Obituary Preview: Kirk, John Dale- Age 82, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Flushing, died June 21, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, June 28 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St. Flint. Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 27 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. A Scripture service followed by a time of sharing will start at 6:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be held again from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at 11 AM on Wednesday June 28 at the church.  Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
John was born October 6, 1940 in Flint, the son of John S. and Grace (Blazier) Kirk.  He was a 1958 graduate of Flint Central High School where he was selected as All Conference 1st Team  for the Saginaw Valley Conference in Basketball.  He then attended Flint Junior College where he played basketball also.  John retired from General Motors, GMSPO. He married Nancy Farage on April 25, 2007. John started as a Marshall in 1958 for The Buick Open and he served as the Coordinator and Announcer on the 1st tee for 29 years. John also coached freshman basketball for 5 years at Flushing High School. He was a long time Sports official. He was the Supervisor of Officials (Football, Basketball and Wrestling) for the Saginaw Valley Athletic League. He was the Supervisor of Officials for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Men's and Women's Athletic Conference (Basketball) and Michigan Community College Athletic Association Women's Eastern Conference and Men's Eastern Conference. He was the Supervisor on the NCAA Women's Basketball Committee Division II National Tournament. He was the Supervisor of Officials of the NCAA Women's Division II Midwest Regional Tournament. John was a Michigan High School registered official for 40 years. He was recognized by the Saginaw Valley League with the 4o Years of Service Award.  He received the Genesee County Coaches and Officials Association Lifetime Achievement Award and Jim Massar service Award. He was inducted into the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Hall of Honor. He received the Bruin Club of Genesee County Charlie Russian Sports Service Award. He received the 2007 Buick Open Golf Tournament Bob Urich Volunteer of the Year Award.
John loved Golf, Basketball and playing Euchre. John loved his family and being with his grandkids.
Surviving are: his wife Nancy; two daughters Brandi Smith and Kelly Glynn; five grandchildren, Hannah, Jordan, Amirah, Cruz and Everly. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lori was born October 28, 1971 in Flint, the daughter of Richard and Rita (Haughton) Larson. She was a 1989 graduate of Holy Rosary Catholic High School and she received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Baker College. She had resided in Grand Blanc for the past 3 years coming from Davison and Flint. She was employed by Midwest Management Group, Inc. in Farmington Hills. Lori was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Davison. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking, baking, cleaning and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are her: daughters, Madyson Mochty of Ann Arbor and Mckenzie Mochty of Grand Blanc; grand dog, Beckham; mother, Rita Larson of Lapeer; sister, Lindsay Measle of Davison; Nieces, Samara Measle and Kaelyn Larson; and nephews, Aiden Measle and Jordan Larson.

Gerald Allen Lundberg II was born on March 30, 1969 in Flint, Michigan to Gerald Allen and Suzanne Marie (Cushman) Lundberg.  He was a hardworking man who enjoyed camping, he loved his kids and cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Rodney was born April 28, 1952, in Flint, the son of Cecil and Leola (Niver) Adams. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and Michigan State University. He married Barbara Baryo on September 29, 1984 in Burton. He was a proud Eastsider. Rod was an avid golfer. He boxed in the Flint Golden Gloves and was proud to have run in The Crim. Rod enjoyed fishing, bike riding, and most outdoor activities. Rod loved music, particularly Motown and the Blues. He was a long time member of 12 Step programs.
Surviving are his wife Barbara; three children Sara (Austin) Schmidt, Becky (James) Hilving, Charles (Jesi) Morgan; grandchildren, Maddy, Olivia, Trevor, Chloe, Griffin; sister, Carol (Gary) Mayer; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Bonnie and Barbara.

