She was born September 5, 1939 in Brilliant, OH a daughter of the late Ernest A. and Mary F. (Steen) Bane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Green on January 25, 2009; a son, Richard “Ernie” Green on May 14, 2012; and three brothers, Charles “Charlie” Bane, Herman Bane and Sonny Bane.
Barb was retired from the former K-Mart Department Store and Wells Township, where she was the former head of the Wells Township Senior Citizens. Barb graduated from Brilliant Memorial High School. She was a member of the Brilliant Christian Church and the Brilliant First United Presbyterian Church. Barb founded the group Caring and Sharing in Brilliant. She enjoyed word searches, crocheting and puzzles.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly (Steve) Stillion of Martins Ferry, OH; a sister, Jane (Edwin) Hood of Wintersville, OH; and a grandson, Tyler (Brianna) Stillion.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Monogioudis, officiating. Private burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.

He was born February 9, 1968 in Steubenville, OH, a son of Donald R. “Rob” and Dixie (Ross) Casey of Brilliant, OH.
He was preceded in death by a son, Corey Casey.
Randy was a coal handler at the Mitchell Power Plant in Moundsville, WV. He enjoyed hunting with his best friend “Whitey” and watching football, especially high school football, when his daughter's cheered. He was a great man that raised and helped multiple children who needed it.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lyndi (Gardner) Casey, whom he married August 12, 2006; six children, Chase Gardner of Mingo Junction, OH, Jessi (Cody) Nelms of Brilliant, OH, Logan (fiancé Hailey) Dehnart of Brilliant, OH, Nash Dehnart of Mingo Junction, OH, Gianna Bellum of Mingo Junction, OH and Arianna Greathouse of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Michael (Kim) Casey of Mingo Junction, OH; two grandchildren, Paxton Nelms and Zylah Dehnart; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, Ohio on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at New Alexandria Cemetery on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Ater, officiating.

She was born March 7, 1956 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late E. Ralph and Florence “Priscilla” (Tarr) Dorrance.
Beth earned her Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, she then went on to earn her Radiology Technician Degree from Wheeling Hospital. She worked as an x-ray technician at the Belmont County VA Outpatient Clinic in St. Clairsville, OH. Beth was a very active member of the Georges Run United Methodist Church, where she played both the piano and organ for many years. She enjoyed gardening, animals, baking, cooking and most importantly she was very proud of her children.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Borsos, whom she married October 15, 1988; two daughters, Sherry (Joe) Carter, PA-C, a member of the US Air Force, and her grandson, Bjorn Carter, and Samantha Borsos, DVM of Cadiz, OH; and a sister, Julia Mae (Neil) Partridge of Mechanicsville, VA.
Friends will be received to celebrate her life at the Georges Run United Methodist Church, 1436 State Route 151, Mingo Junction, OH on Monday April 11th from 6:00 p.m. until the time of her celebration of life service at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Jimm Woods, officiating.

Glenn was a Long-Distance Truck Driver, retiring in 2012.  He then worked for Extreme Honda of Brilliant, for two years making deliveries.  Glenn spent several years in the Golden Dragon Kung-Fu Club, and was an avid collector of knives and guns.
Surviving are five sons, Glenn Brian Gardner of Chandler, NC, Keith (Kim) Gardner of Brilliant, OH, Charles Gardner of North Carolina, Ryan Gardner of Brilliant, OH, and Josh (companion Jessica Wicker) Gardner of Piney Fork, OH; a brother, Gary (Linda) Gardner of Brilliant, OH; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Helen was a devoted servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, a faithful and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was also a member of the Evangel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Pastor Bob Colvin, whom she married on August 25, 1958; two sons, Robert “Bert” (Christi) Colvin of Bloomingdale, OH, and Pastor Timothy Colvin of Follansbee, WV; a daughter, Misty Doty of Brilliant, OH; a daughter-In-law, Rebecca Colvin of Harrisburg, PA; and six grandchildren, Garrett (Abby) Colvin of Akron, OH, Michaela (Zach) Watkins of Bergholz, OH, Emily and Joel Colvin of Harrisburg, PA, Thomas (Emily) Doty of Lexington, KY and Wyatt Doty of Brilliant, OH.

