years of love and service to her family and her community. Betty Jane was born May 20, 1926, to Wilbur and Eva Rogers at home. She is survived by her sister, Alice Taylor of Independence, Kansas, four children, Sharon (Glen) Dikes, Oklahoma City, Jayne (Lee) Mattix, Independence, Kent (Sarah)VanDyne, Basehor, Kansas and Andy (Kris) VanDyne, Everton, AR; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, H. Wayne VanDyne and grandson, Curt Dikes, her parents, Wilbur and Eva Rogers, sister, Lucille Rogers and brother Merle Lee Rogers,
and a host of family members and friends. Betty Jane graduated from Independence High School with the Class of 1944, married H. Wayne VanDyne on June 9, 1946, after the church service in the First Nazarene Church, 11th and Walnut where they were active members until they were unable to physically attend. They were avid
supporters of all ministries of the church often being the center of social activities at their home especially during the summer.
Betty Jane was the ultimate hostess, making all who entered her home welcome and comfortable. Her kitchen was her queendom. Many pies, cookies, cakes, and delicious meals were offered to family and guests around her kitchen table. She also enjoyed sewing and specifically making quilts. Her skills were impeccable. Each of the grandchildren was blessed with a quilt she had
lovingly put together, some of them quilted by hand. Betty Jane lived out Love—for family, neighbor, the marginalized, the other. She leaves a great
legacy for all of us to follow.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Hall.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to Gideons International, Independence Church of the Nazarene or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
The family will have a private burial at Harmony Cemetery.

Kathy was a kind, generous, and loving person. She had a warm heart and a compassionate nature that endeared her to everyone she met. Kathy was a devoted sister to her brother, David (Judy) Jones of Cherryvale, Kansas. She cherished her role as an aunt to her nephews, Stan (Becky) Jones of Wichita and Seth (Sarah) Jones of Cherryvale, and her great nieces and nephews, Austin Jones, Anna Jones, Anderson Jones, Adelaide Jones, and Eliza Jones.
After graduating from Labette County High School in the Class of 1972, Kathy began her career at Fred Ronald Clothing Manufacturer in Parsons, Kansas. She later worked for ACC, Dana, and Standard Motors in Independence, Kansas, where she dedicated over 30 years of her life.
Kathy found solace and strength in her faith and was an active member of the Galesburg Christian Church. She enjoyed attending church services and cherished the community she found there.
In her free time, Kathy loved indulging in crafts and spending time with her nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her caring and nurturing nature made her a beloved figure in their lives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, located at 216 East 4th in Cherryvale, Kansas. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.

Carolyn Jean Cole - November 09, 1948 - January 18, 2024

Obituary Preview: Carolyn Jean Cole, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Independence, Kansas.
Born on November 9, 1948, to Glen and Ann Lee (Barnes) Prather, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Independence, where she was known for her kindheartedness, generosity, and loving nature.
She attended Sycamore High School, Carolyn dedicated many years of service to Cobalt Boats in Neodesha and the Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, where her work ethic and commitment were highly regarded.
Carolyn's joy in life was found in the simple pleasures of visiting area casinos and engaging in card games with her family, activities that brought laughter and warmth to those around her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her son, Kenneth (Tisha Ysusi) Cole; daughter, Shelley (Eric Culbertson); sisters, Velma Prather and Emma Cain; seven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Raymond Cole, and her daughter, Kristina "Kristy" J. Zinn.
In accordance with her wishes, Carolyn has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. The Wickham Family Funeral Home in Cherryvale, Kansas, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time. Carolyn's memory will be forever held in the hearts of those she touched.

She was born on December 7, 1926, in Independence, Kansas to Richard Cole Housel and Alta Alleen (Smith) Housel. Laura, also known as "Larky," was a sassy and feisty woman who always spoke her mind.
Laura attended Cherryvale High School and graduated in 1944. She went on to have a successful career as an office manager for her cousin John Housel Sr., as well as a bookkeeper for the Cherryvale Citizen Newspaper, HD Lee Company, and Dollar Store in Cherryvale.
In her free time, Laura enjoyed playing bingo, taking pictures, and passionately following the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks, and Kansas City Royals.
Laura is survived by her sister, Maxine Stacy of Parsons, Kansas, her sister-in-law, Gloria Housel of Kansas City, Missouri, three grandchildren - Jeff Groff of Independence, Kansas, Doug Groff of Independence, Kansas, and Kyle Groff of Parsons, Kansas - as well as seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie Groff-Rash of Cherryvale, Kansas, Savannah Groff of Independence, Kansas, Abbi Groff of Bradenton, Florida, Soli Groff of Pittsburg, Kansas, Spencer Groff of Parsons, Kansas, Kaylee Groff of Parsons, Kansas, Kale Groff of Independence, Kansas, 2 great great grandchildren, Teagan Rash and Taylen Rash. She also leaves behind her niece, Debbie Saladino of Kansas City, Missouri, her great-nephew Matthew Saladino of Irvine, California, and her great-niece Kristina Hinton of Kansas City, Missouri.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alta Housel, her son, Larry Groff, and her brother, Robert J. Housel.

