Obituary Preview: Michael Bryan, 67, of Ladoga, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at his home.
Mike was born November 3, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Benjamin and Patricia (Miller) Bryan. He was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon High School and was united in marriage to Pamela Witt in September of 1977.
Mike owned Ladoga Tire Service, which he operated with his father for 38 years. He subsequently worked for FedEx from 2006 until 2012.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Pam Bryan of Ladoga; his daughters, Aimee (Andy) Heacox of Greenfield, and Mallory (Ben) Slaton of Columbus; his grandchildren, Addison, Andrew and Avery Heacox, and Grant and Reid Slaton; his sisters, Susan Eilert and Tricia (Rodger) Stinson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Rick Eilert.
Mike loved sports and was Purdue’s number one fan. Before he passed, he had hoped to see Purdue reach the Final Four. Mike realized this dream with his family, and tears were streaming down his face. That moment was priceless and unforgettable. Mike had season tickets to Purdue’s football and basketball games over the years and would attend games with his father, children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. Mike was also an Indy Car fan, attending the Indy 500 for most of his life, and later taking annual trips to races in Iowa. If he wasn’t watching college or professional sports, he was at the ballpark watching his grandkids. Nothing made Mike prouder than watching his grandkids play softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball and wrestling. He never missed a Grandparents Day at school.
Mike was hilarious and quick-witted, but also kind, sensitive, and loving. He enjoyed regular trips with Pam and his family to the mountains in Gatlinburg, the beaches in Florida, and the rolling hills in Iowa.
Mike attended Roachdale Christian Church and Ladoga Christian Church. He was a member and Past Master of Ladoga F & AM Lodge #187.
Mike bravely fought pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer since his diagnosis in July of 2012. He was passionate about learning more about this rare disease and helping others in the process.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Ladoga Christian Church with Rev. Bob Vice officiating on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1:00p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00am until service time. A graveside service will follow at Ladoga Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Gregory “Greg” Wayne Vice, 71, passed away unexpectedly on 03/30/2024. We honor the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many with his selflessness and kindness. We find comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Linda, in the embrace of eternity. Their partnership was a testament to the enduring power of love, and their legacy of devotion will forever be etched in our hearts.
Born on September 23, 1952 to Virginia (Bennett) and Kenneth George Vice. He graduated from Paris High School in 1969. Greg and Linda were married November 7, 1969. He is survived by his son, Kenny D. (Crystal) Vice, and daughter, Kimbie (Mark) Casteel; grandchildren Cassy Vice, Kyle (Halee) Vice, Sydney and Toby Casteel, great-grandchildren; Vinny, Camden, Grace, Annie and several nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by wife, his parents, granddaughter, Corley Casteel; and siblings Karen Wang and Keith “Pete” Vice.
Greg’s passion for automobiles ignited at a young age and burned brightly throughout his life. He started his career at Hyster in Danville, IL and then later joined the family business at Kenny Vice Ford Sales. He also owned Nifty Fifty Louver Company. Greg was a wizard in the garage, with an uncanny ability fix just about anything. He enjoyed playing guitar, attending car shows, swap meets, anything that involved car racing. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #00144. He attended Ladoga Christian Church and was an ordained minister.
Guided by his deep faith, Greg saw every person he encountered as a beloved child of God, worthy of love and respect. His warm smile and compassionate spirit made him a friend to all, and he made it his mission to spread God’s love though acts of kindness and generosity. Throughout his life, Greg embodied the spirit of giving, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. With an abundance of patience, Greg mentored countless young men and women who shared his passion for mechanics.

