preferred the company of his best fur-girl, Miss. Coco Chanel. He was both fiery and kind, a great father, and an even better grandfather. He was a provider, a comfort, and a home to his kids; he will be immeasurably missed. We love you, Dad. Rest in Peace

Stanley proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corp in July 1967 to May 1973. His decorations include Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with dev and Rifle Marksman badge. Followed by two years in the Army Reserves.
Stanley was a member of the UAW Veteran Region 9 Local 686 branch, lifetime member of Marine Corps League and lifetime member of Conrad F. Kania Det. Tonawanda, NY.
Stanley grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, he attended Trott Vocational High School where he majored in Welding. He worked until retirement at Delphi Harrison Radiator (GM). He was known for his generosity, kindness and loving nature. Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley’s, traveling to Daytona for bike week, working on antique cars, tinkering in the garage (jack of all trades), enjoyed reading magazines, meeting his friends for coffee, enjoyed eating lobster, having pig roasts, loved telling a good joke and most of all loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline (Zelinsky) Jenczewski, his children, Kimberly (Jenczewski) Pawlowski, Jeffery (Antolene) Jenczewski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert (Maryann) Jenczewski and Gerald Jenczewski.
A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held at a later date to be determined by his family.

Obituary Preview: Lawrence “Larry” Alfred Grabka, 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina, died unexpectedly on March 27, 2024. He is survived by his two children, two grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and cousins. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.
Larry grew up in Niagara Falls, New York, where he attended high school and excelled at bowling. He went on to bowl professionally before moving to New Jersey and raising a family. Larry lived life to the fullest, smiling, laughing, or cracking a joke, even at his own expense. He was full of joy, kind hearted, and always willing to lend his time or a helping hand to those he cared for.
Larry will be profoundly missed by his surviving family and abundance of friends. There are no events planned as Larry did not wish to have services but ask that you celebrate him in your own manner. Andrew entered the United States Navy on December 14, 1965, serving during the Vietnam War. For his service of he received the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Navy Unit Commendation. He was honorably discharged as a E03 on September 29, 1969.
Andrew worked for the Occidental Chemical Corp. until retiring after 30 years of working there. He was a member of The Chapel on 66th street in NF, NY, where enjoyed attending and the company of his fellow members. Andrew also loved going to the beach to watch the sunsets, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. (Mitravich) West; daughters, April (Kingsley) Chandler and Andrea West; sons, Harley D. Glenn, Eric Lambert, and Dashawn J. West; grandchildren, Kingsley, Kayle, Coryn, Christopher, Kendall, Colin, Cara, Chase, Harley, Cayden, Katherine, and Cole; great-grandson, Gabe. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert West.

After high school, Kathy entered the convent, where she continued her studies. She received a BS in education from Medaille College and a Master's degree in education from the University of Buffalo.
As Sister John Vianney with the Sisters of St. Joseph, she taught elementary grades in Buffalo parochial schools for 15 years.
After leaving the convent, Kathy became a reading specialist in Cheektowaga middle, junior & senior high schools. When her father passed away, she transferred to the Niagara Falls School district. She was a Merit Program teacher at Harry F. Abate Elementary School. Kathy retired in 1998 and became the sole caregiver for her mother who passed away in 2011 at the age of 97. Friends are invited to Katherine's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday February 22nd 10:00AM at St. Raphaels RC Church, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14305, with Rev. Daniel Young officiating.
