Anthony Wayne Thatcher - May 20, 1967 - January 10, 2022

Departed: 01/10/2022 (Worland)
Obituary Preview: Anthony Wayne Thatcher, 54, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:38am on January 10, 2022.
He was born May 20, 1967 in Decatur, Indiana to Lester and Alta Mae Thatcher. He was one of five children. Tony enjoyed wrestling throughout middle school, he always regretted not wrestling in high school. He had to drop out of school in 10th grade to go to work to help support his family after his dad passed away. Tony was one of the hardest working men you’d ever meet. His first ever job was being a paper boy. When he started high school he went to work for Dave Rose at A1 Rent Rite. He would always tell us how thankful he was for that job. Dave taught him how to fix vehicles, helped him fix up and buy his first ever vehicle, and was like a father to Tony after losing his dad so young. He always said Dave was the reason that he had the amazing work ethic that he did. His job at A1 Rent Rite started a passion for working on vehicles that Tony enjoyed throughout his life. One of his greatest accomplishments was rebuilding a 1965 Chevy Malibu and a 1970 Chevelle SS which he passed onto his boys. After A1 Rent Rite he went to work for Ben Daniel’s Auto Shop. In his early 20’s he started working for Reinhart’s and eventually became the foreman.
On June 4, 1986 Tony welcomed his first child, Jonia Rashel. Four years later on November 17, 1990 Jonathan Thomas entered the world and on May 21, 1992 his third and final child, Travis Anthony was born. In 1995 Tony started working for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103. He was damn proud of being a Union worker and celebrated 25 years of membership and service in July of 2021. We were told he was the best Heavy Equipment Operator around by many people and had the respect of many men and women for his hard work and undeniable skill. Together with his two sons, Tony built a house out in the country in Decatur, Indiana. Due to his craftsmanship, it was a beautiful home straight out of a magazine. Years of memories were created on that farm. He taught the boys how to raise cows, build fences, grow a garden and learn a good work ethic that he had been taught years prior. If there was one thing that Tony loved the most, it was being a dad. He was Jon and Travis’s number one cheerleader and fan at every sport they participated in and every 4-H event. The years he spent traveling all over the country and watching his boys wrestle were some of his fondest memories.
Tony was involved in many things throughout his life. He became a part of Messiah’s Misfitz; a motorcycle ministry set out to be the light in a dark world and to accept the unaccepted and share the love of Christ. There he got the nickname ‘Scrapper’ and if you knew anything about Tony at all, you know why. After being saved, Tony’s love for the Lord was ever present throughout his life. He would witness to any and every one that he came across, the man knew no stranger. In 2016 he took a job in North Dakota to work on the pipeline (the Bakken Oil Field) and be closer to his son and grandchildren. Throughout his time working on the pipeline Tony made numerous friends. So many people enjoyed his company, he had a love for life and was the life of the party. His infectious smile and smart ass jokes won over the hearts of many, many people.
Other than being a dad, those that called him Papaw were his most treasured humans. After his cancer diagnosis end of 2019 he had to take a step back from work and do what was necessary to get better, which he eventually did, Praise God. This gave him more time to spend with his grandbabies. He loved supporting Isaiah at all of his sporting events. Tinsley and Teagan were “his girls” and he loved every minute spent with them. Tony became a host at Boysen State Park outside of Wind River Canyon in 2021 and many memories were created at that campground. He loved fishing with the kids, giving them rides on the 4-wheeler, camping with them, taking them swimming at the reservoir, and who could forget popping kettle corn with them. In September of 2021 his fourth grandchild Bennett made his appearance and he was the proudest Papaw.
December 2021 came and our lives were changed forever. Tony’s cancer had come back and metastasized, his days were numbered. We were able to bring him home to be with his favorite people for the days he had left. Even through his pain he kept his sense of humor and found ways to mess with us. Tony was a lot of things but if nothing else, he was a fighter. He fought as hard as he could but ultimately the Lord wanted Him home. He was a funny, loving, stubborn, friendly, hardworking man. If you had the pleasure to know him, you were better for it. He was a mentor to many people and touched a lot of lives. He will be terribly missed and carried in the hearts of those who loved him forever.
He was preceded in death by his dad Lester Thatcher.
Tony is survived by his mother, Alta Mae Thatcher; his children; Jonia King, Jonathan Thatcher, and Travis (Alyssa) Thatcher; his grandchildren; Destiny, Honesty, and Messiah Tappy and Isaiah, Tinsley, Teagan, and Bennett Thatcher; his brothers; Rusty Brown, Lowell Thatcher, and David Thatcher; his sister Evelyn Thatcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesus "Jesse" Charles - February 14, 1953 - October 11, 2021

