Rev. Alfred "Skip" Trembley - November 28, 1950 - April 17, 2024

Departed: 04/17/2024 (Ticonderoga)
Obituary Preview: Port Henry.  Rev. Alfred Abram "Skip" Trembley, age 73, Port Henry, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Skip was born to Fred and Sylvia Trembley on November 28, 1950, in Plattsburgh, New York. He grew up in Chazy, New York, and graduated from Chazy Central Rural School. He went on to attend the DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating with a degree in electronics.
Returning home, Skip met a fiery French Canadian woman, Janet LeBrun, who would become his wife of 51 years. Skip and his new wife moved to Dorval, Quebec, while pursuing a career in electronics. God, however, had other plans. After listening to his brother, David, give his testimony, Skip had an encounter with God while working in a vacuum factory. His life changed drastically as he entered the ministry, moving to Gouverneur with his wife and two young daughters to found his first church: Gouverneur Assembly of God.
Five years later, Skip began assistant pastoring in Plattsburgh and Lake Placid, where he served for 18 years. A series of events brought him to Hague, and Skip spent his last 23 years pastoring at Lakeside Regional Church. He went on several mission trips—Pakistan, Haiti, and Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina—gathering people together to help others.
Skip is remembered as a rebuilder of lives. He was a father and brother to many, but most importantly, he was a shepherd—a shepherd who was passionate about introducing people to the Jesus who radically changed his life.
Skip loved spending time on the golf course with his grandsons—who knew him as Papa—although it arguably grew more frustrating once Silas started beating him at his favorite sport. No one could beat his Donald Duck impression, however, or his love for bringing others joy. He was a stubborn NY Giants fan, and loved visiting Williamsburg, VA, and playing guitar for his biggest fan—Julie.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet; his daughters, April and Julie; his son-in-law, Chuck; his grandkids, Abby, Silas, and Luke; his siblings, David (Tami), Sherry, and Jill (Mark), and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the Ticonderoga First United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.  To offer online condolences, please visit www.wilcoxandreganfuneralhome.com

Patricia M. Brennan - July 24, 1937 - March 11, 2024

Departed: 03/11/2024 (Ticonderoga)
Obituary Preview: Patricia M. Brennan: July 24th, 1937 —March 11th, 2024
It is with great sadness that we report that our beloved mother, Patricia Brennan, has passed away peacefully early morning on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 86 years of age. During her last weeks she was surrounded by her entire family, as well as her loyal dog ‘Pipi.
***please note: Although we know that this may seem a bit unconventional, at our mother’s request, there will be no obituary written and published, no hours of calling for a ‘wake’, and no traditional funeral service conducted. She has asked for prayers for her eternal soul, as well as for Masses to be offered for her. We will follow this path, and not be doing any of these things, simply to honor our mother’s wishes. *** There will be a Memorial Mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Ticonderoga on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11 a.m.
Patricia lived a wonderful life and was a very patient, kind, caring, loving, and generous person to everyone she encountered. She was always focused on others, with no consideration for herself. During the recent months we have heard from many people who have told us about her great kindnesses towards them, as well as how they have tried to model their lives after her in regard to these noble human qualities.
She lived an amazingly full life during which, among many other things, she assisted her husband in running the dental practice, raised three kids, and travelled internationally to many countries including Canada, Bermuda, Ireland, England, France, and Italy. She maintained a youthful spirit throughout her entire life and enjoyed having fun with others. She oversaw the building, and decoration, of ‘Sentinel Pines’, the family home on Lake George. She loved to garden and curated both flower gardens and vegetable gardens on the property. She was an excellent photographer, and enjoyed cooking, the arts, playing cards, swimming in the lake, taking after dinner rides on one of the family’s wooden boats, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed watching sports and cheered for the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football alongside her husband. As a person with a strong, life-long faith life she attended Mass weekly and prayed with great regularity.
She will be buried, beside her loving husband of 64 years, Dr. William Brennan, at the family plot in the Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga, New York.
She is preceded in passing by her husband, the late Dr. William Brennan, as well as her parents John and Virginia Cerne. She is also preceded in passing by her sister-in-law Elaine Cerne, and her brother-in-law Joseph Brennan.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Kathleen Brennan (Dr. Dan Golder, son-in- law), her son Terry Brennan (Tessa and Meagan Brennan, granddaughters), and her son Bill Brennan (Kim Brennan, daughter-in-law). She is also survived by her brother Gerald Cerne, her sister-in-law Faye Brennan, six nieces, a nephew, and a great many friends.
If you would be so kind as to have Masses offered for her eternal soul at your local church, we would be most appreciative.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga.  The Rev. Christopher J. Looby, Pastor, will officiate.
It was a great blessing in each of our lives to have such a wonderful lady as our mother.
We thank all of you who prayed for her, and for our family, during this time. Most importantly, we want to thank all the people who knew and loved our beautiful Mother. She prized the friendships that she had and the time spent with so many lovely people. —The Brennan Family — Terry, Kathleen and Dan (Golder), Kim and Bill Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga. In her younger years, Lisa enjoyed music, hiking, and doing anything in nature. In her later years she enjoyed the quiet of Black Point Beach in Ticonderoga. Lisa lived for and thrived when it was warmer and she could take long and numerous swims in Lake George.
Lisa was wild and free spirt who lived life on her own terms and no one could tell her otherwise. She had an energy for life that could not be tamed and no one ever had to guess what was on her mind. Her friends and family were drawn into this force and energy. Lisa maintained friendships from childhood and put effort into her relationships with so many. We all looked forward to the thoughtful cards she would send with so many heartfelt words for them and updates on her own life. She was loved and had the biggest heart. Her energy and presence will be missed by everyone that loved her.
May she find and rest in peace and her memory will be forever cherished.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Gunning Dance Studio, 81 Montcalm Street, Ticonderoga. Born in Ticonderoga on July 9, 1945, the son of Ned and Pauline Ladd.
Pete worked for 30 plus years for International Paper Company of Ticonderoga starting at the downtown location, shortly after high school, and retiring from the current location in 2009. He retired as #8 Paper Machine runner.

