Born September 28, 1940, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Guy Lollis and Lucille Stegall Lollis. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Horace was a supervisor with LaFrance Industries and retired after 40 years with the company. He enjoyed yard work, car shows, and antique cars, owning a 1954 Ford. But his favorite hobby was his grandchildren as he loved spending time with them more than anything. He was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Phillips Lollis; children, Greg Lollis (Debbie), Gina Bowen (Mike), and Gaye Bates (Keith); grandchildren, Scott Lollis (Hannah), Cortney Campbell (Dylan), Chandler Church (Miriam), Barrett Bowen, and Brooke Bowen; and great grandchildren, Judah, Sophie, Ellie, Jaina, Arden, Kade, Cooper, and one expected great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. Brent Lollis and Rev. Scott Lollis officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Born May 13, 1934, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Richey and Elsie Teasley Rowland Richey. She was married to Ralph Arthur Gray until his death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by two children, Ralph A. Gray, Jr., and Giselle D. Gray; brothers, Edward Richey, and Roger Richey; and sisters, Thelma Ramey, and Jo Ann Alewine.
Betty was a long-time flight attendant having been the only student of her flight attendant class of 1200 to be chosen. Her career gave her the ability to travel the world and live in cities such as London, Paris, and New York. Her hobbies included sewing and shell hunting at the beach. She loved watermelon and was a master biscuit maker. She was an incredible Godly lady who lived out her faith every day. She was a true nurturer and caregiver to others. Betty was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan “Andrew” Gray (Kim); brothers, Calvin Richey (Mary Ann), Jerry Richey (Lynne), Louis Richey, and Jimmy Richey (Mary); sisters, Joyce Wentzky (Frank), and Mary Carter; and grandchildren, Jonathan A. Gray, II, and Jaime C. Grant.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Jimmy Richey officiating.

Born August 22, 1941, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lafayette Brown and Odean Hicks Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Frances Stamps.
Sue formerly worked for BASF. She enjoyed landscaping and flowers. She loved her dogs, Prissy and Georgia. Most of all Sue loved her children and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Strickland (Thierry Barnes) of Anderson; sons, Tony Strickland (John Tribble), and Brad Strickland (Caroline) both of Anderson; grandchildren, Brett Strickland of Greenville, and Marett McCullough (Jeremy) of Lyman; and Shera Donna Strickland.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.

Born March 22, 1944, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Claude Lollis and Clara Majeski Lollis. He was the faithful husband of Judith Gailey Lollis for over 50 years until her death in 2023. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Carter was a graduate of Boys High and was retired from Canteen Food Services. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a certified locksmith that he enjoyed doing as a hobby. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, David Gailey (Judy); niece Heather McCoy (Travis); nephews, David Boykin (Phyllis), Shannon Lollis (Rene’), Greg Gailey, Devin Gailey, and Beau Gailey (Patricia); several great nieces and nephews; and his joy, Bren McCoy.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Mr. David Segars officiating. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.

Patsy, as she was always known, was the very first baby to be born in 1935 at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson, SC. She was a daughter of the late Henry Lee Allen and the late Lucy Daniel Allen. She was married to Horace O’Neal Landers for 45 years until his death in 1999.
She graduated from Girl’s High School; Class of 1952. Patsy was extremely outgoing and friendly. She loved her friends dearly and lived each day to the absolute fullest. She had a beautiful voice and sang like an angel. In her teen years, Patsy had her own radio show on WANS. The United States Air Force sponsored her weekly radio show. Dancing was a favorite hobby, as well as singing, particularly SC’s state dance, the Shag. She was a member of the Electric City Shag Club and the Red Hat Society. She was also a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Dawn Landers Copeland (Stan), Tina Landers Brown (Barney) and Horace O’Neal “Neal” Landers, Jr. (Andrea); sister, Nancy Allen Ashburn; grandchildren, Shelley Tidwell, James Burgess, Jr., Lander Isbell, Tyler Brown, Kody McKinley, and Jordan Hooper; and great grandchildren, Carson, Delilah, Tanner, Adelyn, Jennings, Maddox, Journi, and Jayli.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 12 noon - 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. During this time, her favorite music by the Christian Singers Quartet of which her husband was a member, will be played. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. Steve Silvey will officiate.

