Jerry was born on March 8, 1956, in Buchanan County, to the parents of the late Carson Justus and Lucy May Justus of Hurley, Virginia. Jerry was a member of the New Beginning In Jesus Name Church, Hurley, Virginia. He loved the great outdoors and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Carson and Lucy Justus, Jerry was preceded in death by his half- brother, Raymond Justus and half-sister, Josie Lynchfield.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his devoted wife of thirty-nine years, Glenda Gail Cline Justus of Hurley, Virginia; one son, Christopher Justus of Grundy, Virginia; one special daughter, Deidra Justus of Grundy Virginia; two granddaughters, Adrian and Aubree Justus both of Grundy, Virginia; five brothers, Harold Justus of Hurley, Virginia, Joe Junior Justus and wife Juanita of Hurley, Virginia, Grover Justus and wife Linda of Hurley, Virginia, Claudie Justus and wife Stella of Hurley, Virginia, and Donald Justus of Tazewell, Virginia; four sisters, Shirley Baugh of Belfast, Virginia, Charlene Justus of Hurley, Virginia, Louise Jackson of Hurley, Virginia, and Barbara Stiltner and husband Randy of Hurley, Virginia; and special friends, Lonnie and Connie Williamson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
There will be a visitation and service for Jerry Lee Justus on Sunday, May 19, 2024, 7:00 P.M. and Monday, May 20, 2024, 7:00 P.M. at the New Beginning In Jesus Name Church, Hurley, Virginia, with Wilburn Dotson and Tommy Conn officiating. The family will receive friends both evenings at 6:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at the New Beginning In Jesus Name Church, Hurley, Virginia, with burial to follow at the May Branch Cemetery, May Branch Road, Hurley, Virginia.

Shelby was born on April 4, 1939, to James Alex Davis and Stella (Fletcher) Davis of Roseann, Virginia, and lived her life in Buchanan County. She was the widow of James E. “Jim” Stacy of Grundy, Virginia.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William E. “Bill” Davis of Anchorage, Alaska; Clyde Davis and Earl Davis, both of Grundy, Virginia.
Shelby was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a talented artist and a gifted photographer. She enjoyed being a homemaker, bowling, traveling, and being a healthcare worker. She took classes in art and ceramics, was a patron of the Buchanan County Library, and enjoyed seeing friends at the Grundy Post Office.
Shelby will be remembered most by her immediate family: daughters, Debbie (Leon) VanDyke, Abingdon, Virginia, and Denise (Rick) Fisher, Durham, North Carolina; grandchildren, Stacey (Anthony) VanDyke-Hackney, Greenville, South Carolina, and Rusty (April) VanDyke, Abingdon, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Haley (Gunnar) Dowell, Piney Flats, Tennessee, and Bryton (Jenna) VanDyke; and great-great-granddaughter, Jovie Blake VanDyke of Bristol, Tennessee.
A service to honor Shelby’s life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, 3222 Slate Creek Road, Grundy, Virginia, with Shea Shrader officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, 32350 Riverside Drive, Big Rock, Virginia, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Danny was born on November 26, 1950, in Buchanan County, Grundy, Virginia, to the parents of the late Clyde Radford Stiltner and Ocie Mae Looney Stiltner. Danny was a retired heavy equipment operator of thirty plus years in the strip mining industry. Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member and Deacon of Harman Freewill Baptist Church for forty-two years. He enjoyed singing and playing music for the Lord. Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting with his son and grandsons.
In addition to his parents, Clyde and Ocie Stiltner, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lena Marie Stiltner Charles and one infant grandson, Tyler Brett Stiltner.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife of fifty-two years, Judy Ann Sparks Stiltner of Grundy, Virginia; one son, Danny Dwayne Stiltner and wife Tonya of Grundy, Virginia; and two grandsons, Joshua Caleb Stiltner and wife Hannah of Whitewood, Virginia, and Justin Allen Lester and wife Chasity of Oakwood, Virginia; one great-grandson, Remington Brett Stiltner; two great-granddaughters, Abbie Grace Lester and Chloe Lester; two brothers, Donnie Wayne Turner of Pulaski, Virginia, and Donald Lee Stiltner of Mocksville, North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a visitation and song service for Danny Ray Stiltner on Thursday, May 9, 2024, 7:00 P.M. at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church, Harman, Virginia, with Eddie Wilson, Jackie Wright, and Rodney Stiltner officiating. The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M.

James was born on December 3, 1948, in Buchanan County, Hurley, Virginia, to the parents of the late Robert Carl Estep and Juanita Blanche Hensley Estep. He was self-employed in the coal mining industry and an entrepreneur. He was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Church of Jesus at Grundy, Virginia. He had served as chairman of the Buchanan County Republican Party. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. James loved spending time with his grandchildren and helping others.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Juanita Estep, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Estep; and one brother, Kenny Estep.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife of fifty-four years, Vivian Vandyke Estep of Grundy, Virginia; one daughter, Jennifer Hanks and husband Kenny of Salem, Virginia; and one son, Robert Estep and companion Pam Hilton of Kingsport, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Kyle Hanks, Rawlin Hanks, Joshua Estep, and Aaron Estep; and four sisters, Brenda Burks, Paulette Justus, Elouise Ragan, and Charlotte Ashby. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and others.

Born February 11, 1941, in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Riley Allen and Mattie Francis Mullins Allen. Oliver was a retired coal truck driver and attended the Crossview Church of Christ at Panther Ridge Road, Grundy, Virginia. He enjoyed attending horse shows, listening to bluegrass music, going for drives, and visiting family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Riley and Mattie Allen, he was preceded in death by brothers, Arvil Allen and Ira Allen; sisters, Edna Allen, Pinkie Beavers, Fannie Blankenship, Virgie Osborne, and Hilda Kennedy.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include, sisters, Sylvia Mullins of Grundy, Virginia, Linda Davis and husband Roy of Grundy, Virginia, and Olva Kennedy and husband Ricky of Whitewood, Virginia. Ira was born on February 18, 1954, in Buchanan County, to the parents of the late Frank Hardin and Rosie Hurley Hardin. He was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed hunting, camping with his grandchildren, Nascar, and working at the Pit Stop at Wolford, Virginia.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and spent forty-six years on the strip job as a heavy diesel mechanic. Willie’s interests included, model building, reading, train shows, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Brenda was born on April 7, 1947, to the parents of the late Cecil Kennedy and Ethel Crockett Kennedy. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and a member of the Summit Missionary Baptist Church at Paynesville, West Virginia. She also attended the Breaks Church of Christ at Breaks, Virginia. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Brenda started the Buchanan County School Nursing Program. Brenda helped open the Buchanan General Hospital and continued to work there until her retirement. She devoted her entire life to nursing.
In addition to her parents, Cecil and Ethel Kennedy, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Cantrell.

She was a member of the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church at Hurley, Virginia. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Matney, Junior Matney, and Ernie Matney; two sisters, Naomi Spencer and Charlotte Rife; and half-sister, Pearl Tate.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 66 years, Charles Justus; three sons, Michael (Debbie) Justus of Hurley, Virginia, Richard Justus of Hurley, Virginia, and Joey Justus of Alexandria, Kentucky; three granddaughter, Candice Connolly, Carissa Justus, and Elaina Justus; three great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Connolly, Bethany Connolly, and Morissyn Justus; one brother, Paul (Pam) Matney of Mt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ollie Rowe, Shelby Varney, Ruth Holschbach, and Louise Dotson; and five brothers, Ronnie Watson, Richard Watson, Gary Watson, Rodney Watson, and Gene Watson.
