She was born March 12, 1975 in Harvey, Illinois to Norman and Marcia Hegyi.
She is survived by her mother, her brother Charles Szilva of Fowler, Indiana, her father, her stepmother Rhonda of Lillian, Alabama, her children Christopher Radak of Lake Village, Indiana and Megan Sluder of Petersburg, Indiana, and her longtime friend Travis Byard of Oberlin, Ohio.
Laura had a love for taking care of animals and deeply loved her dog, Dory. She will be missed by many friends and family.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 4th from 5-6pm at Gerts, Windler & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Fowler Chapel.

Obituary Preview: Leroy B. Blystone, 74, of Fowler, died April 14, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born the son of Stanley and Geraldine (Woods) Blystone on July 27, 1947 in Punxsutawney, PA. He retired after more than 40 years at the State Highway Department. Leroy had many interests and enjoyed going to races with his sons, flea markets and yard sales with his daughters. Leroy also liked old cars and trucks and especially loved his 2007 Shelby Mustang. He truly enjoyed just driving around in it and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends and being outside.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Penny Lavern Blystone, daughters, Stacey Lynn and Jana Lee Brewster.
He is survived by sons, Charles and Leland Blystone, daughters, Rebel Middleton and Conda Brewster, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Windler Funeral Home in Fowler on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 10am-1pm. Funeral will follow in the chapel of Windler Funeral Home. Procession to Fowler Cemetery immediately after with honors by the American Veterans Post 102.
Memorials may be made to the American Veterans Post 102, 116 E. 5th St., Fowler, IN  47944 or to a charity of choice.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Rebecca (nee Mosher); daughters, Samantha and Kaitlyn; parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Scianna) Powrozek; his sister and brother-in law, Sandi (Powrozek) and Tom Pepich; and his nephew, Jake.
John was a selfless and devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. His family – both his family at home and his family at work – was his world. Most often, he could be found helping Rebecca manage their busy lives, traveling as a family to new adventures, and proudly enjoying Samantha and Katie’s many accomplishments and activities. Everything he did in his life was for them.
A visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, located at 301 S. I-Oka, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. A funeral Mass/service will follow from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.

Obituary Preview: Iva Gene Marie “Ivy” Brouillette passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 13, 2022, at her home in Fowler, Indiana.
Born on December 13, 1931, to James and Lorena (Besse) Cooley in Dunnington, IN, Iva Gene had two brothers and four sisters: Marvin, Eldon, Venitta, Beverly, Eunice, and Berneice.
She married Joseph “Joe” Brouillette in July of 1950. They began married life on the family farm where they raised their five children: Stephen, Karen, Roger, Kent, and Sherry (Cheryl). Ivy was a dedicated mother and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
Ivy enjoyed being around family and friends and playing any card game, especially euchre and bridge. She was also a trophy winning bowler. She and Joe enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Florida with other Benton County friends.
She is survived by her children, including Stephen Brouillette (Debbie), Karen Young (Jim), Roger Brouillette (Linda), Kent Brouillette (Linda), Sherry Brouillette, and her sisters, Eunice Cyr and Berneice Oneal. She will be sadly missed by all her grandchildren: Jennifer, Jill, Kandis, Kyle, and Pierce and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin and Eldon, and two sisters, Venitta and Beverly.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 107 E Main Street, Fowler, IN on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. EST to 12:00 p.m. The celebration of the rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. EST. followed by the Catholic mass that will start at noon. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fowler, followed by a reception lunch at Sacred Heart School.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School or Sacred Heart Church in Fowler, Indiana.

Obituary Preview: Patricia “Tish” Ringle, 78, of Fowler, passed away February 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.  Tish was born June 3, 1943 to the late Francis and Ruth (Morrissey) Strasburger.  Tish graduated from Fowler High School in 1961.  On September 29, 1962 she married her high school sweetheart, Kenny Ringle.  They were happily married for 59 years.  They were blessed with 7 children; Todd (Linda) of Boonville, Kim (Craig) Hewitt of Rensselaer, Ted (Leslie) of Fishers, Toby (Alvaro) of Indianapolis, Tony (Sandy) of Indianapolis, Kelly (Ken) DeMaree of Cross Plains, Kris (Mark) Wallpe of Noblesville. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters, Marilyn Brouillette and Jayne Donahue as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Tish worked at the Benton County Ambulance Service, Goetz Brothers Implement Company and in the Records and Auditors Office in the Benton County Courthouse.  Tish was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and loved to give back to the community and was known to be very giving to so many.  She never met a stranger.  Tish enjoyed supporting the IU Hoosiers as well as antiquing, shopping, yard work, decorating, spending time with friends and most of all, spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Kathy Berry, Judy Myers, JoAnn McMahon, brother, John Strasburger and five grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4-7.  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 10:30 am.  Burial will happen at a later date with family.  Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart School.  Arrangements entrusted to Windler Funeral Home, 506 E. Doretia was born in Otterbein, Indiana to Velma and Ervin Toy on March 27th of 1945.  She went to school at Oxford, Indiana.
She married Grover Thomas Leuck on September 6th of 1968.  They were happily married for 53 years.
She was involved with the Fowler Chamber of Commerce and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Doretia enjoyed drawing, doing arts and crafts with her family, reading, and baking.  Above all, she really valued spending time with her family and close friends.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas, of Fowler; daughters and spouses Vanessa and Mark Cochran, of Oxford, and Cindy and Chris Stahlman, of Auburn; and 4 grandchildren who she loved very much.

Angela Gutierrez (Robert Baker Jazmine Powell Zackery Powell) Michael Yeary (Gavin Yeary) Sarah Yeary husband Dean Dill Jr (Isabel Winchester Jacob Dill Josselyn Dill Jace Dill) and Lindsey Baker significant other Jack Balensiefer. (Jr. Lawrence Gracie Lawrence Gabriel Balensiefer). She was loved by all who knew her for her caring heart and warm smile. We will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.
