Henry and Rosie Mae (Kelley) Fountain. At a young age she dedicated her life to Christ and became a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Baker Hill, Alabama. As a member she served faithfully in the adult choir and
provided hospitality services by managing the kitchen and food services. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society 113, where she was apart of the application intake and benevolent committee. In addition, she was a member of the Bright Crown Chapter #220 of Eastern Star in Clayton, Alabama for forty-one years. As part of the chapter,
she served as Martha on the Star. Janie was dedicated in her service and showed unique love to her family and her local community. She provided trusted care for several children and adults in the area during her
lifetime. Janie Mae Fountain was called home on March 24, 2022 as a patient of Medical Center
Barbour, where the ICU staff provided compassionate and excellent care during her stay. She was preceded in death by one loving sister, Barbara Jean Fountain and one loving
brother, Edward James (Fat) Fountain. She leaves to cherish her memories one faithful sister, Shirley (Joseph) Howard; Two faithful brothers, Timothy (Bertha) Fountain and James Edward Fountain; One sister-in-law, Barbara (Edward) Fountain; Two very special cousins/sisters, Lenora Turner and Betty Kyles Walker; Three very special friends/sisters, Emma Jean Cullins, Jeannie Cullins and Mary Dozier; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, community children and friends; One loving niece/ daughter, Kimialeesha (John) Thomas that she assisted in raising from the age of six months
old.

Obituary Preview: Ms. Addie B. Thomas, (affectionately known as "Ms Addie or “Bell"), daughter of the late Isaiah Thomas and Mamie Jackson Thomas, was born April 17, 1926 in Hurtsboro, Alabama. Both parents died when she was quite young, and she moved into the loving household of her Aunt and Uncle, Melvina Thomas Rogers (Aunt Dalt) and Adam Rogers, where she and her first cousin, Lilly Rogers King, were raised as sisters. They shared a close and loving bond until the Lord called Ms. Addie home on March 17, 2022.
Ms. Addie attended Mt. Olive School and she confessed Christ at an early age. In 1944 she married Mr. Howard Grant and moved to Eufaula, Alabama, wherein she had four children. Following the dissolution of that union, she moved to Chicago, Illinois and met her long -time companion, Mr. Governor McWilliams, and birthed eight children. (Both preceded her in death). She later returned to Eufaula, Alabama where she enjoyed a full life surrounded by her beloved family and dear friends. She was an immaculate housekeeper and was especially proud to receive the "Home of the Month" award from her apartment complex.
Ms. Addie was the mother of six boys and six girls. Matthew Grant* (Audrey), Eufaula, AL; Betty J. Taylor (Emmett), Columbus, GA; Shirley Lawson (Michael), Eufaula, AL; Marvin Grant (Sandra); Clotilde Thomas; Calvin Hearn (Ruby), Chicago, IL; Patricia A. Ivery (Alvin), Ft. Mitchell, AL; Brenda L. Jones (Morris); Danny Thomas (Nicole); Dennis J. Thomas*; Darran Thomas (Derdra); and LaTonya McWilliams (Darryl), Chicago, IL. *(Matthew and Dennis preceded her in death). She also was preceded in death by her siblings, J.B. Thomas and Catherine Coleman.
Zion Baptist Church was Ms. Addie's house of worship, where she was an active member under the leadership of the late Rev. G.H. Cossey and continued to faithfully serve under the leadership of Rev. Wash Williams. She loved her Pastor and her church family, and greeted everyone with a warm, loving, smile. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and talking on the telephone with her dear friends, and beloved family, including her grandchildren (33), great grandchildren (72) and great, great, grandchildren (11). Four grandchildren preceded her in death: William Anthony Cobb, Anthony and Matthew Grant, Jr., and Cassandra Taylor.
Ms. Addie was appreciative of the help provided by her caretakers: Ms. Geraldine Hudson, Ms. Felicia Walton and Ms. Derdra Jackson. She truly enjoyed their time together. She was grateful for the loving assistance and care provided by her granddaughter, Shenita Reeves, and the loving care and devotion of her granddaughter, Yvonne (Sissy) Grant, who provided her comfort during her final hours. She cherished her relationships with her cousins, nieces and nephews, and her daughter-in -law, Mrs. Audrey Grant; and a special friendship with Mr. Walter Traver and Ms. Virginia Quarles Glover.

She later united with The True Followers of Christ Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from T.V. McCoo High School in Eufaula, AL. She later received a degree in cosmetology in Chicago, IL.
Mae was joined in holy matrimony with David Cal White. Three children were born to this union. She also was a foster parent to many kids in Barbour County. She worked for many years at Southern Plastics and Wear Well.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Henry Diggs, Sr and a host of aunts and uncles preceded her in death. The Lord called our loved one home on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Medical Center Barbour. She will be greatly missed by her children, Ms. Angela White of Tampa, FL, Mr. Eric (Bridgett) White of Rex, GA, Mrs. Latonji (Danny Jacobs) White of Union City, GA, Ms. Lashanda Burden of Eufaula, AL, Ms. Wendy White of Clayton, AL; god daughter, Mrs. Cassandra Hutchings and several foster children; siblings, Mrs. Annie (Eddie) Biggins of Thonotossa, FL, Mrs. Ruby J. He departed this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, Alabama. In addition to his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy Tarver, Smith Tarver, and Anderson Tarver.
He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Sugar really loved being outdoors, cleaning up the yard, fishing, and picking up pecans. He loved watching television, especially the western channel, Gunsmoke was his favorite. He also loved home cooked meals. Mr. Able was truly one of God’s special Angels while on this earth. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. But what made him really special was that he touched the lives of people all around him even if he knew them or not. That’s not an easy thing to do, but Mr. Able “Sugar” did just that by his kingly, quiet presence. He will be sorely missed.

Emma joined the church at an early age. She served faithfully until her health begin to fail. She was a current member of Greater Faith Christian Center COGIC. She attended TV McCoo School and graduated in 1965. She worked thirty -two years at West Point Pepperell in Abbeville, Alabama.
On February 26, 2022 God saw fit to call Emma home. Those left to cherish her memories are as follows: James Lawrence Jr. (Jennifer), Tatsia Lawrence and Victor Lamar Fryer. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Antonio, Ciera, Christopher, Danielle, Jamesha and James. She had the pleasure of having four great grandchildren: Jaquez, Jakayla, Da ’Nyia and Da ’Maion. Two sisters: Frankie Grimsley and Geraldine Billins. One brother: James Edward Billins. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives/friends.
