Obituary Preview: Darrel F. Husa, age 83, of Kohler, passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He spent his final days surrounded by his children, sharing stories and laughter while listening to his favorite music.
Born on March 31st, 1940, in Crete, Nebraska, Darrel was son to the late Robert and Florence (Markle) Husa. He attended school in Crete, Nebraska, graduating High School in 1958 and in 1962 from Doane College. In 1962, he married the late Connie Farmer and had 3 children: Robert, Michael, and Tom. On September 21, 1974, he married the late Linda Schumacher and had 2 children: John and Kate. Married for nearly 48 years, Darrel and Linda’s love story was made for a novel, filled with love, tears, laughter and joy.
Darrel was a true salesman his whole life. From his younger years working at his father’s service station in Nebraska, to the height of his career as North American Sale Manager for Kohler Engines until his retirement in 2004, and his later years restoring and selling antiques. While at Kohler, Darrel was an integral part of the sales and launch of several industry leading engines. There were even two ventriloquist puppets modeled after his likeness as sales mascots (hey, it was the 80s). From 2000 to 2019, Linda and Darrel owned and operated The Red Rooster, an antique shop in Plymouth. He was often found working behind the desk and kept the shop open while Linda battled several cancer treatments over the years.
Darrel found his moments of peace watching sunsets over the lake up north with good friends and relaxing in his infamous screen house with his beloved dogs by his side. He took pride in a well-manicured lawn and restoring antique furniture. He spent many summers as chief mechanic and pit boss for Kate’s go-karting years in Elkhart Lake. Darrel was a member of the Sheboygan Elks Lodge and Sheboygan Pine Club. He was known for telling great stories about his biggest joys and accomplishments. He also enjoyed hunting, attending races at Road America, and riding his Harley after retirement. Family was important to Darrel, and his stories will live on through their memories and laughter.

Marcella Bauer - January 07, 1940 - February 13, 2024

Departed: 02/13/2024 (Plymouth)
Obituary Preview: Marcella (Marcy) Lucille Bauer (Maas) passed away peacefully with her beloved husband, Gerald (Jerry), by her side on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Abridge Assisted Living in Chilton after a short, but persistent battle with Alzheimer's.
Marcy was born on January 7, 1940, to Herbert and Hilda Maas in Columbus Wisconsin. Marcy graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1958, she then went on to work at the West Bend Company, where she met her husband Gerald A. Bauer. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on January 7, 2024.
Marcy and Jerry were blessed to have three sons, Keith of Sheboygan, WI., Randy of Bolingbrook IL. and Robbie of Fond du lac, WI. Marcy loved her grandchildren, Bryon, Maegan, and Daniel. She demonstrated her commitment to her grandchildren with custom-made birthday cakes, seasonal Jello treats which made the holidays magical (Easter seemed to be her favorite with Jello jellybeans and eggs), and the many miles travelled each weekend from Wisconsin to Illinois to be with them. Marcy cherished the day she was able to hold her great granddaughter Adelaide in December of 2022.
Marcy loved to care for others in her home and community. She would bring delicious casseroles and deserts to church dinners and family gatherings where she would be asked for recipes often. She cared for her younger, disabled brother, Lyle for years. She carefully shaved his face, helped him to get dressed, and engaged him in school/programs. One of the ways she supported Jerry was by making his lunch every day and would even show her sass by placing wax paper between the layers on April Fools days. The devotion to her family was abundant, she was the heart of the household.
Baking, gardening, and birdwatching were Marcy's favorites. Rhubarb never tasted so good as she had one recipe better than the next. Marcy and Jerry had an immense garden where she would slice out the eyes of the potatoes and then Jerry would sow them in the ground to harvest in the fall along with beets, beans and so many tomatoes. She was an excellent canner; spending hours washing, cutting, and preserving their harvest.
Marcy spent hours viewing the birds outside her dining room window: chickadees, orioles, blue jays, finches, and woodpeckers were a seasonal reminder of the attention she gave with jars of grape jelly, sunflower seeds, and suet, carefully placed awaiting their arrival. The Cardinal, being her favorite, will be a reminder to those who loved her, knowing her spirit is with us forever.
Marcy was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Hilda, her only sister Dolly, her brothers Lyle, Eugene (Diana), Larry (Carol), sister-in-law Marian, who was married to her brother Ernie, and Darlene, married to Edgar. She is survived by her gentle and kind husband Jerry, her beloved sons Keith, Randy (Lori) and Robbie (Kate), and her treasured grandchildren, Bryon (Mary), Maegan and Daniel. Her great granddaughter Adelaide will soon be a big sister in March of this year.
Services will be held Suchon Funeral Home (1317 WI-67, Plymouth, WI 53073) on Friday, February 23, 2024, with visitation from 3:30pm until 5:30pm. A celebration of her life will begin at 5:30 pm with dinner immediately following. Burial will take place Saturday morning at 10:00 at Sherman Center, St. John's cemetery.
Ma, you will be missed and loved forever.

Sharon M. Roberts - February 28, 1946 - January 05, 2024

Departed: 01/05/2024 (Plymouth)
Obituary Preview: Sharon M. Roberts (nee Moist) passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 5, 2024 at the age of 77.
Sharon was born in Lewistown, PA on February 28, 1946, the eldest of three children of Hubert and Geraldine Moist. The family moved to Florida in 1956 where Sharon later graduated from Cocoa High School in 1964. She had one child, Troy, during her first marriage to Jim Winton. She was a loving, proud, and devoted mother to her son and worked tirelessly following her divorce to see him through college so he could have a better life. She worked numerous jobs over the years before working for many years as office manager for an oral surgeon.
In 1991 she met the future love of her life, David Michael (Mike) Roberts, at a party where friends had invited the pair for a possible love connection. As fate would have it, the duo did indeed connect (allegedly he won her approval because of his “clean ears and fingernails”) and the couple later married on New Year’s Day in 1996. Upon their union, Sharon became stepmother to Mike’s four children. After living eight years in Sanford, Florida, Sharon and Mike retired to the mountains of southern Colorado in 2004. During their 15 years there, they made many wonderful new friends and embarked on numerous fun adventures, including four wheeling, camping, fishing, and wildlife encounters. In 2019, she and Mike moved to Sheboygan, WI to be closer to family and escape the rigors of mountain life. During their time in Sheboygan they made several new friends and attended Grace Baptist Church where they were proudly baptized in 2021.
Sharon was fiercely independent, tenacious, hardworking, and a classic Type A personality, preferring to get things done yesterday rather than wait for today. She was too busy being busy to have time for any typical hobbies. Like her mother, she was headstrong and determined, sincerely believing that you could do things her way or some other inferior way. She was also kind hearted and loving and those who encountered her ebullient smile and frenetic demeanor will never forget her.
Sharon is survived by her husband Mike and his four children Bryan (Jesse) Roberts, Anna (James) Vrhovac, Jessica (Jamie) McGriff, Jennifer (Ari) Roberts-Watson), her son Troy (Teresa) Winton, her sister Melanie (Bob) Anderson, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother Doug Moist.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, WI for their professionalism and compassionate care of Sharon in the final moments of her life. The family is planning a Celebration of Life later this year in Florida