Dean owned Fellows Insurance Agency in New Alexandria since 1998. He enjoyed taking care of his horses and mowing the grass. He also loved playing with his grandkids, they were his world.
Surviving are his wife, Vickie (Creamer) Fellows, whom he married May 18, 1991; three sons, Dean (Brandy) Fellows of Mingo Junction, OH, Craig (Jessica) Patterson of Mingo Junction, OH and Justin (Nicole) Patterson of Brilliant, OH; a sister, Debby Hauck and her companion Kenny Kourim, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister-in-law, Valerie Fellows of Brilliant, OH; and six grandchildren, Brooke, Mason, Matthew, Jaxin and Hailey Patterson and James Fellows.

He was born June 8, 1936 in Steubenville, OH to the late Stanley and Amy Jane Cherry Martin; husband to the late Myra Gaydosh Martin; father to the late James "Jeffrey" (Rhonda) Martin; and brother to the late Alice (Bill) Kuntz.
He is survived by his sister, Gladys (Richard) Toker; children Scott Martin, Lisa Martin and David (Kelly) Martin. He was a grandfather to Brittany Smith, Emily (David) Trimble, Stacey (Aaron) Dickey, Heidi (Ryan) Lemasters, Hannah Martin, Dylan (Casey) Czoka and Ellen Hanood and a great-grandfather to Addilyn, Evelyn and Aliannah Czoka, Penelope Lemasters, Grainger and Jocelynn Trimble.
Jim was retired from Weirton Steel. He served his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord. Served as councilman in Brilliant and Scout Master while his boys were in the Boy Scouts.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him including his companion Pretty Kitty.
We are grateful for the time, love and exceptional care given to him by his granddaughter Hannah.

Lenora was a waitress at the former Paddys Diner in Mingo and then worked as a cook at Dupont in Parkersburg, WV until her retirement. She was a member of the New Alexandria Methodist Church and the lunch bunch group at the church. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
Surviving are six children, Merrel (Dave) Slack of Weirton, WV, Pam (Butch) Sheets of Mingo Junction, OH, John (Cheryl) Gunn of Spartanburg, SC, Glenda (the late Wayne) King of Follansbee, WV, Ken (Carole) Gunn of Smithfield, OH, and Hope (Denny) Riggs of Canton, OH; a brother, Earvy “Doc” (Carol) Roe of New Alexandria, OH; a sister, Patricia (Ben) Beckett of Hopedale, OH; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Annette (Darrin) DePoy of Clayton, NC; a sister, Sherry Kolopajlo of Marysville, OH; three grandchildren, Steven Poling, Melissa DePoy and Josh DePoy; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Helene was a homemaker and enjoyed working the election polls. She graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1940 and was a member of the Brilliant Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her son, Craig (Becky) Ramsey of Irondale, OH; three grandchildren, Micah (Leslie) Ramsey, Luke (Jerrica) Ramsey and Katie (Brad) Martin; and six great-grandchildren, Quentin Shumard, Nate (Taylor) Ramsey, Amos Ramsey, Eliya Ramsey, Jonah Fogle and Bella Boniey.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with her grandson, Pastor Micah Ramsey, officiating. Private interment at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, OH.

Lynn retired in 2001 from Weirton Steel Corp where he was a crane operator. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Lynn was a member of the Georges Run Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer, car collector and most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Cathy (Tamburro) McCutcheon, whom he married on January 8, 1964; three children, Kelly (Michael) Hazlett of Utica, OH, Greg (Stacy) McCutcheon of Bloomingdale, OH and Amy McCutcheon and her fiancé Ken Haines of New Alexandria, OH; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Lynn (Stephen) Peters and Seth McCutcheon.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, Ohio where his funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jimm Woods, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery, with military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.

