She was born August 25, 1928 to Julius and Lazette Simmert in Missoula, MT.
Irene was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother.
She was the last and youngest of 7 children.  Irene was married to Philip Grenz in Hamilton, Montana and after his passing, she married Eugene Johnson.
Survivors include her 5 children:  Philip (Judy) Grenz, Mickey Hardin, Mary Lansing, Marsha (Kevin) O'Brien and Candice (Bart) Rydalch.  She was graced with 10 grandchildren: Trish, Kevin, Steve, Mike, Angie, Rene, Shannon, Casey, Cole and Jesse.  She had 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She also had many nieces and nephews.
We also would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Health for the excellent care our mom was given.

Peggy Joyce Davis, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Southeast Health. She was 53.
There will be no services held at this time.
Peggy was born to J.P. Jones and JoAnn Chason on April 19,1968. Her hobbies included putting puzzles together, cooking, watching scary movies, shopping, and spending countless hours searching for the ultimate treasures at flea markets. Each day always started with a fresh cup of coffee. She was a loving mother not only to her own children but many others. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her father, J.P. Jones.
Survivors include her two children, Joseph Davis and Jennifer Chason; her mother, JoAnn Chason (Joey); four brothers, Bobby Jones, Roger Jones, Rex Jones, and Johnny Jones; one sister, Penny Barnes along with numerous nieces and nephews.

John was born July 26, 1958 in Dothan, Alabama to the late James Peter Villani and Paula Marie Thompson Villani. He moved out West at an early age and moved back to Dothan in 1996. John was the owner and operator of Villani Painting. He had a love for the outdoors and spending time with family, boating, riding sand rails, and four wheelers.
John is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Rick Villani.

George was born March 31, 1937 in Hudson, New York to the late George John and Edith Silcock Leiser. He was raised in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served three years. George later moved to Dothan and began a career as an automobile mechanic and later a parts salesman having spent all his working career in the automotive industry. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed time spent with his family and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Dr. Hanson was born March 1, 1933 in Cragford, Alabama to the late A D Hanson and Danver Satterfield Hanson. He was raised in Wedowee, Alabama and graduated from Jacksonville State University and later earned his Doctorate from Auburn University. He served in the United States Army, and later retired from the Army National Guard. Dr. Hanson was an exceptional athlete and played football for Auburn, Jacksonville State, and while in the military. He taught at Jacksonville State and later retired from Troy University. He enjoyed officiating high school football and basketball through the years. While serving in the Army he was an honored member of the 82nd Airborne and made 49 jumps. Dr. Hanson is a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Dr. Hanson is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Adele New; brothers, Edsel, Buren and Kermit Hanson; grandson, Caleb Q. Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Hogan-Hanson; daughters, Hannah Jean Jacobs, Aneta Walker (Sami Q); sons, Hunter Kerr Hanson (Rosemary), Thomas V. Mrs. Fowler retired after 25 years of working in the Dothan City School System. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, plants, flowers, and collecting butterfly pendants. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of Grandview Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her favorite hobby was spending countless times and making precious memories with her family. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Maude McNeil Beasley; a brother, Mack Beasley; and a sister, Inez Whitehead.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband of 72 years, Buford Fowler; two sons, Allan Fowler (Pam), and Roger Fowler (Kathy); a daughter, Glenda Allsup, grandchildren, Beth Anne Mustin (Jason), Blake Allsup, Melodye Maxwell (Heath), Tate Fowler (Delancey), and Alaina Mathis (Tyler); great grandchildren, Thomas Mustin, Anne Mustin, Bronner Maxwell, Wren Fowler, and Ridge Mathis; sister, Sue Mills, and a special caretaker, Tina.

Mary Nell dedicated her life to her church, family, and community.  She was a faithful member and leader of Enterprise Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class for 33 years, served as the Church Treasurer for many years, and cooked her specialty dishes for every church event.  Mary Nell also volunteered for over 20 years at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.  She truly had a servant’s heart.
She is survived by her son, Douglas K. (Martha) Aman of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Doug Aman, Jr.  (Lauren), and Frank Aman of Montgomery, Alabama, Mallory Aman Wilson (Trent) of Auburn, Alabama, Brad Aman of Dothan, Alabama, and Mark Aman (Suzette) of Ashford, Alabama; twelve great grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Clyde Baxley (Lorell) of Ashford, Alabama; a sister in-law, Peggy Thompson of Ashford, Alabama.

