Charlie was an amazing and generous man. He was very active in all of the North Side Catholic churches from being an alter boy, To a religious teacher, Eucharistic Minister,
and Usher for many years. Charlie was born blind which made It difficult for him, but that
did not stop him from seeing all the sights.
He traveled to many states and countries. He was a member of St. Mary’s Lyceum,

Darryl Allen Hill passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Beloved son of Shirley L. Hill (Stephany) and the late William J. Hill Sr. Loving father of Stephany (Michael McCune), Dylan (Mischelle), and Abigail. Pappy of Xander and Nolan. Former husband of Patty Hill. Brother of Kimberly Schmidt, William J. Hill, Jr. (Cindy), Michelle Lowe (Mark), Robert Hill (Chona), Sherri Hill, and Douglas Hill. Darryl was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Darryl was born and raised on Pittsburgh’s North Side. He was a true jack of all trades, with a big heart. He enjoyed working with his hands—he could build a house from the ground up, rebuild car engines, and fix just about anything. Darryl loved spending his time outdoors fishing, hunting, and playing golf. After high school, he worked as a mechanic for 17 years. He later worked as a boilermaker with the Boilermaker’s Union Local #154 until his retirement. He took great pride in his work. But most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Obituary Preview: John “Jack” Schanbacher March 18, 1958- February 17, 2022 Jack was born on Spring Hill and resided there his entire life.  He attended St. Ambrose Grade School and North Catholic High School.  He enjoyed participating in sports.  He loved baseball, football, basketball, golf, and bowling.  He worked and retired after 37 years with the United States Postal Service.   He loved family vacations and going to their condo in Daytona Beach Florida.  He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and the Daytona Beach Kennel Club.  He mas married on September 22, 1979, to Bernet (Lennartz) Schanbacher.  They had three children Michele, John Jr., and Jason.  In 2008, his first grandchild was born, Nathan Bernard Schanbacher.  He was so proud to be called “Pap”.  He loved watching him grow up and even at the end, when Nathan walked in the room he would always smile, want a kiss, and reach up for a hug from his Na-Na.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father, and the Best Pap that Nathan could have ever wished for.  We love and miss you so much.  Thanks for loving us!

Camilla retired from the Holy Family Institute,                                                                                                       where she cared for orphaned and troubled adolescents for over 20yrs.                                                            Camilla was the Evans family's enthusiastic amateur photographer. She was a life long member of Sacred Heart church in Emsworth.   Camilla battled dementia the last 10 yrs of her life.                                                                                                      Her most devoted, beloved, and cherished companion was her dog Tucker.                                                                                                       They frequently enjoyed long walks around the neighborhood and were inseparable.                                          When Camilla's dementia worsened,  Tucker led the path and always brought her home safe. Tucker passed away right before Camilla, so even in death they walked side by side and made it safely home. There will be no public visitation for Camilla A Blessing Service with burial to follow Will be held Thursday 11am at the
chapel of Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

along with his sister Esther (Matscherz) Leicher. NO  PUBLIC VISITATION A burial is being planned at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where Bob
will finally be reunited with his wife Dolores.

Alyssa, Anthony, Sophia, and Ellis. Brother of Carole (Frank) Bruno,
and Sharon Stepanovich. Also survived by many nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends. Frank was very proud to be the first graduating class of Allegheny
County Community College in 1968. He then attended Penn State and received
his Bachelor’s degree in Social Science in 1970. In 1976, he received his Master’s degree
In Education from University of Pittsburgh. Frank started his career at Western Center,
Canonsburg, PA. under the Dept. of Welfare. He was a special education teacher for several years
and advanced to administration for the remainder of his 25yrs. there. Frank entered Early Intervention with the Dept. of Welfare
as an Administrator for his final 10yrs.
He was kind, sweet, and protective of his family. He loved his family, animals, motorcycles,