She was born on April 23, 1940, in McAllister, Oklahoma, to Donald F. Davis and Delia (Mendenhall) Davis.
Donna attended Cherryvale High School, graduating in 1958. She had a fulfilling career, working for Prestige Cabinet Company in Neodesha, Kansas, for 26 years. She then spent 15 years at Casey's convenient store in Neodesha and an additional year in Cherryvale.
On February 12, 1971, in Independence, Kansas she was united in marriage to Arthur W. Woods and he preceded her in death May 3, 2008.
Donna found solace and community in her places of worship. She attended the Southern Baptist Church in Neodesha and the Nazarene Church, Bible Holiness and The Hub in Cherryvale.
In her free time, Donna indulged in her passions and hobbies. She loved tending to flowers. Donna also enjoyed visiting fish aquariums and cherished her beloved cat of 14 years.
Donna will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sons, James W. Hopkins of Independence, Kansas, and Timothy J. Hopkins of Chanute, Kansas, her daughter, Betty Jean Singhurst of Independence, Kansas, her foster daughter, Starlet Kimberlin of Chanute, Kansas, her sister, Alene Smith of Cherryvale, Kansas, as well as her 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
Services for Donna Mae Woods will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at The Hub in Cherryvale, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Norton.
Bob attended Cherryvale High School, graduating in 1969. He began his career as a plumber and in construction in his younger days, later working with Bo Raida building fences until his ill health.
In his free time, Bob loved to drink beer, fish, and cook. He was particularly fond of cooking at My Place for the monthly steak feed and every Sunday for family and friends.

A short Celebration of LIfe service will be held Saturday, November 25, 10:30 a.m. at Wickham Family Funeral Home in Cherryvale.
She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, bright, and strong, family centered woman with a sense of humor. She loved animals and never failed to see the best in people. During her last days, she faced her battle with bravery and said “A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do”. She managed a large household, many unique life situations, supported and loved her hometown of Cherryvale always, helped run several companies, was a devoted and loving partner and friend, and assisted many people over the years. She kept her childlike wonder and enthusiasm for life. She enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, many types of crafts and art, laughter, and took great pleasure in the good fortune of others. She was a great mother and a friend to animals or anyone who needed help.
To her grandkids, she will be remembered as someone who loved them unconditionally. She taught them to play cards, dive, swim, do puzzles, ride bikes, and provided for them over and over again. She was a central figure in their lives. She always found a reason to laugh with her best friend and sister, Ann Bailey, whose kids she loved as her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Erma Fern (Fink) Humphrey and James Benjamin Humphrey, her siblings James Humphrey and Dorothy Ann (Humphrey) Bailey, her daughter Shannon Gragg, her stepson Mark Housel, her nephew Troy Bailey, her ex-husband John Housel, and Mike Housel, as well dear friends and other family members.
She is survived by Melissa Gragg, Jaden, Tariq, Sabrina, Merani, Shannon Nessie, and Zora Gragg, John Housel, Jr.and Janie Hugo, Jeff Housel, Kim Harris, Vicki Housel, Tim and Shana Housel, Chris and Sarah Harris, Miranda and Jeremie Reid, Shane and Maggie Harris, LJ Housel and Gabrielle Rodriguez, Clayton Buck, Chance Housel, Collin Housel, Sean Housel, Derrick Housel, Starr Housel, Mark Jr., Jessica Housel, and Brandin Housel, and all of their precious families. She was born on January 9, 1936, in Thayer, Kansas, the daughter of Wayne and Alta Mae (Mitchell) Blackburn. Barbara was a loving and proud individual, known for her kindness and generosity.
On March 2, 1952, in Cherokee, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Forrest D. Strickland, and he preceded her in death July 13, 2012.
Barbara pursued higher education and obtained an associate degree at Independence Community College. She dedicated her career to serving the people of Kansas, working at the State of Kansas Job Service Center, and later becoming a mentor at Grandview Products, where she helped countless individuals with their financial needs.
Barbara was a member of the Cherryvale Presbyterian Church. She found joy in various hobbies, including traveling, genealogy, antiques, and family get-togethers.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Bruce Strickland of Cherryvale, Kansas, and Steven (Linda) Strickland of Cherryvale; her daughters, Janet (Mike) Carter of Mustang, Oklahoma, Tanna (Greg) Boss of Cherryvale, Kansas, and Tori (James) Armbruster of Cherryvale, Kansas; her brother, Lee Blackburn of Cherryvale, Kansas; her sisters, Linda Malcom of Topeka, Kansas, Carol Kantor of Lavista, Nebraska, and Ginger Jones of Gulfport, Mississippi; as well as 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Alta Mae Blackburn; her husband, Forrest Strickland; her son, Sonny Strickland; and her brothers, Dale Eugene Blackburn, Mike Blackburn and David Blackburn