Miles Jr., a devoted husband, father, papaw, coach, and friend who was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 20, 2024, at the age of 67. Though his earthly journey was marked by physical challenges, his spirit now soars free in the realms of heaven, where he is reunited with loved ones and made whole once more.
Born on October 28, 1956, to Anna May (Cage) and Lester E. Miles Sr. He graduated from North Putnam High School in 1975. Lester and Sharon (Cross Casteel) were married on October 1, 1983. He is survived by his wife of 40 years; son, Mark (Kimbie) Casteel; grandchildren, Sydney and Toby Casteel; sisters, Catherine M. (Steve) Baker and Virginia Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Corley Casteel; and siblings Sandra, David, and Richard Miles.
Despite the challenges he faced, Lester refused to be defined by his limitations, demonstrating extraordinary strength and courage in every moment. He coached football, basketball, baseball, and softball. He was a Ladoga Town Council member for 20 years, served on the Historic Ladoga/Old Normal board, and was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church. For many, Lester was known as the “mayor” of Ladoga – you could often find him at the gas station, grocery store, Ford garage, town office, or cruising around town. He found immense joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and extracurricular activities.
Lester lived a life guided by resilience, determination, and boundless love. As a coach, he inspired countless individuals to reach beyond their perceived limitations, igniting their passion for excellence and instilling in them the belief that anything is possible with perseverance and dedication. His impact extended far beyond the field, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bruce and Chrystel D. Whitehead started dating on June 4, 1993, they have shared 30 years together. Bruce loved gadgets and electronics. He enjoyed both playing and teaching others to play chess and video games. He also enjoyed building and launching rockets. He had a train collection too. He attended Gen Con every year with his friends. Bruce loved taking walks with Chrystel and being in the tranquility of nature and being outdoors. He loved watching movies while he and Chrystel were relaxing at home. He also enjoyed working out. Bruce received his degree from I.B.C. He was an ordained minister too. He worked in Security at Eli Lilly also.
He is survived by Chrystel Whitehead, his mother, Betty Fallen, siblings; Rick Adams, Allen(Julie) Adams, Susan (Emery) Fallen, 42 nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, special friends, Ken Piper, Tina Berryman and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orris Glover, baby brother Orris E. Glover and his dog and best friend Bud.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street, Ladoga, IN 47954. Burial will follow in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may gather at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

He was born March 9, 1935 in Kenton County, Kentucky to Jesse C. and Mamie Lee (Cope) Cook. He married Cora Loraine Keller on August 25, 1957 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife Cora Cook of Ladoga, 3 daughters; Madonna Fisher of Ladoga, Trina Leonard (Chip) of Crawfordsville and Michelle Simpson (Audie) of Crawfordsville, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jim and Clifford Cook, and his son, Roger Cook.
Dale was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1952 to 1956. He was a proud member of the VFW, American Legion, and Ladoga Nazarene Church. He was also a member of The Moose, Eagles and Elks. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies include woodworking and listening to gospel and country music.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Ladoga High School. She was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church. Shirley worked at the Gas Station and Mini Mart in the Roachdale area for 15 years. She loved gardening and working in her yard. Family was everything to her. Shirley is survived by four sons; Bryan Todd, Bruce Todd (Cynthia), Brad Todd (Carla), Brett Todd along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Beverly Flemming (Kim)
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
According to Shirley’s wish there will be a private memorial service held at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Alan Dale Williams 75, of Ladoga passed away Saturday February 10, 2024 at Franciscan Health of Indianapolis. Alan was born March 14, 1948 in Crawfordsville to the late Jake G. Williams and Oveta “Bernice” Williams (McClamroch)
On April 3, 1966 at the First Christian Church in Crawfordsville Alan married Sharon K. Willhite. They had shared 56 years of marriage before her passing on April 15, 2022.
Alan had worked for 40 years at R.R. Donnelley and Sons. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and horseback riding.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are a son Alan Williams, and a daughter Crystal Cope, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, two brothers; Dallas and Keith, along with two sisters; Jill and Pam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon K. Williams, two sisters, Janet and Donna, and a brother Dennis.
There will be a private burial in the Willhite family cemetery.