Departed: 10/11/2021 (Worland)
Obituary Preview: Born on one of the most romantic days of the year February 14, 1953, Jesus Charles was born to Antonio and Margarita Charles in Texas. His family started their journey from Texas to Worland where Jesse attended school with his many siblings. Jesse’s family worked the surround fields as migrant workers teaching their children the meaning of hard work. Around the age of 16, Jesse’s family moved to Billings, Montana where Jesse completed his teenage years. In 1970, Jesse enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer where he was stationed in Vietnam and Germany. Two years passed quickly where upon his return, the love of his life caught his eye and the two were married. Jesse married Judith Mittelstadt on August 12, 1972 in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Billings, Montana. So began their journey of love and family. In the following year, Jesse worked in underground construction around the Billings area.
In 1974, Jesse and Judi moved to Sheridan, Wyoming when he was hired to work with Montana-Dakota Utilities (MDU) Power Plant. During this time, the joy of fatherhood took hold and two daughters joined the family. In 1976, Jesse was transferred to the Worland MDU station where he worked as a welder. He raised his family in Basin, Wyoming for the next 18 years. Jesse felt that he had more to give with his life, so he joined the Basin Police Department part-time to help serve and protect the community his family lived in.
After his daughters graduated, Jesse and Judi moved to Worland in 1994 and then transferred to Sheridan Bitter Creek (a subsidiary of Williston Basin Pipeline) in 2001. Here they enjoyed being close to family and growing their love for each other. The town of Worland was calling Jesse back in 2005, so he returned to Williston Basin as a construction supervisor until his retirement in 2007. Finding retirement to be slow, Jesse found the fast lane of school crossing guard to fill his serve and protect nature. Crossing guard duty allowed for creativity in Jesse’s life. He brought laughter, joy, and kindness to the students every morning in various outfits. It was hard to not smile when people saw Jesse as Santa, Worland Warrior, or Sully from Monsters Inc. Jesse had a goal to make others happy and find delight in a ‘Good Morning’ wave. In addition to the crossing guard, Jesse enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, walking/biking with his bride of 49 years, or creating birdhouses. No matter what was being talked about when Jesse was around, he would always share the love of his grand and great-grandchildren.
Jesus “Jesse” Charles passed away on October 11, 2021 from complications of pneumonia. He is proceeded in death by his father, Antonio; his mother, Margarita; and brothers Rudolpho and Santos. He is survived by his better half and love of his life for 49 years, Judi; his daughters Jennifer (James) and Jolene (Richard). Grandchildren Derrick (Janene), Johnathan, Nikita, Danner (Hannah), Garrett (Niki), Jarod, and Kimberly. Great grandchildren Karen, Dominic, Knox, Quade, and newest addition Murphy. Here is where the legacy of Jesse will continue, into the future, caring for others. Also survived by his sisters: Virginia (Britt), Frances (Ernie), Josie (Roy), Gloria (Jose), Margie (Terry), and Pat; brothers: Tony (Cheryl), Robert, Benito, Chris (Jose), and Tom (Wendy); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed not only by his family but the friends and community he loved. We will remember you always Honey/Daddy/Papa.
The family will hold a memorial service in the summer to allow for people to celebrate in the outdoors in which Jesse loved. Cremation has taken place at the Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull. Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.

