Elizabeth Reyes Randall - January 30, 1989 - April 04, 2024

Departed: 04/04/2024 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: Reyes-Randall, Elizabeth
Dearest family and friends, we are deeply saddened to announce that Elizabeth “Liz” (Reyes) Randall, 35, of Waukesha, WI, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 4, 2024, due to an acute myocardial infarction. Liz was a sweet, beautiful, generous, loving, caring, and devoted light in our lives. She brightened every room she walked into with her ever-present positivity and infectious smile; we all loved her so very much. We are devastated and heartbroken that she was taken from us much too soon. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her.
Liz will be deeply missed by her husband, the love of her life, Zachary Randall, whom she married October 6, 2023. Zach and Liz met 11 years ago while working at Sam’s Club and they have been inseparable ever since. They soon discovered they were made for each other. Through Zach, Liz gained an extended family who loved her dearly. Together, Liz and Zach enjoyed spending time creating new culinary delights– often hosting cooking and baking competitions for family and friends, traveling together exploring new destinations, playing Pokémon Go around the world, creating extravagant, creative projects, searching far and wide to find a Fuddruckers, and enjoying music, movies, and favorite shows together.
Liz is the youngest of three children raised in Palmyra, WI by her loving parents, the late Jose “Joe” Reyes Jr., and Ernestina “Tina” Reyes (nee Perez). Liz is further survived by her brother Carlos, her sister Rachel (Jeremy) Blackwood, and niece Elena as well as her mother-in law Sandra Randall, brother-in law Quentin, sisters-in-law Savannah and Sophia and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Liz will be remembered for her fun-loving nature, her love of penguins, and the stunning, spectacular, creative, and delicious works of art she created with desserts, cakes, and pastries as a decorator. Her creations were highly sought after, delicious, decadent, and gorgeous gourmet treats. She was extremely skilled, her creativity knew no bounds and she showed love through her beautiful, tasty treats.
Liz was beyond generous to a fault. She was always there to lend a hand whenever needed, went out of her way to help people by any means she could, and was considered by those who knew her to be the nicest, most caring person they have ever known. Our hearts hurt for the loss of a beautiful wife, best friend, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Lizzy, life will never be the same without you, your absence leaves a void in our hearts and you are missed more than you could know.
A mass for the family will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center Street, Wauwatosa at 11:00 am on Friday April 12, 2024. Friends and family, please join us at the Buchner Park Community Room, 223 Oakland Avenue, Waukesha, for a Celebration of Liz’s life between 1-4pm on Friday April 12th. We encourage you to share your memories and stories. Simple Cremation of Wisconsin is proudly serving the Reyes-Randall Family Simple Cremation of Wisconsin (262) 725-6160

Dawn Roth - August 05, 1960 - March 22, 2024

Departed: 03/22/2024 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: On Friday, March 22, 2024, Dawn Renee Roth (formerly Kavalauskas), 63, passed away peacefully in her mother’s home in Salem Lakes, Wisconsin, tragically losing her short battle with lung cancer. Dawn was born on August 5th, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Louise Lin (Yangas) and Glenard Roth. She attended school at Central High School in Salem, Wisconsin.
At a young age, Dawn became a mother; it was something that she treasured and dedicated her life to. She built a loving family of three children and eight grandchildren, often working multiple jobs to provide for them. Everyone would agree, she was an extremely hard-worker, no matter the job she held. Starting out as a waitress then quickly finding her niche in the office space of a manufacturing facility. Dawn later moved on to more challenging roles as Administrative Support Supervisor through Bechtel at the Elm Road Power Plant and the VP of Operations at B&K Photo Supply. Off and on you could find her working at local bars as your friendly, lighthearted, always smiling, bartender. For the last ten years, Dawn worked as a purchasing agent for Lotus Brands. Quickly became a great ambassador for the natural products they distribute. During her time at Lotus, Dawn developed strong relationships with her co-workers, creating a work family that she genuinely appreciated and adored.
Everything Dawn did, she did BIG; it perfectly fit her big heart and big personality. She enjoyed sharing with loved ones her passion for Harley-Davidson, country and rock music, the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, festivals, cooking, pool parties and travels throughout the United States and Europe. Dawn was well known for her devoted love of Harley-Davidson. She owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles, clothing, jewelry, home decor, drinkware, car decals, just about everything imaginable. She took pride in being known as a local badass biker chick. She would travel all over the nation to attend H-D events, participate in bike runs and visit dealerships. When asked if there was anywhere she wanted to go, anything she wanted to see, she said, “I’m a biker chick; I’ve seen it all. If there was something I wanted to see, I would just pack up the bike and go.” When she was not out on the bike, you could find her at home sitting outside enjoying her flowers or cooking “garbage” in the kitchen; garbage was code for “none of your business” when anyone asked what was for dinner. Most evenings you could find her snuggled up on the couch watching TV shows and movies, making sure to never miss the latest scandal on her soap operas. Proudly, she remembered watching General Hospital with her Grandma the year it started, she was a lifelong fan.
Dawn was known for her amazing problem-solving skills; she could always make something out of nothing. This characteristic made her great with helping others in need, no matter the issue. She would be there with open arms, a big smile and something funny to make you smile. This, and her laugh will forever be missed.
She was preceded in death by Louise Lin (mother), Glenard Roth (father) and her brothers James Jacobs, David Roth and Glen Roth.
Dawn is survived by her stepmother Barbara Hanson; her children John (Jennifer) Kavalauskas, Brian (Allie) Kavalauskas and Trina (Vince) Tomczyk; her eight grandchildren Haile, Kaiden, Evan, Ty, Arayah, Ava, Spencer and Gracie; and her brothers, Patrick Lambke and Duane Nicholas. Dawn also left behind her beloved pet rabbit, Ozzy.
A party will be held to celebrate Dawn’s life on Saturday, April 20th from 1 PM to 5 PM at The Village Pub of Silver Lake (American Legion Hall), 307 N Cogswell Drive, Silver Lake, Wisconsin. A brief service will be held at 3:30 PM. Harley-Davidson attire is encouraged.
Some walk into heaven, others ride. Two wheels down, Dawn.

