Noah James Sheehan - November 26, 1997 - April 03, 2022

Departed: 04/03/2022 (Marlborough)
Obituary Preview: Noah Sheehan, born in Concord, Massachusetts, was 24 years old at the time of his passing and is survived by his grandparents, parents and two siblings, extended family and close friends.  Noah will be remembered as a gentle and kind boy who loved spending time with his family, learning about animals and exploring life in his own way, through a truly unique, inquisitive lens that never left him without the urge to ask a question or two or three.  Noah’s vibrant spirit and eagerness to live life to the fullest gave way to many funny and endearing expressions he would often exclaim aloud, including ‘YOLO!’ with a smile. He could always be counted on to say something laughably weird or outrageously awkward, without sacrificing his quick-witted, racy humor and equally unordinary delivery.  While, sadly, his journey of curiousness took him to some dark places near the end, his many years of living life to its fullest in the bright and energized way he did, will always be the memory that most tightly binds those that knew his true spirit and experienced the love he once gave with all his heart.  Noah James Sheehan, our son, our brother, our inalienable family spirit, we will miss you always.

Sr. Marie Therese Ebacher, SSCh - January 26, 1930 - March 13, 2022

Departed: 03/13/2022 (Marlborough)
Obituary Preview: Sr. Marie Therese was born in Amesbury MA, the youngest child of Philias and Rose (Pinault) Ebacher.  In her large family of eight children, she was one of four who entered religious life. That the Ebachers were devoted to their faith is more than evident. The children went to the parish school, Sacred Heart, and were taught by the Sisters of St. Chretienne. Beatrice, Margaret and Marie Therese entered the congregation.  As the novitiate was in Giffard, Quebec, God’s call was strong in the heart of each of these young women as they left their close family. Marie Therese pronounced her first vows in 1948.  She was missioned to Pawtucket RI to teach in the parish elementary school, and later in Ipswich MA.
In 1960, as the Sisters were beginning a mission among the Muslim people, Marie Therese was asked to go to the country of Djibouti in Africa.  She spent some 20 years there teaching the girls in a culture where women had few opportunities.  She had a gift for the language and a special devotion for the poor in the outlying area of Ali Sabieth located in a very hot desert.  She went to Rome for two years to study the Arabic language and the Quran and then returned to Djibouti for several more years.
In 1980, Sr. M. Therese returned to the US.  She joined the staff at St. Mary’s Church in Newport RI.  Later, she was asked to go to Evry in France for three years to set up a diocesan office for Christian/ Muslim relations.  Again back in the US, she served as a secretary at St. John the Evangelist parish in Swampscott MA.  In 2002, she came to Marlboro to the Sisters’ retirement community where she helped as receptionist and sacristan.
Since 2016, her health having declined significantly, Marie Therese devoted herself to a ministry of prayer.  In these last few years, she received special care at Bethany Health Center in Framingham with the Sisters of St. Joseph.  She had lost the ability to speak but communicated with us through loving gestures, holding our hands and throwing kisses.  Her inner life with God radiated outwardly, and the nurses just loved her.  As Marie Therese spent her life caring for God’s children, she has now been wrapped in Jesus’ embrace, and she is finally with her dear mother and her beautiful family.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Rose Alice (Tremblay) Ebacher, her brothers Lucien, Joseph Philias (Bill), Raymond, and Roger (Fr. Marie Jerome, OCSO) and her sisters Annette, Sr. Beatrice, SSCh and Sr. Margaret, SSCh.   She is mourned by her sister-in-law, Gloria Ebacher and many loving nieces and nephews.   Her Sisters in religious life, the Sisters of St. Chretienne, will miss her dearly.  They wish to express gratitude to the staff and nurses both at their former residence in Marlborough and at Bethany Health Center.
Covid precautions are in effect.

A special thank you to Kerry Cahill for your loving kindness and caring of Cay.
If by chance you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.

Once the children were old enough, she started her career in Real Estate in the Marlborough area that lasted 20 years. She received her broker’s license and began her first job with Century 21 owned by Greg Mitrakas. She loved working with Greg, and over the years she met and became lifelong friends with Greg and many of her co-workers.
Among the many things that Dottie was good at was making friends. She talked to everybody, and they liked her. All the nurses at Marlboro Hospital knew Dottie from her many visits and loved her sense of humor and upbeat attitude. She was a talented knitter, (we have enough yarn to open a shop), her Scandinavian sweaters were her master pieces. Stained glass making was another of her crafts which included lamp shades, nativity sets and many other items that adorned the windows and shelves. She was also an idea person providing her Red Hatters Society with things to do and places to go. One such idea was her annual project to make Christmas baskets and hangings.

