Marilyn J Moser - June 10, 1941 - November 24, 2022

Departed: 11/24/2022 (Wantagh)
Obituary Preview: Marilyn J. Moser was born on June 10, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to Helen and Louis Casino. She was sister to Lorraine R. Cali.
Framing our grief through the frame of gratitude our beloved mother passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2022.
During her 81 years of life, Marilyn was a graduate of James Madison HS, in Brooklyn NY who then attended cosmetology school to become a professional colorist at a hair salon in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.
Years later, she worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. then went on to marry Charles E. Moser and start a family. She managed a home, raising her 5 children and became a grandmother of 8 and a great grandmother of 4.
She honed in on her love for children and for clothing by starting a new career as a clothing Buyer for Denny's Children's Wear. She spent her retirement years continuing her generosity to the community by volunteering at NYC Department of Education Public School 254 in Brooklyn, NY.
As we celebrate her journey, we remember that her creativity included needlepoint, artwork and her love of writing letters by hand on fancy stationery with elaborate seals for the lucky recipient. Her wanderlust and passion for boating brought her to all of her favorite coastal New England towns in America and abroad where she collected antiques and fashionable clothing.
Marilyn's favorite epic movies satisfied the history buff in her with Dr. Zhivago, Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur, and Lawrence of Arabia. To broaden her amazing wealth of knowledge and to enhance conversations, a day wouldn't pass without a few hours of NOVA, Finding your Roots, Great Performances or Thirteen Specials on PBS Channel 13.
While the Italian tenor Andrea Boccelli brought joy to her heart, old blue-eyes Frank Sinatra always brought a smile to her face. Marilyn always looked forward to spending her favorite holidays, Easter and Christmas with family, celebrating with gourmet meals she prepared and including delicious chocolate desserts, all while her iced coffee was never out of arms reach. From geraniums to roses, a spring season was an indication of a new beginning each year as she expressed her love for planting and beautifying her garden with new flowers for Mother's Day, then hearing the sound of the bugler as she watched the Kentucky Derby and Triple Crown Races. If you knew her, you knew she was always a fan of the long shot! A true extension of the kind of person she was, a loving, inspiring supporter to anyone in need, who never expected anything in return. She raised her children to give everything their very best at all times, to never ever give up hope, but to accept reality!
Marilyn is survived by her beloved life partner, Donald Dong who was loyally at her side through life and at the time of her passing. Her son, Craig Rogers, daughters Kim Beyer, Christina Moser DeMayo and Son-in-law Peter DeMayo, and daughter Kerri Moser and her Fiancee Christine Reuss. Her Grandchildren, Charlie, Samuel and Lilly Sloves, Grace Beyer, Daniel, Tyler, Amanda and Nicholas Rogers.
Her Great Grandchildren include; Nora, Sophia, Logan and Scarlet Rogers.
Friends wishing to honor Marilyn are invited to make a donation in her name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Gerard “Jerry” Rosalia - May 22, 1931 - July 29, 2022

Departed: 07/29/2022 (Wantagh)
Obituary Preview: ROSALIA - Gerard (Jerry) of Levittown passed away on July 29, 2022 at the age of 91. Jerry is survived by his beloved children Stephen (Joanne), Paul (Shellie), Annette, and John. He is the proud grandfather of Keri, Stefani (Matthew), Kimberly (Matthew), Johnathan, and Nicholas. Jerry is also the cherished ‘Pop Pop' of his great-grandchildren Giana, Jocelyn, and Anthony. Many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews are also saddened by his passing. He now joins his wife Patricia and grandson Mathew in eternal rest.
His devotion to his family and friends was only matched by his dedication to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Bernard Conference, as well as the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church parish.
After attending Champlain College, Jerry was called to military service. He received an honorable discharge from the Unites States Army after serving his country during the Korean War.
In addition to being an entrepreneur in the floral industry, Jerry held many prestigious positions in several trade organizations at both the national and local level. Most notable were Regional Chairman of FTD and Director for the Long Island Retail Florist Association.
Jerry loved to drive, always found a reason to visit family and friends, and was an avid fan of his beloved NY Mets. Although in his later years he developed an appreciation for soft-rock and other popular music of the 60s and 70s, his ear was mostly drawn to big-band jazz and a variety of vocalists - Frank Sinatra being a favorite.
Gerard will be reposing Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Wantagh Abbey Funeral Homes, Wantagh, NY. The funeral mass will be 9:30AM at St. Bernard's R.C. Church, Levittown, NY. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. Donations to the Parish Social Ministry of St. Bernard Church will be greatly appreciated.