Obituary Preview: Peake, Ronald James - Born December 29, 1943, in Flint Michigan. He went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2023. Ron was married to Linda D. Peake on August 5, 1967, at Bethany Baptist Church. They had two children, Jeffrey M. (Julie) Peake and Colleen R. Peake. He also had one grandson, Dr. Anthony J. Mastin.
Ron worked 32 years for General Motors, at Chevy in the Hole, until he retired in 1996. Ron loved spending time with his family. Any day spent boating was a good day. He also spent much of his time volunteering with different organizations, such as Big Brothers in Flint, First Baptist church in Durand, West Side Auto Employees Credit Union and taught young kids hunter’s safety. There were many years he stood in the cold, selling papers for The Old Newsboys of Flint. Finally, he spent over 20 years volunteering with The American Red Cross.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife Linda D. Peake, parents Francis H. Peake and Helen K. Peake, In-Laws James and Dorothy Jurd, Sister Margaret Durkee and brother Raymond Peake.
He is survived by son Jeffrey M. (Julie) Peake, daughter Colleen R. Peake, Grandson Dr. Anthony J. Mastin, Brother Richard (Diana) Peake, Brother Walter (Edythe) Peake, Sister-in-Law Sue Peake, Sister-in-Law Charlotte Jurd, Sister-in-Law Yvonne (Jim) Fry and Sister-in-Law Jill (Rocky) Clements. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, who he loved very much.
Ron is survived by very special family friends Tom and Carole Stefanski, their children and grandchildren.
Ron battled Dementia for six and a half years, fortunately he kept his sense of humor (which his children used to distract from the frustration) and the names of those close to him. Dementia sucks! His children will miss the field and crop report while driving by the many farms in the area. The farmer’s almanac says you will have a good yield if the “corn is knee high by the 4th of July.
There will be no viewing or service, please consider a donation The Old Newsboys of Flint or The American Red Cross of Genesee County. Ron’s children will spread his and Linda’s ashes at a later date according to their wishes.

Susan is survived by : her husband, Charles; children, Savanna (Eric) Reagan, Brandon (Samantha) Johnson, Julie Ann (Tony) Jackson, and Timothy (Christina) Johnson; grandchildren, Caitlyn Johnson, Derek Johnson, and Willow Rose; several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Kimie was born on January 10, 1963 in Flint, the daughter of William and Connie (Martin) Ford. She was a 1981 graduate of Kearsley High School where she was a cheerleader winning many competitions in her day, always with a smile on her face. She graduated with her ADN as a Registered Nurse in 1989 from Mott Community College and in 2007 obtained a BA in Social Work through the University of Michigan. She worked for many years as a RN in the ER and Labor and Delivery at FOC and also the Odessey House and Valley Area Aging. Kimie dedicated her life to helping others in need. She was very artistic and sewed all of her children's Halloween costumes and hand decorated their birthday cakes. Kimie was so proud of her children and loved sharing pictures of her beloved granddaughter with friends and family. She loved her dog Snookie to pieces, was a big fan of University of Michigan football and loved her 80’s music.
She is survived by her children, Jordan, Derrick, Evan and Allison; grand daughter, Elliana; father, William (Linda) Ford; brother, Lance Nicholson; sister, Jodi (Todd) Stein; and many nieces and nephews.

Neil was born in Detroit, Michigan. He married Mary Beth, the love of his life, and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He retired from General Motors in management after thirty-seven years. Neil attended Court St. United Methodist Church in Flint. He was a community activist and regularly volunteered in both Flint Township and Genesee County. He actively lived his life as a strong advocate for community safety as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.
A strong passion of Neil's was music; he enjoyed playing the French Horn with many orchestras and ensembles in the Detroit and Flint areas. Neil stayed active by kickboxing, biking, hiking, and working in his yard. He also enjoyed wine tasting with friends and playing with his grandson.
Neil is survived by his dear wife, Mary Beth, his two daughters Rebecca and Julie (John), and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Neil's family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Ibrahim al-Sanouri and the staff at Hurley Medical Center for their wonderful support and care during this difficult time.

She is survived by her children, Howard G. (Jean) Wilson of the Philippines; Sherry Lynn (Jack) Anderson of Grand Blanc; Jennifer (Pat Wenzlick) Okoniewski of Montrose; and Jeffrey Wilson of Flint.  Grandchildren, Monica; Tommy; Krystle: and Jeremy.  Eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Audrey Faye Denney was born on February 15, 1935 to the late Charlie F. and Cassie Leola Denney in Cullman, Alabama. She married Howard L. Wilson on November 5, 1953 and  he passed away on January 11, 2016. Beyond raising her five children, Audrey worked as a secretary in the insurance industry. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, decorating her house and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

He was a past president of the Michigan Movers and Warehouseman's Association,  and the Flint Traffic Club. He was a member of the 100 Club. He served on national boards for the Moving and Storage industry.
Surviving are: wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; two sons, Scott Jeffery (Kelly) Jackson, Casey Allen Jackson; four grandsons, David, Jonathan, Thomas, Matthew; sister Mariellen (L.S.) Aerie #3814 in Burton. She was a Home Party Sales Dealer. Barbara enjoyed quilting, canning, and especially hosting and entertaining family and friends.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
