Obituary Preview: Roger L. Leroux, Jr, 79 of Tilton, died at Concord Hospital-Franklin on April 13, 2022 after a long illness.
He was born in Franklin on Dec. 14, 1942 the son of the late Roger L Leroux, Sr. and Dora (Gilbert) Leroux. Roger was a graduate of Tilton-Northfield High School.  He was happily married Eugenie M. (Bell) Leroux on April 27, 1963.
Roger worked at Continental Machine until retirement and formerly worked at Scott and Williams.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a Sergeant.
Roger enjoyed camping with his wife and family.  He enjoyed working and doing projects. He travelled across the U.S. with his wife.
He was predeceased by his wife Eugenie Leroux and his sister Theresa Sylvester and brothers-in-law Peter Sylvester of Belmont and William Lundstrom of Round Rock, TX, and a sister-in-law Carol Witham of Northfield.
He leaves behind his daughter, Tammy Leroux of Tilton, his son Kenneth Leroux and wife Tracy of Loudon, 3 grandchildren, Anthony Leroux of Gilmanton, Jaime Godbout of Gilmanton, and Corey Leroux and wife Alicia of Northfield, 3 great grandchildren, Lillian Leroux-Parsons of Tilton, Zander Parsons of Tilton, and Lincoln Leroux of Northfield.  Family members also include a sister, Janice Lundstrom of Round Rock, TX a brother-in-law, Alvin Witham of Northfield, and nieces and nephews.
Roger will be missed by all.

Obituary Preview: Nelson J. Michaud, Jr., 61, of Franklin, died at his home unexpectedly on April 13, 2022.
He was born in Portland, ME on July 11, 1960 the son of Nelson J. Michaud, Sr. and Frances (Basco) Michaud.
Nelson enjoyed antiquing, restoring antique and muscle cars with his son, motorcycle rides to the lake.  He was also fond of his faith and church TV.  He was self-employed for several years as Michaud and Son Hardwood Floors.
Family members include his wife, Lorrie (Miner) Michaud, 2 sons, Nelson “JoeJoe” Michaud of Rochester and his wife Casey, Joshua Michaud of Loudon, granddaughters Emily Michaud of Canterbury, and Abigail Haynes, stepdaughter, April Christensen of Florida and her family, stepdaughter Amanda Davis of Gilmanton, her husband Richard and their family, and many friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Christina Michaud who died in 2017.
Visiting hours will be held at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Penacook.

Obituary Preview: Gerard "Bill" William Therrien, 70, passed away peacefully and entered God's kingdom on April 7, 2022 at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.  Bill was born on April 16, 1951 in St. Albans, Vermont and raised in Franklin, New Hampshire, the son of Gerard J. Therrien and Pauline (Lessor) Therrien.
Bill formerly worked at Northeast Electronics, Northern Tel, Cincinnati Time, and Gould Electric. He and his brother, David, also owned and managed properties in the area.
Bill had a warm, kind, and generous heart reaching out and giving support and a helping hand to many people in his life without expecting anything in return.  Born with muscular dystrophy, he showed unimaginable strength.  Bill was smart as a whip.  People would reach out to him for advice and knowledge on how to fix just about anything.  He had a constant stream of people coming to him for one thing or another.  Many times, his knowledge surpassed experts in the field.
Family members include his siblings:  James Keyser, Sr. and wife Helen of Northfield, David Therrien and wife Barbara of Franklin, Cathy Therrien and Mike Cote of California, Gary Therrien and wife Kathy of East Andover, Bonnie Chapman and husband Mike of California, and Diane Bean of Sanbornton, sister-in-law Karene Therrien of Contoocook, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings:  Paul Therrien, John Therrien, Linda Therrien, Edward Therrien and brother-in-law Lawrence "Larry" Bean.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St, Franklin.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10 am in St Paul's Church of St. Gabriel Parish, 110 School St., Franklin.  Burial will be Thursday at 12 noon in St. Mary's Cemetery, Swanton, Vermont.

