Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 9:30 AM until 9:50 AM at Clifton Baptist Church in Forest, MS. Services will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Clifton Baptist Cemetery in Forest, MS. Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Kenny Lang will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mr. Reeves was born to John L Q Reeves and Pauline Harrell Reeves on May 17, 1939, in Scott County, MS. Mr. Reeves worked for Bienville National Forest for thirty-three years, St. Dominic Hospital for two years and drove a school bus for twelve years. He was an avid outdoorsman and farmer who enjoyed raising cattle, chickens, a garden and loved feeding his fish everyday. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and he truly loved every member of his family.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents, John L Q Reeves and Pauline Reeves; two brothers, D.C. and Duane Reeves; three sisters, Loraine Hocutt, Elaine Speed and Maxine Cash; three grandchildren, Joey Reeves, Wayne Shelby and John Taylor Reeves. He is Survived by his wife of Sixty-seven years, Dorothy Reeves of Clifton, MS; son, James Reeves (Peggy) of Clifton, MS; two daughters, Kay Hatch (Monte) of Pearl, MS and Janet Shelby (Harold) of Newton, MS; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Reeves, Spencer Karges, Nathaniel Reeves, Jared Reeves, Caleb Reeves and Garrett Reeves.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gage and Gavin Reeves.

Mitchell was born to Claude Edward Kirkpatrick and Virginia Pauline Jiles on October 19, 1958, in Newellton, LA. He was an Avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Mitchell enjoyed mowing lawns and vegetable gardening. He loved to cook, especially cakes that he would take to church. He was the caregiver for his mother in the final years of her life. Mitchell was the quiet type but he listened to others.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Virginia Kirkpatrick; sister, Debbie Derrick; Brother-In-Law, Mel Morse and a nephew, Allen David Morse. He is survived by his son, Jacob Chad Mitchell Fortenberry of Forest, MS; three sisters, Cindy Gaddis (Philip) of Katy, TX, Pauline Doyle (Alan) of Newellton, LA and Beth Morse of Pearl, MS; brother, Joe Kirkpatrick of Pulaski, MS; very special friend, Debbie Kirkpatrick; grandson, Grayson Cole and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Macedonia New Testament Cemetery in Forest, MS. Past Grand Master of the State of Mississippi Butch Britt will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mr. Robinson was born to Leo Robinson and Ida Maude Tucker Robinson on July 13, 1942, in Scott County, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Clifton, MS. Mr. Robinson was a Past Master of the Forest Masonic Lodge # 437. He was also a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion and Woodmen of the World. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force in Guam and Thailand as a helicopter mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ida Maude Robinson; two sisters, Mavis Thrash and Helen Alexander; two brothers, Joseph and Ben Robinson and a daughter, Mary Jo Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Doris Robinson of Forest, MS; two son, Joe Mixon (Cindy) of Lake, MS and Thomas Robinson (Carmen) of Forest, MS; daughter, Lona Foret (Tommy) of Brookhaven, MS; two sisters, Retha Chapel of Meridian, MS and Sue Fortenberry of Forest, MS; two brothers, Jackie Robinson of Mobile AL and Jimmy Robinson of Forest, MS; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

James was born to Jesse Lee and Jennive May Porter on November 5, 1955, in Morton, MS. He lived his entire life in the Morton area. James loved hunting, fishing and the rodeo. He was known as a good and honest man. James would not take place in gossip or talk bad about anyone who wasn’t there to defend themselves. He instilled his morals and values in his daughters. Most of all, James loved his wife.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Jennive Porter and brother, Buddy Porter. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Irma Jewel “Bunchie” Porter; daughters, Jennive Stovall (Kell) of Wagoner, OK, Jamie Porter (Milton Davis) of Morton, MS, and Jessica Ray (Chris) of Flowood, MS; sisters, Irene Boykin of Pelahatchie, MS, Lucy Harrell of Pelahatchie, MS and Phyllis Caldell of Morton, MS; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Peggie was born to Benjamin (Ben) Allen and Virginia Watkins Allen on July 27, 1931, in Jackson, MS. She was a bank clerk for Community Bank for over thirty-five years. Peggie was a homemaker. She loved God, Church, family and friends. Peggie also loved to sing songs for her family and friends. She had a wonderful memory of scripture and hymns.
Peggie is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Wallace; parents, Benjamin (Ben) Allen and Virginia Watkins Allen; two sisters, Lorraine Smith and Elaine Black and a brother, Wilbourn Allen. She is survived by her nieces, Bettye Magee (Ken) of Hammond, LA and Sandy Palmer (Doug) of Brandon, MS; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; two great-great-great nieces and foster grandchildren, Michael Irvin, Kristin Irvin Tate and Brian Irvin.

Ellen was born to Aaron Lacy Smith and Agnes Welbourne on October 24, 1941 in Shreveport, LA. She was a native of Rayville, LA. Ellen had lived in Pelahatchie, MS for the past thirty-two years. She was a member of the Explorer Bible Study, the church choir and she participated in the Ladies Night Out and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved flower gardening, watching birds at her bird feeder and was a member of the Chicken Foot Domino. Ellen worked at First Republic Bank in Rayville, LA for twenty years and then was a secretary at Precoat Metals for ten years. She also served as a part time clerk at Pelahatchie City Hall and was also a poll worker.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Lacy Smith and Agnes Smith and her first husband, Cecil William Vaughn. She is survived by her husband, John Ray Davis of Pelahatchie, MS; five children, Tonya Vaughn Bagbey (Richard) of Monroe, LA; Cindy Kelly (Patrick) of Morton, MS; Cecil “Skipper” William Vaughn, Jr. (Allison) of Maryville, LA; Randall “Randy” Aaron Vaughn (Lori) of Rayville, LA and John C. Davis (Aletha) of Morton, MS; sister, Judy Watson of Watson , LA; brother, James Smith of Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Grant Brook, Summer Cole, Lacy, Will, Taylor, Anna, Madeline, Ashton, Madison, McKenzie and Abby; twenty great grandchildren and two on the way.

