She was born on January 3, 1924, in Springhill Township, Fayette County. Daughter of the late Martin and Margaret (Holpit) Viktor. She was formerly employed by the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation (CAP Division) from which she retired in 1983 after 35 years of dedicated service.
She was a member of Saint John the Baptist R.C. Parish, Perryopolis, PA and the former St. Hedwig R.C. Parish of Smock, PA. She was a member of the St. Hedwig Rosary Society and the Smock Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Margaret (Holpit) Viktor, an infant brother, Edward; brother, Martin and wife Stella; and sister, Leona B. Rollence and husband Paul.
Margaret is survived by niece, Barbara J. (Rollence) Mehalov and husband Andrew (Primary Care Givers), Smock, PA; niece, Dolores (Victor) Dolan and husband Terrance, Hiller, PA; nephews, Martin T. Victor, Hiller, PA; Daniel Victor and wife Patricia, Hiller, PA; Edward Victor and wife Stacy, Hiller, PA; and Thomas Victor and wife Robin, New Salem, PA. Also, several Great and Grand Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 680 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, PA today, September 16 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 17 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, where a prayer service will be held followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist R.C. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Herbert, PA.
Daughter of the late Angelo and Pauline (Coppolino) Scabis. Mary was a member of the former St. Procopius R.C. Church in New Salem, PA
and also The St. Procopius Altar Society. Currently, she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church of Footedale, PA. Mary had a very strong faith, was very religious, and was constantly praying, and making sure her family was praying also.
She devoted her time in loving and taking care of everybody in her family, especially her two beloved granddaughters, Giavanna and Valentina, and also her many nieces and nephews. Mary was a very proud mother of her two daughters and their husbands, but was especially proud of her two granddaughters. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years: Pete L. DeRose One sister: Carmella Glagola Two brothers: Phillip Scabis, and Joseph Scabis She is survived by her two daughters: Paula DeRose Petrie and husband Ted – Uniontown, PA Tina DeRose Gulino and husband Nick – Uniontown, PA Two granddaughters: Giavanna Gulino and Valentina Gulino One Sister: Nina Panko – Garfield Heights, OH
Also, survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Rossi on September 5, 2010, her son David on April 5, 1989, her siblings, Betty, William, Vincent, Melvin and infant Charles.
Olive and Henry married on January 30, 1954 and celebrated 56 years of marriage. Mom was a loving, caring soul and was always there to help in any way she could. She loved spending time with all four of her granddaughters, especially during the holidays. She was a wonderful cook and kept an immaculately clean home. As per Mom’s final wishes funeral and interment at Mt. Phil was born on January 5, 1949 in the Shadow of Chestnut Ridge at the foot of the Allegheny Mountains in Uniontown. The youngest son of the late Isaac "Ike" and Mary "Cappy" Varndell.
He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Vernon Alfred Varndell. He is survived by his sisters, Mary "Beth" E. Rice and Judith A. Nicholson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews,
great great nieces and great great nephews.
Phil played 2nd coronet for four years with the Red Raider Marching Band.
He graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1966.
Phil was born and baptized catholic at St. John The Evangelist Church.
He was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Webelos and Explorer Scout.
Phil was a Vietnam Era Veteran with the United States Marine Corps.
He was a retired employee of the DCNR Forestry Division, District 2, as a Forester. He was a very active and vital volunteer with the PA Game Commission, Wild Turkey and Elk Program. Phil was especially active for several years in the Research Studies and Surveying of wild turkey and elk. She worked for Michael Berkowitz Shirt Factory and sang with the Fayette County Chapter of Sweet Adelines. She helped everyone that she could in being a landlady. For a while he was a substitute teacher, a coal miner, a former co-owner of Dairy Queen in Waynesburg, PA. He currently owned Shelley's Auto Sales in Uniontown, PA for 27 years. He was an avid golfer and loved all sports. Jack is survived by his wife Christine Pepe Andrews; two step children whom he loved as his own, George H. Bortz IV and wife Kelly and Shelley J. Bortz Ligashesky and husband Bob; granddaughter who he adored, Sydney Ligashesky; a brother, Frank Andrews and wife Joyce; an aunt, Clara Andrews;

