Fay June Roberts - June 14, 1947 - March 21, 2024

Departed: 03/21/2024 (Corona)
Obituary Preview: Fay June Roberts Loving Wife, Mother and Meme
Fay June Roberts passed away on March 21, 2024, in Riverside CA. on June 14, 1947, to Lloyd and Margaret Reynolds. Why die the saints? Why, because their bodies must be changed ere they can enter heaven. “Flesh and blood” as they are “cannot inherit the kingdom of God.” A divine change must take place upon the body before it will be fit for incorruption and glory, and death and the grave are, as it were, the refining pot and the furnace by means of which the body is made ready for its future bliss. …Charles H. Spurgen Each Life Is A Miracle, and we ALL are a miracle…unique in our own ways, in the heart and soul and inner gifts we share throughout our days…
And Fay June Roberts (Reynolds) was a miracle whom no one can replace.
GOD gave us ALL special memories that time cannot erase. . .
Today we are here to glorify GOD and tell of his many wonders that surrounded Fay.
Fay was born June 14, 1947, at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. She lived many places as her father was in the military.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Winard Reynolds, Father, Margaret Ann Reynolds (Jowers), Mother, and Lloyd Winard Reynolds, Jr., Brother.
As you all know, Fay June was a child of a military family, and because of that, the Reynolds, Sr. family traveled to many and different areas of the country.
Because of the many times that the family moved, she attended schools in different states, such as Hawaii, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Georgia.
While living in Lawton, OK, she graduated from Eisenhower High School-1965.
As her parents moved on and to Atlanta, GA, she met and married Ray Roberts, and had two children: Margaret and Tyson.
Fay worked most of her work outside of the home at Power Enterprise in Fullerton, CA. She always told me that Mrs. Wonmi Kwon, the owner, was the best employer anyone could hope to work for. Fay passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 p.m., Riverside Hospital in Riverside, CA
Her passing was sudden and unexpected. She experienced a severe stroke, which resulted in an emergency operation on an artery, then she went into a coma. She never came out of the coma.
Fay is survived by; her husband of over 50 years, (Ray), 2 adult children, (Margaret and Tyson) and 2 grandchildren (Kylie and Alexis), all living in CA. One sister, Janice living in AL. INTERESTS: Fay had a lot of interests:

• She loved spending time with family, especially around the holidays.
• He loved spending time with her sister…each birthday was usually in Las Vegas…and her sister was another choice such as weekends away for girl time…One year was spooky time as Knotts Berry Farm.
• She loved cooking meatloaf. • I KNOW FOR SURE;
• She loved her family. • She loved her children and grandchildren, and was always telling stories about them,
• She loved her Mother and Dad, sister, brother and all her uncles and cousins. • She loved the United States of America and GOD,
• AND…. • She loved coffee, • She loved cake, • She loved breakfast out with Ray,
• And again, She loved her family.
NOW SHE IS in the LOVING ARMS OF OUR LORD.
May we always remember the moments and talks that we shared with her. As you think of moments, please share them with us as we continue this fellowship today.
Her wish was to be cremated upon dying.
GOD BLESS US ALL AND OUR FAMILIES AS WE CONTINUE ON OUR OWN JOURNEY. Memorial Service will be: Fri., 4/19 Mem. Service Fri., 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Walker Family Funeral Services 815 S. Main Street Corona, CA 92882

