Obituary Preview: Kenneth Lee Frei, Jr., 73 of Pasadena passed away on April 22, 2022. Kenny was born on January 23, 1949 in Baltimore to the late Kenneth and Eleanor Frei. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary V. Frei; his devoted daughters, Kristie L. Coulbourn and her spouse; and Kerry L. Baker and her husband, Fred; his grandchildren, Jewel F. Jones, Austin K. Coulbourn and Freddie G. Baker, III; his sisters, Sherry Boydte (Jack) and Marlene Butler (Robert).
Kenny started working as a mason at the age of 14 and later became a Construction Representative for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. It was a trade he took great pride in. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, coin collecting and playing the guitar. Kenny was very artistic and loved making jewelry out of coins, woodworking and drawing. He was also a member of the Maryland Masonic Order.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Obituary Preview: George Henry, 85, of Severn, passed away on April 19, 2022 after a long battle with COPD. The son of Romanian-Hungarian immigrants, Eli L. Henry and Florence M. (Lazaar) Henry, he was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the youngest of seven siblings (all of whom were predeceased). George served in the US Army for 23 years. After being honorably discharged in 1977, he worked as a Federal Employee and earned a mechanical engineering degree. George is survived by his beloved wife of over 64 years, Soon Ja Henry, and was the beloved father of Christine Henry Jones, Steven Henry, George Henry, Jr. (deceased), and his fur-baby, Prince Henry. He is survived by several in-laws; Vincent Hurteau (son-in-law), Gloria Henry (sister-in-law), Bong Han Kim (brother-in-law), Young Han Kim (brother-in-law) and Young Hwa Kim (sister-in-law). In addition, he has numerous nieces and nephews in Maryland, Indiana and South Korea.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, April 25th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A mass will be held at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 7850 Parkside Blvd., Hanover, MD 21076 on Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00 AM. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
As George loved children and animals, contributions may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Inc.-OR- the SPCA of Anne Arundel County in Annapolis. The family also suggests contributions to the COPD Foundation in his memory.

Brittany is survived by her cherished children, Kenneth Wills Jr. and Kendall Wills; her loving brother, Trey Keyser and his wife Latiza Rivera, and her beloved sister, Iana Keyser; her devoted grandmother, Evelyn Smith; her dear aunts, Joan Faulkner, Donna Smith, and Linda Smith and her uncles, Brian Smith and Mark Warren; her step-mother, Ainhoa Torrado Lopez; and many cousins.  Brittany was loved by many!

Krueger, Sr.; her loving children, Richard Krueger Jr., Herman Krueger, Michael Krueger, Patricia DiLonardo, Christopher Krueger, Bridget Arcoraci, Joseph Krueger, Alice McGruder, and Charles Krueger; and her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Alice was also predeceased by her beloved son, Thomas Krueger, and her eight siblings.

She was born in Baltimore to the late Rita Streett and Winfield W. Holland. She graduated from John Carroll High School in 1968 and Anne Arundel Community College in the late 1970’s. Elizabeth worked for Washington Wilbert Vault Company for 28 years and prior to that for the Baltimore County Government for two years. Elizabeth was a Girl Scout leader for seven years and while her daughter was attending Ridgeway Elementary School, she was an active volunteer with various activities. She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for decorating her yard for all the holidays. She was also an avid reader and animal lover.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Raymond Gary Hendrickson; loving daughter, Erica Hendrickson Stevens and her husband, Alexander VanArsdall; dear siblings, Patricia Holland Walker and her husband, James, Francis Bernard Holland and his wife, Cynthia; beloved nephews and nieces, James Walker, Matthew Walker, Joseph Holland, Heather Hallberg, Alison Kramme and Susan Fannin; and 13 loving grand-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113 at 10:00 AM with a mass beginning at 11 AM. A reception with food will immediately follow in the church hall. Interment private.