Born September 24, 1946, in Anderson, SC, she was the only child of the late Joseph Hamilton Cheek and Eleanor Sexton Cheek. She was married for 53 years to Larry Joe Dove until his death in 2020.
To know Jo was to love her as she was the sweetest soul. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family immensely, especially her grandsons. She enjoyed car rides to the lake, dining out with friends, and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. She was a faithful and active member of Temple Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. Jo loved her church and southern gospel music.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jill Dove Dunn and her husband Greg and Heidi Dove Dalton and her husband Roger; and grandsons, Noah Dunn and Adam Dalton.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Dr. Steve Hurte officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Obituary Preview: Born January 27, 1945, in Kershaw, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Estridge and Ruby Lee Campbell Estridge. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby L. Estridge and Lanny B. Estridge and brothers-in-law, Glenn Payne and Gene Baker.
A graduate of Kershaw High School, North Greenville Junior College and Furman University, Rev. Estridge received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He dedicated himself to the Lord’s work for 55 years. Remaining steadfast in his ministry, he served as pastor of Lowry’s Baptist Church, Chester County, SC, Beaverdam Baptist Church, Fair Play, SC, Mountain Creek Baptist Church, Anderson, SC and retiring as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Iva, SC in 2018. He also served his country as chaplain in the United States Army. Rev. Estridge loved living on Estridge Farms with his family. He enjoyed eating hot dogs, french fries, drinking Dr. Pepper and spending time with his special four-legged companion, Sammi.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Gloria Croxton Estridge; sons, Roger “Rodge” M. Estridge, Jr. and Roy Wilson Estridge; sister, Natalie Payne of Clemson, SC; step-brother, Dr. Rusty Faulkenberry and his wife, Dixie, of Taylorsville, NC; sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Baker of Kershaw, SC, Carolyn Estridge of Rock Hill, SC and Sandra Estridge of Cincinnati, OH; brother-in-law, Col. Roy D. Croxton, Jr. and his wife, Judi, of Kershaw, SC; number one cousin, Carol Phillips of Kershaw, SC; honorary son and daughter, Mike and Jennifer Christenbury of Starr, SC; honorary grandchildren, Graylyn Christenbury and his wife, Brianna, Kaitlyn Rhodes her husband, Philip, and Amberlyn Christenbury, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Betty was the owner and operator of Betty Boggs Tax Consultant for over 50 years. She was an avid traveler and had visited all 50 states. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. She was member of Woodmen of the World and Temple Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Neelis “Neal” Ralph Boggs and his wife Joyce; daughter, Paula Jean Boggs Swofford; grandson, Charles Lewis Swofford; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Lee Edgar Dutton, Jr. - January 11, 1936 - May 14, 2024

Obituary Preview: Lee Edgar “Ed” Dutton, Jr., of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 14th, surrounded by his family at home, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ed was born January 11, 1936 in Savannah, GA and raised in Tennille, GA along with his 2 younger brothers. Growing up in a small town with family in Savannah provided lots of adventure and stories to last a lifetime and beyond. Upon graduating high school, Ed traveled to Atlanta where he attended Georgia Tech, Georgia State and graduated from Georgia Southern with an Accounting degree. Atlanta is where he also met his loving wife, Jan.
After a successful career in corporate finance, 27 years in Hickory, NC, Ed & his wife Jan, moved to Anderson, SC in 2005 to be closer to their grandchildren. After retirement, Ed continued to sit on several corporate advisory boards while also serving on the Anderson County Planning Commission. He believed that being aware of what is going on not only in the world but in your community and state are important to making informed decision.
While Ed worked hard and was a valued and committed employee and board member, he played hard too. Over the years Ed thrived on adventure: from hunting and fishing as a boy to as an adult discovering hiking the Blue Ridge and Rocky Mountains, canoeing fast rivers, kayaking, and cross-country skiing in Canada and NC/WV when the snow was just right. During all of this hard work and adventure, Ed was also the rock and foundation of his entire family. Ed never boasted about his accomplishments and generosity as he was a humble, intelligent, well-read, loving, caring and accomplished man.
The family is deeply saddened by his passing. Ed worked out every day and was the picture of health and fitness. At the age of 88 he looked decades younger and continued to be an activist for issues in which he was passionate about. Ed is predeceased by his parents Lee Edgar Dutton Sr. & Louise Roache Dutton and his brother Robert Dutton and his beloved Aunt Marty - Mary Roache Simms. Ed is survived by his wife Jan Dutton, his brother Martin Dutton (Jeanne) of Athens, GA, his daughter Nicole Dutton Finch (Jason), his grandchildren William Colin Finch and Elizabeth Grace Finch, all of Anderson and his sister-in-law Cherry Dutton of Cedartown, GA, his nieces and nephew Mary Dutton Hammond (Mac), Andy Dutton, Amy Dutton Walters (Brett) & Mary Beth Crooks (Logan).

Edmund was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was formerly as steel worker with Grede. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Easley. He was extremely generous and loved people. His hobbies included cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his sons, Edmund J. Hoffman, III (Tammie) of Pelzer, SC, James Hoffman (Leigh Ann) of Oahu, Hawaii, and Ross Andrew Hoffman of Liberty, SC; brother, James Michael Hoffman (Eva) of Paeonian Springs, VA; sisters, Rita Winkle of Baltimore, MD, Barbara Fox (Dean) of Suffolk, VA, Martha Hess (James) of Irmo, SC, and Nellie Mills (Andy) of Apex, NC; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at Greenville Community Church. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

