Obituary Preview: Samuel D. "Sam" Force, 61, of 150 N. Hunter Run Rd., Howard, PA, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lock Haven, PA on September 11, 1954 he was the son of the late Clarence W. Force, Sr. and Shirley (McGarvey) Force of Loganton. Sam was a graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton class of 1974. He was formerly employed by HRI in the construction business and was the owner and operator of Force's Auctioneer Service for the past 18 years. Sam enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and gardening.He also enjoyed attending and participating in auctions and was a fan of Farmall tractors. Along with his mother he is survived by his life partner Jeannie Goleman, two daughters Stephanie Force of Lock Haven and Monica Force of Loganton a son Matthew Force of Loganton, four brothers David Force of Spring Mills, PA, Daniel Force of Mill Hall, George Force of McElhattan and Mark Force of Loganton, three sisters Kathleen Force of Loganton, Connie Whren of York, PA and Amy Weaver of Loganton and one grandson Miguel Force. In addition to his father he was predeceased by a brother Clarence W. Force, Jr. and a sister Joann Lamey. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Loganton Wesleyan Church, 4972 Long Run Rd., Loganton, PA with Pastor Dan Reed and Mr. David Force officiating.A viewing will be held in the church TODAY from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. and also on Friday one hour prior to the service. Final Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rosecrans, PA. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, PA.
