Interment will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery. A come and go visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 9:00AM until 4:00PM. at Tapp Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Bishop Nelson Gatlin.  Mr. Gordon passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
He was born the son of Willie Gordon and Goldie Goodson Thomas in Sulphur Springs, TX on October 8, 1936.  Jimmie was married to Sue Henley on March 20, 1970, she survives.   Mr. Gordon worked at Rockwell International for many years then started his own yard mowing service before he retired. He was a child of the King. Survivors include: wife: Sue Gordon of Sulphur Springs; children: Lisa Gordon (Stephen Gray) of Sulphur Springs, Vender Gordon Wright (Terry) of Sulphur Springs, Jimmy Joe Gordon Jr. (Oyon) of Severn, MD, Venita Gordon Edwards (Bobby) of Sulphur Springs, Judy Gordon Sharp (Timothy) of Mesquite; sister, Sharon Thomas Hill (Ronald)of Sulphur Springs; brother: Don Thomas of Dallas; cousin Elizabeth Shaw (Leo) of Sulphur Springs; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Gordon Jr. and Goldie Goodson Thomas (Leon); son, Jay Paul Gordon; brothers; Harvey James Clayton, David Thomas; sisters, Patricia Gordon, Rosemary Thomas, Juanita Hale and Gayle Thomas Washington.

A visitation will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM.  Officiating will be Rev. Charles Duffy.  Mrs. Jackson passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2022 at her home in Sulphur Springs, TX.
She was born the daughter of Jimmie Nathan Lindsey and Marie McCool Lindsey in Paris, TX on October 13, 1939.  Mary married Jimmie C. Jackson in 1959.  He preceded her in death in 2018.  Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: sons: Jay Jackson and wife, Pamela of Sulphur Springs and Clyde Jackson and wife, Cheryl of Plano; daughter: Jimmie Marie Smith and husband, Gale of Alba; sisters: Linda Lindsey and Connie Gately both of Drumright, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Brittany Jackson, Kristen McPherson, Earnie Jackson, Justin Jackson, Ricky Whitaker, Amanda Jones, Lindsey Evans, Gina Gleason, Blake Gleason, Jon Gleason and Jennifer Harrington; 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: parents: Jimmie and Marie Lindsey; son: Sammy Jackson and grandson: Raymond Gleason.
