Born April 6, 1927 in Bluefield, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Hinton and Edith Pyle Hinton. She was married to the late Giles Marion Lugar.
Survivors include two daughters, Dinah Anderson and Sarah Lugar; one son, Giles Marion Lugar; four grandchildren, Jordan Keen, Sean Hill, Matthew Lugar, and Kerry Stuver; and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one daughter, Martha Caroline Lugar; one sister Catherine Barnard; and one brother Vernon W. Hinton.
Ms. Helen Virginia Hinton Lugar was a beloved Mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Christ Episcopalian Church where she served as church secretary. She was a graduate of James Madison College. She spent many years as a hospice volunteer.
All funeral services will be Private.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by one daughter Regina Davis; one son Terrance Hardy; two sisters Liz Scott and Sheila McCain; one brother Ronnie McCain; two grandsons Chance Clemons and Chauncey Clemons; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by one son Ricardo Byrd; one sister Hazel Blackwell; and one brother Bernard McCain.
The family will receive visitors at the residence.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM at River Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Alvis Alston, Eulogist. Interment will follow in River Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022, from 4-6 PM at Wilson Funeral Services, mask are required.

Cecil Bridgeforth and the village known as the “Almagro Community”. Toni was faithful to his community his entire life, always willing to help his extended family and friends for he understood to love requires action.
