Obituary Preview: Memorial services for Elizabeth Ann Dunavant will be Monday, December 20, 2021, at 12 noon at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North, located at 7774A Hwy 39 North in Meridian. Interment will follow in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery. CH(LTC) Jason Bird will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dunavant, 45, of Little Rock, MS, died Tuesday, December 7th,2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy, debilitating battle with West Nile disease.
At 18 years old, Liz joined the United States Marine Corps where she was an air traffic controller. After her discharge, she continued as an air traffic controller in the civilian world for almost 20 years. She was extremely proud of her military service and was an avid supporter of the military and veterans. She had a very kind and generous heart and would give you the shirt off her back, if you needed it.  She also loved growing flowers and raising all sorts of pets from stray dogs and cats to chickens and you name it.
She is survived by her husband Cliff Dunavant; her children April Nicole Edwards (Cory), Hailey Rebecca Flake (Austin), Ethan Hunter Dunavant and William Levi Dunavant; grandchildren Reylee Edwards, Harper Flake, Satcher Edwards, and Hayden Flake; her mother Sue Demeritt; sister Chrissy Libby; brothers Ryan Demeritt, Jody Demeritt, Jamie Demeritt; niece Riley Demeritt and nephews Hunter Libby, Nathan Libby, Garrett Libby and Troy Demeritt.
She was preceded in death by her father Frank Demeritt.