She loved traveling with her husband and family. Some of her favorite trips were with the Ski Club to the Alps, out west area's and to Canada. On her first trip to Switzerland, she suffered an agony and defeat fall in a whiteout situation and from that time on her ski trips were without skis. She loved to shop and visit the restaurants in the quaint ski villages of Europe. Her favorite non-Ski trip was to Lake Como, Tuscan, and Portofino, Italy, with her close friend Marilyn Nasuti and her husband Bob. When the knees became a problem, her means of travel became cruising, with trips to Alaska, Rome, France, and Spain with her good friends Kay and Bob Cucchi. Sister Jeanne C. Bouchard - July 11, 1931 - January 29, 2022

Departed: 01/29/2022 (Marlborough)
Obituary Preview: Born in South Attleboro, MA, Sr. Jeanne was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche (Gagnon) Bouchard. She was the 8th of nine children, five girls and four boys.  Her family was very devoted to their Catholic faith and attended Our Lady of Consolation Church in Pawtucket RI.  The children went to the parish school with the Sisters of St. Chretienne as their teachers.  From a very young age, Jeanne loved to learn, and after school would ‘teach’ the lessons to her younger sister Claire.
At 13, drawn by a desire to serve the Lord and become a nun, Jeanne went to Salem to the Juniorate at St. Chretienne Academy.  She left for the Novitiate in Giffard, Quebec and pronounced her first vows on August 15, 1950.  After a year of normal school, she began her teaching mission.  This would encompass 60+ years in Grades 6,7 and 8 at the Academy in Salem and in parish schools in Rumford, ME, Pawtucket, RI and Attleboro, MA. From 1971 to 1997, she was the 8th grade teacher at Our Lady of Consolation, her alma mater.  Sr. Jeanne was totally devoted to her students and was noted for her precision in her lessons and her strict expectations of her students.
Sr. Jeanne was always very close to her family, and enjoyed her vacations visiting Claire with her brother, Father Lucien.  She had supported him in ardent prayer during his many years as an Oblate missionary priest in Borneo and later in Laos.  His devotion to God’s people led him into dangerous situations, and he suffered from malaria.  Yet the family knew God was his strength and his joy.  Jeanne would glow when she talked of his missionary experiences.
In 2011, Sr. Jeanne moved to our retirement residence in Marlboro.  This was not easy for her as she had loved living in a parish setting.  She had always been very private, and now she spent most of her time in her room reading and praying.  She faithfully joined her Sisters at Mass each morning, and would make the Way of the Cross after lunch.  Even when she could no longer read, her rosary was constantly in her hands.
In recent years, with her memory failing, she needed care at Bethany Health Center in Framingham with the Sisters of St. Joseph.  Fr. Lucien, would visit her regularly, and was able to be with her just before her death on January 29th.  As her hold on this life weakened, we know that the Lord welcomed Jeanne into the joy of His Kingdom:  “Come, blessed of my Father!’  If simply giving a glass of water to one of the Lord’s least ones will be richly rewarded, what must be the eternal reward for Jeanne’s lifelong dedication to God’s children?  Jeanne was a faithful daughter of Madame de Mejanes, who founded our congregation, and now we can pray to Jeanne to watch over her Sisters, but especially this new generation of children who are being taught by our Sisters of St. Chretienne in Africa.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Sisters' residence, Alliance Health at Marie Esther, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:15 prior to the funeral Mass. A service will be held on Thursday, February 10,2022, at 10:00 AM at the Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel, 359 Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861.
The Sisters wish to thank our nurses from our former residence at 197 Pleasant Street in Marlboro and the nursing staff at Bethany Health Center who cared for Jeanne with compassion during the years of her illness.

Is it okay to write multiple versions of an obituary for different audiences?

Yes, you may want to create different versions for different publications, online platforms, or even private distributions. Just be sure to keep track of which version goes where!

How do I ensure that an online obituary remains accessible over time?

Likely, online platforms will maintain archives of published obituaries. However, it's still a good idea to save a copy locally for your own records and future reference.
