Obituary Preview: Rosemary C. Sealock, age 80, of Louisville, OH went to be with our heavenly father, family and friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. She was born April 24, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to the late Robert and Hermena (Klusch) Snyder. Rosemary was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church in Canton after Trinity Lutheran consolidated. Rosemary could be seen around town, often with her late son, Erik Holmstrom, who preceded her in death September 6, 2021. She and Erik volunteered at Urban Ark for over 10 years. Rosemary was a graduate of McKinley High School and had a career with Goodyear Air Craft Systems Co. She loved her career and made having a full-time career and being an amazing mother and wife look easy. She effortlessly made time for all of her roles. She enjoyed cooking and was always willing to try new things. The Cleveland Indians where her favorite, as well as cruises, the ocean, beaches and New York City.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, William Sealock; three daughters, Christine (Michael Thomas) Danford, Claire (Ben) Campbell, Heather (Jason) Dillon; two sons, Michael (Stacy) Sealock, Jason (Rashell) Sealock; a sister, Constance DeJong; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Suzanne E. Scott - November 17, 1953 - March 27, 2022

Obituary Preview: Suzanne E. (Glass) Scott, age 68, of Louisville, Ohio passed away comfortably on Sunday, March 27, 2022, having lived a life full of love and friendship. She was born in Canton, Ohio on November 17, 1953 and spent her younger years growing up in East Canton, Ohio. She later married Harry G. Scott III of East Canton in 1972, and together they attended Malone University to pursue their Bachelor’s in education. Both taught in the Louisville City School system; Suzy taught High School Trigonometry and Calculus at Louisville from 1977 - 2002. During this time, she and Harry attended and graduated from The University of Dayton with their Master’s in School Administration.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Beadles), her son-in-law, Daniel Beadles, her two grand-cats: Finnegan and Peaches, and many close friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry.
Suzy always enjoyed traveling the country with her friends and family, and could be found living life to its fullest with a beverage in hand. Her political stance was made known to all who crossed her path, and if nothing else, she would encourage you to exercise your right to vote in any and all elections. When not in Ohio, she could be found in Scottsdale, Arizona enjoying her winter home while hitting the links and soaking up the desert sun. In retirement, she enjoyed working outside and keeping active through outings with her many family members and friends through the years. Suzy enjoyed life to the fullest, and would recommend that you do the same.
Cremation has taken place, calling hours will take place om Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 5-7PM at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio.

Survived by his loving wife of 36 years Loretta Susan “Susie” (Meyer), son Nicholas (Briana), brothers Bob (Lori) and Keith (Lynda) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rodney was a registered Architect in the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and West Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati with studies at the San Francisco Center for Architecture and Urban Studies, followed by a Master of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. Rodney is the owner of Motter & Meadows Architects. The firm maintained a rich history since its inception by Charles Firestone in 1919. Rodney joined as a partner in 1985 with Michael Motter.
The scope of the firm’s diverse projects included municipal, residential, business, industrial, religious facilities, schools, athletic facilities and many others.
Rodney is known for his relentless and generous support of the arts, education, community and the development of downtown Canton. He has chaired and served on many community boards and committees.
Rodney’s interests included travel, camping, family dinners, classic vehicles and model trains.
His legacy will live on with the extensive contributions to NE Ohio through his architectural designs and community service.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue (Haren) Case; his daughter, Megan (Anthony) Desiato, his son, Nick (Heather) Case; his mother, Rebecca Case; sisters, Jodie (Tim) Albrecht, Julie (Tom) Metz; sister-in-law, Heather Case; grandchildren, Sophia, Oscar, and Nolan Desiato and Carson and Emery Case; his mother-in-law, Barb Haren; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Don) Shafer; brothers-in-law, Tim Haren and Larry (Stephanie) Haren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim; brother, Joe; father-in-law, Marvin; brothers-in-law, Mark and Terry; and his grandparents Jay and Annie Ross. Mike was a lifetime Louisville resident and a big supporter of Louisville sports. Mike and his wife sponsored numerous sports teams and donated countless meals to the community over the years, never expecting anything in return.  He was an avid sports fan.  Many of our fondest memories with him include Buckeyes victories and Browns losses. He was one of those guys that always wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. He would always make sure your plate was full and was good at convincing you that you had “time for one more.”
After roofing for several years, Mike changed careers and became a cook at the Louisville Bowling Alley. After several years Mike’s place grew and he needed to find a bigger kitchen, so he and his wife bought Mike’s Milanns. Cooking was Mike’s true passion, even on his days away from the restaurant; you would still find him cooking up a storm for his family and closest friends.