He was born June 11, 1939 in Brilliant, a son of the late Martin J. “Dubie” and Eleanor (Kerwood) Barrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Barrett and Martin J. “Jim” Barrett, Jr.
Bob served his country and retired after serving 20 plus years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a decorated Veteran serving during Vietnam. After serving our country he was a painter in Brilliant for 20 years.
Surviving are three children, Kim (Troy) Zimmerman of Cambridge, OH, Robert (Sheryl) Barrett, Jr. of Clearwater, FL and Carol (Mike) Germino of Weeki Watchee, FL; ten grandchildren; and an abundance of great-grandchildren.
He loved his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all that he touched in his life.
Graveside services will take place at the New Alexandria Cemetery on Tuesday January 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.

Obituary Preview: James Robert Wetherell, 80, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Tuesday December 14, 2021 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
He was born October 30, 1941 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late John Floyd Wetherell and Clarice (Ball) Wetherell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ross E. Wetherell, Sr.
Robert graduated from Brilliant Memorial High School in 1960. He served his country in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Division from 1964-1965, as a medic and was stationed in Germany. After the Army he became employed by AEP at the TIDD/Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, OH, where he worked for 39 years until his retirement in 2005. He also owned his own excavating business. He took care of many operations at the New Alexandria Cemetery where he spent countless hours for over 50 years. He became a New Alexandria Council member and later in 2014 he was elected the Mayor of New Alexandria, an office he still holds today. He was a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post 573; the Ohio Farm Bureau; and was a lifetime golden eagle member of the National Rifle Association.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Sophia (Janoski) Wetherell, whom he married on Nov. 17, 1973; two sons, Shane (Erica) Wetherell and Brent (Megan) Wetherell; a brother, John (Roxie) Wetherell; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Wetherell and Rhonda Hannan, all of New Alexandria, OH; nieces and nephews, Matt Wetherell, Lori (John) Ingram, Amy (Kevin) Browning, Ross Wetherell. Jr., Duayne (Monica) Wetherell, Tommy (Tonya) Ellis and Ryan (Danielle) Ellis; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic private services will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home and burial will take place at New Alexandria Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Brilliant American Legion Post 573.

He was born May 7, 1949 in Rayland, OH, a son of the late Carl R. and Lillian E. (Brown) Mossor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Matthew Mossor and an infant son Daniel Mossor; two brothers, Rodney Mossor and infant Glen Mossor; and three sisters, Hazel Silver, Carol Repka-Kensicki, and infant Dawna Mossor.
Cotton worked in Cleveland, OH as a window washer and then went on to work as a coal miner in Cadiz, OH. He graduated from Smithfield High School. Cotton was a member of the Rush Run Community Chapel, the Smithfield Masonic Lodge #182, the Dillonvale Eagles, and a social member of the Dillonvale American Legion. He volunteered for 15 years at the Smithfield Friends Food Pantry. He enjoyed playing cards, watching NFL and college football and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Katherine (Pizzo) Mossor; two children, Carla (Jason) Woodward of Rayland, OH and Brandi Mossor of Wintersville, OH; a step-son, Michael (Tara) Horner of Richwood, OH; two brothers, Pastor Kenneth (Carol) Mossor of Kidron, OH and Marvin (Lori) Mossor of Rushville, IN; two sisters, Sherry (Robert) Eltringham of Rayland, OH and Barbara (Franklin) Piatt of Steubenville, OH; six grandchildren, Ashlee and Alissa Woodward, Shaylyne and Kaleb Fenske, Aireonnia Myers and Jayden Mossor; several step-grandchildren; and his great-grand fur babies.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Green, officiating. On Wednesday there will be Masonic services at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Private interment at Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH.