Robert "Rocky" Obermiller - July 15, 1959 - May 10, 2024

Born July 15, 1959, in Clermont, FL, he was a son of the late Douglas Obermiller and Lois Beseke Obermiller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Obermiller, and the love his life, his wife Susan Avery Obermiller.
Robert, known by many as Rocky, was a career real estate broker and realtor. He found great joy being on the lake with his family and he and Susan built their retreat on Lake Hartwell. Robert and Susan were equine enthusiasts. Together they trained and showed Arabian horses and got into horse show management. Robert became licensed as a horse show steward and founded the Summer Saddle Up Riding Camp after Susan’s death. The Camp focused on horse training for young people who may never have a chance to experience the thrill of horse riding and care. He also was instrumental in the creation of the South Carolina Upstate Equine Council where he served as the Vice-Chairperson.
Robert leaves his sons, Jason Obermiller and Matthew (Tiffany) Obermiller; and his brother, J.D. Obermiller.
Jason and Matthew are planning a gathering for friends and family at the residence home on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11:00 am.
Contributions in memory of Mr. Obermiller may be made to the Arabian Horseman’s Destress Fund or to Rainey Hospice House.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, John Wayne westerns, and old country music, especially Merle Haggard. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Terry Winters and Kelley Winters both of Anderson; brother, Chad Winters (Beth) of Beaufort, SC; sisters, Rhonda Winters and Sarah Hember (Eddie) both of Myrtle Beach, SC; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Born November 29, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Harp and Mary Murphy Harp. She was the last surviving member of her 12 siblings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Kimball; and two sons, Greg Kimball and Denis Kimball.
Clare was a veteran of the United States Navy. She was an administrative assistant with many businesses over the years before ending her career with the City of Anderson. She was baptized in the Catholic Church and kept her faith close to her heart. She enjoyed puzzles, drawing, and other artwork. Clare loved her family immensely and she will be greatly missed.

Bobby was the owner and operator of Neal’s Restaurant Equipment and Repair. When he was not working to build a successful business, he enjoyed hunting, fishing on Lake Hartwell, and operating a fishing guide service. But, most of all, Bobby loved his family.
He is survived by children, Alicia Neal, Matthew Neal and Robert “Bud” Leary; and grandchildren, Cooper Boyles, Harper Boyles, Madison Welch, Morgan Dietz and Tinsley Evans.
The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.

Born August 31, 1944, in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William “Bo” Earl Gray and the late Mae Joyce Mauldin Gray.
Brenda worked for Belk Department Store for many years and later worked with the Daycare at Iva First Baptist Church. She was known to all the children as “Miss BB”. She loved the children, and they loved her so much so, former children have visited her at Iva Health and Rehab Center during her time there. She loved to shop and at least once a year she made a trip to the mountains and to the beach. The beach was her favorite spot.  Every Christmas she recited the Christmas classic, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by memory.  Her recitation became a longstanding family tradition.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Baker; children, Chris Baker (Tammie) and Teresa Baker Wells (Tommy): brother, Billy Gray (Debbie); and one grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 4:30 pm at Iva City Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Gray will officiate. The family will gather with family and friends following the service.

She is survived by her son, Bill Moore (Brenda); daughters, Sylvia Rhodes and Cindy Roark (William); sister, Shirley Brownlee; grandchildren, Bryan Frumkin (Erin), Michelle Collins (Jason), Jason Moore, Erica Whitehead, and Brittany Roark; and great grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Lauren, Blake, Maggie, and Alex.

Mrs. Sump was formerly a beautician and a Girl Scout leader. She was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous and served as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor at the Leath Correctional Institution in Greenwood, SC. She also volunteered at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood and is a member of their Volunteer Wall of Fame.
She is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, lakes and especially loved his time spent with his late wife, Donna, bird watching. He was a Mason, a member of Ruff Lodge #249, and truly lived the Freemason mission that each man has a duty to make life better for everyone.
He is survived by his daughters, Doree Richardson and Dena Richardson Bagwell (Roger); grandchildren, Dakota, Dawson, and Delilah Sue Bagwell; and brother, Robert Richardson (Mary).
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 6 pm – 8 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2 pm at the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Dyar officiating. Ruth was a member of The Golden Oldies Traveling Group from Owens Corning and Flat Rock Baptist Church.
She is survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at Flat Rock Cemetery with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating.

Devoting her life to her family and friends, Betty left an indelible mark of kindness, love and affection and no one ever left her house hungry. Her insistence of a little slice of pie and sweet tea always seemed to brighten the day.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Larry Sierra, her brother Harry Harper and her sister Carolyn Harper Childs. She is survived by her daughter Elisa Sierra Buresh (Bob) of Clemson, SC, and son Michael L. Sierra (Bibby) of Greenville, SC. She has four grandchildren: Lauren Buresh Stroup (David), Brett Michael Buresh (Kelly), William Harris Sierra and Sara Grace Sierra and five great-grandchildren: Elisa Kate, Banks, Benjamin, Nolan and Finley.
A private memorial service will lay her to rest with all her family in attendance.