Obituary Preview: Patricia L. (Brouillard) Beaudin, 81, of Franklin, NH died April 7, 2022 at home after a short illness.
Pat, as she was known to her family and friends, was born April 23, 1940 to Arthur Sr. and Louise Brouillard.  She attended schools in Concord and Franklin.
She went on to work in a multitude of environments from manufacturing to retail.  Prior to her retirement she worked at the AD&G convenience store for several years. All that knew her appreciated her quick wit and at times, her candid honesty. She never hesitated to say exactly what was on her mind!
In her retirement, Pat enjoyed golf (oh that swing!) music, gambling and spending time with family and friends.  You could always count on her to drop by for a visit-especially if there was a campfire.
Pat was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Beaudin Sr., infant son Bruce Allen, her sisters Isabelle Brouillard and Rita Dorval, and brothers Paul, Frank, Arthur Sr. and Roy.
She is survived by her brother, Robert “Bobby” Brouillard and his wife Loretta of Alexandria.
Her children: Terri L. Willmott of Franklin, Lorri A. Collins and her husband Brigham of Franklin and Robert “Bubba” Beaudin Jr. and his wife Mary of Sanbornton. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 7, 2022 from 12:00pm-3:00pm at the Elks Lodge, 125 South Main St. Franklin NH.

Rosemary loved being surrounded by family and friends, especially around the holidays.  She enjoyed shopping, seafood dinners and spending time in the sunshine.  She was extremely protective of her 3 boys who tested her limits when they were younger. She will be missed by many.
Family members include her husband of  36 years, Dennis L. Davis of Franklin, 3 sons: Thomas Edward Walshaw of Rumney, John Joseph Walshaw of Moultonborough, and Jason Wayne Merrill of Northfield, her mother, Phyllis of Franklin, grandchildren: John Walshaw, Autumn Walshaw, Tom Corliss, Jessica Marino, Julieanne Marie Walshaw, and Allie Merrill, 2 great grandchildren, Jameson Edward Walshaw and Matthew Marino, sisters: Sharon Moses of Ocala, FL, Ruby Elaine Montambault of Tilton, and Sandra Jean Ashby Briggs of Bristol, and nieces and nephews.

Warren P. Cate - Unknown - March 17, 2022

Obituary Preview: Warren P. Cate, 88, of Franklin, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital-Franklin on March 17, 2022.
Warren was born in Franklin, New Hampshire, on March 8, 1934, the son of Ralph and Mary (Gardini) Cate. He was raised in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School and Tilton School.
After graduation, Warren served in the U.S. Air Force as a B-36 crewmember. After returning from service, he worked as a land surveyor for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation from 1958 to 1992. In the early 1980s, the DOT assigned Warren to the Attorney General’s Office. He was a mentor to generations of young attorneys and a respected expert witness. After his retirement in 1992, Warren continued to serve as an eminent domain advisor as a consultant for several years.
Warren lived on Webster Lake for more than 35 years and loved spending time outdoors boating, snowmobiling, and four wheeling with his family and friends. A consummate family man, he brought his tireless energy to everything he did. Warren enjoyed watching New England sports and dropping in on friends for visits. In his later life, he spent several winters in Florida, enjoying the sunny weather and retiree life. A loyal friend, Warren cherished his many close friendships. He was a life-long communicant of St. Paul/St. Gabriel Parish in Franklin.
Warren was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Rita (Cote) Cate, in 1997. He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty (Hall) Cate, of Franklin; his loving children Gail Lefebvre and husband, Tony, of Duxbury, MA, and Gregory Cate and wife, Deborah, of Manchester, CT; his six grandchildren Kathryn Lefebvre, Kristen Harkinson and her husband, Benjamin, Daniel Lefebvre and his wife, Mary, David Lefebvre, and his wife, Anna, Jeffrey Cate, and Timothy Cate; his eight great-grandchildren Lucy, Maeve, Dev, Sadie, Josephine, William, Jacob, and Henry; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his dog, Nikki.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin Street in Franklin. A Mass celebrating Warren’s life will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 110 School Street in Franklin. Burial will be held at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Robert “Bob” Chandonnet of Franklin died at his home on March 12, 2022 at the age of 84.
Born in Lowell, MA, the son of Leonce and Rosemarie Chandonnet. Bob was a 26-year veteran of the United States Air Force.
Bob enjoyed telling stories from his travels around the world, making his famous crepes, and watching NASCAR on Sunday's. He loved a hearty mashed potato sandwich with leftovers and popping his favorite candy, peanut M&Ms.
Family members include his wife of 55 years, Rose Marie (St. Pierre) Chandonnet of Franklin, 2 sons, Paul Chandonnet, Marc Chandonnet and wife Nicole, and Bob’s only, but "favorite" as he would say, granddaughter Kirsten.  He was predeceased by his son, William Chandonnet who died in 1986.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 25 ,2022 at St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin at 10:00 am.

