Lourdes, Milu as she was called was a beloved wife, a devoted and supportive mother of three children and 6 grandchildren, a caring mother In-law, stepmother and an aunt and friend to many.
She grew up in Lisbon Portugal.
Lourdes was a beautiful, thoughtful, loving, strong and sassy child. Her childhood was filled with love. After her studies she started her career working at a maternity ward in Lisbon.
At age 25 she began to receive love letters from her future husband, Germano, who lived overseas. Their first encounter was “love at first sight” and shortly after they married. In 1964, their first son was born, Antonio Manuel in Lisbon. In 1966, she emigrated to the US with Tony and pregnant with their 2nd child to join her husband and begin their life as a family. Two months after, their daughter was born, Anne Mary. Three years later, in 1969 their youngest was born, Jerry.
Lourdes was the matriarch of the family. She helped raise each grand child. She provided unconditional support, care and an over abundance of love. Her commitment, love and support will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children Tony, Anne and Jerry and grandchildren Rebecca, Cristiana, Sabrina, Sara, Deanna and Blake

Beloved mother of Harry Clay Merritt (& Sarah Martino). Loving grandmother of Gus Merritt. Dear sister of Mary Jane Clay (& Mario Starace), Patricia Clay (& Gary Hahn), Kathleen Ranger (& Phil Ranger), and Suzanne Clay-Pechtol (& Ron Pechtol). Cherished niece, cousin, and aunt. Devoted friend to many.
Before she succumbed to Lewy Body Dementia after battling it for several years, Barbara lived a vibrant life. She had a long career as a civil servant in the U.S. Federal Government, spanning the Social Security Administration, the National Science Foundation, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. But as a person of many interests and talents, Barbara also worked as a human resources specialist in private industry, as an elementary school guidance counselor, and as a freelance professional photographer. She was proud of her educational achievements, with a B.A. from Queens College, an M.B.A. from Northeastern University, and an M.Ed. from George Mason University. Known as “Bunny” to her family, Barbara was a storied world traveler who was deeply passionate about family history. True to her nickname, she was also an affectionate caregiver for several rabbits.

James Augustus Yhap was born on September 6, 1959 in Georgetown, Guyana.   He was 1 of 3 children. James came to the United States at the age of 24 in hopes of building a future for him and his family.  He humbly lived the American dream with his wife, 4 children, 3 son-in-laws and 8 grandchildren.
James was Roman Catholic and deeply believed in Jesus, while keeping his faith close to his heart.  He was a Passionist at Immaculate Conception Church and was studying to become a Deacon at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church.  James was also an integral part of church groups that included, Cloud of Glory, The Legion of Mary, Vine and Branches, Light of Christ, The Sri Lankan Prayer Group and Bukas Loob Sa Diyos.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all.  James truly enjoyed spending quality time with his family and carrying out Jesus’s mission through his church ministry.  He will greatly be missed but we know he walks beside Jesus in heaven. E. Eileen Perez of Williston Park and formerly of Brooklyn NY, passed away at the age of 99, on November 6th of natural causes. Eileen was the only adored child of Josephine and Walter Stevenson. She was the loving mother of Robert (deceased), mother-in-law of Sharon, Grandmother of Alison (Brian), Stephen (Gina) and LeighAnn (Jonathan); Great-Grandmother of Aidan DeMauro, Anthony and Dylan Perez and Isla Smith. Eileen worked for the City of New York as a supervising social worker in the area of Policy and was greatly admired and respected by her colleagues. She was a strong presence in the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Visitation at Thomas F Dalton Funeral Homes, 412 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY on Sunday, November 14th from 6pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass Monday, November 15th 11:15am at St. Aidan’s RC Church, Williston Park. Interment to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.

Obituary Preview: Helen Rose Renner (née Beranek) passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2021 in Williston Park, New York at the age of 81.  Beloved wife of Frank; loving mother of James (Tieng), Steven (Karen) and Carolyn; dear aunt of Katheryne; and cherished grandmother of Steven (Nicolette), McKenzie, Landon and Vanessa. She is preceded in death by her daughter Joanne.
Helen was born on December 17, 1939 in New York, NY to Anna and Josef Beranek. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1958. She married Frank in 1964 and was a homemaker, while raising her four children. Once they were older, she began working at The Bank of New York as a bank teller, a position she held for nearly 20 years.  Her family remembers her as a kind, funny, and loving person who was always accepting and supportive.
Helen enjoyed quilting and looking after her garden. She was proud of her Czech heritage and was able to visit the Czech Republic with her family on several occasions. Helen, or Hess as she was known by many, will be remembered for her sassy sense of humor and love of all things frog. She was a supporter of many animal charities and, in her retirement, enjoyed traveling with her family. In recent years, she took an adventurous trip out West with family where she greatly enjoyed discovering our national parks and reconnecting with old friends.
Her wake will be held on Tuesday, November 9th, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral home in Williston Park. The burial will take place on Wednesday, November 10th, at Pinelawn Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life.
