Lisa Marie Hentges - November 03, 1968 - April 22, 2024

Departed: 04/22/2024 (California)
Obituary Preview: Lisa Marie Hentges, a treasured soul known for her boundless love and unwavering courage, departed from this life on April 22, 2024, in Jefferson City. She was born on November 3, 1968, in Johnson City, NY. Lisa's journey was marked by an infectious optimism that inspired everyone she touched.
Lisa's early years were spent in the nurturing embrace of her hometown, where she blossomed into a young woman of remarkable character. A proud graduate of the class of 1986 Grifton, NC, she carried the spirit of her high school days into her studies at Columbia College, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree with the same determination and grace that would come to define her life's work.
Professionally, Lisa dedicated herself to the service of others. Her tenure with the State of Missouri's Health and Senior Services was a testament to her compassionate nature, and her role as a social worker in home health allowed her to extend her care to those in need. Her commitment to public service was further exemplified through her involvement with AFSCME and MAOPS. Even as she faced health challenges, she continued to bring her warm presence to Lowes, where she worked until she could no longer.
Lisa's life was a portrait of vibrant passions. On March 14, 2009, Lisa was united in marriage at St. John's Methodist Church in Linn to Jason. She found solace and joy in the embrace of nature, often hiking and camping with her beloved family. These shared adventures across the trails and under the stars were among her most cherished moments. A lover of music, Lisa's enthusiasm shone brightly during family music trivia, where her knowledge and laughter would fill the room. Tennis courts were graced by Lisa's competitive yet playful spirit. There, she not only played the game she loved but also fostered lasting friendships and memories. At home, Lisa's heart belonged to her two dogs, Charlie and Cricket, who were her constant companions and sources of comfort and happiness.
Lisa's legacy is carried on by a loving family: her devoted husband, Jason Jon Hentges, of the home; her father, Barry Barnett, Sr.; her mother, Marilyn Ketchum Seymour; her daughters, Emily Barnett and Jocelyn "Jocey" Rose Hentges; her sons, Parker Mason (Kirsten Krier) and Greg Hentges; her brother, Dan Barnett; and a cherished circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Barnett, Jr., whose memory remained dear to her.
Those who knew Lisa will remember her as a beacon of love and hope. Her courageous spirit never wavered, even in the face of life's challenges. The optimism that Lisa carried with her was more than a disposition; it was a gift that she freely gave to all, a reminder to seek out the light even in the darkest of times.
As we bid farewell to Lisa Marie Hentges, we reflect on a life lived with purpose and kindness. Her memory will continue to guide us, just as the stars she so loved to gaze upon. While we mourn her departure, we also celebrate the profound impact she made on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Lisa's journey may have reached its earthly end, but her spirit remains a guiding force of love and courage for all who carry her memory in their hearts.
A Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 3-5 PM with a Celebration of Life at 5 PM at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Jeremy Caudel officiating. Jeanie Marie Parish-Tittsworth - September 27, 1978 - April 10, 2024