Margaret Lorraine Cilley - Unknown - March 11, 2022

Obituary Preview: Margaret “Lorraine” Cilley, 84, of Franklin, died while receiving Hospice Care at Concord Hospital on March 11, 2022. She was born in Franklin on February 4, 1938 the daughter of the late Rosario and Aurore (Vigneault) Robichaud. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Franklin graduating from Franklin High School and Beauty School in 1955.
Lorraine - also known as “Maggie” by her fellow co-workers, clients and friends - enjoyed many careers in her lifetime.  Her journey began as a hairdresser and quickly moved on to homemaker becoming the wife of Wayne Cilley in 1956 and the mother of five children over the course of three decades.  In 1972, she was employed by the Franklin Parks and Recreation and went on to work for Riverbend – Twin Rivers division for more than 25 years as an Administrative Assistant.
Lorraine loved working with her hands and had many talents including cake decorating, pottery, stained glass and wood working.  She was also an exceptional pastry chef who loved sharing her baked goods with family and friends. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the local Square Dance Chapter in Franklin.
Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her husband of 63 years and supporting the many activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Boston sports fan and thought there was nothing better than to kick back and watch the Red Sox or New England Patriots.
Family members include her five children: Lynne Ferris and husband Edward Jr of Manchester, Susan Boisvert and husband Edward of Loudon, Eric Cilley and wife Ellen of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Jonathan Cilley and wife Ivy of Franklin, and Matthew Cilley and wife Cynthia of Tilton, twelve grandchildren: Edward Ferris III, Daniel Ferris, Jennifer Everly and husband Chris all of Manchester, Tim Ferris of Olympia, WA, Erin Boisvert and husband Ryan Morrissette of Loudon, Alex and Lindsey Cilley of Webster, Aliza Cilley and her partner Max Leader of Nashville, TN, Jonna, Joshua and Jessica Cilley and her partner Jacob Kresco of Franklin and Layne and Brendan Cilley of Tilton, three great grandchildren: Andrew and Harper Morrissette of Loudon, and Everleigh Kresco of Franklin two sisters: Joan Shanelaris of Franklin and Cecile Clarenbach of Broadview Heights, OH, extended family: Kathy Lavigne and Patricia Chase of Franklin, Glenn Cilley and his wife Valerie of Hill, Virginia and Gerard Fecteau of Franklin and Carl Grant of Concord as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Wayne Cilley, sisters: Rita Novak and Florence Pastuszak as well as her brothers: Roger, Robert and Charles “Al” Robichaud.

Gavin Dugan Donaldson - Unknown - March 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: Gavin Dugan Donaldson, age 62, of Salisbury, NH, passed away March 10, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a courageous fight against brain cancer.
Gavin Donaldson was born on June 10, 1959 in Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY to Richard Alexander Donaldson IV and Patricia Ruth Manning. He spent his early years in Rocky Point, Long Island, NY and many school years at Otter Valley in Brandon, VT. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Northland College in 1981 and a Master’s degree from Indiana University in 1991. He married Karen Bresslin in 2004.
Gavin dedicated his life to his love of soccer. He spent his entire career coaching men’s collegiate soccer, including 31 years at West Virginia Wesleyan College as the men’s head soccer coach. In addition to his work at the collegiate level, he spent many years working with the youth at camps and clubs. He served on a number of committees, including numerous times on the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee as National and Regional Chair. He had so many accomplishments in his illustrious career. To name a few – 1994 NAIA National Championship & National Coach of the Year, 12 conference championships, five NCAA DII National Tournament appearances, seven MEC/WVIAC Coach of the Year Awards, and currently sits 11th all-time in the NCAA Division II record books with 402 victories. He has also been inducted into three Hall of Fame’s - Northland College (1998); West Virginia Soccer Association (2022) and West Virginia Wesleyan Athletics (2022).
Gavin was much loved by his family, friends, the soccer community, and colleagues. What he loved most was working with young adults; watching them develop and grow. He was a tremendous mentor and friend to so many people and his impact will live on in the lives he has touched. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Karen Bresslin Donaldson, three paternal step-siblings - Barbara Donaldson Wilson, Richard Alexander Donaldson V, William R. Donaldson and three maternal step-siblings - Pamela K. Miller, John E. Miller, Sandra J. Miller Donaldson. As well as nephews and nieces. Not to be forgotten, his treasured Australian Shepherd dogs – Storm and Wookie and two adored cats – Thunder and Lightning.
He is predeceased by his parents Richard Alexander Donaldson IV and Patricia Ruth Manning, and one paternal step-sibling Guy Donaldson.
There will be a private burial service for family and close friends at Franklin Cemetery in the spring.

