Obituary Preview: Edith Little, an 88 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:58 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Wright Memorial Hospital of Trenton. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Tenth St. Baptist Church of Trenton. Inurnment will follow in Pilot Grove #1 Cemetery near Gilman City. Memorial donations are suggested to the Church Women’s United Thrift Shop and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Edith Eulilia Little was born June 17, 1930 in Harrison County to John and Chlora (Gleason) Hudson. She graduated from Gilman City High School. On December 25, 1954 she was united in marriage to John Little. Edith lived all of her life in Grundy and Harrison Counties. She enjoyed volunteering at the Church Women’s United Thrift Store and helping with activities at Sunnyview Nursing Home. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church. Surviving relatives include her children Nancy Vu and significant other, James Naugles of Sedalia, MO, Naomi Leach and husband Larry of Kansas City, MO, Martin Little and wife Kim of Trenton, Beth Weston and husband Jeff of Raytown, MO and David Little and wife Carla of Trenton, MO, brothers Bob Hudson of Springfield, MO and Bernard Hudson, a sister Linda Ishmael of Bethany, MO, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, a sister Nola Jean Shirley, brothers Russell, Ray, Randall, and Frank Hudson, and a grandson Jason.

A memorial service will be held later in Kellerton, Iowa at the Kellerton Family Worship Center on December 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm.Mrs. Lee was born July 2, 1959 in Portland, Oregon the daughter of William Junior and Jessie B. Akers Richman. She attended Grand Valley High School, Kellerton, Iowa, and later she went on to graduated from Southwest Community College, Creston, Iowa with a Registered Nursing degree. At the time of her death she was employed at Morning Side Center, Chillicothe, MO. Her Career path included Creston Nursing and Rehab Center, Greater Regional Medical Center, Creston Home Health, Greenfield Hospital, Nurses on Call, Hospice services, Fluer Heights Care Center, Sunnyview, Eastview and ending her career at Morning side. She had a heart of gold and touch everyone’s lives that she came in contact with. Mrs.  Anna L. Garrison was born June 7, 1947 at Trenton the daughter of Raymond and Goldie Burkeybile Snidow. Attended Trenton Schools. Before retiring she was employed at Conagra at Milan.
She loved to bake, cook, make homemade noodles, loved spring time, her favorite flower was red rose, had a great sense of humor and especially love all of her family.
On May 7, 1971 she was married to John P. Garrison at Trenton.
Her survivors include her husband John of the home. Two daughters Shelly Milner and husband Tim and Kelly Hines and husband James all of Trenton. Five grandchildren Tiffany Norman, Molly Norman, Angela Woodley and husband Junior, Eric Hines, and Logan Garrison. Three great grandchildren Chase Whitson, Izabella Woodley and Emery Cornelison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant half sister, one infant half brother, one son Phillip Garrison, and one grandson Joshua Garrison.

Obituary Preview: Bob Wimer, 85 years old, died November 7, 2018 at his home in Trenton after being on Hospice for some time. He was born in Trenton on March 13, 1933 to William Alfred and Grace Cox Wimer in the old log Riverside Country Club where his father was the greens keeper.He was married to the former Betty Raney of Humphreys on August 23, 1953 when he was on leave from boot camp at Ft. Sill, OK. Following their marriage he was deployed to the Republic of Panama for jungle training in preparation for service in Korea. The conflict ended while he was in the Canal Zone where he finished his service in the tank company as a cook.He graduated from Trenton High School in 1951 and attended Trenton Junior College (now NCMC). In 1956 he began attending Skaer Barber College in Kansas City. Upon finishing his training , he worked for a time with Ardie Hall in his barber shop in Spickard. He barbered in Trenton and owned the Five Point Barber Shop where he retired in 1996 after 39 years behind the barber chair. He thoroughly enjoyed every person who came in his barber shop and was working on some third generation customers when he quit. He was a good listener and knew that what was told in the barber shop stayed in the barber shop.He was a 63 year member of the First Christian Church where he served on the building committee for the new church, was a deacon and a charter member of both the 50-50 and the Seekers Sunday School Classes. He was also a 63 year member of the Trenton American Legion Post.He enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Florida. Some of his favorite memories were the times he shared at his cabin at Lake Wittona with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He loved electronics and spent hours working on his computer and stockpiling music of every genre and era. He was an expert leather-crafter. He was self-taught and learned to tool billfolds, belts and purses. He loved giving his billfolds to his teenage patrons when they graduated from high school.His survivors include his wife, four children: Rebecca Wimer-Pisano (Frank), Beverly Wimer, Elizabeth Wimer Bouzek (Terry) and Robert Wimer (Sonja), six grandchildren: Jared Bouzek (J’Lesa), Nicole Bouzek, Michael Pisano, Laramy Raymo, Ilana Raymo and Riley Raymo, two great granddaughters: Clair and Lauren Bouzek, one sister , Beverly Bunten (Gerry) and one brother, Roy Wimer (Phyllis), plus many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special and loyal friend, Buddy the dog, who faithfully stuck by him to the end.Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Richard Watkins.There will be no visitation or services. The family is gathering at the Wimer home. Friends are welcome any time. The inurnment will take place in the Maple Grove Cemetery at a later time. Memorials may be given to The First Christian Church, Trenton, designated to the Christian camp fund or to Three Rivers Hospice in Cameron. They may be left at the Slater Funeral Home.

