Obituary Preview: Lynnette Ruth Brown was welcomed as the third daughter to Reverend Curtis Brown and Missionary Ruth Brown on December 26, 1966. God loving allowed Lynnette to be reunited with her parents on December 26, 2023.
At a young age, Lynnette accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and began her Christian walk at the Soul City House of God. She continued her spiritual journey by connecting with the New Bethel Bountiful Blessings Church of God in Christ; on to Massive Praise Church where her love for young people offered her the opportunity to serve as the Youth Pastor; then she and her family worshiped with Moving Forward Ministry and she remained until began to face health challenges. However, she continued to sing, praise, and worship virtually until God led her back to her roots at the Church of the Living God, under the Spiritual leadership of Pastor Linda Warren. She truly loved the Lord and her church. Lynnette was also a gifted artist, good playwright, great cook, hilarious comedian, wonderful songwriter and talented musician. She was the original tenor singer and drummer for her family group, The Brown Family Singers, and she was the first Black, lefthanded, female drummer to play in the city of Toledo. The song she is most known for writing is “Jesus is There” and her favorite artist is Yolonda Adams. Her favorite play, that she wrote, was “Will You Be Ready?”
