Bruce "Woody" Wayne Kochendorfer - December 04, 1949 - April 29, 2024

Departed: 04/29/2024 (Hastings)
Obituary Preview: With cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Bruce "Woody" Kochendorfer, who passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 29, 2024 at the age of 74.
Woody lived his life with gusto. From his younger years spent bird hunting alongside many friends and canine companions, plus a lifetime of fishing, Woody found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His passion for nature was evident as he took great pride in his yard, creating a sanctuary for wildlife with plenty of plants and bustling bird feeders.
He was more than just an outdoorsman; he was also the lead drummer with Giggs and The Branded Men in the 70s! And Woody's natural silliness and perfect timing could light up any room he entered. As the life of the party, he loved bringing joy to others and making people laugh. He found true contentment in life's simple pleasures: sharing stories over the smoker grill surrounded by friends & family, enjoying a cold drink (always filled to the brim with ice!), peaceful moments on a fishing boat, and capturing nature's beauty through his lens.
Woody's door was always open; his home was a place where everyone was welcome. Whether it was a cozy gathering of four or a bustling barbecue for twenty-five, he always made sure no one left hungry or without a smile.
We honor his legacy as the happy-go-lucky guy who could brighten anyone’s day with his goofiness.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly; parents, Geraldine and Wayne “Bud”; and sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Jim) Judge.

Obituary Preview: Gerald S. "Jerry" Greenlee, a retired St. Paul Police Officer and longtime owner of King's Place Bar & Grill in Miesville, died peacefully surrounded by family at home on Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2024, at the age of 81. Gerald Stanley, the son of Stanley and Margaret (Otto) Greenlee, was born on May 5th, 1942 in St. Paul. Following his graduation from Central High School, Jerry continued his education at the University of Minnesota. He became a police officer in Iowa and then transferred to the St. Paul Police Department where he retired in 1992. Jerry was united in marriage to Arlene Rampke and they were blessed with two children, Jeff and Terri. Although their marriage ended they remained best friends and business partners throughout their lives. On October 1st, 1984 Jerry and Arlene purchased King's Place in Miesville which is still owned and operated by the Greenlee family today. For those that know Jerry, it's evident he didn't miss many auctions, garage sales, or thrift stores, primarily on the hunt for Hamm's memorabilia. Jerry simply loved being at King's. He cherished every relationship and friendship that was created over the years. He was thankful for the chance to meet his soulmate of thirty-five years, Jeanette Johnson, who provided such great care to him right up to his final day. When Jerry wasn't working or looking for a good sale, you could often find him trying his luck at Treasure Island. Jerry loved playing a good game of cribbage or watching sports, especially football and baseball. As a final goodbye, think of your favorite "Jerry Phrase" or have a cold Hamm's as a final toast to a great man!
He was preceded in death by his parents; Gary Fuller; and brother, James and his wife Phyllis Greenlee.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff (Staci) Greenlee, Terri (Bob) Ryan, Greg Fuller, Wendy Fuller, Pam (Charlie) Neill, and Jody Fuller; soulmate Jeanette Johnson; best friend and business partner Arlene Greenlee; grandchildren, Liz, Justin, Kyle, Lily, Joel, McKenzie, Natalia, Stacy, Rhemi, Austin, Sarah, Jake; great grandchildren, Logan, Nathan, Alexa, Malachi, Mason, Bee, and Reed; sister, Joan (Roy) Boltman; and by many other relatives and friends.

Steven E. "Steve" Hadac - January 26, 1947 - April 16, 2024

Departed: 04/16/2024 (Hastings)
Obituary Preview: Steven E. Hadac concluded a life well lived on April 16, 2024. Steve was an amazing man, husband, dad, grandfather and too many other things to list who lived a great 77 years of life.
Born January 26, 1947, Steve grew up in New Prague, MN. At age 14, he met the one and only love of his life, Carol. Thank goodness he met Carol as she was able to help Steve make good decisions since Steve was known to “push the boundaries.” The childhood sweethearts married on April 19, 1969 after Steve returned from U.S. Army duties where he was stationed in South Korea as a medic. Steve was a proud military veteran, but even more proud of being married to Carol for 55 wonderful years and creating a loving family of his two boys, Chris (Karen) and Kelly (Dreah), along with three grandchildren who he adored, Koral, Hope and Stella. Steve was always the number one fan to his boys and grandchildren in all their athletics. He loved watching them compete and always made friends in the stands along the way. Steve was a master electrician by trade, but he could fix almost anything, no matter how big or small the problem was. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, woodworker, and even a drummer. Fortunately for Carol’s sake, his drumming career was short lived! Steve also loved playing rounds of golf with Carol and his boys at courses around Hastings, MN, as well as in Mesquite, NV and Palm Springs, CA. He was constantly trying to perfect his game, and probably has purchased more golf clubs and watched more lessons on TV than anyone (as if it were the clubs!)
Steve will be remembered as being loving, caring, and one who always embraced family. He was always the happiest when surrounded by family no matter what event or activity was taking place. He was special.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marcie Hadac, and brother Mark Hadac.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Carol, sons Chris and Kelly, siblings Larry Hadac and Mary Jean Sirek, and grandchildren Koral, Hope and Stella.
Steve’s family kindly requests you to join them at a Celebration of his Life at Hastings Golf Club & Events on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., Military Honors will be provided by Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210 to pay respect for his dedicated service.
