Obituary Preview: Charles “Charlie” Kenneth Burgess was born May 31, 1942 in Provo Utah to Charles LaVerne Burgess and Cora Durfey. He attended Brigham High School where he participated in football, wrestling, choir, band, debate, and drama club. After graduation he spent 2 years in the Navy serving his country (1960
1962). After returning, he then went on to serve a 2 year mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Southern States mission area. Charles then started his first career as a Correctional Officer for the state of California for the next 10 years before getting into his second career as a Hearing Aid Specialist. This career spanned the next 30 years and ultimately brought him to Yuma Arizona in 2001, where he opened his own business called Burgess Hearing Aids that he later retired from (2008) and left to his step-son to run.
Charles is proceeded in death by his father Charles L. Burgess and his grandson Bradley. He is survived by his mother Cora Burgess, brother Cal Burgess, and sister Carolyn Powers. He has 5 children with his first wife of 21 years (Delva) and 3 step-children with his current wife of 26 years Barbara. He has a total of 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Charles will be remembered for his kind heart and the love that he shared with his friends and family. Charles had a strong passion for sharing his love for his Heavenly Father and enjoyed sharing the gospel to anyone who would listen. He loved to serve in his church as often as possible until he was no longer able to attend church in person.
We will be holding a celebration of life in both Utah and Florida with his family at later dates.

Obituary Preview: Carlos Javier Silva, USMC. went to be with his Creator April 15, 2022, (Good Friday). He was Born September 29, 1954 to Carlos and Eva Silva in Bisbee, Arizona. Carlos attended Bisbee High School, Bisbee, Arizona and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, (MOS) 7051, Aircraft Firefighter/Rescue Specialist /American Embassy Guard, Saigon, Viet-Nam, Cuba, and North Korea, his last duty station was MCAS, Yuma, Arizona. Carlos attended Cochise College, Douglas, Arizona, North Carolina Community College Arizona Western College, and Northern State University, attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree. Carlos went on to dedicating his life to Fire and Rescue with YPG, Winterhaven Fire Department, Yuma Regional Medical Center Volunteer, Quechan Senior Center, Quechan Tribal Head Start Program Activities, Indian Days, Veterans Day, and many other tribal functions over the 24 years he resided on the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation. After many years he decided to change his pace of life moving to West Yellow Stone, Montana with the apple of his eye Honey Bunny (Patricia). He worked for the IMAX Theater as a Chief Projectionist. When they were fulfilled with the Northern Exposure, they returned back to Fort Yuma, enjoying the last 12 years of his life before he became ill. We will always remember him riding his Harley Davison Bike in the wind. We will always wonder how he persuaded his Honey Bunny to ride on the back of that Harley with a bandana, chaps and motorcycle boots. Carlos had many interest and hobbies never wanting to let life pass him up, as he was always ready to go travel to Vegas and sometimes just a road trip to nowhere and turn around, he loved Rock and Roll. Dancing, Reading, Fishing, Hunting, Camping, Astronomy, he loved star gazing, Snow Cones from the local Yuma snow cone truck on 16 th in Yuma. He had many passions in life. Our biggest kick out of him was when we would have a family gathering and he would hear the song (The Champs Tequila) he would jump up roll his socks down and dance. We would be laughing to no end and that carried all the way down to the Great Grand Children. He always had to be the life of the Party. Remaining to cherish Carlos’s memories are Patricia A. Lumas, (The Love of his Life for 38 yrs.) Michael Silva-Hyde, Son, Jocelyn Silva Rasmussen, Daughter, Stepchildren: Michele R. Eagleman, Stephanie Florez (Ernest), Phenella A Ruckoldt (Andrew), Ernest (Carmen) Lumas. Sisters: Sandi Florez, (David) Elva (Ignacio) Ballesteros, Brothers: Henry Silva, Gary Silva, Ringo Blyth, Robbie Blyth, Johnny Blyth, Joseph Blyth, Eva Valenzuela, Mother, Stepmother Vikki Silva. Uncles and Aunts: Olga Meza (Deceased), Ramon, (Cecilia) Holguin, Reynaldo (Deceased), (Lucy) Holguin, Elviria Loretto (Deceased), Gilbert, (Diane, Deceased) Holguin, Fernando, (Romelia) Holguin, Richard, (Sandra) Holguin, and Yolanda Verdugo.
