He was born in Elmira, New York on July 4, 1962 to Tom Smetanka and the late Jean Ann Smetanka. He is survived by his father Tom Smetanka; siblings Brett Smetanka and Dawn (Bob Drake) Smetanka of Horseheads, NY; nieces and nephew Brittany Sandore, and Cory and Kaitlyn Rodabaugh, and a host of extended family members and friends. Scott graduated Horseheads High School in 1980 and worked for many years at Purolator and Borg Warner. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, loved sci-fi and reality tv shows, and was a die-hard Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Yankees fan. The family welcomes your condolences at this time, but it was Scott’s wishes that no funeral services would be held. She is survived by her children, daughter Pamela Parrow Masciole, of Horseheads, NY; Christopher (Darlene) Parrow of Wilmington, NC, and Deborah (Joseph) Parrow Horsey of Elmira Heights, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Esther (Thomas) Stermer Margeit of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren Michael (Alice) Bailey, Jaime (Jack) Lynn Bailey Mullen, Rob Bailey, Donovan Davis, Wallace (Audriana) Davis, Brandon (MaryBrooks) Parrow, Jason (Angela) Parrow, Steve Turner, Joey Coolbaugh, and Quinton Parrow; sister-in-law Linda Stermer; cousin Beamary Bradt Prettyman, as well as 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extend family members and friends. In her retirement, she split her time between New York, North Carolina, and Florida. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Diane Lancaster Brautigan; son, Kyle Brautigan, daughter, Heather Brautigan (BJ Marshall) and his cherished granddaughter, Elliana Marshall; mother, Sheila Brautigan; siblings, Tom (June) Brautigan, Kevin (Kathy) Brautigan, Colleen (Ed) Knoll; aunt Joanne Cunningham; sisters-in-law, Nancy Eddy, Jennifer Lancaster; nephews and nieces, Tommy (Megan), Justin, Joshua (Jamie), Jillian, Matthew, Devin, Grace; several cousins, a host of friends and his four legged feline Oscar but lovingly known as “Baby Nuts”. Tim graduated from Horseheads High School Class of 1979 and Corning Community College. Tim first was in business with his father at Keuka Lake working at “The Vintage” and after that he worked at several local banks. For the past ten years, he was the proprietor of Allstate Insurance at the Arnot Mall with his son, Kyle. He was very community focused and a co-founder of the local Chemung BNI Chapter and on the committee for Paint the Night Pink. He was very active in his children’s youth sports including baseball, softball and basketball teams acting as coach and mentor. He was a kind, caring, fair and humble person. In addition to putting his family first and his love for the Yankees and Jets, he also put others successes before his own. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He handled his 6 year battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer with strength and positivity with the support of “Team Timmy”. Tim was in remission from cancer and well on his way to recovery but succumbed to an aggressive pneumonia. He loved life, people, vacations, music, food, and time with his family and friends. Everyone loved his keen sense of humor and sarcasm. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6-9PM and again on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 9-12PM. Tim’s Funeral Service will follow at 12PM with Pastor Craig Golden. Joan is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Geoffrey Heywood; son, Matthew, daughter-in-law Valerie, grandchildren, Noah, Evan and Eli; sister, Edna England; nieces and nephews, Susan Davis, Vicki Scobie, and Douglas England; Teri Murphy and Murray Cameron; Janet Taylor, Ken and Wendy Ballantyne and longtime friends, Rosalie Ruth, Rev. LoisAnn Furgess-Oler and Natalia Kitt. Joan graduated from Edmonton University as a Registered Nurse and loved working in the Emergency Rooms in Bermuda and Cleveland. Later, in Mahopac, NY she became an elementary school nurse to be able to have the same schedule as Matthew. When she retired, Joan moved to Horseheads to be near Matthew and his family. Joan was an avid skier, traveler, reader, and a regular at the Corning YMCA. She was a volunteer at the Food Bank for years. Joan enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the wildlife in her backyard. Joan had an exceptionally positive attitude toward life and people. She radiated warmth and joy. With Joan the words for everyday were, “it’s a beautiful day”. Paradis and their children, Jack and Luke; siblings, Andrea (James) Parlo Swartzman, and Tina (Joe) Parlo McGrane; several extended family members; grand-dogs, Bruno and Rey; special friends, Emily and Henry Sira, Sue Morton, Cindy Weigel and Judy Parlo. She was also pre-deceased by her former husband, Joseph A. Paradis. She was funny, witty, fierce and loving. She kept you in your place while defending you at the same time. She made every moment you spent with her a memory from shopping or cooking to watching true crime shows. She was affectionately known as "The Boss" from Jamestown through Elmira to Albany. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and her friends. Mary Ann was devoted to her calling running Mary Ann's Daycare and serving as a resident counselor and nutritionist for Chemung County Children's ARC. She was immensely involved in Beta Sigma Pi Sorority for over 30 years serving as past President as well as several other offices and committees. She also served as past Auxiliary President for the Catholic War Veterans and enjoyed being involved with the residents of the Villa Serene retirement community. Paul was a past president of the Chemung County Historical Society, Swan & Son-Morss Co, and Fur Fin & Feathers. He was also a director of Elmira Savings & Loan, Tanglewood Nature Center, and the Adirondack Mountain Club.Paul was a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed skiing, sailing, hunting, and camping. He was an accomplished furniture maker, boat builder, and gardener. He also loved to cook. Paul was always up for an adventure and learning something new, which gave him lots of material for his great storytelling. His dedication to exercise, and of course his Peloton, was an inspiration to us all. He was a loyal friend to many and treasured his big family. Paul will be sorely missed. Paul is survived by; his daughter and son-in-law Laura and Andrew Barnett of Raleigh NC, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and David Clarke of Raleigh NC, son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Ching Wu of Portola Valley CA, son and daughter-in-law Charles and Suzanne of Awendaw SC; grandchildren Emily (Barnett) Huneke and Peter Barnett, Casey and Benjamin Morss, Gordon and Hannah Clarke; great-grandson Logan Huneke. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Hughes Morss; parents, Margaret K. and Hume Morss, sisters Jane and Nan, and brother Peter. There will be a celebration of life gathering with family and friends this summer. Paul's ashes will be interred in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY.

Upon graduation in 1980, Eric enlisted in the US Army as a 19 Delta Cavalry Scout, and was stationed in Germany, Egypt, Czech Republic, and the US. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant E-5 in January 1985. Eric is survived by his father; his three brothers, Douglas, Scott, and Todd; as well as his three children, Jesslyn Austin, Garrett Knute, and Erica Lynn. Eric worked in Salem at American Standard for 24 years. In his retirement, he founded Coloring for Smiles Nonprofit Organization. His PTSD therapy led him to a divertissement as a colorist – bringing drawings to life. He donated framed colorings of popular action heroes, princesses, and cartoon characters to Children’s Hospitals in NY, OH, and PA, and provided veterans who earned the Purple Heart, with pictures to honor their valor. She always loved telling a good story and about her time living in France in 1963. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her father Walter Bennett she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Mausteller (1995), and her step-father Torsten Hokan Snell (2017). Donald met the love of his life, Lynn, in Long Lake, NY and they later married there in 1985.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lynn “Helga” Wight Stonier of 36 years, his two sons: Paul (Jassemine Tokuz) Stonier and Daniel (Kayla) Stonier, four grandchildren: Grace, Abigail, Lucinda, and Samuel, and siblings: Lynn (Sabine) Stonier, Linda (George) Stonier Stafford, Lucinda “Cindy” (David) Stonier Adams, and several extended family members. Born into the family farm, Don learned to drive a tractor at the age of 5, as he was too young to lift the bales of hay. He grew up using his hands and learning strong work ethic. In his early years, Don worked as a mechanic at the local gas station and apprenticed under his uncle Wally to learn carpentry. Don was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 277 for 32 years working as a carpenter, welder, and millwright and retired in 2019. Don was a jack of all trades. Master of most. Don was always building or fixing something. If he didn’t already have the right tool for the job, he would make it himself. Upon retirement, he continued to work in his shop doing what he loved; working on projects for himself and others – including woodworking, fabricating, and machining. He was incredibly resourceful and knew how to bring life to things that others couldn’t see. As he honed his skill, he was eager to share his knowledge and teach those around him. He was always excited to share what he had just built.Don was an exceptional marksman who achieved countless awards including both Distinguished Rifleman and Pistol Shot badges. He shot competitively for the Navy Reserves for 15 years, shot on the Bath Rod & Gun Club Pistol Team for over 20 years, and was coach of the NYS Junior High-Power Rifle Team for 3 years. He mentored many others including his son, Daniel, as a member of the team. From 1987 to 2003, Don served in the Navy Reserves as a Seabee. After 9/11, he was activated and stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.Don was highly respected by his peers and friends for his integrity, genuineness, kindness, and humor. He loved to make others laugh. He developed deep connections – not only with people but nearly every animal he met, too. He kept a box of dog biscuits in his truck just in case he ran into one of his many dog friends. As a selfless person, he gave without expectation and understood the value of a favor. He had tremendous pride in his family, loved to spend time with his grandkids, and enjoyed his regular date nights with his wife. Don was a member of the Big Flats American Legion Post 1612 for the past 25 years where he volunteered his trade services on numerous occasions.The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E.
