Juanita Bertucci - June 28, 1940 - March 23, 2023

Departed: 03/23/2023 (Russellville)
Obituary Preview: Juanita Bertucci, 82, of Russellville, Missouri passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 23, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of death. She was born on June 28, 1940 to Elga and Margaret Anderson.
Juanita was a very complex and talented woman. She was a woman of many ambitions, skills, and talents. Growing up in Centertown, she channeled the artistry and grace of being a majorette, but also possessed the stamina and strength to assist her family on their farm with the most grueling of responsibilities. Equal parts creativity, femininity, and responsibility would follow her throughout her life. Furthermore, her commitment to caring for others would also be a part of her nature until her death and now in her legacy.
Juanita graduated from Russellville High School where she met her husband Michael Bertucci. They were married on September 3, 1957. These two individuals came from similar family dynamics and responsibilities, and yet two wildly, different worlds. Juanita grew up in a small town on a farm, her husband Mike came from the big city of Chicago. Their differences and strengths ultimately made a perfect partnership and a 65 year marriage. Juanita would always be found beside her husband, supporting him in his equally, vast array of talents and was deeply prideful in her actions and her commitment to him as his wife. They both lifted each other in life and believed wholly in their happiness, interests, and work. Her proudest accomplishment in her marriage were her two children.
Juanita was an excellent mother who fully committed to her role throughout her life and as a grandmother and eventual, great grandmother. She made each day of all of her children’s lives better in every way. Juanita was an extremely nurturing and thoughtful mother. All the while, she also implemented strength in each of her children. She was a very, strong woman, both emotionally and physically and that was important for her to instill and reflect in those around her. She was a woman of a time of homemakers, but she was so much more than a homemaker. She had many roles in her life and surpassed all expectations set for herself through her immense dedication, strength, and heart.
Outside of her steadfast gift of mothering, Juanita remained busy with an array of hobbies that fulfilled her creative nature. Juanita was a decorator, a gardener, a painter, and an artistic creator of so many things. She created the things she wanted in her life, learn to acquire or build them, and everything she invested in was beautiful. During the holidays you would find her yard adorned with hand cut and painted, wooden sculptures illuminated with lights. In the warm months, there would be flowers all around and bountiful fruits and vegetables of her choice. She had a vision for creating beauty in and around her home and she shared this with her husband, children and friends. Of all of her many creative outlets, her cooking is one of the most treasured by all, especially her cakes. Juanita was known for her delicious and elegantly crafted cakes. These cakes were presented to her children, her grandchildren, friends, and were a fixture of many local weddings throughout the years. She made them thoughtfully and uniquely for each person and was a passion of hers in her life.  This sweet and simple gift was beloved by her friends and family and allowed her to connect with and give back to her community.
All the while Juanita was working tirelessly to be a brilliant mother, wife, and friend of her community, you would also find her working tirelessly outdoors. A true country woman, this was a place she also loved and thrived. She could cut down trees, dig fence posts, heard cattle, and landscape all without support. Even still, a dinner would be prepared by 5PM to share with her family. She enjoyed the work and she was fulfilled by the responsibilities and precedent she set for herself. Up to her passing, Juanita longed to be outside and was even shown picking up sticks in her front yard and admiring the sunset over the family pond. Again to say this woman possessed both a regal softness and incredible strength harmoniously is an understatement. She always put others first, but in her artistry and creativity she found herself and peace within. Her contributions and gifts to her family and community will always be remembered. Her artistry and creativity will live on in her creations and be shared by her loved ones. Her delicate balance of femininity and strength will always inspire those that knew and loved her and has set an example for all as people and women. Juanita is loved greatly by her family and friends, and will be deeply missed and remembered. Her legacy will be unmatched by many, but always honored still. As a fiercely devoted mother, wife, friend, and woman, Juanita will enter the Kingdom of God for her lifelong work of kindness, purity, and community.
Juanita is proceeded in death by her mother and father and her brothers, Cecil Anderson and William Anderson, and grandson Anthony Bertucci. She is survived by her sister Sharon Murphy and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Michael Bertucci and her two children, Robert Bertucci (Lori) and Susie Henson (Stanley). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Derek Henson (Nicole), Brandon Bertucci, and Cole Henson (Kaylyn Bopp). Her legacy lives on with her great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Bristol, and Pacen and countless, treasured friends and neighbors.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Friends will be received from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Weber-Millard Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Weber-Millard Funeral Home, Friday, March 31, 2023 with burial to follow at Enloe Cemetery.

Departed: 02/17/2023 (Russellville)
Obituary Preview: Alice Harriet “Ann” Bernskoetter-Lehman, 83, of Lohman, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her daughters. She was born on July 28, 1939 in Cole County, Missouri; a daughter to the late Oscar and Josephine (Wekamp) Schenewerk. On October 26, 1957, she was united in marriage to Richard Bernskoetter and of this union raised three daughters. He preceded her in death on August 09, 2012. She married Lawrence Lehman in May of 2013, who survives at their home.
Alice Ann attended Saint Martin’s Catholic school and went on to be the first graduating class of Helias High School in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Alice Ann was known for her caring heart and generosity to family, friends and several charities. She was always willing to lend an ear or offer some of her no-nonsense advice. When her daughters were in grade school, she coached them in softball and took many band trips. Alice Ann was very active in church activities and helping each year with the festivals and being a part of the quilting circles. She loved helping with the CYO youth groups especially chaperoning their many trips. In her retirement years, she volunteered as a lunch aide at St. Martins Catholic Church.
Working was second nature to her whether it was through her long-lived career in healthcare or early years of fostering children.
Alice Ann worked for Fabic & Company and Mid-State Foods earlier in her career, and then joined Naught-Naught Agency. She later went on to work for Dr. Philo Su as an office assistant and medical charting and transcriptionist. As the transcription field grew, she later joined Capital Region Medical Center before joining SSM Health Center where she retired as a medical transcriptionist after serving 35 years with them.
Alice Ann enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bingo, reading, sewing, fishing, quilting, knitting, solitary and watching the Hallmark and game show channels although her greatest memories were made with her family. Her grandchildren were her "everything.” She was the anchor of our family.
Throughout her life she was an inspiration and example to all of our family. We owe her the most heartfelt debt any family could owe to their mother. For her love, affection, guidance, understanding was a life well lived and nurtured beyond comparison. The profound sorrow by many over the death of her death is an inspiration and example to our family.