He then graduated from North Central Missouri College, Trenton with an Associates Degree. Then he attended Franklin University In Ohio graduating with a Bachelors Degree. He had recently become certified in medical transcription.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Princeton.
On May 19, 2007 he was married to Sarah M. G. Pengelly at Galt, MO.
His survivors include his wife Sarah of the home. Mother and Step-Father Kathy and Marion Tolle, Edinburg, Texas. His father Melvin Wheeler and his companion Nancy Bragg, Cario, MO. One sister Tisha Tolle and husband Marion of Lake Village, Indiana. One niece Rachelle Tolle and one nephew Austin Tolle both of Rosemount, Minn. They farmed for 55 years before retiring and moving to Trenton in 2005.His family and friends will truly miss his sense of humor and his kindness and generosity to them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and sports, but he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in any sport or activity. After retiring, his favorite pastime was going for early morning coffee and visiting with friends.His survivors include his wife Nina, the love of his life for 68 years. Mr. William (Dude) J. Lankford 93, a resident of Trenton, MO. died Thursday night, July 5, 2018, at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton.
His body was cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home, Trenton.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the Hodge Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Merrin officiating. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Trenton.
Dude, the son of Ervin and Effie Hickman Lankford, was born on May 1, 1925, at Spickard, Missouri. He attended Spickard School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 during World War II. After his service, he studied agriculture before marring Nina Louise Brown at Trenton, Missouri on October 2, 1949. They farmed for 55 years before retiring and moving to Trenton in 2005.
His family and friends will truly miss his sense of humor and his kindness and generosity to them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and sports, but he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in any sport or activity. After retiring, his favorite pastime was going for early morning coffee and visiting with friends.
His survivors include his wife Nina, the love of his life for 68 years. One son Benny (Debbie) Lankford, Princeton. Two daughters Beverly (Mike) Bosley and Gloria (Olen) Stephens all of Trenton. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one sister Marian Blacksten, Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Wendell Lankford, two sisters Pauline Hale Lynch and Francis Beverlin Milner, one grandson Ryan Bosley, three great grandchildren Izabella, Tegan and Tatum Leeper, and one infant great-great granddaughter Elyna Ann Shimer.

Mr. Henderson was born October 4, 1955 in Lock Springs, MO to Theodore and Roberta Stevens Henderson. David was married to Terri Henderson in 1977. The couple has three daughters; Haley Gibson and her husband, Sean, of Walnut Creek, California; Abby Farris of Trenton; and Madalyn (Mady) Henderson of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are granddaughters; Brooklynn Farris, Reece Farris, and Gabby Gibson. Mr. Henderson is also survived by four sisters and three brothers in law; Carolyn and Jerry Sharp, Jamesport, Mo.; Janet Adams, Trenton, MO.; Nancy and Troy Smith, Jamesport, MO.; and Lisa and Bret Smith, Eagleville, Mo.. He has many nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews. David has spent his entire life surrounded by all females who treasure him dearly. He has been our king, protector, mentor, provided lots of humor daily, and helped us all to be better people. David attended Tri-County School at Jamesport, graduating in 1974. While in school, he was active in basketball, and several organizations including FFA. After graduation, he began working for Hoffman and Reed in both Jamesport and Trenton. In 1980, he began working for Thomas Hauling as a milk truck driver. He began his career with Trenton Municipal Utilities in 1986 and worked there as Supervisor of Electrical Distribution until he retired in 2015. He was strongly devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, and his large family. His three granddaughters were one of the greatest things that happened to him. Even though in ill health for the past 22 years, he managed to take his oldest granddaughter fishing. He kept in very close contact with Gabby by FaceTiming her many times each week. He enjoyed watching all of her horse riding lessons via videos. He checked granddaughter, Brooklynn’s daily school work via Seesaw, a program that allows students to share their work with family members. Youngest granddaughter, Reece, loves sharing “Papa Dave’s” big man recliner for cuddling and lots of laughs. Mr. Henderson was an avid hunter and fisherman taking several trips to Colorado to hunt until his health prevented it. The past few years, he still went deer hunting to be with his family and friends who like to hunt. Mr. Henderson is a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church. Donations to the American Lung Association may be left at Slater Funeral Home. The body was cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home.