Robert D. Boehm - February 25, 1960 - March 13, 2024

Departed: 03/13/2024 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: Bob Boehm February 25, 1960 - March 13, 2024
Robert David Boehm, affectionately known as Bob, Bozzy, Bobby, Dad, and Bapa, passed away Wednesday, March 13th in his home of over 34 years. Bob was the youngest of three sons to Rudi A. and Erika Boehm, both preceding him in death. His parents and two older brothers immigrated from Germany making him the first American-born of the Boehm family, however, Bob maintained a strong pride in his German heritage and was able to visit Germany when he was young.
Bob will be missed dearly by his daughters, Jeneva Boehm of Watertown and Jamie (Lisett) Boehm of Oconomowoc, and his three beloved grandchildren, Jaret Boehm, Laila Aucutt, and Gavin Boehm.
Bob is survived by his two brothers, Wolfgang (Marge) Boehm of Jackson and Klaus (Tina) Boehm of Pewaukee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Also surviving are Brenda Benishek and Lori Hughes, whom he loved and cared for deeply. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be remembered by all for good times and great stories.
Bob was born in Milwaukee where he lived for years before the family moved to Pewaukee Lake, which became his favorite place to be. After attending Pewaukee High School, Bob joined the Army which led him to Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Fort Lewis, Washington for a while before returning home to Wisconsin. Bob moved to Oconomowoc with his family in 1989.
Fishing and deer hunting were some of his favorite activities over the years as well as playing cards and cribbage. An annual trip to Kelleys Island, Lake Erie would excite him for the entire year as he planned for catching giant walleye and knowing that he made the best fish fry around. Something he took pride in perfecting from the moment the fish was caught. Countless hours were also spent with family and friends over a card table with music playing while singing along. He was not afraid of a big bet because he was really just soaking in quality time spent with others while telling his stories. It wasn’t about winning the money, but he loved to shock others and then, if he won, saying “I needed it!”
He would say that his voice wasn’t the same anymore, but singing was where he shined. Piano Man, Turn the Page, and Cat’s in the Cradle were among his karaoke greatest hits, but he was certainly not limited to those. When music was playing, at any given moment, he would start singing because music was simply part of him.
For years, Bob enjoyed being part of a dart and pool leagues and wouldn’t shy away from an opportunity to show off his skills. When he said he could beat you with a broomstick, he meant beat you at the pool table, and then he would. In more recent years, a cribbage league was where he excelled. During his time in the Army, bowling was a favorite pastime while riding motorcycles and playing golf were among his other interests through the years.
Teaching his kids and grandkids his hobbies and skills was something he most enjoyed because it was quality time with those he loved and he did want to pass down what he knew. He was a jack of all trades and could teach anything from hunting and fishing, to cooking and auto repair. He worked as a painter and general contractor for years as “The Working Man” and expected perfection from himself. He worked hard, but he also knew that working to live was far more important than living to work.
Bob explicitly expressed that he did not want a funeral upon his death, he wanted a party. In honor of his life, we will be celebrating him with his friends and family on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 1-4 PM at American Legion Post 294 located at 231 Goodwin Ave., Hartland, WI 53029.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an obituary?

An obituary is a written notice that announces the death of a person, typically including their name, age, date of birth and death, and a brief biography. It's often published in a newspaper, online, or in a funeral home's website to inform friends, family, and community members of the person's passing.

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries serve as a way to honor and celebrate the life of the deceased, while also providing important information to those who need to know about the funeral arrangements and other details. They also provide a sense of closure and can be a therapeutic way for loved ones to process their grief.

What information should be included in an obituary?

A typical obituary includes the person's full name, age, date of birth and death, place of residence, occupation, education, hobbies, achievements, and surviving family members.