Kimberly loved cutting horse, the beach, shopping and girl trips.

Stanley enjoyed looking at flowers growing in the yard. He liked to fish and watch wildlife. He spent a lot of his time working on cars and trucks when he was able.

Zelda was born to William Lonzo Atkinson and Janie Josephine Warren Atkinson on March 23, 1940, in Leesburg, MS. She loved her flowers, working in the yard, watching the birds and squirrels, sewing and reading. Zelda baby sat many children over the years and considered all of them to be her grandchildren.
Zelda was preceded in death by her parents, W.L. “Pete” and Janie Atkinson, first husband, Bobby Warren, sister, Virginia Atkinson, and a son-in-law, Jim Prestage.
She is survived by her husband, Willie James Gaskin of Pulaski, MS; three children, Patricia Prestage of Homewood, MS, Ricky Warren (Pam) of Lorena, MS, Debra Starrick (Lee) of Wiggins, MS and Kevin Gaskin (Brenda) of Philadelphia, MS; four brothers, Jimmy Joe Atkinson (Jimmie) of Morton, MS; Billy Ray Atkinson (Mammie) of Morton, MS; W.L. Atkinson, Jr. (Jan) of Southside, AL and Danny Atkinson (Marsha) of Laurel, MS; eight grandchildren, Amanda McDill (Timmy), Tony Prestage (Becky), Ashlee Coley (Shannon), Brady Warren (Katharine), Justin Bishop (Audria), Shana Calhoun, Lee Starrick, III and Karrington Sayre (Dakota) as well as seventeen great grandchildren.

She taught Home Economics at Morton High School for thirty-six years, retiring in 2006.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Verdell Blackwell and her husband, Sammy Lovett, Sr. She is survived by her two children, Sammy Lovett, Jr. (Brandy) of Morton, MS and Jennifer Lovett of Morton, MS; sister, Wanda Ingram (Rev. Ray) of Morton, MS; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Lovett, Malorie Lovett, Destiny Lovett and Wrenn Wales.

She loved to do arts and crafts and was a natural musician, she played many instruments and sang beautifully. Pastor Ruth never met a stranger and many folks across the country were blessed to have crossed paths with her. To know Pastor Ruth was to love her and to see her was to see Christ.
Pastor Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Thompson and her father, Merel Thornton. Obituary Preview: Andrew Wayne Wicker, “Pops” passed away April 6, 2023 at his childhood home at the age of 82. Wolf Funeral Home in Morton, MS, will handle Wayne’s celebration service on Tuesday, April 11th. There will be a visitation at 10:00am in the Wolf Chapel with a service following at 11:00am.
Andrew Wayne Wicker was the youngest child born to Vera Smith Wicker and Floyd Rush Wicker on May 15, 1940, in Homewood, MS. He was blessed to have an older sister, whom he adored, Helen Wicker McWilliams. Wayne graduated from Forest High School in 1957. He joined the MS National Guard serving his country for 30 years. He served as an examiner for the USPFO until his retirement as Lt. Colonel in 1993. Wayne was very patriotic. He and his friend, Dan Rushing, were honored to place flags at local cemeteries for our Veterans on Veteran’s Day. He also took pride in serving as Chaplin for The American Legion Post #9 in Forest for many years.
After his military retirement, Wayne assisted his good friend, Tony Wolf, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home. In 2008, Mr. Wolf left to start Wolf Funeral Home in Morton, MS, wherein Wayne assisted Tony in that endeavor. Wayne married Peggy Jo Hales in 1964. They were married 24 years and had two daughters, Lisa Chantee’ Wicker Harmon and Memory Lynn Wicker Parrish.
After the dissolution of Wayne and Peggy’s marriage, he later met Rose Ella Denton and the couple married on February 13, 1988. Although they did not have children together, Wayne loved and cared for Rose’s two sons, Bobby Joe Denton and Robert Denton, and their families.
Wayne had a deep faith and love of our Lord. His parents taught and helped form his faith foundation. He shared his love for Jesus with everyone he met. He was a servant for the Lord in several churches during his lifetime, but he and Rose worshiped together at Forest Baptist Church during their marriage.
Wayne is survived by his daughters, Lisa Wicker Harmon (Patrick) of Oxford, MS and Memory Lynn Parrish (Randy) of Counce, TN; step-son Robert Denton of Forest, MS; Niece, Sheila McWilliams Gainey (David) of Forest, MS. Grandchildren: Makena Gobbell (David) and their daughter Swayze; Raines Smith (Chase); Maximilian David Harmon; Morrissey Claire Harmon; Andrew Rush Harmon; Dane Patrick Harmon; Sofia Caroline Harmon; Susannah Keyne Harmon; Brandi Denton Gatewood and Emily Denton Smith (Taylor), along with numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Ella Wicker; parents, Vera and Floyd Wicker; sister Helen Wicker McWilliams and nephew, Michael Jay McWilliams and step-son Bobby Joe Denton. We are grateful for your prayers. Pops had a big smile that matched his big heart. His favorite past time was breakfast at Waffle House.