Momma Goose, or MG, will be remembered as the life of the party, where there was never a moment that wasn’t filled with sarcasm or her intoxicating laughter.
She is survived by her father, Richard Pizzoferrato of Follansbee, WV; two daughters, Ashly Devore of Tiltonsville, OH and Devin Delauder of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Elionnah, Isaiah, and Jonee; a sister, Laura (Pizzoferrato) Johnston of Bergholz, OH; a brother, Jimmy Pahides of Mingo Junction, OH; and her loving boyfriend, Roger Lowe of Mingo Junction, OH.

Kevin worked for John’s Towing Service in Shippingport, PA. He was Christian by Faith. Kevin was a self-taught guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer, carpenter, mechanic, artist and comedian. He would give you the shirt off his back, if he had one. He was never afraid to share his opinion, which his father taught him well. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan, loved Garth Brooks and was a Trump supporter.
In addition to his mom, he is survived by a brother, Wm. Dean Childers, Jr. and his companion Marci Clyburn of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Deana (Scott) Childers-Cline of Brilliant, OH; six nieces and nephews, Dean Childers, III, Shay Childers, Noah Childers, Faith Childers, Nathan Cline and Jailyn Cline; two children whom he loved very much; his girlfriend of three years, Christen Wadatz of Midland, PA; and his cat, Lily.
A celebration of his life will he announced at a later date. He will be laid to rest next to his father at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton, WV.

After having her children, she went back to school to earn her degree from Ohio University Zanesville campus and became a registered nurse. She worked as a devoted, loving OBGYN NICU nurse.   Janice as a member of the Lovers Lane Church of Christ. Her happy place was in the kitchen where she would create the most delicious meals for her family and friends to enjoy. She also loved gardening, tending to her flowers and plants gave her much enjoyment. Janice was always known for her kind heart. She never left home without her hair and makeup exactly perfect and she sure loved her lipstick. She loved to read and spent a lot of time at the Brilliant Library and was a member of their book club. She also enjoyed riding her bicycle through Brilliant and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Heather (John) Antonetz of Zanesville, OH; her son, Grady Hamilton of Brilliant, OH; her twin sister, Janet (the late Tom) Fox of Brilliant, OH; her sister-in-law, Denise Kakascik of Brilliant, OH; eight grandchildren, Hunter, Addy, Aaron, Zack, Gracie, Haleigh, Kalley, and Avery; three great-grandchildren, Carrigan, Oaklyn and Auna; the father of her children, Greg “Boney” Hamilton of Zanesville, Oh; a special niece, Allison Fox; several nieces and nephews; and her special “family” neighbors, Morgan and Laurie Ensell and their children.

She was born May 22, 1924 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Harry and Flossie (Wells) Hoffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Cleda J. “Clete” Nuzum, on September 16, 2009; three sisters, Katherine Cottrell, Alice Moores, and Betty June Galloway; a brother, Harry Hoffman, Jr.; a grandson, Gregory Nuzum; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Jabo.
Frankie graduated from Wintersville High School in 1944. She was a retired registered nurse and was in the Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII. She was instrumental as a head nurse in opening the first 4 bed intensive care unit at the former Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville. After her retirement she and her husband Clete enjoyed traveling in their camper hitting all 50 of the states. They lived in Texas, California, Arizona and Florida until she returned to Steubenville in 2017. Frankie was a member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church and enjoyed painting when she was younger.
Frankie is survived by her daughter, Penelope “Penny” (Don) Brannon of New Alexandria, OH; her twin sons, Patrick (Janet) Nuzum of, Miamisburg, OH and Paul Nuzum of Follansbee, WV; her former daughter-in-law, Sheri Nuzum; eight grandchildren, Travis (Michelle) Brannon, Kristen (Jim) Light, Colleen Lacey Brannon, Melissa (Greg) Irwin, Michael (Kellie) Nuzum, Lisa (Greg) Haworth, Natalie (Frank) Maltese and Jason (Maria) Nuzum; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wintersville Methodist Church, 702 Main St., Wintersville on Monday November 15th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen, Jr. and her nephew Dr. James Cottrell, officiating. MASKS ARE REQUIRED at the church.