Obituary Preview: Jeannette M. Hannan, 87, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home with family by her side on February 28th, 2022.
She was born in Hill, NH on December 3, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Ethelyn (Miner) Cilley. She was a resident of Franklin most of her life and graduated from Franklin High School.
Jeannette enjoyed and helped as a seamstress for the Hannan’s Drum and Bugle Corps before taking a similar position of work with Tilton Dress, Cormier Mills, and Dutton Mfg. Co. in Laconia prior to retirement.
She enjoyed and loved watching her grandchildren grow up and attending their sporting events. She was an avid golf fan, especially with the likes of Jordan Spieth. She also enjoyed going to fairs, sewing and had a big heart for cats.
Family members include her brother, Charlie Cilley of Belmont, son-in-law Randy Bickford of Northfield, grandsons Jason Bickford of Campton and Nathan Bickford of Northfield and two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Theo Bickford. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hannan Jr., brother, Howard Cilley, sister, Viola Keith and stepdaughter, Robyn Bickford.
A graveside service will be held at the Franklin Cemetery in the spring.

She was born in Franklin on Dec. 28, 1965 the daughter of Lawrence I. Marsh, Sr. and Katherine (Nault).  She was a Franklin and Northfield resident for several years before moving to Andover.
Dolly was loved by most everyone she met. She was sweet as pie and tough as nails. Dolly loved feeding and watching her hummingbirds as well as anything in nature. With her kind, compassionate personality she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a very loving mother and wife who will be greatly missed.
Family members include her husband, Carl R. Olson, Jr. of Andover, her daughter Elisha Marsh of Franklin, her daughter Samantha Marsh of Manchester, step son Carl Robert Olson III of Franklin, her mother Katherine Chainey of Franklin, her sister Verniece of Colebrook and her brother Richard of Meredith.

Terry was with the love of his life Priscilla Morse for 27 years. Terry worked at Gunstock Mountain Resort for 20 plus years. Also helped his father his entire life in the traveling carnival business. Terry was a family man and had a heart of gold. Anyone who had the chance to talk to Terry was laughing and smiling. He was also an avid New England sports team fan.
Terry was predeceased by his mother Cecile Claffey, and Step-Father Jack Claffey.