Departed: 04/10/2024 (California)
Obituary Preview: Jeanie Marie Parish-Tittsworth a beacon of light and laughter, embarked on her final adventure on April 10, 2024. Born on September 27, 1978, in the town of Sedalia, Missouri, Jeanie's zest for life and infectious humor touched everyone she met. She left this world in Clarksburg, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories.
Jeanie was the life of every party. She was the beloved daughter of Cindy (Hersel) Rugen and the late Darrell Gene Parish Sr. Her husband, Scott Tittsworth, stood by her side, sharing in the laughter and love that Jeanie spread so effortlessly. She was mother to her daughter, Grace Turley, and her son, Xavier Lappat. Her stepdaughters, Kimmy Hughes and Kristie Whitaker, were like her own.
Her siblings, Amanda Smith, Ashley Parish, and Darrell Gene Parish Jr., knew her as the mastermind behind mischief. Jeanie's spirit will live on through her family.
A proud graduate of Smithton High School, Jeanie was the kind of student who could make even the dullest of classes feel like a stand-up comedy show. Her teachers remembered her as much for her quick wit as for her ability to make learning an entertaining experience for everyone around her.
Jeanie's interests were as colorful and vibrant as her personality. Whether she was hanging out with friends and family, leading a chorus of laughter by the creek, or belting out tunes during karaoke nights, she was the epitome of living life to the fullest. Her sisters were her usual partners in crime, and together they could turn any gathering into an unforgettable event.
Describing Jeanie as adventurous and interesting is like saying the Grand Canyon is a nice ditch - it's an understatement of epic proportions. She was the person who would convince you to take that leap of faith, whether it was jumping into new experiences or trying that weird food at the state fair. Her stories were the kind you'd recount for years, each time with a bigger smile.
Jeanie's departure from this world was as unexpected as one of her punchlines, leaving us all with a profound sense of loss. Yet, in true Jeanie fashion, she would want us to celebrate her life with the same passion with which she lived it. She would urge us to find the humor in our tears, the joy in our sorrow, and the strength to continue the adventure in her honor.
As we say our goodbyes to Jeanie Marie Parish, let's not forget the sound of her laughter, the warmth of her embrace, and the twinkle in her eye that said, ""What are we waiting for?"" Her life was a masterclass in making every moment count, and her memory will continue to inspire us to do just the same.
Jeanie, you were a comet streaking across our skies - brilliant, unforgettable, and way too fast. Your jokes will echo in our hearts, and your spirit will forever be the spark that lights up our darkest moments. Farewell, dear Jeanie, until we meet again at that great karaoke bar in the sky. (Pace) Schlup, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on August 28, 1955, in California, MO, to Elizabeth L. “Liz” Schlup, who preceded him in death on November 10, 2005.
He was a 1954 graduate of Jamestown High School. Calvin was drafted into the United States Army, actively serving from 1957-1959, stationed in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was an active Army Reserve until his honorable discharge on March 31, 1963.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Jamestown and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 4027, California, Missouri.
In 1959, Calvin and Liz, with their newborn daughter Paula, returned to Jamestown, MO and eventually made their home on a farm north of town, which was still his home today. He was employed as a Maintenance Worker for the Missouri Department of Transportation for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. Calvin also embraced his roots as a life-long farmer, working the land and raising his Polled Hereford cattle with the same care and attention he gave to all aspects of his life.
Calvin’s love for his family was unparalleled. His guidance and wisdom were the cornerstones upon which his family built their lives. He instilled values of hard work, integrity, and kindness in all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He loved driving his 1949 International truck in the Jamestown parades, and some will even remember a Santa Claus that looked a lot like him. Every year Calvin made sure cane was planted, recruited help to strip the cane, and hosted his family’s annual molasses making days, where people came from far and wide to take home some of the best molasses made.   He loved to dance. Calvin and Liz enjoyed traveling and made many lasting, good memories with their family and friends. During one of these vacations, he entered and won a contest for Best Legs and was very proud of his “trophy legs.”

The son of Willard and Joy Lutt Blecke, both of whom preceded him in death, Gary's early years were spent in the heartland of Nebraska, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a penchant for hard work. Gary was married on June 3, 1961, to his beloved wife, Patricia Kay (Anderson) Blecke, who preceded him in death on Valentine's Day of 2019. Together, they raised a family of three children: Kim (Shannon) Bryant of California, MO, Kristi (Shelby) Thacker of Russellville, MO, and Chad (Karla) Blecke of Venice, Florida.
Gary's legacy is also carried on by his twelve grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Clark, Samuel (Karyn) Liebler, Ayden, Ava, and Alec Bryant, Lee (Hope), Savana, Brian (Ashley), Scott (Brittany) Thacker, Jean Pierre Espinoza, Lucy, and Truman Blecke, who will forever cherish the memories of their grandfather's adventurous spirit. He also loved spending time with his ten great-grandchildren, Raena, Titus, Korbyn, Rowyn, Grayson, Saul, Mavis, Kaydence, Marshall, and Claire. He could always be counted on to be in the stands watching all activities.
Gary is also survived by his siblings, Ron (Carol) Blecke and Carol (John) Messersmith, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
After graduating from high school, Gary embarked on a career with the State of California Forestry Department as a firefighter for 10 years, protecting natural resources and communities. His journey then led him back to his hometown of Wayne, Nebraska, where he embraced the life of farming - cultivating not just the land but also the values of hard work and perseverance in his children. He was ahead of the times, implementing minimum tillage and soil conservation before it was deemed "cool". Being close to dear friends and family was a true blessing in those years.
The call of entrepreneurship beckoned, and Gary moved his family to the Lake of the Ozarks, where he established Cabin Care, LTD. It was there that he poured his creative and industrious spirit into his business until his well-deserved retirement. In retirement, Gary relocated to California, MO.
Gary's interests were as diverse as his skills. He was an ardent fan of dirt track racing, and he loved gardening and propagating in his greenhouse. He could often be found fixing fences and planting all the things. He was actually magic with a skid loader.
Gary had an innate ability to envision and construct, bringing his engineering projects to life with a unique blend of precision and strength. His legacy is not just in the structures he built or the land he cultivated but in the love he shared and the lives he touched. Pat and Gary taught their family to work hard and be honest, to take risks, and mostly to forgive, to mend, and to love.
Gary's story is one of a life well-lived, full of the joy of adventure and the warmth of companionship - he was an incredible listener and storyteller. He will be so deeply missed, but his memory will be treasured forever as a testament to a life that truly made a difference.