Anne Josephine Morettini - July 23, 1941 - December 31, 2023

Departed: 12/31/2023 (Corona)
Obituary Preview: Anne J. Morettini obituary. Anne Josephine Bruno Morettini, age 82, was called home in true “Amma fashion” just in time to give her “honey” a kiss at midnight on December 31, 2023. She made sure we wouldn’t be able to forget 123123. She was born on July 23, 1941, the daughter of Nicholas P. Bruno and Loretta Bruno. She spent her early years in Erie, Pennsylvania where
she graduated from St. Benedict’s Academy. She met the love of her life, Gabriel Morettini in Erie where she married him after his term in the Army on April 29, 1961. Anne gave birth to her first son Gabriel Anthony Morettini in 1962. Soon after, they moved to California where her second son Mark Anthony Morettini was born in 1963. They purchased their first home in Corona, CA in 1964
where their family was complete with the arrival of their third son Joseph Anthony Morettini in 1965. Anne was a devoted mother spending 1962-1975 focused on caring for her family. As her children were getting older, she felt the calling of higher education and soon graduated from the Riverside Community College nursing program in 1977 and began her nursing career at Riverside General Hospital. 1978 would bring a new move to their home in Norco, CA where they would live the rest of their lives. Anne completed her career as an RN at
Riverside County Hospital in Moreno Valley, CA where she retired in 2005. Family was everything to this strong, determined and feisty Italian mama. She lived to spoil everyone in her family from children, to grandchildren, to great grandchildren. All she cared was that we were doing our best. She spent countless hours making sure everyone had blankets she would tirelessly crochet with the attention to detail of a expert marksman. She would go toe to toe with anyone willing (or not sometimes) to debate any subject. She was
our challenger and our fierce advocate who pushed us all (at her own expense sometimes) to our highest potential. She always had an open lap, even to the adults. We could sit there, get a back scratch and no matter what the
circumstances, you just knew everything was going to be alright. We all miss her horribly.
Anne was preceded in death by her brothers Nicholas J. Bruno and Anthony Bruno and her sister Joanne Burke. She is survived by her children Gabriel, Mark and Joseph Morettini and their wives Barbara, Kimberly and
Deborah and 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A link to the website can be found at www.walkerfamilyfunerals.com where family and loved ones are welcome

Robert Joseph Gonzales - December 07, 1973 - December 07, 2023

Departed: 12/07/2023 (Corona)
Obituary Preview: After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt addressed the U.S. congress. He began His speech with a powerful declaration saying: Yesterday, December 7, 1941-a date that will live in infamy…
On December 7, 1973, Robert Joseph Gonzales was born to Robert Gonzales and his wife Mary Ann. From that day forward, his father became known as Big Bob and Robert Joseph would forever become Little Bobby. I used to tease little Bobby every year on his birthday by pretending that I had forgotten what day it was. Every December 7th he would ask me if I remembered what day it was. I would tell him it was Pearl Harbor Day and he would get all frustrated. That was our fun little ritual until December 7, 1993 when Big Bob passed away. Little Bobby’s birthday became a bittersweet occasion for him after that because of his father’s death. Last week on December 7, 2023, our little Bobby went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with Big Bob and so many others that he loved and who loved him. The Lord graciously came for him and he left us with no suffering or struggle and we are grateful for that. December 7th is a day we will always remember.
Bobby is survived by his brothers Carlos and Arthur, his mother Mary Ann and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Our family wishes to thank all those who came to see Bobby in the hospital. We also want to express our appreciation to Ben, Bobby’s case worker at Inland Regional Center who was with him when he became ill. In closing, we thank Cissy and Bree, the amazing staff at Walker Family Funeral for their help during this difficult time.

