Obituary Preview: Peter (Dan) Podufal of Pensacola, FL died on 01 May 2024. Born to Peter Podufal and Estelle Carlberg on April 29 1943, he graduated from Oakmont High School near Pittsburg, PA. Dan joined the Navy in 1962 serving aboard numerous warships and deploying to the war in Vietnam. In 1979 he married the beautiful Rosa Parado, leaving the Navy that same year. He joined the Federal Service in 1986 as an Audio-Visual technician. Working throughout the United States, he designed and installed many of our National Park theaters. When you were at Yellowstone learning of Bison migrations or at Mount Rushmore learning about our greatest Presidents, you were the benefactor of his handiwork. Dan and Rosa retired to Pensacola, FL in 2005 where they joined a new family at St Anne’s Catholic Church. Dan is survived by his wife Rosa, daughters Rose Marie Bender, and Jenny Burke, his son Rey Rodriguez, Grandsons Rex, Eric, Robert, Kendall, Randall, and Alonzo and Granddaughters Sarah, Alexa, Isabel, and Sophia. A public viewing will be held Wednesday May 8th from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Tracy Morton Memorial Chapel, 55 Coast Road Pensacola, FL 32507.

Obituary Preview: Israel James Underwood was born in Pensacola, Florida on April 23, 1979 to the Reverend Robbie Carl Underwood and the late, Mary Joyce Underwood. Israel was educated in the Pensacola, Florida public school system and was a graduate of Woodham High School class of 1996.
After high school, Israel attended Pensacola State College (formerly Pensacola Junior College) in Pensacola, Florida. Israel held various traditional jobs and was a talented musician and percussionist.
Israel’s passion was for music. Israel, known as Liquid Knowledge, was a member of Burning Bush Christian Rap Group along with his brothers, Manasseh, Samuel and Titus Underwood. Known in the music industry as Dertywood (The Producer), Israel created music, sound and beats under his umbrella company Mesmerizin Muzik Productions.
Israel was proceeded in death by his mother, Mary Joyce Underwood and his younger sister, Naira Underwood-Cola. Israel leaves to morn, his father, the Reverend Robbie Carl Underwood; his wife, Tracey Underwood, his four sons, Christian Underwood (17), Noah Underwood (15), Micah Underwood (15), and Gabriel Underwood (11); his eldest sister, Ajo’ke’ Alakija Underwood-Armstrong (Scott), three younger brothers Dr. Manasseh Underwood (Kaimaya), Samuel Underwood (Catherine), Titus Underwood (Amanda); his eldest niece (raised as a younger sister) Arian Charles Alakija, four additional nieces Adayah Underwood, Olivia Underwood, Ramiyah Underwood, and Saraiyah Underwood; and three nephews, Aaron Davis, Manasseh Underwood the 2nd, and Preston Underwood.
