The angels carried her home to eternal rest on April 14, 2022. She was converted at an early age at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Palmetto, Florida under the leadership of the late Rev. Dixon. She was educated in the public schools of Manatee County. She retired after working many years as a mail clerk for Manatee County Government. She was a loving, caring and strong willed woman that loved her children, grand-children, family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed life, shopping, looking good, and loved God. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. She was preceded in death by her Father, Wesley Lee Hopkins, Jr. and Mother, Sally Mae Dubose; Six Great-grands: A'monni Williams, Forrest Muller 3rd, 4th, 5th, Massari Muller, Forrest Muller 6th. Obituary Preview: Isaiah Dawsey was born August 25, 1936 in Gordon, Alabama to the late Edmon and Thelma Scott Dawsey. "Ike" as he was known to his family and friends was the 9th of 16 children. He attended public schools in Alabama and received his high school diploma from Lincoln Memorial High School in Palmetto, FL. He went on to receive a certification as an electrician. He was a compassionate, generous man, helping anyone who required assistance. He was passionate about working and saving money. "Go to work and put your money in the credit union for a rainy day,” was one of his favorite quotes. He enjoyed watching television especially sports, and animal channels. He was a football commentator to anyone who visited him during football season. His favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers. He made sure his children attended church when they were young to instill a strong faith when they became adults. Isaiah was baptized and received Christ as his personal savior as a youth at Triumph Church in Alabama. He worked several jobs when he moved from Alabama to Florida. His final job was with Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida where he worked 38 years. During his retirement he traveled and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Seabrooks Dawsey, son Michael Dawsey, and many family/friends. Obituary Preview: Tanga L. Mitchell a faithful and inspiring Servant of Jesus Christ was called home to Heaven to rest on April 6, 2022. Tanga L Mitchell was born on October 6, 1961 to the parents of Priscilla Robinson Love and Samuel Love in Bradenton, Florida. A woman of deep faith and high moral character. She valued her family, friends and loved ones. She was blessed by God to be a joyful giver of love, wisdom and peace. Tanga was a woman of little words, however, when she spoke with volume sincerity to the hearts of people that she loved. When she received and embraced Jesus Christ as her personal Savior her whole life changed. Her enriched gifts of greatness encouraged her to give faithfully to St. Judes Children Hospital to support children whom lives were impacted by cancer. This was her passion for over 20 years. She also enjoyed writing in her Daily Bread Journal as one of her other favorite hobbies. Praising and thanking God in her writings brought her a great deal of joy. Her hands were extremely anointed as she joyfully created crafting for her family for many years. He was an active and devoted Christian who loved the Lord and conducted himself in the true aspect of what a Christian should be. Some of Johnnie’s hobbies were fishing, gardening and cooking. Johnnie was preceded in death by “the love of his life” his wife, Lula; Son, Gary; father and mother, three sisters and three brothers. He retired from The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice after 33 years of dedicated service. He was a dedicated member of the State Security Department for the House of God Church for numerous years. He played a major part in the Church YFFU (Young Folks & Friends Union) on the local level. Robert was a person with a very humble spirit, many referred to him as a gentle giant. He was a mentor to many young people and when he spoke they listened. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Reginald Peterson and Morris Peterson; one sister, Doris Peterson. Luther Clark Jr - May 11, 1941 - March 23, 2022

Obituary Preview: Luther Clark, Jr. Born: May 11, 1941, in Seminole County, Donalsonville, Georgia. His parents were Luther Clark, Sr. and Mandy Washington Clark, He was the youngest child of seven. He attended Carthage House Elementary School and High School. In 1960, he attended Seminole County Training School and graduated twelfth grade. In 1976, he attended the Manatee Technical Vocational Institu- tion and received a certificate in small engine repair. He moved to Florida to continue his adult life in the 1960's and resided in Winter Garden, Florida doing citrus work. He was married to his first wife, Vera Clark and to this union a son, Torin was born. He was inducted into the United States Army and served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He re- ceived an honorable discharge as a Sergeant and a re- cipient of the Purple Heart of the United States. After he served his time in the Military, he moved to Palmet- to, Florida, Manatee County. He was raised in St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church Donalsonville, Georgia and was baptized. He served there until he relocated to Florida. He married his wife Mary in 1979 and shared a wonderful life together for thirty-five years. They joyfully raised their great-nephew, Justin child would love to have. He was a faithful and a dedicated member of Providence Missionary Bap- tist Church. He enjoyed his life visiting his daugh- ter, grandchildren and great grands for the Holidays and Special Days. His ultimate duty as a baby brother was calling his sisters Princetta and Martha daily and weekly to do his brotherly checkups. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and fellow workers, Jimmy Porter, Nate Porter and Mr. Bill. He started keeping cows for his friend Jimmy in 1994 and the blessing flowed and he became a personal owner until his health no longer allowed him to attend them around October 2021. He en- joyed taking vegetables and fruits to friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Clark, Sr., and Mandy Washington Clark; three sis- ters, Carrie Bell, Lovie Virginia, Ursula; one broth- er, B.C. Clark. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Terrye Haggins Jackson and one son, Torin Clark (Angela) and the great-nephew he raised, Justin Brown; two sisters, Princetta McCants, Martha Harvey; grandchildren, Ursula Keith, McKinley Keith, III (Juanita), Torina Clark and Jade Clark; great-grands, Carde Lucas, Camari Lucas, Niah Martin, Tier Green, Tamani Green, Khalia Green, McKayla Keith, McKinley Keith, IV, Mahlia Keith and his loving goddaughter Joquista Mazon and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In his last months of his life he was cared for and attended by his daughter, Terrye Haggins-Jackson. Deacon Horace Dozier Sr - May 03, 1943 - March 17, 2022

Obituary Preview: A Time to Be Born Deacon Horace Dozier, Sr. was born on May 3, 1943 to the late James and Massie Dozier. He is preceded in death by both parents and his youngest brother, Will Dozier. A Time To Serve Deacon Dozier accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev G. W. Jones. He was ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of the late Rev. Donny James. he humbly served in numerous capacities, but he committed himself to taking care of the finances of the church. He proved himself to be a man of truth, integrity and great moral character and became one of Pastor Lawson most trusted deacons. He also served many years as financial treasurer, Congress #3. A Time to Love On September 7, 1962 Deacon Dozier married his life partner, Rosetta Jackson-Sims. God blessed this union of 59 years with six children, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Time to Provide Deacon Dozier took pride in being able to provide for his family. He retired from Tropicana Products after 35 years. He also worked as a grave digger for the Parish Cemetery. He was featured in the awarding documentary “Deeper than the Grave” written by Duchess Joyce El. A Time to Depart Deacon Dozier lived life on earth as a man of few words ad calm demeanor it was no coincidence that he peacefully traded this earthly life surrounded by family to gain eternal life on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Raymond Full Gospel Church in Palmetto. She was a dependable and hard working employee for Manatee County Schools for more than 40 years. She built a strong bond with the teachers and students at Sugg Middle School where she worked most of her years of employment.
Jackie was devoted to her children and was there for anyone that needed her assistance in any way. You called, she came. She was a great cook, loved to bake, and was popular for her signature macaroni and cheese. She enjoyed being around her family and friends. And her presence filled the room with laughter and dance. When you met her, you did not forget her. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Rubin Davis Jr. and Felipse Davis; and sisters: Ruby Lee Cheaves and Jeanette Sailes