The oldest child of Vernon and June (McNamara) Tucker, Larry was born in Lincoln, Maine, moving to Franklin, NH with his family as a child. He attended Franklin High School and joined the Army at an early age, serving in the 25th division in Vietnam from 1964-1966. After Vietnam, he was stationed at Fort Monmouth, NJ and remained in the Army until 1974. Larry remained in NJ with his family where he became a plant manager and did coating for his company for many years. He later became the purchasing director and continued work in this field after his retirement. He and his wife moved to South Carolina in retirement to be closer to family.
Larry is predeceased by his sisters, Annette Tucker, Bonita Tucker and Melody Tucker and a brother, David Tucker. He is also predeceased by his son-in-law, Mark Eichelberger just a brief time ago.
Larry married the love of his life, Alberta (MacDuffie) Tucker in 1966 and they shared more than 55 years together enjoying life and adventuring together. They shared a love most only dream of in this life. They spent many great times vacationing and discovering new places with family and friends. Larry always had the time for a family member or friend in need. He made it a point in this life to make sure everyone he loved knew that he loved and valued them. He had a love for fast boats, the water, good food, good times and enjoying the life he was given. He could often be found playing a round of golf with friends, a game of pool or darts and making friends. He is a well-loved man by the many family members and friends in his life. This is because of the loving uncle, cousin, brother, father, husband, and friend he was to all in his life. We all have countless stories of the laughs, joy, tears, adventures and mischief we shared with him and we will forever carry those treasured memories with us. He believed fully in living your best life and enjoying every moment of the time we have. We will continue to do just that in his memory.
Along with his wife, he leaves behind the light of his life, his daughter Cristina Tucker of Irmo, South Carolina; his brother, Ernie Tucker of Franklin, NH; brother-in-law, William MacDuffie, and his wife, Sharon of Salisbury, NH; his niece, Lyn Tripp and her husband, Roy of Franklin, NH; nephews, Aaron Tucker and his wife, Erika of Centennial Colorado, William MacDuffie II of Salisbury NH, and David MacDuffie of Salisbury, NH and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Obituary Preview: Lawrence (Lance) Kenneth Sleeper, 81, of Tilton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at the Concord Hospital Hospice House on February 22, 202, after a brief illness.
He was born on August 13, 1940 in Concord, NH the son of Hazel J. Faust and Herbert M Sleeper.
Lance served in the military during the Vietnam War and then resided in the Arizona and New Mexico area for many years driving a bus for a season, then operating his own trucking business.
He moved back to New Hampshire in the1980’s and has been working in the area for many years.
Lance was an active participant in the Tilton Congregational church contributing many hours of volunteer service there especially in the food pantry there with Nancy Wilson. He was also very active in the Native American cultural circle and participated actively in their Powwow’s throughout many summers. Lance’s Indian name was White Owl and his ceremonial regalia denoted that. The powwow’s emphasized community and a bond between all of us as brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Lance was a recent convert to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints and contributed much time to service related projects there.  Whether Christian or Native American, Lance lived his religion.
He is predeceased by his brother and parents. Lance is survived by his wife Jennifer and step-daughter Judith.
Lance’s life will be celebrated in two powwows in May and June and he will have a graveside ceremony with military honors at the NH Veteran’s Cemetery on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm. He was born Feb 15th 1980 the son of Beverly St. Jacques and Byron Sawyer. Sam resided in his childhood home in Franklin NH.
Sam enjoyed, riding his motorcycle, (the faster the better) being a mechanic for Mike Defelice and most of all his passion was being the Chief Engineer for the Hill Fire Department in Hill NH.
He also enjoyed his two dogs Diesel and Penelope. Sam was an amazing man. Always willing to help anyone in need whether it be 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning. His heart was as big as he was. He loved attending family events and spending time with family.
Family members include his mother, Beverly St. Jacques of Franklin, his father Byron Sawyer and his wife Saralee Sawyer of Hill, NH, daughter Kaitlyn Sawyer of Laconia, NH, two sisters Maureen Eldridge of Franklin, NH, Nikki Gilpatrick of Franklin, NH two brothers, Adam St. Jacques of Franklin, NH, and Thomas St Jacques of Franklin and girlfriend Abigail Cornell and her 3 daughters Alyssa, Brooke, and Lily Cornell all of Franklin, and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by both of her biological parents and a brother Kevin.

His family includes his wife of 48 years, Donna (DiNatale) Liolis of Franklin, 2 brothers, Ernest Liolis of Franklin and Nick Liolis of Concord, a cousin, Gabe Loli of Auburn, MA, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Andrew Liolis.

Phyllis was the widow of Erford “Bud” Colcord who died on May 28, 2016.
Family members include her daughters: Cindy Bird of Franklin, Brenda Colcord of Northwood, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.

She was a long-time member of the Franklin and State Grange. She held many offices in the Grange. She loved being a part of this organization. She loved playing games of any kind. Scrabble and crossword puzzles where her biggest passions.
Rosalie is survived by her son Jesse Lemire of Orono, CA, daughters Edwina Barton of Oxford, NC and Donna Hewitt of Durham, NC, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren.