Robert Lee Heer - June 24, 1933 - October 16, 2023

Departed: 10/16/2023 (Corona)
Obituary Preview: Robert Lee Heer June 24,1933
Robert Lee Heer,“Bob”, of Corona, California died peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 16, 2023.
Robert was born in Upland, California to Emerson Heer, and Glendell Heer (Hale). His early childhood was happily spent discovering nature’s wonders in the orange groves of San Antonio Heights, Upland, California. Robert and his brother, Hubert Heer (predeceased, 2009) and their parents lived in a small, country house his father earned as Caretaker of citrus groves on the property.
WWII began to effect his young life when at 7 years old frequent blackouts and alarms would occur throughout Southern California. He recalled the abrupt departure of a childhood Asian American friend, later learned his friend’s family were forced to relocate as a direct result of the war. As their country recovered from the Great Depression now faced war, Robert’s family struggled on multiple fronts.
Robert’s parents divorced when he was 11 uprooting his family, prompting frequent moves. Lessons of survival often took precedent over classroom lessons. After his father left, his mother found a job and a single room in a boarding house, which didn’t allow children. As a result Robert and his brother were given shelter living in the tower at the newly built Cable Airport for more than a year. Robert commuted on the back of a scooter with his brother to their mother’s residence for daily meals, and to school. Amidst the turmoil of his home-life on the ground, Robert spent a lot of time in the skies above flying with experienced pilots many of whom flew in the war. One of his earliest instructors was a veteran “WASP” (Women Air Force Service Pilot). Robert “soloed” as a pre-teen. Aviation filled his childhood dreams as he indulged in a short plane ride at an airshow, watched planes from tree tops, and saw the expansion of a nearby airport, that would later become his home. During this traumatic phase of life, flying became his saving grace.
Robert attended Upland Elementary, Upland Jr High, and Chaffey High School. He later attended Mt. San Antonio and Fullerton Colleges.
While still in high school, at age 17, Robert enlisted in the US Army, Infantry, specializing in technical communications capacities. As a Corporal, he served overseas on active duty near Kimpo AFB, Southern Korea. He was honorably discharged at 20 years old as a Sergeant. After 3 years in the army, his experiences permanently impacted his life. He enjoyed sharing both the good and bad lessons and experiences in the military with family and friends.
Robert married JoAnn October 11, 1954 after his military service. They lived in Orange County in various apartments, and fulfilled a common goal in 1958 buying a home and settling in Fullerton, CA, where Bob and JoAnn raised their 3 daughters. Bob was a loving father, coach, outdoor enthusiast, instructor, and supportive husband. He found family time and coached softball for many seasons. Win or lose, at seasons end, he offered each player on the team a plane ride including a brief lesson and log book. He joyfully shared his passion for flying to empower others. He recognized and identified especially with those living in tumultuous circumstances and always bet on the “underdogs”. In retirement, he volunteered as a mentor to boys at risk through the Corona Police Department. Robert’s devotion to his wife, compassion for those in need, and integrity through his word, respect, and actions was part of who he was.
Robert’s work experiences reflected his versatile and self-taught talents including sales, injection molding, drafting design, and flight instruction. His love of flying was apparent from a young age. It motivated him to work part-time and weekends to study and earn the certifications needed to fly various aircraft. While doing so, he also supported his family while JoAnn cared for young kids, returned to college, and launched her teaching career. Robert always allowed time to enjoy the outdoors, visiting national parks, and sharing his appreciation for nature with his family and friends.
Robert and JoAnn moved to Corona in 1988. Soon after, a hangar at Corona Airport became his second home. He enjoyed the camaraderie with other pilots and students along with instructing at Coyote Vintage Aviation. He logged 10,000 hours of flight time, enjoyed restoring 3 different aircraft including his Cessna 172, and became dear friends with many former students.
Robert was smart, hardworking, engaging, and unpretentious. He accepted everyone as they were. He was loved by his devoted wife, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. He enjoyed his 90th birthday at a celebration staged by all of his grandkids and spouses. Memories captured the joy of the moment and reflect the fulfillment of Robert’s life legacy. Those who knew him, may draw comfort knowing he has flown home.
Robert is survived by JoAnn Heer (Aas), his wife with whom he recently celebrated 69 years as married partners. Together they had raised three daughters Cheryl Putnam (Heer), Cindy Lee Bohl (Heer), and Carla Jo Max (Heer). They helped raise two granddaughters Vanessa Putnam, and Veronica Putnam, and enjoyed their role as grandparents to all 6 surviving grandchildren. They are Morgan George (Bohl), Connor Bohl, Logan Max, Lauren Max (Shariff), Vanessa Putnam (Latimer), and Veronica Putnam. Sons-in-law, the late Dan Bohl, surviving son-in-law Dana Max, grandsons-in-law Kristov George, Zander Latimer, and Michael Shariff, including his sister-in-law Margaret Heer, and many nieces and nephews, will always remain part of his beloved family.
A private burial will be held at a later date, and his memorial will be located at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