After retirement, he loved baking cookies for local business employees and following a strict regimen of coffee groups.

Paula Anne Buckman - July 13, 1952 - February 27, 2024

Departed: 02/27/2024 (Ticonderoga)
Obituary Preview: Ticonderoga/Glens Falls.  Paula Anne (Rovelli) Buckman, 71 yrs. old, of Glens Falls, NY, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
Born in Ticonderoga, NY on July 13, 1952, the daughter of Alfred and Mildred Rovelli, Sr.
Paula attended St. Mary’s school, until the eighth grade, where she then attended and graduated from Ticonderoga High School in 1970. After graduating, she became a loving homemaker, mother, and wife. She worked at Silver Bay before moving on to work as a Nurse’s Aide at Porter Medical Center in VT for several years. Years later, she worked as the Deputy Town Clerk from 1990 – 2000 under the mentorship of then Town Clerk, Wilma Ryan. Upon Wilma Ryan’s retirement, Paula then ran for, and was elected Town Clerk and appointed in 2000. She would always talk about her love of her service to the wonderful people of her town, her community, and she had great pride in being in her position of service, and truly valued friendships and support along the way.
Paula is predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Buckman, son, Jerrad M. Buckman, and both parents (Alfred and Mildred (Priest) Rovelli, Sr; and younger sisters, Rosemary (Rovelli) Daniels and Angela (Rovelli) Rabideau. She is survived by siblings, Diane (Rovelli) Henry and Alfred Rovelli, Jr.; Daughters, Michelle Shufelt (Robert), Allison M. Hammond, and son, Eric D. Buckman. Both Michael and Paula Buckman also opened their hearts and home to welcome into our family, nieces, Heather Taylor (Rovelli), deceased Cheryl Brunell (Decker), as well as, their “Finnish” son, Kimmo Kiiski. Mom and Dad always had love in their hearts and home, which was opened for many families and friends throughout their lifetime.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Marissa Keast (and companion, Ryan Wendel), Michael Hammond, Jacob Keast, Lillie and Hunter Shufelt, and great grandchildren, Kynlee Keast, Wren & Alyssa Wendel, and Evan Tomlinson; as well as, many nieces and nephews, and their extended families.
We (her children) remember hearing our mom telling the story of how, ever since the young age of 11, she knew she was going to marry our dad. And she did just that on July 18, 1970, when she married Michael James Buckman, the “love of her life”. Together, they started their family, and nothing brought her greater joy in life than being a very proud wife, mother, and home maker to her husband and to her children.
Paula, in her younger years, also enjoyed babysitting, bowling with her husband, ice skating, ceramics, cooking, making cakes, especially with her husband for weddings and special events, playing cards, Scrabble, dice, and camping, which was also such a fond family memory, shared with many friends and loved ones, including our “Aunt Mary” (Van Alstyne), many summers.
There will be no calling hours, nor funeral. However, there will be a graveside service on May 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 195 Alexandria Avenue, Ticonderoga, NY 12883, followed by a celebration of life (date and time to follow) honoring Paula, her beloved husband, Michael J. Buckman, family fur-baby, Curley Moe Buckman, and her dear sister, Rosemary Daniels. All are welcome to attend.
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Diane Reandeau, for providing such loving care, for Jerrad before he passed, and for giving the most invaluable gift of friendship to our mom, and to our family. And special blessings and appreciation also, to her lifelong friend, Anne Morette, who shared a lifetime journey of friendship, family, love, and compassion with her dearest "Paulie".

Departed: 01/19/2024 (Ticonderoga)
Obituary Preview: Erwin Jeremiah Siwek recently passed away at his home in Hague, NY. Erwin (“Bub” to family and “EJ” to colleagues) was born and raised in Ballston Spa, NY. Bub was a loving father, devoted husband, dear brother, and doting grandfather.
Bub attended Alfred University where he obtained his master’s degree and met his future wife and love of his life, Cynthia Jane Siwek. He began his career working for nonprofits before founding two successful businesses from the ground up, SCLM Software and Flashpoint Technologies.
In the 1980s, Bub and his wife began a family and raised three sons in Connecticut. A devoted father, he shared his love of the great outdoors with his boys – to include camping trips, tennis, hiking, and countless lake activities. Bub loved to travel, cheer on the UConn women’s basketball team, and could fix just about anything. He provided a life full of fun and happy memories at their home in Connecticut, spending each summer at Lake George in Hague, NY. Bub could not get enough of the Lake, so he fully renovated the house with the help of his sons and friends to make it their dream home. Once complete, Bub and Cindy moved to Hague full time, creating a lake home that his family and friends would cherish for decades to come.
Once in Hague full time, Bub started his second career as a chef which he (and anyone that tasted his cooking) loved and appreciated. Some of the most cherished family memories were made over enjoying Bub’s warm homemade cooking at the dinner table, always paired with a glass of red wine. Bub retired in 2021. He spent his free time trying out new recipes, undertaking home improvement projects, traveling, woodworking, being a Hague Hiker, and taking out the family boat – deemed the Island Hopper - for campfire picnics with family and friends.
Bub is by survived by his wife of 46 years (Cynthia Jane Siwek of Hague, NY); three children (Scott Siwek of Ballston Spa, NY; Christopher Siwek of, Clifton Park, NY; Jason Siwek of Falls Church, VA); and five grandchildren (Joy, Maisie, Bryce, Madelyn, and Vera Siwek.)
