Beckley; daughter, Peggy Joyce Beckley; parents, William Obed Gilmore and Gladys Mae Barber Gilmore; brother, Edward Gilmore; sisters-in-law, Toby Kilcrease, Gertie Mae Cook; and brother-in-law, JD Miller.
Marrillia is survived by her children, Billy Beckley and his wife Belinda of Columbia, LA., Janice Beckley Powell and her husband Ronnie of Holly Ridge, LA., Austin Beckley and his wife Lillian of Bremen, GA., Sarah Little and her husband Sid of Richton, MS., and Timothy Beckley and his wife Ruth of West Monroe, LA.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Urban and her husband Mickey and Theresa Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other cherished family and friends.

Tedeton, Gary Alan Carter and Robert L. Tremaine; and great-grandmother, Margaret Tremaine; great-grandparents, Roy and Fern Newberry.

James hobby was being a moderator for Namibia Cam, website for watching animals in the wild in Africa.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Diane Rector.
James is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Patricia Rector; daughter, November Chadwick; son, Andrew Strong and his wife Emily; 4 stepchildren, Michael (Susan) Williams, Casey (Krystal) Williams, Jason (Sonia) Williams, Jennifer (Vince) Grafton; 14 grandchildren, Adalynn, Charleigh, Owen, Olivia, Claire, Joe, Annie, Zoey, Seth, Payton, Max, Lily, Hayden and Hunter; his loving dogs, Gracie and Ginger, who miss him immensely; along with many other cherished family and friends.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Ronnie Tidwell; brother-in-law, Glen Tidwell of Downsville; brother, Bobby Hodge and his wife Beverly of Gardner, Kansas; nephews, Hugh Hodge of West Monroe, Jeffrey Tidwell of Biloxi, Mississippi; niece, Rebecca Tidwell of Belize; special sister, Reba Oneil of Pollock; special friends, Sherry and Renee Battaglia of Downsville; and her special furries, Diamond, Gracie and Max; along with many other cherished family and friends.

Ramsey, Sr. and mother, Aleta Patterson.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Reba Feazel Ramsey; son, Jared Ramsey and his wife Amanda and their children, Noah Brewster, Keaton Brewster, Emma Ramsey, Whitney Ramsey and Kasey Ramsey; daughter, Heather Gill and her husband Gabe Gill and her daughter Darby Miles; and great-grandchild, Hollyn Ramsey; and many other extended relatives and friends.

(formerly West Monroe, Louisiana), will be Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm in Feazel Chapel at First West Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Wayne transitioned to his eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He passed peacefully at home from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was born on March 1, 1938, in Bernice, Louisiana to Beatrice “Pat” Heard Tubbs and Luther Hammons Tubbs.
He was married to Gloria Jean Wasson in 1958. They were married for 66 years at the time of his death. Wayne attended school in Bernice, Louisiana where he graduated from high school in 1956. After graduation, he went to college at Louisiana Tech University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in 1959 and his Master of Science in Zoology in 1969. After receiving his first degree, he began his career in El Dorado, Arkansas at the Associated Pathologist Laboratory where he quickly worked his way up to be the Chief Medical Technologist and managed the lab for Dr. Kenneth Duzan for 33 years. After leaving El Dorado in 1994, they moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he worked for Infolab. In 1996 they moved to West Monroe, Louisiana where he finished his career doing marketing for Bayou Laboratory. His colleagues through the years thought highly of him. They said things about him such as, “he was the consummate professional,” “his interaction with people was in sincerity, kindness and integrity,” “his care for our clients was unsurpassed,” “he was a dedicated member of the team and a devoted friend,” “he was a passionate leader,” “Wayne helped shape me into the person I am today and helped me learn how to use God as the true guiding light - even at work.” He loved others well and they loved him well in return.
Wayne was a churchman to his core. He loved the Lord and his church, and he served his church wherever they lived. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas, then First West in West Monroe, Louisiana before moving to Springdale, Arkansas where he was a member at Cross Church in Springdale. For years, he and Gloria worked with young married adults and were always hosting them in their home. They became like adoptive parents to many of them. They also loved to do mission work with dear friends. They worked with Native American Indians in New Mexico, did Maritime Ministry in New Orleans,  Louisiana, and medical missions in Belize, Brazil and Mexico.
Wayne’s favorite pastime was baseball. He loved playing semi-pro baseball in his younger years and he loved watching his grandson, Adam play for ULM. He loved to hunt. He also enjoyed keeping his yard in immaculate shape as if it was going to be on the cover of a magazine every month.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald Tubbs and Glynn Tubbs.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Jean Tubbs; sons, Toby Tubbs (Linda), Tony Tubbs (Barbara); daughter, Terri Puckett (Larry); grandchildren, Seth Hallberg (Katie), Lauren Tubbs, Leslie Cain (Anthony), Micah Puckett (Kelsey), Betsy Woloszyn (Scott “Bo”), Rachel Wiley (Bruce), Emily Rosen (Michael Dibbs), Adam Tubbs; great grandchildren, Corbyn Hallberg, Katelyn Hallberg, Carsyn Hallberg, Aidan Cain, Riley Jo Puckett, Jordan Woloszyn, and Isabella Woloszyn.
Pallbearers will be: Seth Hallberg, Larry Puckett, Micah Puckett, Adam Tubbs, Bruce Wiley, Bo Woloszyn. Our sweet Bobbi Elizabeth Andrews made her entrance into this world at 10:45 P.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and left from this earth at 2:10 A.M. on Wednesday. May 1, 2024 in her parents arms.  She was absolutely beautiful, our little fairy princess, and looked just like her big sister.  She weighed ½ pound and was 7.5 inches long.  She was perfect and whole.  Her parents are very grateful for the time they got to spend with her.  She was Budded on earth to Bloom in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her Pop Pop, Bobby Sanford; Great-Grandmother, Mary Meeks; Great-Grandfather, Juan Gonzalez; Great-Grandparents, David and Mary Helen Andrews; and Cousins, Gage Meeks and Jake Porter.
She is survived by her parents, Slade and Morgan Andrews; siblings, Hudson and Scarlett Andrews; Grandmothers, Melissa Sanford, Amanda Andrews; Aunts, Lilly Meeks, Kylie Sanford; and Uncle, Kingston Fowler; Great-Grandparents, Mike and Anita Meeks, Mike and Kathy Sanford; Great-Great-Grandmother, Tomasa Gonzalez; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Special thanks to Dr. Dawn Pennibaker, Dr. Albert Diket and the rest of the labor and delivery staff at The Women’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He also enjoyed to hunt and fish.  Donald was a lover of gospel and country music and never forgot a lyric. He loved his family and was always ready to give to anyone in need. Donald was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Calhoun for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Nettie Bradshaw; sisters, Louginia Glass, Louise Manholland, Kathleen Eager, Thelma Gill, Linda Kay Mock, Mary Jane Copeland; and brother, Thomas Wade Bradshaw.