She was 84. Judy was born in Kingman, Indiana on July 16, 1939 to the late Pearl Lee and Kathleen Jackson Zackmire. On Aug. 17, 1957, she married Leland Hugh Chumley.
Judy worked for several years at Ladoga Elementary School as a teacher's aide in the special needs class. Judy enjoyed basket weaving, sewing, oil painting, knitting, crocheting, flower gardening and reading. She made numerous baskets and gifted them to family and friends. Some of her artwork and other handmade items will be displayed at the service
Her favorite places that she visited during her travels were Mesa Verde, Alaska, and the Panama Canal.
She is survived by her husband, Leland; three daughters, Lelane (Bob) Luttrell of Crawfordsville, Ind; Penny (Ehrich Thomas) Chumley of Graham, NC; and Amanda (Rian) Yablun of Spring Grove, IL; two granddaughters Taylor Driscoll and Makenna Yablun; a step-granddaughter Sadie Thomas Ragen.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Neil and five sisters, Velma Zackmire, Ruth Anna Sutton, Wilma Woodrow, Mary Foxworthy, and Maureen Moody.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street Ladoga, Indiana officiated by Pastor Ron Gardner of Ladoga Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ladoga Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Priscilla was born September 2, 1924, to Frances Hutchens Davenport in Indianapolis.
She spent most of her childhood with her grandparents, Leonard and Grace Hutchens in Darlington. She attended Darlington school. She was a devoted housewife and owner of a variety store in Ladoga. Pricilla was a member of Ladoga Christian Church. She also was a 50+ year member of Eastern Star. Priscilla married Leon Flick in Tipton, IN on December 8, 1941. He proceeded her in death in 2004. They had shared 63 years of marriage together.
Survivors include their 3 children, Kenny (Pat Galloway), Linda Cox, and Keith Wayne. Priscilla and Leon were foster parents to several boys and one girl, Betty Parks Smith. She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She also had a sister-in-law, Marguerite Davenport.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leonard and David Davenport; a sister, Mary Lou; a sister-in-law Beverly Davenport; 2 daughters in laws, Terry and Susan; a son-in-law, James Byron Cox and a grandchild, Kenneth Flick II.
Services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Ladoga Christian Church, 124 W Elm St, Ladoga, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 11am until the time of the funeral service. Rod Noggle will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ladoga Cemetery.

Pamela was quite the hard worker. Anything that needed done from repairing something that was broken, to remodeling rooms to fixing roofs she would do anything to help others out.
Pamela is survived by her sister Debbie Albrecht (Jeff) of Tucson, AZ a brother Mike Bush of Crawfordsville, Step-children Amy Aguilar (Adrian), Samantha Barry (Corey), step-grandchildren Carson Smith, Joaquin Aguilar, Evan Barry, Jayden Barry, along with a niece Holly Albrecht and nephew Andrew Bush, and her significant other Dan Mahorney.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
According to Pamela’s wishes there will be no public services at this time.

Obituary Preview: Howard Miller McMullen passed away peacefully at his home on November 14, 2023. Howard was born on December 2, 1924, in Montgomery County, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his twin sister Helena who died on February 23, 1997, Father William, and Mother Eleanor Miller McMullen. He graduated from Roachdale High School with the Class of 1943. Howard married Frances Kugelman on August 8, 1948, in Indianapolis and she passed away November 15, 1998. They were married for over 50 years. He later married Wilene (Hart) on June 9, 2001, at Roachdale Christian Church. Howard is survived by his wife Wilene, sons Larry McMullen (Patsy), Ken McMullen (Cheryl) and daughter Carmel Stanley (Dave). He is also survived by grandchildren Brian McMullen (Lisa), Kyle McMullen (Monica), Jill Keller (Wes), Jamie Sanders (Amanda), Nikki Galloway (Doug), and Joni Serowik (Corey). He had 21 great-grandchildren. Howard was a lifelong farmer and served in World War II in the Navy where he was stationed at Port Columbus Naval Air Base at Lambert Field. He served aboard a heavy cruiser ship the USS Rochester. He was a member of the American Legion at Post 72 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church and drove a school bus for 12 years. Howard McMullen was adored and beloved and liked to tell a joke or two.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 North Washington Street, Ladoga, Indiana with Pastor Nate Bryan officiating, Military Honors by the United State Navy, and Post #72 Honor Guard. Bernard Mullen - July 17, 1958 - October 02, 2023