Martha retired from Sony/Nypro after a 40 year career as a Purchasing Agent. She enjoyed the lake and the beach but her family and her grandbabies were the light of her life.

Her hobbies included reading, fishing, and taking trips to the beach. When she wasn’t involved with any of her hobbies she enjoyed practicing her Yoga. Her pride and joy were her five boys. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Nothing was more important than making lasting memories with her family. As she would say “Here I Am”. She will be dearly loved and missed by all who knew her.

Jeanne Blake was born in Montgomery, Alabama at Maxwell AFB on August 13, 1948. Her father Dill Averett was activity duty Air Force, so she lived in many different states and in France for 3 1/2 years. She attended Enterprise State Junior College then transferred to Auburn University. Jeanne completed her Bachelor of Education degree in secondary education at Florida International University. She lived in Homestead, Florida before moving to Montgomery, Alabama where she earned an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy and worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at St. Margaret’s Hospital. She also received a certificate in massage therapy from the Bluefield School of Massage therapy in Mobile, Alabama and opened her own business in the Baldwin County town of Loxley. Jeanne loved the Lord and attended Christ Presbyterian Church in Daphne, Alabama before moving to Dothan. She was an animal lover and staunch supporter of our country’s military. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading, supporting the Auburn Tigers and being with family.
Our beloved Jeanne will be dearly missed by her sons Lewis Dale Blake (Dori) of Mobile, and Carey Averett Blake (Kelley) of Dothan; grandchildren Hallie Blake and Jackson Blake of Dothan; sisters, Janet Holmes of Alex City, Alabama, Faye Gilbert (Jerry) of Columbiana, Alabama, and Stacy Free (Tony) of Glencoe, Alabama; several nieces and nephews and their families; and her beloved kitties, Sophie, Jude, and Jazzy.
She was preceded in death by her father Horace Dillard Averett and Maude Parker Averett, and one sister, Joy Baker.

Sister Reynolds accepted Christ at an early age at Adams Street Baptist Church and later joined Bethesda Baptist Church. She married Ephron Reynolds on June 17, 1959 and later joined Stringer Street AME with her family. Sister Reynolds was a faithful member who was the President of the Senior Choir, a Church School Teacher, a member of Bigham-Long Women Missionary Society, and a silent angel.
Betty worked twenty plus years for Flowers Hospital and was named one of Alabama’s Hospital Heros. She loved to entertain at her home. She danced, enjoyed life, meant what she said, never met a stranger, and loved everybody.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Essie Mae Duncan; husband, Ephron Reynolds; a son, Ephron Reynolds, Jr.; and a daughter in law, Latanza Reynolds.
Survivors include her children, Gregory Reynolds (Annie), Sidney Reynolds (Laronza), Mitchell Reynolds (Katrina), Michell Brooks (Robert), Tamera Reynolds, and Nicholas Reynolds; 17 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Duncan, Vera McCarter, Mose Duncan (Evelyn), Mary McCruter, Barbara Ragland, Charles Duncan (Debbie), Anthony Bryant, and Mildred Reid.

Timmy loved playing all sports for the Cottonwood Bears as well as cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturdays “Roll Tide”. Timmy was a lifelong farmer, growing up on the farm taught him the will to work. He was employed with H&H Doors for thirty-five years before going into farming full time. He was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
Timmy was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include two sons, Brandon McCardle (Maeghan) and Lance McCardle (Heather); a daughter, Brooke Whitten; two brothers, Jimmy McCardle (Janet) and John McCardle (Tawanna); three sisters; Sonia Davis (Danny), Becky McCardle, and Dianne Byrd (Scott); four grandchildren, Carter James McCardle, Timothy Bishop McCardle, Paislee Whitten, and Jack Whitten; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