She was born on December 18, 1946, in Mendota, Illinois, to Albert and Ruth Fultz. Cheryl was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Cheryl had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for baking, cooking, and playing cards. Cheryl also loved fishing, and collecting Coca-Cola items, and had an extensive frog collection. She enjoyed spending time at the casino and cherished moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by her children: Tim Fultz of Austin, TX, Cheri Seemann of Cherryvale, KS, Sally Benson of South Coffeyville, OK, and Lona Vidler of Cherryvale, KS. She is also survived by her siblings: Nancy Steffen of Dubuque, Iowa, Sandra Steele of Oglesby, Illinois, and Judy Kimsel of Ohio, Illinois.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren: Amber Cunningham, Charles Cunningham III, Amber Groff, Trace Groff, Trenton Benson, Steven Benson, Cody Fultz, Noah Fultz, Damon and Dalton Dobbs, Waylon Vidler, Alexis Vidler, and Kyle Vidler. Additionally, Cheryl leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Arary Burgell, Ariah Burgell, Axton Burgell, Huxlee Burgell, Leah Claire Dobbs, Josiah Cunningham, Elijah Cunningham, Isabella Cunningham-Sharpe, Cassie Brown, Axel Brown, and Raven Brown.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, her sisters; Connie Blackburn, Karen Higgins Fultz, and Susie Fultz, her brothers; Jimmy Fultz, Larry Fultz, and Lawrence Fultz, as well as her daughter, Cindy Groff.
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas. The family invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating Cheryl's life at a memorial service, which will be held at a later date.

LaVerna Lee Huneycutt - July 19, 1937 - August 28, 2023

Obituary Preview: LaVerna Lee (Hicks) Huneycutt age 86 of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 19, 1937 in rural Morehead, Kansas, the daughter of Vernon & Pearl (Wells) Hicks.
She attended Morehead Elementary School and then Labette County Community High School in Altamont, Kansas for her secondary education. Graduating from LCCHS in 1955 with a HS diploma, she also earned a trade school diploma in Commerce – Secretarial Training. In high school she studied piano along with her business training and was also active in student council, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), pep club, a cheerleader, twirler, and basketball and football queen candidate.
Despite growing up only a few miles apart, LaVerna did not meet her future husband Jim until after graduation. She was a waitress at Cherryvale’s Highway 169 Café when he came in for a bite to eat. LaVerna married James D. Huneycutt on July 4, 1956, at Hazeldell Southern Baptist Church just before her 19th birthday. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2022 before Jim’s passing in December 2022.
The Hicks family helped establish Hazeldell Southern Baptist Church and LaVerna spent many years serving the small rural church in any capacity needed. She played the piano, managed the financial records, cooked meals, cleaned, organized activities, taught Sunday School and VBS, and even transported kids in the area in a VW van to go to church and church camp. She was also instrumental in helping establish and support Theos Agape – a youth music group from the church who toured the area performing at many revivals and small churches. Later, she continued to serve at the Southern Baptist Church in Liberty, KS.
As a young woman, LaVerna worked at the Independence, KS Professional Building for legal professionals and National Life Insurance Company. Jim & LaVerna then formed Huneycutt Construction, providing heavy earth-moving excavation work for both farm and business. LaVerna managed all the business aspects of the company for over 40 years, until they retired in 2006. They also farmed in rural Cherryvale and Morehead.
Active in the community and many service organizations, LaVerna served as; 4-H leader, Chamber of Commerce member, Beta Sigma Phi Women’s Association member, election poll volunteer, rural volunteer fire department support, and Morehead Cemetery board member. One of many service projects LaVerna organized included the cleanup and revitalization of Logan Park in Cherryvale.
With a strong interest in history and pride in her community, LaVerna researched the authorship of the Pledge of Allegiance controversy. Her research tied Cherryvale native Frank Bellamy with the writing of the Pledge and led her to organizing the memorial located at Logan Park commemorating his life and achievements. In addition, after hours of meticulous research, she with Jim, created a veteran’s memorial at Morehead Cemetery honoring all area veterans.
LaVerna is survived by; her daughter, Carol Huneycutt Ehlers and son-in-law Brent Ehlers of Storm Lake, Iowa; daughter Teresa Paul and son-in-law Randy Paul of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Austin James Ehlers and his wife Taylor of Storm Lake, Iowa; Joshua Alstatt and his wife Allyson of Kansas City, Missouri; Anna Marie Ehlers of Columbus, Ohio and Alex Paul of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one great-grandchild, Magnolia LaVerna-Lea Ehlers, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Brother-in-Law Gary Huneycutt, of Gateway, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jay D. Hicks, and Quincy E. Hicks.
Visitation under the direction of Wickham Funeral Home in Cherryvale will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Hazeldell Southern Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Morehead Cemetery. Lunch will be served following the service. Memorial donations in memory of LaVerna may be made payable to Hazeldell Southern Baptist Church.