He retired after working 30 years as a General Foreman with Asplundh Tree Services in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Masontown, PA V.F.W. and a Lifetime member of Pal’s Club in Masontown, PA. Philip was predeceased by his parents, his wife, his five brothers, Louis, George, Robert, William, Steve, and his three sisters, Dorothy Moldovan, Mildred Urso, and Mary Ann Apodaca.
He is survived by his three sisters; Esther and her husband Jack Basham of Los Angeles, CA; Betty Plaski of Fallon, NV; Cathy and her husband Ron Swansbro of Fallon, NV.
Everyone who knew him whether family or friends, knew him as “Uncle Phil”. He was able to put a smile on everyone’s face with his stories and his sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. At Philip’s request, there will be no funeral services. He will be interred in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, PA. Edward worked at Dilsworth Mine for 22 years, then as an x-ray technician for The Uniontown Orthopedic Group for 18 years, retiring this past December. He loved to golf and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates' & Pitt fan; he was an active Adult Leader in the Boy Scouts of America; a member of the Advisory Committee for Geibel High School; and a member of UMWA. Edward was an active member of St. Mary's Nativity Church.
Loving and devoted husband and father to his wife of 34 years, Vanessa (Petrus) Plisko and two sons, Brent Plisko (Kaylee Ermine) and Eric Plisko; beloved dog, Mia; siblings, Peggy (the late Joseph) Putanko; Elaine (Richard) Chury; Lanny (Elaine) Plisko; Marlene Guappone; Judi (Edward) Kolencik; Kenny (Jani) Plisko; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Mark (Kim) Rabatin and Chuck (Marian) Swenglish.

She was married to John D. Tucker for 62 years and they became the parents of 4 Children; Virginia A. Wilson of Uniontown, PA, John David of North Chili, NY, Connie G. Owens of Arcade, NY and Jean K. Stoyko of Uniontown, PA.
Their posterity consists of 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great, Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 Brothers, Dr. Orrin H. Bowman of Honeoye Falls, NY
and D. Clifton Bowman of Gerry NY.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brothers, Dr. J. Herman Bowman of Orchard Park, NY and Dr. Harold E. Bowman of Leesburg, FL.; sister, Gertrude Kenney of Yorktown, VA; also her first grandson Douglas R. Wilson and first Great Grandson Jason R. Wilson.
Evelyn was an active member of the Free Methodist Church for over 70 years, serving as Sunday School Teacher, Recording Secretary, S.S. Treasurer, Youth Director and Bible Study Leader. In 1955 she was appointed the Rural Letter Carrier position working out of the Smock and Waltersburg Post Offices, for 23 years. She served as President of the Fayette County R.L.C.A. for 3 year period. John and Evelyn loved to travel and upon retiring, they toured the US and parts of Canada by Auto, Motor Home and Train. Evelyn also was privileged to visit the S.I.L. Mission Compound in the Philippine Islands for 30 days accompanied by her sisters. Her last trip was a 10 day tour of the Holy Land in 1979. John and Evelyn resided in Florida during the winter months for 20 years, returning to settle in Uniontown in 1996.

Born on March 17, 1922, at the family home in Lemont Furnace, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Urchek Almasi. Sally was the beloved wife for nearly 70 years to Frank L. Palya (deceased).
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers John and Andrew Almasi and her sisters Mary Clay, Ann Hudock, and Julie Krishan.
Sally is survived by her loving children Larry (Rita) Palya, Sister Donna Marie, SCN, Thomas (Mary Jewel) Palya, and Frank (Deborah) Palya Jr, 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren as well as her sisters Helen Nypaver and Theresa McGarvey and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was a member of St. Mary Nativity Church of Uniontown where she belonged to the Christian Mothers and the Rosary Society. Her heritage and pride of being Slovak provided her the talent and passion to give the gift of time to St. Mary Church and school and also to the St. Anthony Franciscan Friary of Uniontown for over 25 years.
Sally greatly enjoyed family gatherings and reunions, polka dancing especially the Polka Fireworks at Seven Springs in July, and playing Bingo on Friday nights in downtown Uniontown.
With great gratitude and lifelong appreciation, the family wishes to acknowledge in a special way Sally’s two “adopted daughters” Marge Zentkovich and Helen Vilk, who were sent from heaven to provide compassion and tender loving care that Sally cherished.
The family also wants to thank the personnel from UPMC Home Health Care, Family Hospice/Fayette especially Diane Humbert, Natalie Braddee and Kodye Pellish.

She truly enjoyed life and spending time with her grandkids. They meant the world to her. She never missed a sporting event, dance show, dog show, concert, competition, musicals, any and all the activities for many years. Her and her husband were always there in the stands, auditorium etc. cheering and rooting them on.
Besides her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Raymond Apicella. They were married May 1,1948; she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Henry Marra, Josephine Marra, Joseph Marra Sr. , John Marra, Marguerite Zorosak, and Mary Gloria Nedley.