Obituary Preview: Mary B. (Bunny) Haines
Born June 30, 1924 in Big Timber, Montana to Birge Brammer and Dorothy Hines Brammer. Bunny passed away on October 1, 2021. Bunny grew up "a true country kid," competing to see who could get the most ticks on them, hauling buckets of water to drown gofers, riding horses, creek swimming, fishing, ice skating, roller skating, baseball games, community and family picnics. Bunny grew up in Lennep, Martinsdale and Harlowton, Montana. Graduating from Harlowton High School in 1942, where she was active in chorus, theater and band as a trombone player.
Her love of horses led to her choice of vocation at an early age, as while riding home one day, the saddle on the horse she was riding came off, resulting in two broken arms and numerous injuries. During her hospital stay she remembered thinking that had to be the most special place in all the world, thus she made up her mind to become a nurse. Bunny attended Montana State College in Bozeman Montana then to St. Patrick's School of Nursing in Missoula Montana, graduating in 1945.
She worked in Townsend Montana after nurses training before answering an ad in the newspaper and receiving a call from Dr. Groshart asking if she would like to come to Worland and work in the new hospital (the former library). Bunny often said "she delivered half the babies in Worland." During this time, she also met her husband Leonard and they were married May 28, 1948. Upon leaving the hospital, Bunny worked one year as a scrub nurse for Dr. Whittamore, before working for 40 years as an office nurse for Drs. Jorgenson, Sutherland, Graham and Johns.
Bunny was devoted to serving others but her church and family were foremost. Her strong faith and love of God got her through the hardest times of her life. An active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Bunny served on the vestry, was a lay reader and lay eucharistic minister. Bunny was a health and wellness expert with a holistic approach, mind, body, spirit, that she shared with the community through her exercise classes, massage therapy and Reiki.
Bunny was proceeded in deeath by her husband Leonard, her parents Birge and Dorothy Brammer, brother Clarence Brammer and sister Marjorie Bundren. She is survived by her three children; Dougal (Babs) Haines, Debi (Doug) Morrison and Danni Chambers and her sister Beverly Jones. Grandchildren Aaron (Kristin) Huey, Adam (Kate) Morrison and Andrea (Cody) McKinley. Great grandchildren Hawkeye and Juno Huey - Waylon and Kally Morrison - Rawly and Marli McKinley - Sunny Hein.
A caring nurse, a devoted Christian, a loving mother and grandmother. Bunny was a world traveler (she once went to the Soviet Union with Richard Simmons) and an ace fly fisherwoman. Those of you who knew Bunny, know she was much more than can be put into words here, so if you have a story or a memory, please share it with someone. She lived, she laughed, she loved. You will be missed sweet Mama.

Clint Easton Jeffries - August 18, 2004 - June 22, 2021

Departed: 06/22/2021 (Worland)
Obituary Preview: It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce the passing of Clint on June 22, 2021. He charged into this world on August 18, 2004 in Cody, Wyoming. Being the baby of the family, Clint was a difficult toddler always demanding the attention of his siblings. As he grew to take his first steps you’d always spot him gripping his beloved green “blankey” with his small balled fist. He then took on the exploration of this world with the companion of multiple stuffed cats and his books (many, many books). It was evident at a young age that Clint had a brain that ticked like no other. He had a way of thinking that was beyond what his parents could understand. When it was clear that we did not have the intellectual answers he was looking for, our comment continued, “You know, I truly don’t know, you should google it.” Clint began competing in swimming at a young age. He figured if his brother was doing it, he might as well too. He excelled at the sport, particularly the breaststroke. It was his friendships with Gage & Traeten that were the best gifts he received from the sport. Clint also participated in cross country. He would never admit to “liking” running but he loved the friendships, the dedication of the coaches and the positive atmosphere. His first job was washing dishes at Green Hills restaurant. His earnings went to buying his own phone. He then built his own computer (that he meticulously accounted for). He would tell you that building the computer was one of his greatest accomplishments. He studied and cognized every facet of his project, watching him assemble each part and piece had never looked so natural to a person. Clint was a quiet teen, usually only speaking after being spoken to. But that mind was ALWAYS thinking. His thought process was beyond what the rest of us could comprehend. Even though his intelligence was high, he never let anyone feel inferior. His friends were able to joke about their inability to keep up with that kid’s mind. Clint’s comment upon the completion of the Academic Decathlon, “That was the most fun thing I have ever done.”
Clint was a snowboarder, a certified scuba diver, a wakeboarder, and became certified in QuickBooks. It was clear that academics was his love. He spent last summer teaching himself Japanese & German, as well as listening to Spanish CD’s on longer drives.
Clint had a special connection with his sister. It was their time together where we saw his silliness and goofiness come alive. As they became young adults, they would share conversations on many subjects as well as ponder the meaning of life. During COVID, Clint found an interest in the Sundance Movie Festival and found some favorite film directors.
Clint’s time on earth was too short but we cherished it.
Clint is survived by his parents, Carl and Kamme Jeffries, sister Hadley, brother Dalton, grandparents Harvey & Jere Humphrey and Carolee Carlson and our extended family.
If attending service or simply wanting to remember Clint please wear something bright green on Friday July 2,2021.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 10am, July 2, 2021 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Linda Anderson officiating. Memorials can be sent to either New Hope Humane Society, P.O. Box 1704, Worland, WY 82401 or Security State Bank, 320 N. 10th St., Worland, WY for a memorial scholarship. Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.