Mr. Moore was born July 25, 1934, in Roberline, Louisiana and went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2024.  He completed basic training at Fort Chaffe, Arkansas, in September of 1954, where he served as a mechanic in the Army for 8 years.  Mr. Moore retired from operating heavy equipment in Monroe.  He was a member of Harvest Church in West Monroe.  Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elsie Lee “Viola” Moore; and parents Peter and Mae Moore.
Mr. Moore is survived by his brother Johnny Moore; sons, Mike Brinson, Kenny Brinson and his wife Valerie; grandchildren, Chad Brinson and his wife Karen, Krissy Parker and her husband Mark, Brittany Brinson, Brandy Brinson, Brittany Golson Smith, Matthew Matherne, Van David Matherne, and Ally Matherne; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other cherished family and friends.

Obituary Preview: Nettie Mae Spurlock Semmes was born on October 4, 1926, in Downsville, LA, to the union of Ransom and Guthrie Spurlock.  She passed away on April 25, 2024, in Monroe, LA, at the age of 97.   She was a dedicated, kind, and loving mother and grandmother.  Her faith and her family were the most important parts of her life.  A graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and Monroe Commercial College, she was also a retired bookkeeper who took her work very seriously.
In addition to her parents as listed above, Nettie Mae was preceded in death by her four siblings and their spouses: Inez McGee (Harold), J.R. Spurlock (Minnie Ola), Thad Spurlock (Mildred), and Billie Ponder (Jack).  She was also preceded by her husband Leslie and his three brothers and their wives:  Robert K. Semmes, Sr. (Peggy), Bernard Semmes (Nell), and Thomas A. Semmes, Sr. (Irene); and great -granddaughter Cassidy Hatten.
Nettie Mae Semmes is survived by her two children, Laura Laverne Semmes Salguero (Diego) and Farrell Semmes (Rhonda); four grandchildren: Michael Brown (Rachel), Brandon Semmes (Teresa), Julian Semmes (Rachel), and Katy Volentine; 12 great-grandchildren: Jasper Brown, Oscar Brown, Annabelle Brown, Ayden Semmes, Brayden Semmes, Collins Semmes, Dalton Semmes, Ellie Ruth Semmes, Kallysta Volentine, Riley Volentine, Ava Hendrix, Jaxon Black; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
A long-time United Methodist, Mrs. Semmes was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.  Until she was about 90, she was active in United Methodist Women, serving as both a Local Treasurer and a District Treasurer.  She was an avid reader and an excellent cook.  She was especially known for her delicious made-from scratch cakes.
The family would especially like to thank Dr. Greg Green, Dr. Assad Mouhaffel, and their staffs for many years of excellent and compassionate care.  They would also like to thank the Pastor and Care Team of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until time of service.  Mrs. Semmes will be laid to rest at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe.  Officiating will be Rev. Hilda was born on December 29, 1930 in Jena, Louisiana, to Millard and Ruby Jones. She was the oldest of six children and left this life on April 20, 2024.
Hilda was a very talented seamstress who also loved to crochet both doilies and afghans. Her favorite pastimes were putting puzzles together, reading and working Word-Find books. She also was very active in the activities at The Guest House, which had been her residence for the last two years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Baugh; her parents; along with two brothers, Levon Jones and Frankie Jones; and brother-in-law, Roy Eady.
Hilda is survived by her daughter, Ilene Christy (Randy); grandsons, Kevin Christy and Kyle Christy (Alicia); great-grandchildren, Mason Kerr and Kimber Christy; two sisters, Wanda Eady, and Jenell Graham (Wade); brother, Waymond Jones (Kathy); numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.