Obituary Preview: Cecil C. Clifton, 94, of Independence, Kansas formerly of Oroville, California passed away Saturday morning, August 5, 2023, at his son’s residence in rural Independence.
Cecil Charles Clifton was born June 19, 1929, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Charles C. Clifton and Pearl (Couch) Clifton. He served with United States Army from 1951 until honorably discharged in 1953.
On September 3, 1960, in Ashland, Oregon he was united in marriage to Frances H. Palmer, and she survives at the home.
Cecil enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, gold panning and collecting rare Avon bottles.
He was a roofer in California for 38 years.
Survivors include his wife Frances of Cherryvale, Kansas, children, Ruth Goins (Les) of Thayer, Kansas, Charles Clifton of Corydon, Indiana, Paul Clifton (Vicki) of Independence, Kansas, brother, James Clifton of Oroville, California and 8 grandchildren, Ryan Goins (Alicia), Darrin Goins (Maria), Brett Goins (Tina), Caleb Clifton (Lydia), Cassandra Sutherland (Oliver), Daniel Clifton, Chad Clifton, Darrell Clifton (Rebecca), 10 great grandchildren, Devon, Landyn, Courtney, Nichole, Bradyn, Kaylee, Calissa, Lydia, Peyton and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stanley Clifton and 3 sisters, Geneva Gregory, Frances Miller and Anita Miller.
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335. Private family services will be held at a later date.

On November 10, 1993, in Altamont, Kansas he was united in marriage to Amy Shepard, and they were later divorced.
Eric worked for Charloma in his younger years. He most recently was employed with Hix Corporation in Pittsburg, Kansas as brake press operator. He also worked on the family farm.
He enjoyed music, riding dirt bikes, electronics, anything that had to do with remote controls and was good at figuring things out if it needed fixed. He loved to have fun and be around friends and family.
Survivors include his parents, Earl and Carol Whittley of Cherryvale, Kansas, daughters, Kourtni Whittley (Judd Noble) of Cherryvale, Kansas, Rylee Shepard-Whittley of Parsons, Kansas, brothers, Curtis Whittley of Cherryvale, Kansas, Aaron Whittley of Cherryvale, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.

On November 7, 1967, at Reno, Nevada she was united in marriage to Jarold Timmerman, and he survives at the home.
She worked as a Personal Care Attendant and was a homemaker. She loved gardening, quilting, crafts and taking care of her chickens.
Survivors include her husband, Jarold of the home, children, Frankland Timmerman of Cherryvale, Kansas, Charline Timmerman of Cherryvale, Kansas, niece who was like a daughter, Dawn Henshall, of Humboldt, Kansas, siblings, Elizabeth Elliott of Independence, Kansas, Norman Elliott of Carthage, Missouri, grandchildren, Kayla Timmerman, Kyle Timmerman, great grandchild, Frezhea Bitner and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

David enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Jackie worked for Emerson Electric in Independence, Kansas for 20 years and retired in 1996 due to health reasons. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Erna Bennett of Cherryvale, Kansas, sons Robert J. Barnett and T.J. Nixon of Cherryvale, Kansas, Terry (Lori) Barnett of Cherryvale, Kansas, stepson, Dan (Betsy) Lindquist of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, brother, Raymond Bennett of Quenemo, Kansas, sister-in-law Joyce Bennett of Cherryvale, Kansas, Mary Bennett of Ozark, Missouri, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Bennett, her husbands Joseph “Joe” Barnett and Arvid “J.R.” Lindquist, sister Sharon Bennett, brothers Charles Bennett and Kenneth Bennett, and a great grandson Jaryn Barnett.

Justin loved music, and enjoyed listening to it, picking around on a guitar, and dancing. Justin had a contagious smile and a wicked grin. Justin loved everything outdoors, camping, bonfires, fishing, you just name it, and Justin was all in. Justin’s greatest joy of all was his children.

Bill was born on July 4, 1936 to Martin and Opal Ott. He attended Cherryvale schools where he graduated in 1954, While in school he played the trombone for the band and was a for the “Fighting Cherries” football team. While on the team they had the most wins records for the school. He also was a pitcher for the Independence and Neodesha Legion Baseball
teams. After graduation from high school, Bill attended Coffeyville Community College where he was a member of the “Red Raven” football team. In 1956 while playing college football, the Red Ravens went to California to play in the National JUCO Championship, where as one of the captains, the team
brought home the National Title. After graduation Bill accepted a job as part of the management team for the Keokuk, Iowa YMCA and furthered his
education getting his Bachelor's in Physical Education.
While working at the YMCA he fell head over heels for this beautiful curly haired blonde named Linda Murphy.
Bill and Linda were married on August 24, 1958. After getting married and graduating from college they moved to Mason City, Iowa where he had accepted a job on the management team for the YMCA there. He worked there advancing his knowledge in the YMCA, and after a couple of years there he was offered the Executive Director’s position at the Boone County YMCA, in Boone, Iowa. While there he was involved in building a new building that had a large gym and an inside pool. In 1983, after developing programs and implementing programs improving and adding so much for families and the community, he and Linda moved back to his home town of Cherryvale, Kansas where he became Vice President of PPI Corp out of Billings, Montana. Where he raised millions of dollars for several medical and private institutes Bill loved playing golf, sitting on the porch waiving at every car that would go over the overpass, working at the Cherryvale Food Bank, being very active with the Cherryvale Alumni Association, traveling with Linda, spending winters on
South Padre Island, Texas. Watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Linda, of 64 years. Son Bob (Donn) Ott, Daughters Terry Ott, and Teena (John)
Dannels. Grand Children, Linsey (Zack) Ackerman, Arthur Thompson, Jonathon Thompson, Natasha ( Jeff) Kelly, Christian ( Mariah) Ott, Kelsey ( Tim) Nelson, Kira Dagit ( Mike Shulk), Kylie ( Mark)
Cates, Jeremy Godfrey, Benjamin Godfrey, Andrew Godfrey, and Zachary Minyard.
14 great grandchildren, His brother Bob E Ott, Aunt Maxine Stacy, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Opal Ott, son in law AJ Thompson, great grandson Joey
Thompson, sister in law Dianne Ott.

She worked as a waitress and was a licensed esthetician. She was a skilled craftsman and very artistic. She painted glassware, made rain sticks and refashioned tables and chairs. Most of her crafts she would make from nature. She loved to collect turtle figurines and artifacts. She cherished her two dogs, Ginger and Pepper.
Survivors include her father, Richard Creek of Stanton, Texas, mother, Adah Creek of Cherryvale, Kansas, sons, Corbean Tuggle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carson Creek of Cherryvale, Kansas, brother, Philip (Gayla) Creek of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and nephew, Jaden Creek.

John was a people person and never met a stranger, he enjoyed all things outdoors but fishing, gardening, and hunting mushrooms were some of his favorites. He also loved music and was very talented, he could sing and play instruments at the drop of a hat.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie Preston, mother, Mary Preston of Mayetta, Kansas, daughter, Tiffany (Andrew) Nicole Nelson of Mound Valley, Kansas, sister, Joann (Dari) Stotts of Mayetta, Kansas, Susie Preston (Ron) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Riley and Parker Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his father John Timothy Preston.