Debra "Debbie" Ann Larkins - June 12, 1955 - June 05, 2021

Departed: 06/05/2021 (Worland)
Obituary Preview: Debra Ann Larkins "Debbie" Or "Deb" If you thought you were going to call her "Debra" you had another thing coming.  "Only my mom can call me that and you as sure as hell aren't my mom."  (It was one of those moments, that had you been standing there... all you could do was think *Awkward!)  I do believe her most favorite title was "Grandma".
Deb was born June 12, 1955, to Leslie & DiAnn Quinn in Rapid City South Dakota.  She was the oldest of three, Robert and Rick Quinn.  In 19??  (no one seems to know) The Quinn family picked up and moved to Wyoming.  Debbie Graduated in 1972 from Greybull High school.  She briefly worked for Blue Jackets and Wy text out of Cody.  She met her soon to be husband Tone Larkins in Worland Wy in the winter of 1973.  I asked Tone how they met.  *In Grandpa voice "I met her in the damn bar!  I had no idea she was only 17!  I mean she was in the BAR! I could've been in jail!" Tone and Deb married April 19, 1974, and soon welcomed their first and only child Colt Shawn Larkins. Tone worked for Holly Sugar as a mechanic & Deb worked a series of jobs from Montgomery Ward, Gibson's, Case international, Daily news, The shirt shack & managed the Mini Mart store for more than 9 years.  Tone worked his shifts & then went wherever Deb was to help her move or carry things to her next event.  Tone said "That's what I do... I carry the boxes."
December 3, 1998, Deb & Tone welcomed their first grandson Coy Callaway Larkins.  From the time she set her eyes on him she knew Grandma was the perfect gig.  She was a fantastic grandmother making sure Coy was always happy & comfortable; whether it be letting him gnaw on her knuckle to pacify him or making kissy sounds on his neck until he giggled so hard, he would scream.  She made sure her time with him was not wasted.  17 months later May 24, 2000.  She welcomed her second grandson, Zade Gavin Larkins...  She was intoxicated with love.  She carried that baby as if he were her first treating him as so.  Her knuckle surely paid the price.  All the while never forgetting that Coy was running around at her feet.  She was truly in love.
Zade was only months old when she opened "The Coffee Shop & Antique Outlet".  She finely got to show her love for antiques.  She loved her black mammy butter churn, carnival glass, trunks, stoneware, and Christmas tree costume jewelry.  You could buy essential oils, herbs, vitamins and have lunch in the back or order a handmade cake!   She continued working at mini mart & kept books for the sale barn.  She closed the door to "The coffee shop" only to reopen a new store "Antiques, etc."  She finally found her dream job & a friend to share her love of antiques with, Mr. Bill Smith.  On her free time, she decided to work some more becoming the president of the chamber for 3+ years.  She was on the business event committee, she was involved in the parade of lights, Hunter fest and played a huge roll in getting Worland's digital sign.  If that wasn't enough, she was the president of Youth baseball and in Deb Coronado's words "She was the one person instrumental in getting girls fast pitch softball back to Worland."  She loved baseball!  Watching and following her son and then grandsons play was her passion.  She organized tournaments, vendors, hotel stays, umpires, announcers and so much more.  She even traveled to Colorado to watch her grandson Coy play at a collegiate level.  She was so stinking proud.
In her last days she was busy getting ready for Worland to host state Sr. Babe Ruth baseball.  She loved her Blue Jays so very much.  If she pointed her finger at you and said, "You better not!" that just meant she was watching you and you certainly had a place in her heart.
Grandma loved fierce and fast, and the good lord took her that way too.  She wouldn't have had it any other way.  June 5, 2021 at around 9:30 a.m. Grandma had a heart attack.  At 4:35 p.m. Grandma decided to forever drink good coffee, have the best Swedish fish, lava cake brownies topped with ice cream and watch us play the game of life from the announcer's box.  She is terribly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
