Montoya, maternal grandmother Meriam Munnerlyn,
She is survived by her daughter Faith Allison Baird of Springer, Paternal grandmother Elvira Montoya of Springer, Maternal grandfather Loyd Munnerlyn of Corrales, NM, Mother Denise Munnerlyn of Parker, CO, Father Joe Amador Montoya and wife Dee Dee of Springer, Aunt Sarah Maddaleni of Raton and uncle Lee Munnerlyn of Farmington, NM. Step sister Raena Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, two step brothers, Matthew Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM and Thomas Gonzales and wife Samantha of Tijeras, NM. One nephew T.J. Gonzales, two nieces Aspen and Eva Gonzales her beloved dog Bear and numerous cousins and friends.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer recited by Frank Cimino Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday September 22, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements and celebration of Love for Kayla T. Montoya are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.

Obituary Preview: Quintana, David Christopher David Christopher Quintana, 47, died June 19, 2016, with his family and friends at his side in Albuquerque, New Mexico. David was born January 24th, 1969 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Laudente T. and Rebecca Quintana. His dad was the Postmaster and is now the Mayor of Wagon Mound. His mother is a homemaker. David graduated Valedictorian from Wagon Mound High School in 1987. After graduation he got an Associate Degree from Luna Vocational School. After working a few years as lab tech, he went to the University of New Mexico and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology on December 19th, 1998. He continued on at UNM and received a Doctor of Medicine on May 12th, 2007. David led an active life. His interests included family get-togethers, helping others, hunting, making jewelry, playing his guitar, cooking, target shooting, playing chess, watching the Simpson's, going to concerts, riding the quad-runner, fishing, photography, and countless other activities. David was active in politics and was planning a big party in Wagon Mound for Bean Day. Even with all of these interests, he devoted much of his time to be with his pride and joy, his daughter Mariska. David is survived by his daughter Mariska Fey; his mom and dad; brothers, Laudente "Shunie" and wife Barbara, John "Bamm Bamm" and Kathleen Bessman, Manuel "Beit" and Keyna; and his sisters Minerva, Geralyn and husband Michael Doe, Mary "Chaca" and Chris Martinez, Teresa "Tese", Quenna "Pebbles" and husband Erik Sparks; his best friend Michelle Quintana and his friend Cindy Hillsey. He is also survived by his aunts Viola Gonzales and Helen Trujillo; his special cousins, including Santiago, Jose, Rebecca and Crystal LeDoux; his special nieces and nephews, Erik, Jourdan, Aubree, Aden, Alba, Katrina, and Kayleen. Also, acknowledgment to David's extended family and dear friends who helped us through this tragedy. He was preceded in death by his nephew J.C. Quintana-Trujillo. A memorial service will he held for David at the Wagon Mound High School gymnasium in Wagon Mound, New Mexico at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon, June 25th, 2016.