Born June 10, 1940 in North Linthicum, MD he was the son of the late Howard Franklin Ashburn, Sr. and the late Pearl Naomi Gloe Ashburn. Mr. Ashburn was a boiler operator for Constellation Energy in Baltimore, Maryland for 21 years and also served six years in the Army Reserves. He retired as a Master Barber, an occupation that he thoroughly enjoyed. He was an active member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church in Conway as well as the NRA. Mr. Ashburn was a long-time member of Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge 213, Boumi Shriner, York Rite and Scottish Rite Mason, and and Boumi Legion of Honor.
In addition to his parents Mr. Ashburn was predeceased by his grandson, Todd Stevens; his brother, Leonard E. Harr; and his sisters, Naomi Podleyon and Charlotte Mims.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Arlene A. Ashburn (nee Gloe); his son, Howard Ashburn, III; his daughter, Robin Holt; his grandchildren, Monica, Brooke, Jessica, Elizabeth, and Mary Anne; his sisters, Nettie Glaeser, Beverly Jarrell, Dorothy O’Neil, and Patsy Goddard; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Tom worked as a self-employed real estate title processor and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the church, he held many positions, including being the first branch president of the Brooklyn Park Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His whole mission in life was taking care of people, especially his Mom. He also enjoyed shopping, loved the holidays, and he was great with children. Tom touched many people’s hearts.
Tom was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his brother, John Frentz and several cousins. He also leaves a large number of friends and loved ones.
The Frentz  family invites other family & friends to gather on Tuesday, April 12, from 10-11AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 409 5th Ave SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Donna worked for the Motor Vehicle Administration for many years. She enjoyed playing BINGO and scratch-offs, writing poetry, collecting angels. Her favorite color was purple and she was an avid cat lover.

Lt. Col. Raymond Gene Keener, US Army (ret) - July 21, 1929 - April 02, 2022

Obituary Preview: April 2, 2022, Lt. Col. (ret) Raymond Gene Keener, age 92, passed away peacefully in his home in Millersville, MD. Gene was born on July 21, 1929 in Warren, Ohio to parents Paul C. and Eleanor Otterman Keener. His early years were spent on the Otterman family farm in Freeport, PA. After graduating from Freeport High School in 1947, he enlisted in the Army. While serving in the Army, he continued his education, received his Master’s Degree and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As base commander in Ethiopia, Gene and wife Jay attended a royal wedding, where they were received by Queen Elizabeth of England. He also served in Germany and Korea during his 33 years of active service. Gene finished his career working as a security advisor at the Pentagon. He was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed league bowling, and lived out his passion for Barbershop harmony singing.
Gene married Josephine Thompson, his high school sweetheart, and they had two children. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Thompson Keener; his daughter, Corby Keener Bailey; his son, David Paul Keener; his brother, Dr. Robert P. Keener; his sister, Dr. Marilyn Keener; and his niece, Kristen Keener. Gene is survived by his son-in-law, Ken Bailey; granddaughter, Carter Bailey; his grandsons, Chris (Rachael) Bailey and Collin (Alex) Bailey; his great granddaughter, Audrey Bailey; his brother, David O. (Catherine) Keener; his niece, Cindy Keener (Tim) Rucci; his nephews, David P. (Jeanie) Keener and Dr. Stephen (Tonya) Keener; his grandnephews, Andrew (Mary) Keener and David C. Keener; his grandniece, Margaret Keener; and many Keener and Otterman cousins. Also surviving are Gene’s loving caretakers for the last several years, Ben Tsamenye and Tracy Merrill.

He was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late James and Florence Marsh. A Vietnam veteran, he honorably served his country in the Army, receiving the rank of Sergeant. Charles was a member of the American Legion posts 40, 195 and 187. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, being outdoors, shooting pool and was an avid dog lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Marsh, Margie Miller (Marvin), Barbara Wingfield (Bill) and Carl Marsh (Shirley); brother-in-law, Donald Overton; and his best friends, Allen and Avonia Gee.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Sandra Lee Marsh; loving daughter and step-sons, Sherie Salyer and her husband, Thomas, Robert Lease and his wife, Rosalee and Henry Ott; cherished grandchildren, Shawn (Marla), Kyle, Kayla, Destiny, Kole and Isabelle; beloved great-grandson, Shawn Jr.; and dear siblings, Gary Marsh (Debbie), Gerald Marsh (Susan), Helen Crum (Roger) and Mary Overton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, April 4th, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8  PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
