Cheryl’s sweet and gentle spirit was evident to all who met and cared for her. Obituary Preview: Betty Ann Howell Brown, 98, of Wheeling, West Virginia, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Powhatan Point, Ohio died on Friday, May 10, 2024 at her daughter Joyce's home surrounded by her daughters.
Betty was born on a snowy April 1, 1926 in Flushing, Ohio to Howard and Bertha Fritter Howell into a family of eight children. She married Hunter Biddle Brown of St. Clairsville, Ohio, on July 3, 1946. She was an employee of Ohio Bell Telephone, Switzerland of Ohio School District in Hannibal and several retail businesses in St. Clairsville. Betty attended the St. Clairsville First Presbyterian Church and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Powhatan Point.
Betty's passions in life included her large family, her love of sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, reading, camping and biking with Biddle, and Ohio State football. She nurtured her friends and family with great cooking, vegetables, and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings, her husband, Hunter Biddle Brown, son, Roger Biddle Brown, son-in-law, Michael A. Zambito, son-in-law, Jack W. Ranttila, and her granddaughter, Jennifer Zambito Knaur and her unborn child.
Surviving are her three children; Joyce Ellen Zambito of Wheeling,WV, Patricia Ann Ranttila of Chicago, IL, Amy Suzanne (Matthew) Hiner of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; eight grandchildren, Christopher Zambito, Mark Zambito, Sarah McEachern, Timothy Ranttila, Annie Ranttila, Emily Hiner, Bennett Hiner, Madeline Hiner; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue Howell Cooney of Chandler, Arizona.

Charles, known for his work at AD Transport Express, had a deep passion for trucking and cherished spending time with his loyal canine companions. His interest in dogs extended beyond affection; they were family to him.
Throughout his life, Charles touched the hearts of many with his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He will be remembered for his genuine care for others.
Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee Powell, grandmother Dorothy Seaton, uncles Edward Eugene Seaton and Roger Seaton, and grandfather Edward Seaton, as well as his beloved dog daughters Jade and Sasha Powell.
He is survived by his daughter, Tabiatha Powell, brother Chad Winchester, sister Tina Filbert, mother Delois Livingston, and his dear dog daughter Bella Sue Powell. In addition, he leaves behind grandsons Xavior Vandyke and Jasper Bredeck.
Services honoring Charles’ life will be held at Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists’ Martin Chapel in East Liverpool, Ohio. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a service at 5:00 pm.
Charles will be deeply missed but his spirit and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Ann Bumbico, second wife, Linda Bumbico, and son, Bryan (Jenean) Bumbico.
He is survived by his daughter, Marybeth Waleisky, stepdaughters, Lori DePoe Nixon, Michelle DePoe, brother, Anthony “Skip” Bumbico, grandchildren, Leann (Matt) Sall, Braxton (Katlyn) Waleisky, Peightyn Bumbico, Abby Bumbico, and great-granddaughter, Kaylie Sall.

She is survived by her children, Donna Maloney, Steven (Lois) Maloney, Kim Horstman, Michael (Janice) Horstman, and Patrick (Paula) Horstman; sister, Stephanie (David) Rucker; grandchildren, Sara Maloney, Stacy (Mike) Marlar, Kevin (Erin) Horstman, and Ryan Horstman, as well as great-grandchildren, Kyle Maloney, Nora Horstman, and Natalie Horstman; niece Autumn (Eric) Baker; nephew, David (Jennifer) Rucker; her special friends Marlene Workley and Richard Holstein and her adored cats, Nibby, FooFoo (Lovebug) and Tiggy.