Obituary Preview: Bernard Alan “Bernie” Mullen, aged 65, of Ladoga passed suddenly from this world of natural causes on October 2, 2023 at 4:57pm and went to be with Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Wethington) Mullen, a daughter Suanna “Shadon” Brown (Ryan) of Waynetown; a pseudo-son Gary Richard Sams (Jamie) of New Ross; and five grandchildren: Zachary Carroll, Kaitlynn Sams, Jacob Reath, Nolyn Brown, and Keaton Brown; two sisters: Amy Lynn Fonner (John) Mechanicsville, MD and Debra Ann Rey (Rene’) of Crofton, MD. He was preceded in death by a brother Gary Matthew Mullen (Theresa) of Lusby, MD. He was the most beloved “Uncle Bernie” to many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Bernie was born on July 17, 1958 in Washington, DC to Bernard Matthew and Martha Mae (Williford) Mullen, both deceased. He grew up in his grandparents’ home and his grandfather’s faith would have a lasting impression on him throughout his life. He joined the US Navy in 1977 and proudly served several tours on the USS Guam in the Mediterranean. He married Theresa in 1997 and became a proud, transplanted Hoosier. He worked for Dowell Masonry to help build, restore, and preserve many structures in our community until he retired in 2021.
Most importantly, Bernie was a humble man of God with a strong heart for Jesus and his family. He loved our Monday Bible studies and our Friday Night Dinners where our house, and oftentimes our porch or backyard, was full of people, love, and laughter. Bernie was so passionate about “being the church” and quickly volunteered when God put someone in our path that needed any kind of anything from sharing a meal, to a place to stay, to moving people across the country.
Bernie left a strong legacy with his family and friends. The love he had for his wife and daughter was unwavering. He had a quick wit and was one of the smartest people we knew. He enjoyed simple things and was always rearranging, or making something for whatever his grandkids were into including forts, wooden guns, and sponge bob posters. Anyone who knew Bernie knew his passion for his grandchildren. Simply put, Papaw was their biggest toy! He took great care of his family and friends and if there was a need, he filled it. He will forever be loved and missed by all those whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Bernie’s Life will be held on Thursday, October 5th at the Old Normal Hall at 100 N. Harrison St. in Ladoga from 5-8pm. A buffet will be available. Donations in lieu of Flowers can be made in honor of Bernie to Historic Ladoga at 100 N. Harrison St., Ladoga, IN 47954. Phone 765-942-2009.

She was born October 23, 1935, in Crawfordsville to the late Merle and Gertrude (Blaydes) Light. On January 1, 1954, in Ladoga she married Eugene Walters. He preceded her in death June 8th, 2015.
Evangeline graduated from Ladoga High School with the Class of 1953. She worked in several capacities during her working career: J.C. Penny, Ingress-Plastines, Indiana Children’s Christian Home in Ladoga, Bresler’s Ice Cream, and baby-sitting in her home for many children through-out the years. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, watching her hummingbirds, babysitting, loving her church family, and most of all family gatherings. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her four children: Marvin Walters (Becky), Donna Reed, Jerry Walters (Carla), and Mary Lou Hutchison (Randy); ten grandchildren: Elizabeth Christmas, Sara Taylor (Mark), Rachel Whitsitt (Jake), and Ruthie Walker (Vic); Johna Stull (Ryan), Michael Reed (Joyce), Julie Funk; Mandy Walters, Stacy Davis (Dakota); Stephen Richmond; nineteen great-grandchildren: Olivia and Bryce Christmas; Ford and Sofia Taylor; Mia and Tess Whitsitt; Luke Stull; Chance and Ivory Reed; Danica, Adalyn and Renley Funk; Beckett, Benson, and Brynley Jones, Lexi Davis; Cayden, Bailey and Aubree Richmond; brothers Dennis Light (Vera) and Duane Light (Brenda).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Keith Light.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, 117 East State Road 234, Ladoga, Indiana 47954 with Pastor Mark Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Ladoga Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday at the church.

