Cody James Boast - July 03, 2001 - April 15, 2024

Departed: 04/15/2024 (Portage)
Obituary Preview: Cody James Boast, 22, of Lilly, found peace Monday, April 15, 2024. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on July 3, 2001, son of Nicole Boast.
Cody is preceded in death by his great grandmother (“Bubba”), Mary Ruth (Dougherty) Boast and great-uncle, Kevin “Whoopy” Boast.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Boast; mother, Nicole Boast; grandparents, Timothy and Michele (Boast) Klayko; and his many loving family members (aunts, uncles, cousins, half-siblings) and close friends (Rachel N., Timmy C., Derrick, Evan N., and Alex J.).
He loved surrounding himself with family and friends. Cody was often seen at the PNA (Polish National Alliance) Lilly club shooting pool with his friends, singing karaoke, and spending time with his beloved family there. He was a member of the PNA Lilly club and Sons of the American Legion.
Cody will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, passionate personality, creativity, and his dozens of tattoos. Some of those tattoos were silly, while others held unquestionable meaning and honored essential people in his life. He had a love for song-writing and creating music, while holding a deep appreciation for rap. His favorite artist, Juice WRLD, was a profound inspiration for him. He also loved his mustang, or as Cody’s son (Anthony) called it, the “red race car.” A lot of hours, work, and money were put into that mustang. However, it was the priceless bonding time with his “Pap” that Cody valued the most.
His presence will be missed by many, and felt in all aspects of life— from morning routines, to many long nights on Fortnite, to his favorite places.

Rose Marie Nagle - March 11, 1930 - November 18, 2023

Departed: 11/18/2023 (Portage)
Obituary Preview: Nagle, Rose Marie [McGarry], 93, of Cresson, PA, sadly passed away on November 18, 2023. Rose was born on March 11, 1930, to Edward and Media McGarry. She was the last surviving child of 12 and is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilfurd (Kenneth) Nagle, and daughter, Sharon Buck. Rose is survived by her son Richard Nagle  and daughter-in-law Victoria Nagle, Duncansville; son-in-law Ralph Buck of Ohio, grandchildren Heather, John, and Kenny, and great grandchildren Marcus, Damien, Jacob, Isabella, Celina, and Elijah. Rose would say her life was not extraordinary, but anyone that knew her would disagree. In her opinion, she was not a great student, cook, or adventurer. She charmingly objected to having her picture taken, but no one could resist when they visited her. Her deep love for her family and friends was truly unmatched and was evident in her long life of compassion and sacrifice. She eagerly provided the unconditional love of which so many in the modern world are incapable. In times of great sorrow, she was the tireless matriarch, providing love, guidance, and stability when others needed her most. Her selflessness and nourishing temperament will persist for generations in the lives and actions of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Although she would modestly disagree, Rose was extraordinary in her ability to love unconditionally, and her laughter, hugs, and reassuring words will be deeply missed. We invite family and friends to a mass on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church, Lilly. Fr. Matthew Reese, Celebrant. The mass will be followed by a graveside service at Lillydale Cemetery. Online condolonces may be made at serenkoclaarfuneralhome.com.