He was born December 12, 1938 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of the late Joseph and Emma Julia (Veloski) Roy.
Joe was a 1956 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. Following graduation, he embarked on a twenty year career in the United States Air Force. Following his military career, he worked in administration at the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District for the next twenty-two years until his retirement.
In his spare time, Joe was a musician and he enjoyed playing the piano and the guitar. He was a licensed Private Pilot, even owning his own plane. Joe loved sporty cars, especially Corvettes.
Surviving are his Wife of almost sixty-six years, Marilyn Slater Roy, children Joseph (Deanne) Roy of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Beth (Alex Cofield) Meek and grandson Collin Meek all of Hilliard, Ohio. Per his wishes, there will be no services. She worked for 39 years as a cook and custodian for Bellaire City Schools, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Beyond her professional life, Florence was a member of the St. Michael's Women's Catholic Club and she found great joy in crocheting, a hobby she cherished throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Gonglik Sr. and her son, Paul J. Gonglik Jr.
Florence leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply: her children, Mark Gonglik, Kathy (Chuck) Cannon, and Gabriel (Debbie) Gonglik; grandchildren, Brandi Unterzuber, Charlie Gonglik, Paul Gonglik III, Ryan (Sally) Gonglik, Jennifer (Harold) Heatherington, Kari (Aaron) Hall, Gessika (Brian) Givens, Joshua (Melissa) Gonglik, Vince (Kaileigh) DiFabrizio, Benjamin (Misty) Gonglik, Brittney (Frank) Hibbitts, and Samantha Cannon. Bob was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio a son of the late William "Bill" J. & Rita Marie (Sabinski) Woods. He was a 1994 graduate of St. Clairsville High School.
Bob was proud to serve in the United States Air Force from March 1, 1995 until April 30, 2015. Bob retired from the Air Force as a MSgt after serving 20 years. He was deployed four times. In 2000, to Incirlik AB, Turkey for Operation Northern Watch. In 2003, he was deployed again to Turkey for Operation Northern Watch/Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2005, he was deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, for Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, to Camp Victory Baghdad for Operation New Dawn.
For his dedicated and exemplary service, Bob received the following medals and awards: Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clovers; Air Force Achievement Medal with five Oak Leaf Clovers; Army Achievement Medal; Meritorious Unit with two Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Star; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Korean Defense Medal; and Humanitarian Service Medal.
Bob's last employment was with Westlake (previously PPG Industries) in New Martinsville, West Virginia.
He was a Catholic by faith. Bob was also a member of the St. Clairsville Moose Lodge 2504 and was a skilled and proud Eagle Scout. His favorite past times included shooting guns with his dad, and riding his Harley Davidson with brothers and friends. He enjoyed long weekend bike trips to hang out with his brothers, and especially loved spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their fur babies, Marley and Milo.
He is sadly missed by his loving wife of 16 years, Jennifer (Sheets) Woods; brothers, William "Bill" (Dawn) Woods II of Groveport, Ohio, Sean Michael (Kyle Marie) Woods of Green, Ohio, sister by heart, Tricia Kyer; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends and family.

(Tina) Bendel of Bridgeport, OH; five grandchildren; Lorin (Scott) Sylvia of San Rafael, CA, Renee (Adam) Duvall of Newark, OH, Paul (Dana) Bendel, of Dover, DE, Rachel (Shawn) McEndree of Bridgeport, OH, and Luke Bendel of Bridgeport as well as six great-grandchildren; Ryder Sylvia, Gavin and Gabrielle Duvall, Nicholas and Samantha Bendel and Ryan Kemp, and a brother, John 'Jack' Sullivan.

Ron graduated from Warren Consolidated High School in 1971. He worked as an overhead crane operator at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Yorkville, OH from 1972 to 2007.
Ron is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Pamela “Pam” (Zinn) and by his three children, Kara (Chad) Hall, Glen Easton, WV, and Ronald (Christina) Pollock II, Hudson, OH, and Eric Pollock, Flushing, OH. He is also survived by sisters, Rosalie Dlesk of Wheeling WV, Sandra (Dave) Brothers of St. Clairsville, OH, Patty (Lou) Krol of Yorkville, OH, Janice Pollock of St. Clairsville, OH; and brother Robert (Connie) Pollock of Martins Ferry, OH; and seven grandchildren.
Ron was a loving husband, a good man, and had a strong faith in Christ. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, listening to classic rock, and singing.