On Thursday, February 10, 2022 Elaine Kay (Crislip) Jack passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness. Born on November 12, 1955, Elaine was a lifelong resident of Louisville. After graduating with the class of 1974 at Louisville High School, she married her husband of almost 48 years, Larry. They enjoyed spending time going on drives, family time at Paradise Lake and studying scripture. Elaine was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville and with Larry was involved in youth and children’s ministries. Elaine was affectionally known as a second mom to many neighborhood kids and an honorary grandma to the kids she cared for. Her biggest hope was to make a positive impact in the life of a child. Many, many people will tell you she achieved that goal. She was a talented seamstress who made beautiful quilts. Her talent was a true gift that she used to make so many people happy. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and was most famous for her cookies, especially her sugar cookies and cream wafers. Her family was her greatest joy. She would smile with pride as she talked about her kids and grandkids. She was their biggest cheerleader and always told them, “I love you more than you love me.”.
In addition to her loving husband, Larry, she leaves to cherish her memory her children:  Tracy Jack of Willowick, Kenny (Sarah) Jack of Aurora, Colorado, Tammy (Chad) Mehaffie of Louisville and Tommy (Kate) Jack of Youngstown. Her grandkids, Ayza, Ricky, Patience and Madison will miss their MawMaw singing silly songs and doing anything to make them giggle. She also leaves behind her siblings: Rick (Lisa) Crislip, Craig (Karen) Crislip and Brenda (Junior) Crislip as well as her in laws and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Kenneth and Sallylou Crislip, her brother Tommy Crislip and her granddaughter Rori Michelle Jack.
The Jack family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Aultman Hospital. The care they provided for Elaine during her stay was compassionate and loving. They made them feel like family and they are forever grateful for their kindness.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 15 from 5-7 pm at Stier-Israel Funeral Home, 917 E. Main St., Louisville. Wednesday, February 16th, a visitation will be held at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Louisville (1910 Monter Ave., Louisville) with a funeral to follow at 11 am. Obituary Preview: Donald Glen Kehl, of Louisville, OH, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 after a long and productive life of 97 years.  He passed surrounded by Ruth, his beloved wife of 72 years, his children and his friends.  Donald was born in Fairhope, Ohio to parents, Herman and Lela (Shepherd) Kehl on October 21 1924.  He graduated with academic honors from McKinley High School in 1942.  As co-owner and grower at Herman Kehl Florist for over 50 years, Donald oversaw greenhouse operations in Fairhope and supported their flower shop located at 4th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Canton.  In his later years he enjoyed being a snowbird and worked part time for Walt Disney World Florist and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Donald was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and enjoying God’s creations.  He Looked forward to the fulfillment of Rev. 21:4. Besides his strong work ethic, he is remembered for his ready smile, gentle spirit and devotion to Ruth and the rest of his family.
Donald was preceded by his parents, his brothers; William (Bettie), Raymond (Annabelle), Lawrence (Martha), Wesley (Rosemary), Sisters; Esther Rampton and Dorothy Lockhart.  He is survived by his wife Ruth (Slaugenhaupt) Kehl; son, Don (Patricia); daughter, Jane; granddaughter, Jennifer; great granddaughter, Makayla; sister Eileen (Fred) Schneiter; sister in law, Rosemary and many loving nieces, nephews and special friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 68 years, Kathryn Pugh Shearer. Kathryn and John were longtime active members of Christ United Methodist Church where John taught Sunday School for many years.  John also taught Hunter Safety classes for more than 50 years. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Coast Guard, in which he took great pride. He was a member of several service clubs in Louisville and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
John is survived by, his sister, Ethel Moore of East Lansing, Michigan and her daughter Cathy, sons Jan Keith Shearer, (Leslie), Mark Lynn Shearer, (Linda), a niece and nephew who shared their home, John Blum, (Shannon), Connie Schwyn, He will be missed by grandchildren Brian Blum, Kevin Blum, James Schwyn, Keith Schwyn, Megan Schwyn, Lora Weihe, Lisa Shearer, Jeff Shearer, Jay Shearer, Matthew Roach, Mark Roach, John Roach, and many nieces and nephews. His calm presence will be missed by his family. Due to inclement weather and the pandemic, a celebration will be held later in the year. Sandy is survived by her longtime companion, Tom Headley; two sons, Jason and Jeremy Houck; 4 sisters, Cindy (Bill) Priest, Sherry (Dennis) Shaffer, Nancy (Jeff) Rybkoski, Penny (Curt) Roan; 2 brothers, Dan and Ed McCormick; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and her “fur-babies”, Spikey and Moosie. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George McCormick.

Grace graduated from Minerva High School in 1945 as the class Valedictorian. She worked at the Ohio Power Company where she met her husband, the late Richard D. Godwin. She retired from the Louisville Public Schools in 1987 having worked in the office of the Athletic Director and Vice Principal. Grace was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in North Canton and the Mary-Joseph Sunday School class for many years, singing in the choir, serving in the Sunday School and Ladies Fellowship and on the Church Council.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Lynn) Van Horn of Pueblo, CO and Janice (Mark) Husted of Akron, and a son Craig (Ann) Godwin of Louisville. Her seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Van Horn, Christopher Van Horn, Jeremy (Nikki) Husted, Andrew (Amy) Husted, Emily (Derek) Crawford, Angela Godwin and Jacob Godwin, four great-grandsons Nathan and Noah Husted and Henry and Samuel Husted.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in North Canton with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Calling hours will be 5-7pm Monday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville and 10-11am at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Warstler Cementary, North Canton.
