Obituary Preview: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas W. Gibbons Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 14, 2024. He was born in Cincinnati on April 2, 1935. A proud veteran of the Army, Tom served his country during the Korean War.
Tom cherished the written word, often found engrossed in a book, which led him to work at Borders bookstore in his later years. He had a genuine passion for connecting with people, engaging in meaningful conversations, and nurturing lifelong friendships. His quick wit and warm sense of humor never failed to bring joy to those around him.
A graduate of Purcell High School and Xavier University, Tom was a Claims Adjuster and Supervisor in the insurance industry, illustrating his dedication and work ethic. He truly valued education and continued to pursue knowledge throughout his life.
Tom was also a long-time blood donor at Hoxworth Blood Center. He received a letter several years ago that his blood had helped save the lives of a mom and her baby.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rosalie Gibbons, his daughter Jennifer Gibbons, siblings, Jacqueline (the late James) Flege, Pamela Gibbons, and Terry (Theresa) Gibbons and brother-in-law, William (Karen) Weinle. He will be missed dearly by his loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas W. Gibbons Sr. and Helen Schehr Gibbons, as well as his niece, Julie Flege and nephew, Kevin Flege.
Visitation will take place at Spring Grove Funeral Homes- Reading, 8633 Reading Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45215 on May 20, 2024, at 8:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley, 330 W. Vine St. Cincinnati, OH 45215 at 10:00 am. Tom will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery that same day, where he will find eternal peace.
Memorial donations may be made in Tom';s name to Wounded Warrior Project or the St. Vincent de Paul conference at Our Lady of the Valley Parish.
In remembrance of his service and dedication, Thomas Gibbons Jr.'s life will be celebrated, his memory cherished, and his spirit honored by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. She actively contributed to her community by serving on the Board of Education for Reading Schools. She cherished time spent with her family, particularly her daughter Katie and her grandchildren Noah, Logan, and Lexis. Tammy found joy in tending to her garden, nurturing her home, and cultivating close relationships with her family and neighbors.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Thomas Nordin.
She will be dearly missed by her surviving relatives; loving daughter, Kathryn "Katie" Nordin; grandchildren, Noah Thomas, Logan Lee James, and Lexis Lynn Jean; brothers, Charles (Susan), Eric (Natalie), William, and Kenneth (Susan) Nordin; special friend and cousin, Brenda Schaub; special friend, Dave Annakin; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

Smart and quick witted, Sue was a proud graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1957, the University of Cincinnati and the College of Mt. St. Joseph.
Sue was the "brains behind the brawn" of her husband Dan's schemes, as handling all business operations of Dan Foley Construction and original proprietors of Foley's Irish Pub in downtown Reading, Ohio.

Richard was born in Booneville Arkansas to William C Morgan and Amy I (nee Cornell) Morgan - raised Protestant, he was a Boyscout, enjoyed roller skating, attended Chase County High School in Imperial Nebraska - where he was on the football team. He served 4 years in the Navy as Personnelman 3rd Class stationed in Hawaii. He was awarded the Honorable Service medal and was honorably discharged. His love of rollerskating led him to meet the love of his life - Linda at a local roller rink.
He followed his love of art and became a draftsman/ commercial illustrator for Hy-Gain Electronics in Lincoln, Nebraska. He completed business management, administrator and commercial art courses which landed him in Cincinnati Ohio working at General Electric for 35 years as a technical illustrator drawing jet engines and computer drafting. He attended Hartzell United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sycamore Deer Park Jaycees where he did illustrations for their posters, t-shirts and helped run their local haunted house. He enjoyed coin collecting, rock collecting and was meticulous about keeping his yard maintained where he proudly displayed the American flag. In his retirement he thoroughly enjoyed genealogy and researching the Morgan family tree and would spend hours on his computer doing so. He enjoyed visits from his children and his 8 grandchildren and loved attending their events to celebrate milestones and their achievements and holiday traditions. Attending Veterans Day at their schools each year was one event he always looked forward to. Family was everything to him.

Vivian was born on May 26, 1932 to Hobart and Myrtle Lovins, in Reading Ohio.
In 1946, at the age of 14, she met Thomas Glardon II. They wed that same year, and went on to have four children; Linda, Thomas III, William, and Jane.
Vivian was a fiercely determined, strong, and independent mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She raised her children to be caring, compassionate, and giving people. Vivian was the backbone and strength of the family, and had the will and tenacity to accomplish all she did in her own way no matter what life threw at her. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn't have her as our mother.
Vivian is predeceased by her parents Hobart and Myrtle, her husband of 56 years Thomas II, her sisters Margie and Betty, her brothers Ronald Ray and Glen, her grandson Joe and angel great-grandbabies Christopher and Shaylynn.
She leaves behind her four children Linda, Thomas III, William and Jane. Nine grandchildren; James, Tina, Benji, Thomas, Bryan, Latisha, Renee, Tanya, and Shannon. Thirteen great-grandchildren; Tiffany, Teresa, Brandon, Corey, Payton, Sueanna, Benjamin, Holly, Zach, Abby, Kaelyn, Brianna, and Annica. Eight great great-grandchildren; Casey, Levi, Jacob, William, Lilly, Paisley, Mason and Harles. She also leaves behind her brother, Dale Lovins.