He preceded her in death July 22, 2013.
Mary graduated High School in England. After moving to the United States with her husband, they successfully owned and operated McClure’s in Ladoga for fifty years. Mary enjoyed sewing, crafts, wordsearch puzzles, reading and being with her family.
She is survived by her three children; Wade (Kathy) McClure, David McClure, Danny McClure, three grandchildren; David (Carlee) McClure, Samantha McClure, Seth Elliott, and great grandson; Colter McClure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her twelve siblings.

He was born on January 19, 1941 to Paul and Wilma (Buchanan) Bradley at their rural Ladoga home. He graduated from Ladoga High School in 1960 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Patsy K. (Stowers Long) Bradley on August 22, 2019.
Gary was a lifelong farmer who loved John Deere equipment. If there was something on the farm that wasn’t John Deere it most likely was painted green and yellow. His love for life had him racing motorcycles, competing in poker runs and becoming a private pilot. Gary was a member of New Ross Christian Church, served on the South Montgomery School Board, and the Crawfordsville Regional Airport Board. Those who knew him also knew his love for practical jokes. In later years his favorite crop rotation was, corn-beans-Florida as he and Patsy enjoyed many winters in Okeechobee.
He is survived by his wife, son Brian (Pam) Bradley, daughter Melissa Bradley, Daughter-in-law Angie Alsip ,step-children Brad (Tammy) Long, Tammy(Jim) Bullerdick, Kim(Josh) Buckrop and Jennifer(Shane) Abney. Between Gary and Patsy, they shared 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers- Mike and David and son Darren.
He will be laid to rest by his family at the Ladoga Cemetery with Pastor David Bower officiating.

He was born April 27, 1936, in Crawfordsville to the late Floyd W. and Hazel H. (Watkins) Dickerson. On November 30, 1955, he married the love of his life, Mary “Sue” (Light) Dickerson. They shared sixty-seven years together. Sue survives.
Richard graduated from Ladoga High School. He began serving others and his community at a very young age and did so all his life. He served as Ladoga Fire Chief, EMT with PMH, Clark Township Trustee, Member of Ladoga Christian Church, Woodland Heights Christian Church, where he served as an elder and a deacon and Sunday School teacher, and the Army Reserves. In his working career he worked for High Point Oil Co, Indiana Printing, Karle Trucking, Yellow Freight, where he had surpassed the 2-million-mile mark upon retirement, and lastly owning and operating Crawfordsville Sew and Vac with his daughter, Tera. Some of his hobbies included photography, racing go-karts in his earlier years, and more importantly, studying his Bible.
He is survived by his wife Sue, three children; Debra (Joe) Carter, Sandra Dickerson, Tera (Jeff) Endicott, grandchildren: Jenny (Tim), Casie (Mike), Chelsea (Marc), Zachary (Hillary), Travis (Kim), great grandchildren; Abby, Eric, Caden, Mason, and Emily, Maddie, Izzy, Carter, Josie, Zeke, Eli, Rafe, and Ainsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters; Jeanne Strother, Martha Jo Farber, and Phyllis Ann Baker.
Funeral service for Richard will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Woodland Heights Christian Church 468 North Woodland Heights Drive, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 with Pastor Tim Lueking officiating. He will be laid to rest in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends are invited for a time of visitation with the family on Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church. Tom light of his world was his daughter Mandi. He was big on family, his children, grandchildren and extended family. Family meant the world to him. He was very outgoing and a jokester. Family and friends say he was the levelheaded one and the one to keep the peace. He had also recently became an ordained minister.
Survivors include his daughter Mandi Ahnert (Travis), grandchildren Cassidy Kennedy, Collin Kennedy, Ariel, Terrance, and Skie Ahnert, siblings James “JC” Clendening, Bruce Clendening (Kathy), and his beloved dog Chopper along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert L. Clendening Jr. and James “Rabbit” Sanders.