She was a child of God and a wonderful lady full of grace.  Alice taught her children well.  She was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, grandaunt, great-grandmother, friend, teacher, worker, mentor, only to name a few of the hats she wore. Alice was a member of the Hyde Park Baptist Church (ABA) of West Monroe, LA, Insurance Woman’s Association, International Order of The Rainbow for Girls, and Order of The Eastern Star. She loved to read, sew, cross stitch, crochet, paint on ceramics, make and quilt, quilts, camping, swimming, and hiking.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold McCaskill; parents, Lola & Roy Sandifer; siblings, infant Sister Sandifer, Willie Lee & Vivian Sandifer, Gervase & Beth Sandifer, Royce Earl & Jerry Sandifer, Mary & Grover Watson, and Alton & Barbara Sandifer.

She was a sweet person with a good sense of humor and like to go out to eat at nice restaurants. Seleda made shopping a top priority. She loved her family very much and they will miss her. Kenneth was born on May 25, 1941 to Gabe Porter Sr. and Maxine Wilson Porter in Bastrop, Louisiana. He was the third of nine children and grew up in Bastrop and Bonita but spent most of his youth in Orange, Texas.
Kenneth was a member of First Assembly in West Monroe. Kenneth never met a stranger and definitely had the gift of gab. He loved the Lord and would gladly talk about Him to everyone. Kenneth also loved Southern Gospel Music and the last word he said was the name of “Jesus”.
Kenneth had a big heart and loved children. He loved to tell long stories fresh from his imagination and blowing the train whistle was a bonus. Kenneth also loved to deer hunt and going to the camp.
He drove a “big truck” for about 40 years and estimates driving about one million miles. Kenneth loved seeing the country and being a driver. He retired after many years in 2013 from MidSouth Extrusion. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy; son, Terry; brothers, Leon, Harold, and Ronnie Porter; sisters, Shirley Porter, Libby Graves; father and mother – in –law, Cecil and Bonnie Nall.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 ½ years, Cricket Nall Porter, married November 13, 1970 after dating for 2 years. He not only gained a wife but also a daughter, Tammy, who was 5 years old. Kenneth is also survived by the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Tanasha Varino and husband Richie and three more loves , great grandchildren, Dhayne, Sophie and Alyse Varino. His heart was also blessed many “adopted” kids, grands and great-grands; sister, Mary Lee Green (Glen); brother, Gabe Porter, Jr.(Janice); sisters – in – love, Merle Doggett, Glenda Porter, Trudy Porter; brother – in – love, Buddy Nall.
Pallbearers will be David Patterson, Brandon Coleman, Chris Coleman, Terry Coleman, Bobby Fife, and Daniel Fife. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Milton, Eugene Sutton, Robert Garrett, Popeye Richmond and the drivers he worked with through the years.

Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1321 North 7th Street, West Monroe, LA.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Nick Wagner.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, West Monroe, LA.  All services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Ellen was living in her home up until the last two weeks of her life.  She was born in Montrose, Mississippi on October 30, 1925, the youngest of ten children.  She was preceded in death by her nine siblings, one of whom was her beloved twin, Annie Helen.  Ellen loved to talk about her childhood in that small rural town; things like riding a mule to get the corn ground into meal, and she and her twin spending summers with her older sister Nila in Arkansas.
Ellen earned an Associate’s Degree in Education from East Central Mississippi Junior College, and worked for a while as a teacher’s assistant before deciding to be a full-time mom.  She was active for many years in the Claiborne Methodist Church.  Some of Ellen’s happiest times were spent meeting with her friends in the United Methodist Women.  She loved to read, loved Big Band music, loved to ride her bicycle, loved to work in the yard, and loved her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of over 51 years, Hugh R. Eley, Sr. (her beloved “Spec”) and her daughter-in-love, Deborah East Eley, as well as her nine siblings.  She is survived by her three children, Hugh R. Eley, Jr., Susan Norris and husband John, and Martha Eley.  Martha was her primary caregiver and companion for the last several years.   Ellen is also survived by three grandsons, Stephen Black, Daniel Black and wife Saffron, Michael Black and wife Kelli, and by four great-grandchildren, Veronica, Lorelai, Margot and Alex.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Black, Daniel Black, Michael Black, Hugh Eley, Jr., Paul Eley,  and James Eley, Jr.