Together, they created a nurturing and loving home for their four beautiful children: Aharon, Jordan, Blake, and Sofia. His wife: Janee Morris: Two stepson's: Rob(Lisa) Hans and Shane(Nancy) Jordre. Three stepdaughters: Rhonda(Roger) Laws, Jennifer Jordre(Bill Lewin) and Alicia(Luigi) Tiddia. Nine grandchildren Kandice, Michael, Kendon, Mark, Ryan, Gavin, Grant, Jayden, Jordan, Ashlyn, Emma, Hailey, Ryan, Rylie, and four great grandchildren: Dillon, Ethelia, Lillian Jean, and Lainey. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls Association.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, of 49 years, Don Booth; her loving daughters, Tina (Mick) Booth and Tiffany (Josh) Dye; her caring sister, Charlene Fowler; and her precious grandchildren, Casey and Malachi. Sandy's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she held dear.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Marie Booth; her nephew, Chris Fowler; her grandparents, Fannie and Romi Cheatham; her in-laws, Ora "Bud" and Josephine Booth; and her brother-in-law, Darrell (Diane) Booth.

Richard was a dedicated and hardworking individual throughout his life. He pursued his passion for fishing and utilized his creative skills as a Fishing Lure Engineer at Snagproof, a well-known fishing equipment company. Richard's innovative designs, including the renowned Frogzilla lure, contributed significantly to the fishing industry.
He proudly served in the Army National Guard for over three years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and going bowling. He was the type of man that could literally fix or build anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed his help.
Outside of his professional life, Richard cherished spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his beloved children, Diane Freel, Penny Studdard, Richard Patmann, and Amber Patmann, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Freel, Amanda Freel, Liberty Patmann, and William Patmann. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, William Stouffer IV, Hayley Freel, and Grayson Boorom. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy Sue Pattman (Dowers).
In addition to his dedication to his family and career, Richard had a deep faith in God and found solace in reading the Bible. He was a true believer and lived his life guided by Christian values.
A funeral service to honor Richard's life will be held at the Spring Grove Funeral Homes-Reading, 8633 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215 on January 18, 2024, starting at 11:30 am. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the same location at 10:00 am, allowing friends and family an opportunity to pay their respects.
Following the funeral service, Richard will be laid to rest with military honors in a burial ceremony at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm.
We remember Richard as a strong-willed and talented individual who always held his family close to his heart. He will forever be missed and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Lynda Kay Sparks - December 12, 1948 - November 27, 2023

Obituary Preview: Lynda died peacefully in hospice on November 27, 2023 after battling dementia at the age of 74. To have her tell the story, she would say the doctor diagnosed her with hearing loss.
She was the most amazing mother, aunt, friend, and everything else in between. There was nothing she would not do for those she held dear to her heart. She was kind-hearted and fun-loving. She left something of herself behind in everyone she met.
Her love of Skyline Chili and Diet Coke could never be matched. She enjoyed her daily walks and watching the squirrels frolic across the patio. She was an excellent cook and baker, whose offerings will sadly be missed. Vacations will never be the same without her because the sound of her laughter will not be present nor the sound of her snoring after a long day out.
Lynda was a lot of things to many people and she did leave her mark on this world. She will be incredibly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Traci Sparks in addition to her nieces Leisa Puckett, Cheryl Nicholas, and Lori Nicholas.

He selflessly served as a firefighter and then fire chief for the Arlington Heights Fire Department for 30 years. He made a lasting impact as a council member in Arlington Heights. His dedication to public safety and his tireless efforts to improve the community will forever be cherished.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed his membership in the Retired Fire Chiefs Association, where he fostered lifelong friendships with his fellow firefighters. Additionally, he was a proud member of Woodlawn Guthrie Brothers before its merger with American Legion Post #360. Bill's passion for music led him to be member of the choir at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Bill's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children, Debbie (Phil) Hogan, David (Kathy) Muhlenpoh, and Janet (Pat) Delany, his 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and siblings, Jim (Carol) Muhlenpoh and Edward Muhlenpoh, Jr. His legacy of dedication, hard work, and service to others will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Outside of his professional life, Jerry had a deep love for playing golf and supporting the Green Bay Packers. He and his wife Patricia spent their retirement years between the Cincinnati, OH area near Jerry's extended family and the San Diego, CA area where they were able to spend several years close to his wife Patricia's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Obituary Preview: Esther Schrimper Knueven, beloved mother, wife, and friend, was born on May 15, 1925, on a dairy farm in Reading, OH, to her parents Frederick Schrimper and Emma Sandmann.
She grew up with her brother, Fred Schrimper, and adopted sister Helen Mae Duff. She started writing to a girl in New Zealand through a class project in 1937, who became a life long friend.
Esther graduated from Reading High School in 1943 and worked at Stearns & Foster as a secretary and an accountant. Her work ethic made her career a priority, eventually becoming secretary to the president at the company headquarters in Lockland.
She married her husband Albert Knueven in 1946, and built a new house on Columbia Avenue in Reading in the late 40s. She and Al enjoyed traveling together, and visited Canada, Hawaii, Oregon and California together. They enjoyed two trips to New Zealand to meet her pen pal. Esther would eventually make her way to all 50 US states.
Esther and Al welcomed their son Philip in 1965. They continued to travel, and drove all over the US with him. She worked while raising him until retiring from Stearns in 1984. She then went on to work at the Syrian Shriner Temple as an accountant for about 5 years. After ending her employment with the Temple, she stepped up to help out as a secretary to an accountant during the busy tax seasons.
She would eventually move to Milford with her son and daughter-in-law Karen to help raise her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alex Knueven.
When she wasn't enjoying time with her beloved family or grandchildren, Esther enjoyed collecting stamps or sharpening her skills on the organ, which she played for decades.
In her later years, Esther moved to Traditions, a senior living facility, where she was an engaged member of the community of people her age.
Esther passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 13, 2023, at the age of 98. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who will miss her strong will, fierce love and determined spirit.
Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life with a visitation on Friday, September 22 with a visitation from 10 am to 12 pm, and a funeral service to follow at Spring Grove Funeral Home 8633 Reading Road, Reading, OH 45215. A 1 pm service will follow at her resting place at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mount Healthy.