David was a private pilot, he loved to play cards, skeet shoot, and spend time outdoors. His family was very important to him, and he leaves behind a beautiful and strong legacy for them to cherish.
He is survived by his loving wife, two boys; Dennis Bradley and Andrew Bradley, grandsons; Tyler Allen Bradley and Travis Andrew Bradley, siblings, Gary (Patsy) Bradley, and Stephen Bradley (Carolyn Gibson), many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael James Bradley, and nephew, Darren James Bradley.

Lynn had a grasp of the good Lord and knew where she came from and where she would return. She touched many lives, was therapeutic, and a life light to many. Younger people adopted her as a second mom. She loved to be called Mom or Momma from all her babies whether she gave birth to them or not.
Surviving to cherish her memory are sons; Adam (Mary) Smith of Ladoga, IN, Thomas (Layla) Lovins of Valley View, TX, sister Sue Benge Lathrop of Barnard, IN, brothers David (Paula) Benge of Shelbyville, KY, Joe (Kathy) Benge of Roachdale, IN, six granddaughters, one grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death was her firstborn Robert L. Smith, and her brother, Donald T. Benge.

Rupert would challenge anyone else that would attempt to enter the pen. Everett loved his dogs China, Fred and Little Bit. Playing guitars with his sons brought great joy and entertainment to the family. His family enjoyed cookouts every summer and playing horseshoes. Teams were chosen by picking nuts and bolts. He enjoyed meeting up with his Aunt Helen.
Survivors include his son, Everett Dale Mathis Jr, (Ronda); daughters, Sandra Mathis (Mike), and Mary Mathis (Allen). Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. He will be missed by many.
Everett was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter Helen Mathis and son Issac Mathis.

She was born on March 19, 1943, in Crawfordsville to the late Keith Cox and Lucille (Peebles) Cox. Sherry married Ralph D. Winger on January 10, 1997 and they were married 23 years before he preceded her in death in October of 2020.
Sherry graduated from Darlington High School in May of 1961. Her first marriage was to Richard C. Shelton with whom she had three children. They were married for 20 years, he preceded her in death in June of 2020. Sherry worked at Purdue University, in several schools as a teacher’s aide, with Charlene Walls at S &W Group and owned the Bread Basket Restaurant in Darlington.
She was active in church all of her life and her memberships included Darlington United Methodist, Linden United Methodist, and Whitesville Christian Church. She was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher and she sang in the choir. She was in the MNO Extension Homemakers Club. Other volunteer work included Pink Ladies and Meals on Wheels. Sherry touched the lives of many with her loving and giving personality.
She treasured spending time with her family, friends, and watching sports, especially when her children and grandchildren were playing.
She is survived by her three children, Duane (Diane) Shelton of Bainbridge, Doug (Angel) Shelton of Fishers and Debbie (Bill) Calder of Crawfordsville; two step-daughters Terri (Allen) Cline and Tami Galbo, both of Ladoga; grandchildren: Ron Johnson, Jacob and Adam Shelton, Chase Calder, Kyle (Krish) Calder; step grandchildren: Kristin Cline, Tyler (Breanna) Cline, Kyle (Tori) Cline, Filippo Galbo, and Enzo Galbo; greatgrandchildren; Johannah Calder, Konley and Kreighton Calder; step-greatgrandchildren; Vivian, Wyatt and Lanie Paris and Clara Cline; siblings: Kay Norton, George (Karon) Cox, Janni Hall, Mary (Steve) Harrison.
